::vaughn:: The five day festivities. This was by far one of the most ridiculous things that Vaughn had ever heard about. A peace treaty. Idiot kings believed that signing it on paper meant something, but it was absolutely disposable. They could easily break their word and Vaughn was fairly certain that somewhere down the road, one of them would. Yet, they celebrated the fact that they all had the mental capacity to sign a temporary alliance. Never the less, it could prove to be an advantage. There would be wealthy royalty and nobility throughout the various kingdoms and that would mean it would be an extremely extravagant event. Extravagance meant wealth, and wealth meant, well, money in Vaughn's pocket. He only attended to see what it had to offer and what fun he could create upon attending.
Getting in was not difficult at all. He was dressed as a knight and was able to get the necessary attire for the next five days, if he did in fact plan to stay here for that long. He provided the necessary seal and papers proving his nobility. Vaughn Adeney, first son of Lord Adeney. The guards granted him entrance all too easily. They had not heard of him, but could not deny the completely authentic papers he had to offer.
Tonight was the night of introductions. Thank god it was not a themed ball. The idea of dressing in the theme of a season added to the ridiculousness of this entire festival. Tonight, Vaughn was dressed in a dark outfit, with some gold work on his suit. It was one of the few times he did not wear his armor in public, though he would not be self conscious about it. Tonight was supposed to be a time to celebrate peace. No one would create a scene, unless it was him. Or well, hopefully. He would not want everyone else to have all the fun now would he.
Upon entering, his eyes scanned the crowd. It was filled with people and everyone extremely dressed up in their fancy clothing. Beautiful women surrounded the room. Vaughn could not help but smile at this. Upon his surveying of the crowd, his gaze rested on one particular woman. He knew who she was, even though he had not personally met her yet: Lady Morgana. The King`s ward. A woman raised practically like the King of Camelot's daughter. Vaughn wanted to get to know her indeed. He began to approach her.
One of the worst things about such an event was the fact that he would have to act genuinely charming. Vaughn could be quite charismatic, but it was all an act. His true nature different from this a great deal. But tonight, he would have to at least act like a noble knight. Honorable. Respectful. Kind. How very revolting. But, if it could grant him being in the company of such a beautiful woman as Lady Morgana herself, then why not. When he was standing near her, he lowered himself in a bit of a bow. "My Lady," he greeted in the most respectful voice he could create. He looked up at her, smiling. "I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting you," he added, just to be more polite. Tonight was going to be an interesting night indeed.

Morgana greatly enjoyed festivities. The great gathering of all the noblemen, the towns people, the servants and royalty from kingdoms alike, coming together to celebrate. The Five Day Festivities were to celebrate peace between Camelot and its neighbouring kingdoms. It was a joyous occasion. Just walking into the crowd of mixed people, one could feel the jovial waves being immited by the crowds which, in resault, would make one feel as such too.
Morgana walked aimlessly around the room, often finding someone to dicuss with. Morgana was a true social butterfly, she was always very kind and curdious, as well as likable. Though she knew that it was greatly rumoured that she was perhaps the more beautiful lady of the land, which caught many knights' attentions. She didn't like to think of herself in that way but she could not lie and say she did not enjoy their company.
Morgana turned around at the sound of a man. "I believe he have not. What is your name, noble knight?"

::vaughn:: Noble. Knight. Vaughn had to hold back a laugh. After all, there was nothing evidently funny about what she said. It was only amusing to him because such words could not be further from the truth of who he really was. Yes; he dressed like a knight and therefore was expected to be a man of nobility, but he was so far from your average knight. And the Lady Morgana would have yet to realize this. He still positioned himself, lowered in a bit of a bow as she turned to face him and he got a better look at her.
"Sir Vaughn, My Lady," he answered in a very polite voice. "And you must be the Lady Morgana. I have heard rumors of your beauty though they do not nearly do you justice, for you are far more radiant than any words could have the power to describe." He smiled as he gently kissed the top of her hand. He was trying to sound as charming as possible, wanting to get on her good side, for now. Who knows what could come of it, but as he was forced to be on his best behavior in such a public setting, why not make ties with the more interesting people, and those who held great power.

Sir Vaughn. The name certainly did not ring a bell and his face, slightly rugged, was not one she recalled coming across in the past. Morgana hardly turned red when she 'blushed' as other woman did as well. However she looked at the bowing knight as he spoke of the rumors of her beauty he heard tell of. She knew these rumors. She was definately not oblivious to them nor to what they were about. She was always rumores to be the greatest beauty around. The King of Camelot's Ward. The Lady Morgana. A rumored beauty everywhere, it seemed. As she listened to him go on about the ones he had heard did her no justice, and her free hand rested on her chest as he kissed her hand gently.
As he straitened up, Morgana took back her hand, letting it place itself by her side once more while the other hesitated a moment longer on her chest before lowering back to her side and her two hands meeting before her. "Thank you." She politely replied to his complements. "I am sorry I have not heard of you, Sir Vaughn." He was a very curious character and this intreeged her.

::vaughn:: Not many had. And this was how he managed to sneak in the castle, and be inconspicuous, drawing only the right amount of attention to himself. Too much would cause suspicion. Too little would make him blend into the background and therefore, prevent him from meeting the many nobles and royals. "No apology is necessary, My Lady," he told her as sincerely as he could. He did not often give his full name out and therefore, did not have to deal with people expressing their curiousity as to where he was really from. Her voice did not sound suspicious however and this was something that encouraged him to go on about it.
"My estate resides beyond Albion, and is not a popular place for those in this country, or kingdom even, to visit." Was his family's estate still existent? Did they still have control over their land? These were questions that would perhaps never be answered for Vaughn had no intention of returning to find out. He did not care enough to do so. If he had any concern for them, he would not have left when they were in the middle of war. "It is no great loss though as the beauty of Camelot certainly out does the beauty of my land." Compliments. That was what any person of nobility or royalty enjoyed hearing. The best way to suck up to a person was to compliment their home, and for the women, their appearance. That was the beginning. Then eventually one had to find more creative ways to gaining the favor of others. Vaughn was still in the preliminary process.
