The days that followed after Morgana’s rule was finally over and the King was free had been very stressful for the high knight. As Arthur was busy taking care of his father and things within the Kingdom and the castle, he had sent Leon to deal with things outside the castle. He made trips to the different kingdom to let them know that things were will, as word had reached the other kingdoms walls that Camelot was un attacked. After he was done that he had to make sure that all the villages were safe, everyone was happy, nothing more damage had been done. And then it was onto the search for Morgana, this time they weren’t searching for her rescue, they were searching to see if she was anywhere left after the attack, as no one had seen here after the stormed the castle.
To say Leon had been busy for weeks was an understatement, he hadn’t been back to Camelot in over two weeks has he had been running around. He was finished up with all the dealings with the other Kingdoms and villages, and it was time to head back to Camelot, to report back to Arthur, see how the King was doing, maybe rest for a day or too before the patrols would need to be set up to watch out for any sign of Morgana. He knew the days to follow would be better then they had before everything. As he rode with only a few knights as Arthur would have not let him go alone when dealing with all these things.
As they rode he thought about what had happen in the last few weeks. Morgana had taken control of Camelot, as she was in fact a Pendragon, not a true on in his heart. She had tried to force him and he knights into serving her, she had killed in people to get her ways. Gwen had broken him out of his cell and out of Camelot. They had met up with Arthur and the others. They had formed there little band of men, and they had rode out to face their death, well that’s what they thought when they first thought about it. I mean they were going to fight a huge army of immortal soldiers that couldn’t be killed.
But some how they had made it out alive and now everything was back to normal. Camelot was still a few days ride and he knew the men were growing tried. As they rode by a village they came to a tavern with an inn. They could stop and rest for the night, or maybe a few before heading back to the castle, it would give Leon time to rest, which he never got, in else Arthur forced him too.
He dismounted from his horse and the other knights did the same. They gave horses to the local stable hand and then headed to the Inn. Leon smiled as he took in the light from the tavern, he hadn’t been in a pub for sometime, he couldn’t’ even remember the last time he had sat down to have a drink with the men down at the Rising Sun. He paid for a few nights stay and him and the other knights sat down at one of the tables. He smiled and one of the knights waved over someone to serve them drinks. Leon let of a small sign as he leaned back and took off his red cape, finally he could relax.

This was always the most boring time of day for Romily. For a start it would be when Eldon would insist on taking a 'cat nap', which in his world was until closing time. His daughter would always be somewhere else leaving Romily in charge. Sometimes she wondered whether it was just her running the inn. Eldon was growing old though and she knew he couldn't do all the work by himself. So she was left to her own devices. The cooking, cleaning, serving. Not that she minded, but she'd like it if once in a while his daughter would help her out instead of just flirting with every stranger in a ten mile radius. Today she wasn't around. She'd gone to the village to collect some material for a new dress she was making for her 'sweeheart'. Romily didn't know exactly which one this was, as Eldon's daughter seemed to have a new one every week.
Eldon had decided to take an earlier 'cat nap' than usual, which Romily thanked herself for over and over again. Finally she could at least clean up the place and start lunch, which included making Eldon's too (this tended to be uneaten or was eaten cold at least six or several hours later). She was so busy behind the bar that she had no time to notice the group of men come in until Eldon (who had come down for a drink before returning) noted this to her
"Romily, you do realise these men have been standing here for the past minute?" He rolled his eyes so as they could see and served them instead. How could she have seen them anyway? for a start she was on her hands and knees putting some tankards onto shelves and scrubbing some spilt ale off of the floor."They want some rooms for the evening. I'll make them up, you stay down here and serve them" he told her
Finally, once Eldon had disappeared upstairs she stood up and noted the group of men at one of the tables. Knights so they seemed to be, as they bore the crest of a kingdom that Romily vaguely recognised. One of them was looking rather relaxed - as though he hadn't rested for weeks on end. Rest? Romily didn't know the meaning of the word, but wiped her hands on her dress and made her way over to them silently. Romily didn't go down very well with knights. From past experiances anyway. Frederick had been one and seemed to have given them a bad name in her mind. She prayed that these men were different, and that old wounds wouldn't resurface.
"Can i get you anything gentleman?" she asked quietly. Why had her tone been different then than the one she'd planned in her mind? This was not going to go well.

