Li was born of nobility in the capital of the Eastern Kingdom. He lived a life of luxury, to a degree. His father was part of a special force used to take down any who posed a threat to the kingdom’s stability. So it was only natural that Li and his brother would continue the family occupation.| ~ • ~ | Character Basics | ~ • ~ |
.:Name of Character:. Li Shi (Note: he goes by Shi Li so when he introduces himself formally he would call himself Shi, his surname, and when he’s with close company he would use his first name Li)
.:Nick Name:. None
.:Age:. 20
.:Status:. Noble from the East in hiding| ~ • ~ | Appearance | ~ • ~ |
.:Physical Appearance:.
Li is slightly tan with a slim build. He has dark brown eyes and black hair. However his hair color was changed when he left his home to a brownish color. He appearance when back home compared to now in Camelot has changed a lot to prevent any future problems with people recognizing him. He has also grown his hair longer as well. When he served the emperor as a noble he dressed accordingly to the palace dress code. However, now that he is in Camelot, His clothing style has drastically changed. For the most part, he dresses for comfort and utility reasons more then customs and tradition.
.:Height:. 5’10”
.:Portrayed by:. Wu Chun| ~ • ~ | Personality | ~ • ~ |
.:Personality:. Never to kill an innocent soul was Li’s vow when he became an assassin for the Emperor. This meant he isn’t the kind that would go out looking for trouble. He has two sides to him. His Noble self and his Cover self.
Back in the East he had much respect for his elders and superiors. His mission was his life. He gave respect to those that deserve it on his level or lower. He is also quite calm and patient. In fact, he was also used to mediate disputes from time to time when no one else was available in the Kingdom to resolve the issue. He also had an odd love for growing plants of multiple colors and uses. He mostly planted them for herbal remedies rather then looks though. Meditation is one of the other tasks he performs daily.
In Albion his personality has changed to a degree. He still meditates like he normally does back at home. But he doesn’t grow herbs like he did back at home. In fact, he doesn’t like have much love for the plants of Albion. (he was poisoned by one on the way to Camelot.) He doesn’t have as much respect for the authorities because, to him, they are not his superiors. He is also pretty outspoken with his ideas. This combination has made him quite the troublemaker from time to time. He is also more open to conversations then he was back at home.
To him, magic isn’t something that should be neither feared nor abused. Magic is a gift that shouldn’t be taken lightly. Because of Camelot’s current “predicament”, Li keeps his magic hidden. He would only use it when the situation is dire or if it is “time”. When it is “time”, Li would use all the magical skills he has obtained over the years to kill Uther.
.:Strengths:.
Weapon expert: Trained for assassination, majority of the weapons he can used are hidden and easily concealed weapons. The fact that most of his weapons are easily conceals giving the element of surprise is more then enough to overcome his opponent. Besides that, his weapons are not native to the land of Camelot, which also gives him an advantage. Years of assassinating rogue sorcerers and magical creatures have made him a tough combatant fight against. Most of the time he uses hidden weapons such as chain whips, Emeici, Iron Fans, or his wushu.
Shadow Arts: Li is an assassin after all. So chances are he is skilled in fighting in the dark. Using smoke bombs are among the other tools he uses to get the job done. Combining his magical abilities with his physical training, Li can be quite a powerful opponent in the dark. He is also quite stealth making him harder to find. Creating herbs to hide his scent are among the other tools he uses to his himself.
Well Educated: Being born of noble decent, Li’s family made sure they he was well educated. This allows him to think tactically during battle such as using his environment to his advantage.
Hidden hand to hand combat – Even though Li specializes in hand to hand combat back in the east, he rarely uses it in Albion. This is because he had created a style that suited him and his magical talents. When fighting hand to hand he combines his magic to create a more destructive force.
.:Weaknesses:.
Lack of “Manners”: Since the Eastern Kingdom rarely ever contacts Albion, Li has no knowledge of their customs. It is because of this that many people get suspicious of Li. He has be accused of using sorcerery a few times as well.
Hard Headed: When Li starts something, he will finish it guaranteed. Li never calls it quits for any cause no matter how dire the situation. This process of thought has gotten him in a lot of trouble in the past.
Lack of Trust: Ever since Li arrived, others have targeted him. His “mysterious” habits have cause many to think badly of him. So in return Li lacks any real trust for most of the people in Albion. For Li to give a person his first names is a rare site and a sign of trust.
.:Magic Abilities:.
Yin Yang Manipulation -Li, like his family, has the “rights” to learn and use magic. Li specializes in manipulate ying and yang, both negative and positive energies. This ability allows him to separate himself into his yin and yang counterparts, manipulate positive energy such as healing or defensive magical body enhancements, and negative energy such as offensive blasts of energy or offensive body enhancements. He is also able to block incoming magical attacks or disable a person from using magic though touch. If he chooses he can disable all magical abilities in the area for a short time. If he does this he himself cannot use his magical abilities either. Using this ability he can bend the positive and negative light that touches his eyes allowing him to see in the dark. Unlike the magic in Albion, Eastern Magic, or Li’s magic to be more specific, relies on body motion and stances. Hand movements and gestures are required to use spells unlike words. This gives him a disadvantage when he physically unable to perform such movements. For example, if he was tied, he cannot cast any forms of magic because he himself cannot mak the right body movemnts and gestures to cast it.
.:Special Skills:.
Tracking: Every assassin needs to know how to catch their targets if they are on the run. It was one of the man special skills he learned while training under his father’s guidance.
Fireworks: Smoke bombs are not the only item Li makes. He is also skilled in making fireworks. To help keep his cover, Li had spent a year learning the arts of firework making. He may be no true master at it. But, it makes no difference because fireworks aren’t native to the land of Albion anyway.
Bilingual: His ability to speak fluent English is what makes him a rare find considering the fact that not many people from the east come to Camelot or her neighboring countries.

