Important news had reached the castle, and quite frankly, Arthur was glad he had heard it before his father. His father was still recovering from Morgana's rule -- a concept that Arthur was still finding difficult to fully grasp and comprehend -- and so he took over several of the duties required of a leader, without formally taking the role of acting king . . . yet. He was not even sure that he would, but for the time being , it seemed necessary of him and Camelot was in great need of serious reparations. The last thing they needed was another war breaking out, which only re-enforced Arthur's relief that he had been the first to hear of just who was traveling through the city.
Princess Sable Loughlin of Sorrayn. She was King Odin's daughter and already, there was a great deal of tension between the two kingdoms. Arthur was not sure what his father would do if his discovered that the daughter of the man who sent an assassin to kill his own son because he had murdered his . . . was in Camelot. Nor did he want to find out. It was why he had called for Sir Leon and told him to ride out with a few knights to ensure safe passage for the princess. Arthur did not want any danger to befall her while in Camelot for it may give Odin just what he needs to declare war. He was already testing their defenses . . . he was waiting for that one thing that would push him over the edge. Arthur could not afford to put Camelot in such a state for it was still recovering from its war with Cenred . . . and magic.
He sent Sir Leon because he knew exactly what would need to be done; he knew how to address royalty. Arthur held a very high respect for the other knights, but none of them were used to being knights . . . they lacked the experience that only time would give, and so he decided to send his second in command to lead a small group of general knights to make sure she was safe.

Sable more then strongly disapproved of her father's plan. He was sneaking an alliance with a kingdom bordering Camelot's south (as they bordered it from the north) in hopes of starting a campaign to surround the kingdom. He was sending there with some knights and nobles to begin 'talks'. Sable knew the truth however, her father want a marriage bond to make the deal have an official ring to it. Sable was less impressed with that part of the plan then her father was.
---->Allot.
Especially the part where the knights and nobles dressed down to travel though the Camelot woods in effort to save weeks out of their travel. To her it felt dangerous and sure enough it proved to be true! They were days from either boarder, when the first battle cry sounded. Her horse reacted before she could as the shock of being her in first attack made everything seem distant from her--as if it was not happening to her but another and she was forced to watch. The horse turned so she could not see the first signs of a fight, leaving her sitting there trying to turn and see. Sable could only hear as orders were given to form a line, and stay tight together.
As she was of highest rank, the men closed around her in efforts to protect her. One of them reached up to drag her down as she was still looking around her at the men from the woods rushing up on them! They were dressed poorly leaving her to wonder if they were thieves, or outlaws! One of the women traveling with her started pulling off her cloak, and trying to trade with her . . . .trade? Oh!
That was when the shock wore off, and everything came louder, faster and more real. Apparently Camelot was not safe for anyone with her bloodline! "Stop!" She demanded of the woman, not about to let someone take her place! "Captain!" She turned to yell something at him, but he was not paying an attention to her only pulling an arrow out and taking aim. And the bandits were doing the same!
She turned to duck behind a tree as arrows started to fly! She knew nothing of warfare and fighting! Sable bent down and did her best to hide between the bushes and the tree, as the men started to fight hand to hand. There she would wait until it was over . . .

Leon had been doing his normal everyday duties when a guard had told him he had been requested in the Prince’s chambers. When he had gotten to Arthur and talked with him, Leon understood what needed to be done and he would make sure that the guest that was coming to Camelot would make it safely, because after the what had happened, who knew what or who was hiding in those forests, as no one had seen Morgana after the attacked and no one knew if she was out there somewhere plotting to take over again, no one knew. He nodded and headed out of Arthur’s chambers and to his own.
He put on his belt and made sure that his sword was at his side. He threw on his red cape bearing the arms of Camelot, the yellow dragon on each side. Clearly showing that he was a knight of Camelot. Not always was Leon seen with his cape on. Since he was a high knight there were times where he just wore a plain brown tunic over his chain mail, or just chain mail. It was the more important times what Leon wore his red cape.
But as they were clearly meeting a party of guest of Camelot, he was dressed in his formal wear, the red cape. He headed out of his chambers and down the steps of the main courtyard. He nodded to the fellow knights at were coming along with him. They headed to the stables, and Leon jumped up onto his horses, when all the knights were ready, he turned his horse and rode off out of the castle gates. The forest was allitle ways from the main castle. So it took some time to get there, but the knights were swift and fast on there horses.
When Leon heard the sounds of fighting, he feared the worse, just as he had thought; you never knew what was in the forest and more so after the huge attack that had gone on during Morgana’s rule. He nodded and kicked his horse to go faster, he hoped that the princess that was with the group was safe, because she was a guest of Camelot and they needed to get to the scene before it was too let.
It didn’t’ take them long to arrive at the scene of the fight. Leon had been right, bandits. He could see many men dead on both side. He jumped off his horse and drawed his sword, fighting the close bandit he could as the other knights got from the horses and attacked the other. Once they had gotten to the battle, there was not much time before some of the bandits run away and the other were died. Leon pulled his sword back into its hilt and looked around, “Check for the wounded and the dead”, he told one knights and then he turned to a few other, “Find the Princess and make sure she’s alright”. They nodded and headed off, for Leon couldn’t see her anywhere, he run a hand through his hair, Arthur would have his head if any harm was brought to their guest.