There was no time for relaxing in times like this. The aftermath of what had happened under Morgana’s rule was well, let’s just say there were a lot of things to clean up before things went back to running normal. The King was still recovering from all of this, so it had left Arthur with the duties of fixing up the castle and the Kingdom. Well he was back in Camelot doing that. Leon and some of the other knights were out checking on the outline villages, traveling to other kingdom, speaking with the kings letting them know that everything was all right and that everything would be back to normal in due time. He also told them that any sign of Morgana, then to let Camelot know. As the knight knew as soon as he was done doing all this stuff outside the main part of Camelot, the King would be sending him back out to look for Morgana and anyone that had been working with her.
It was really a wonder that the knight just hadn’t fallen over from being on his feet all the time. Leon himself didn’t even know how sometimes he just kept going and going. Even if he was wounded he would still be going, the poor man didn’t know when to stop. But this work had been all he had ever known and there wasn’t anything else in his life right now to stop him from doing his job. You had to kept up and he was always proving himself both to the King and the prince that he could get the job done, even if some nights when he finally got to sleep he was pass out. He knew he was still in pretty good shape, but he didn’t know how much more he could handle, he could start to feel himself get tired more quick then he use too. Camelot was not a quiet Kingdom, there wasn’t a time when there wasn’t something going on.
It not like they didn’t have some young and fresh knight to take his place as second in command of the knights. He could be replaced, he was a pawn that could be used and replaced whenever needed, even if he knew others didn’t feel that way about the knight, this is what Leon felt in his heart. His life was worth nothing, if he were to die in battle then so be it, as along as the King and prince were safe from harm, he would give his life up anytime if it was a choice between his or the prince or the King. Dealing with the outline villages and the other kingdom had taken some time and well Leon knew that Arthur could handle things back in Camelot, but Leon wanted to get back there was soon as he could. As soon as they had finished up at the last castle, Leon had told the knights that they would find somewhere to rest. Well they keep riding for a few days, not really finding somewhere to stay the night and have a drink because gods know they all needed one. Till they finally find a nice little place to stop for the night.
When they had went in there had only been one person who Leon had told they needed a room, but as the entered more, there was no one else around from what he could see. He stood there for a few moment before heading over to a table and sitting down. They could wait a few more moments before calling out to see if anyone was around. He knew that whoever was here might just be busying in the back or something. For the first time in a long time, Leon put up his feet, and boy let me tell you it felt nice. The other knights at the table also like the idea of relaxing after everything that had happened in the last few weeks. Leon took off his cape and laid it next to him, when he noticed a women coming towards them. He guessed she must be the barmaid that would be serving them. When she came closer the knights at the table smiled and Leon turned and smiled himself, “Yes, a round of mead for me and my fellow knights, please”. He said it a gentle and soft tone, he knew that some people were not so trusting of knights, and more so when they were knights from Camelot, but no matter where Leon was, he was always the seem to everyone he met.

The knight who Romily had seen looking relaxed was now giving her a smile. “Yes, a round of mead for me and my fellow knights, please”.
She nodded and headed off to the bar to get them their orders. As she was filling the tankards to take over, Eldon came up next to her and was watching the knights who was busily chatting away.
“Knights of Camelot they are” he commented, “I’d watch yourself Millie – people round here won’t take too kindly to them being here, even if it is only for the night.” Romily looked up and over at the table, “I know – I’ve had run ins with their kind before. Still – you have a business to run” she told him.
“I know – which is why we need to watch our backs.” Eldon told her, noticing Romily not taking her eyes off of the group. “They have their own rules, you go against them and you could end up in serious trouble. Keep your head down and be courteous”
Courteous? Pah! Eldon didn’t know of the word. Romily knew how to act around the status of nobility – Eldon didn’t. He’d be surprised if he ever found out that she used to be just like those people.
“You know I wouldn’t do anything to offend them”
Eldon looked around at the newly seated customers who were turning and whispering every so often. Not many people around here trusted new arrivals and it has taken a long time for them to accept Romily when she’d first arrived by herself. “Take their drinks over” he told her, “and tell them that their rooms are ready when they are. You can show them where they’ll be”. With that he disappeared again.
Romily grabbed the tankards and took them over to the group, setting them down on the table without a word. She didn’t know whether she should ask if they wanted anything else, after all Eldon had told her to watch her back. She decided to ask, even if the customers would find that it was something to talk about.
“Is there anything else I can get you?” Before any of them could answer, she lowered her voice, “I should warn you gentleman, people around here are not used to newcomers – even if they are of higher rank. Do nothing to provoke them, even though im sure you won’t – and they shall do nothing of the same.”
She smiled and turned to walk away before turning back again. “Also, the landlord told me to tell you that your rooms are ready when you are. I’ll show you to them