Wu Shi (Brother)

.:Occupation:. Eastern Merchant actually undercover

.:History:.
As Li grew older he was taught how to assassinate certain targets. From time to time he would be called, along with his brother and father, to kill supernatural creatures especially those with magic affinity. Most common people in the land didn’t use magic. Nobles, hermits, and rogue witches and warlocks were the only people who learned how to use magic. Most of the common people in the land developed certain fighting styles to defend themselves if necessary. Unlike in Camelot where the old religion was dying, in the west, it was still standing strong. People were praised for their skill in the magical arts as well as their wisdom. Superstition and traditions are stronger then ever in the land. So what happens when a sorcerer or sorceress goes rogue? Well it would be Li and his family’s job to take care of it. Li’s family along with one other family was the only noble families who studied in anti-magic and magical assassination abilities.
Maybe that was why many of the other nobles were fearful of Li and his family Meeting with a family who is skilled in using anti-magical as well as assassination abilities was surely a bad omen for a Noble. Life was quite well for Li’s family. The occasional orders were sent but nothing big. That is until the Emperor asked him for a special mission. Unlike Li’s brother who was cold blooded when it came to his missions, Li was actually soft. He analyzed the situation and protected the innocent even against orders. The Emperor soon took notice of this, which is why he assigned Li a very special assignment. Until now, the Eastern Kingdom kept its distance from Camelot. The Eastern Kingdom didn’t approve of what Uther was doing and noticed that if they weren’t to careful, Uther may come matching to the Imperial Kingdoms doorstep in an attempt to rid the wold completely of magic. That was why the Emperor assigns Li to travel to Albion undercover as a merchant from the Eastern Kingdom to find out if their suspicions were true. If they were then Li would give the Emperor an earlier warning to prepare. Also, if possible, assassinate Uther and any other kings who even think of fighting the Imperial Kingdom.
The reason why the Emperor chose Li and not his brother was a mystery to him. His brother seemed to be more likely candidate. But it wasn’t Li’s place to question his master’s orders. So Li set out as a merchant going to Camelot in order to make a profit selling fireworks of all things. His family felt honored for him to take on a task but at the same time sad for this assignment might last a lifetime and he may never see any of them ever again.
So he left his homeland to venture into unknown territory of Albion. His destination… Camelot.
