.:Name of Character:. Gwaine Lothian .:Nick Name:. None...other than the pretty nasty ones he gets from the debters... .:Age:. 24 .:Status:. Nobility/Nomad
| ~ • ~ | Appearance | ~ • ~ |
.:Physical Appearance:. Gwaine is quite fit; yet this comes as no surprise since he is always on the go. He has brown hair that falls about mid to lower neck and waves slightly. He has tanned skin from roaming and working around outside which goes well with his eyes that are a marbled light brown and though his face seems young, one can tell that his soul and/or heart is so much older than he. He tries to cover this up with a wide, bright, happy grin and most of the time it works. He wears a necklace with a silver pendent and a gold ring around his neck that many ponder at. Only the ones who truly care or have known him longer can see that there is something behind a pretense.
.:Height:. 5'11” .:Portrayed by:. Eoin Macken
| ~ • ~ | Personality | ~ • ~ |
.:Personality:. At first meeting and sometimes as long as one knows him, Gwaine seems like a happy contented soul, which he is, but there is also more to him. He loves to flirt with the girls and also outwit the oafs who try to mess with him. He loves a good laugh and though it may not seem like it at first, he is a very humble man. He does have a temper, but that doesn't come out unless annoyed to the brink of annoyance. To someone who doesn't know Gwaine is of Noble birth, he seems to have all the makings of a chivalrous knight. He is loyal, brave and cunning. He enjoys freedom and when actually caught he does not take well to the dungeons. Unfortunately he is a bit rash and though he can be a great thinker, he sometimes can act to quickly.
.:Strengths:. Sword, crossbow, mace, horse riding, loyalty to a friend, strategic thinking, hand to hand combat, courage... .:Weaknesses:. Thoughts of the past, seeing women hurt, ale, lance skills, a warm meal, ale, he came sometimes be a loner... .:Magic Abilities:. NONE .:Special Skills:. Gwaine is a great swordsman, he is also a very logical, strategic, and quick thinker...though he is sometimes lazy with this. He is also very charming. .:Accents:. General English...though a few other British accents mixed in...

.:Birthplace:. Lothian. .:Family:. Father-Lord Loth of Lothian, Nephew of the King Lot Mother-Lady Anna of Lothian Wife-Lady Corinne (deseased after almost 1 year of marriage) Sister-(26) Jacqueline Sister-(21) Rowena Brother-(15)Dryden .:Occupation:. Nomad/Odd Jobs .:Current Location of Residence:. Camelot .:History:. Gwaine was born to Lord and Lady Loth in the early summer months. He was the second child and first son born to them and they were more than ecstatic, after all, he was the heir to the title. Growing up he showed great strength and mind as he began his training for knighthood. He loved playing around with his sisters when they were young and reveled in protecting them against admirers as they both grew. He was spoken highly of by his tutors and loved to make trouble with his friends by setting things on fire, scaring farm animals, knocking on random doors at the Castle; acting like regular boys. His younger brother was born when Gwaine was eight and though he loved his brother, he didn't enjoy having him follow him around as he trained or hung out with his friends.
When he was eighteen he was more than ready to become a knight. As he knelt with all of his friends beside him he could not help but smile at the honour of such a title. He would be able to defend the country he loved and make proud the parents he was born to. He would be Sir Gwaine, Knight of Loth!
After this great moment in his life, another followed close behind. He had not been a knight but for almost two years when he met what was to him the most beautiful woman in creation, Corinne. When Gwaine was 21 his family held a massive wedding for him and his Bride and they were happier each and every new day they spent together.
However, one day, into almost one year of marriage, Gwaine came home, he was not greeted by his wife as usual. No, he found her lying at the bottom of the stairs with no sign of injury on her...just dead.
Going temporarily insane at the shock of this he just lay down beside her in tears, sometimes banging his head and yelling. Thankfully, in a way, his mother-in-law came for a visit and found them. Gwaine was led out of the house... Not long after the funeral was held and as it ended Gwaine only stood staring solemnly at Corinne's still body his gaze was interrupted by yells and harsh accusations made by his wife's family that Gwaine was the murderer. The loud and pitiful cries of denial that the young Knight made, made no difference. He was thrown violently into the dungeons in chains and shunned by all who he had looked up to in the Noble class...including his father.
Gwaine was brought before the King, his Great Uncle, and sentenced to a lowly murderer's death. He did not care though. The faster he could escape the tortuous life he had fallen into, the better. But this didn't come to pass; Gwaine's best friend and fellow Knight drugged him, unbeknownst to Gwaine, and paying off the guards, told them to mark it down as a suicide and had him carried out. The next morning Gwaine found himself in an Inn a days ride away from his home and very groggy.
Though he was angry at this, he didn't know who had done it, and he figured that if he had to live, that he would disown his family and Nobility and though he would not admit this to himself, run away from what his "former life" had held for him. In order never to truly forget his wife, former life, and what his acquaintances did to him, he wears his wife's gold wedding ring next to a silver pendent on a necklace around his neck. He became and Nomad and has not revealed his true past to anyone, not even "friends".