Know that he thought about it, he should have changed his cloths and told the knights to change their cloths as well. Leon knew every well what trouble it could bring to not only them but this pub by sitting here, putting a huge target on them buy showing up and being well knight of Camelot, not many people liked them, and he knew this. He knew that most of the time they would wearing normal commander cloths and try to blend in with the others and use different names and not even use the word knight or sir or anything that could make them think you were part of Camelot. But Leon had been so tried, and he could see the journey had left the other knights just as tried. He watched the young miss leave to get there drinks and he could tell they were not being a good feeling to the pub. They only planned on staying a night, well at least the other knights, Leon would send them back off to Camelot in the morning but he had to stay here a few more days because he had a few matters he needed to get done before going back to the castle and giving Arthur his report.
He would try and see if anyone around here had seen Morgana, as that was something else that would be added onto the list of the many things the knight would have to do when he got back to Camelot. This would be the real first time he had rested, and it would be the late he was sure of that because he knew once he got back things would get crazy. So he wanted to spend as much time as he could rest. But if the inn owner did not want him around longer he would go find another Inn or he would make a well make shift camp in the forest and hope to make it the next few days. If things got to out of hand, him and the other knights would change, or they would drink there drinks, pay sleep for a few hours and leave, Leon would always come back later and looked around for any signs of Morgana he didn’t want to bring trouble to these people.
He knew they were looking over at them, and he knew that others were looking at them as well. When people saw knight, they think tough noble men who don’t’ care about the people only there titles and lands and money. But that’s where Leon was different and he knew many of the knights around his table were the same. Leon didn’t care about titles or money, or land, he cared about the people, he would do anything for anything no matter who they were, he was just that type of person he was that type of knight and he hoped that he could teach this to the new knights.
He looked back up when he heard the young women coming back with their drinks. When the drinks hit the table all the knights around it took a glass and they all started to talk and drink having a good time after all the hell they had been through the last few weeks. Leon frowned and nodded his head, “I am sorry if we have brought any trouble to the Inn miss, we will do your best to be out of your way as soon as we can”. Leon hated the fact that people just view them as one way, but then again he couldn’t blame them, growing up to believe in one thing and now know another, he understood it. “I promise not to bother you with anything more miss”. It was a promise he would keep, they would just have to finish something else to eat he didn’t want to worry this inn keepers or anything else. He didn’t want to cause any more trouble then they already had. He smiled and nodded his head taking a drink from his glass, “Thank you. I’ll let you know when were ready”. He said sighing and turned back to the group well all the other knights were taking among themselves Leon just get back to his thoughts and staring down at his half drank glass.

“I am sorry if we have brought any trouble to the Inn miss, we will do your best to be out of your way as soon as we can”.
The tired looking Knight smiled at her. It didn’t seem as though they’d come here for any trouble. Romily would’ve known if they had from the moment they’d set foot in the inn. She shook her head. “You have brought nothing of the sort, but I thought that I would give you a heads up – should trouble actually come your way”. She highly doubted that the locals would make a fuss, if anything they’d stare and then gossip. Well the women would anyway; most of these knights were handsome fellows.
They all looked just as tried as the knight who was speaking to her was. Romily turned back to them. “Would you gentleman like anything to eat? If you don’t mind me saying, you all look rather hungry to me”. She was more than happy to whip up some of her stew for them, perhaps this group were not the stereotypes that she’d put them down to be. The man who she was currently speaking with was most certainly not. If anything, he seemed to appear to be trying to keep a low profile, but then again who was she to read emotions and body language correctly.
“Made fresh,” she grinned as she tried to tempt them. With a good dinner at least they’d have a good night’s sleep.

They were always told to keep who they were a secret. Many of the smaller villages didn’t like knight roaming around or knights in general. Leon and his close group of knights were not like some of the knights that Leon had met over the years he had been one himself. So when they had come across this one, he would have changed out of his colours and put on something simple but they were so tried from riding all over the place, between visiting the kingdoms, the other villages and looking Morgana all they need was a good drink, some food and a nice bed to sleep in because after awhile a ground wasn’t so nice to sleep on. He didn’t want to cause any trouble, Leon wasn’t the type of person to do that, he was the type to help people who were in trouble, not cause it. “I am glad to hear such things, thank you miss, for the warning”. If any trouble did come to this Inn, Leon and the other knights would do their best to fix it and deal with it, and then Leon would pay them for anything that had happened to the Inn. Not that it might happen but the knights and Leon were ready for anything that might happen in the Inn.
The other knights at the table smiled at the women and nodded there head, because they had been just was worried as there second in command. Leon was pretty hungry himself and he knew that the others were hungry just has much as he was. The women didn’t seem to mind making them something and Leon didn’t know, he didn’t want her to do something special just for them, they could have went and got there own food.
“Oh come on Sir Leon, I swear if I don’t eat something soon, I’ll start eating Sir Edric’s arm”.
“You shall not do such a thing boy, look Leon the boys are hungry, were have been traveling for six days now, we hadn’t stopped and that hasn’t been any sign of her, so let them enjoy a nice hot meal and a good sleep before they leave in the morning for Camelot”
Leon thought about it for second. Everything Edric was saying was true. They had been traveling on stop for many days now, they hadn’t seen Morgana and he knew that they men were getting tried and hungry and just wanted to enjoy things before they went back to the castle in the morning to deal with things there. He smiled and turned back to the women, “If it’s alright with you miss, we’ll take you up on that offer”. He just wanted to drink have a good meal a nice sleep, send the other knights back to Camelot in the morning to report to Arthur while he stayed behind a few days to see if there was any sign of Morgana.
