Born right be for the onset of harvest, Greg was born during one of the busiest time of the year for the citizens of Camelot. But with all that hustle and bustle, he was a happy child. He was born to a brewer named William. Being the oldest of the brewer's children, he was always expected to take on his father's business. But he, as all young boys do, dreamed of being a knight. He had met another young boy, around his age, who also shared his dream. His name was Alren. They where fast friends, who often played together in the woods, where close like brothers.
Alren's father, Fredrick was a magician. Though a relatively weak magician, Fredrick still made a living by selling little magical trinket's and such. Because at the time magic was allowed in the kingdom, he made a happy little living. It was discovered, overtime that Alren had his father's talent in him. Greg at the time was thrilled, though a little nervous and yes jealous, of his best friend latent gift. But over time, they got passed the rivalries, and formed a friendship that was thought to last for a lifetime
But unfortunately, that was not meant to happen. During Alren's and Greg's 15th summer, a dark and terrible event, aptly named, The Great Purge happened. It was a time when magic users where round up and systematically executed. Alren was one of the many young men, and women who where killed during the King's Witchhunt. Unfortunately Greg was forced to watch his best friend was killed.
After these events, Greg has had a smoldering distrust for the king, and his actions. His mother didn't survive much longer after the Great Purge, the stress of watching a family that she had know for a long time executed was to much for her and she died when a flu went through.
Greg withdrew from his family, becoming sullen and dark. He was eventually able to come out of his shell when he met Lynda, his wife to be. Though he has never returned to that same person he was before Alren died.
Greg eventually moved out to Willowshire, to help his father-in-law run the Inn he had there. He eventually took it over, and has ran it ever sense, even though having to rebuild it once after a particularly nasty storm blew a large tree into it.
During Greg's 25th summer, his father and youngest brother, Richard, was killed by bandits. But life moved on for Greg, his brother Kael who runs both his father's shop and an Inn in Camelot. Greg has lived the better part of his life in Willowshire, nearly 15 years. And he doesn't plan to move anytime soon. He runs the Dancing Pony there, along side his Wife, Lynda.
