Guinevère was born to Tom and his wife as their 2nd child in their marriage. Guinevère did not get to know her mother well, for she died very early on in her life. After her death, her father moved his family to the larger city of Camelot where he could find more work as a blacksmith. Raised by her father and brother, Guinevère grew into a happy child. She was well loved by the only two men in her life, and learned from them about kindness to others and always doing what is right.
At the age of ten, her mother's beloved former employers helped her get a job int he Castle as a maid. Her job was to help dust the Castle everywhere, everyday. She became every well known around the castle, for she was eager friendly and respectful. Gwen always wore flowers in her hair, and a smile on her face. This could be what ended up getting her the job that would change the course of her life.
The Handmaiden, Gwen
When the king inherited a ward, Sir Leon's family must have suggested her be turned into a handmaiden for the Lady Morgana who was only a year younger. Gwen got the highly sought after job, and soon the girls became best friends. While there was always a level of mistress and servant between them, there was a larger friendship there. Gwen loved going to work everyday to be with a friend, and sought to be the best she could be for her lady.
Elyan would find him self always leaving and 'following' his heart from one city to the next. He would always find himself a bit in over his head, but with the help of their father and Gwen he would land safely on his feet. He would be gone longer and longer until they would just stop hearing from him all together. Gwen feared every day that her brother would be dead.
When Merlin came to Camelot, Gwen was quick to befriend him and even devolved a bit of a crush on him. She would keep that crush right up until Merlin would almost die, and she would kiss him. In that kiss she would know everything she needed to know about her relationship with Merlin. She would love Merlin until the day she died, but it would be the way way she would love her brother.
With her blood brother gone, Merlin filled the hole in her life perfectly. When she was falsely arrested as a witch who was killing the citizen's of Camelot; Merlin would prove to be her champion that she needed. He would believe in her innocence and fight to convince others of that. Pulling Morgana and the prince into helping him save her.
The next big change in her life would come on the tail of her kiss with Merlin. His name would be Lancelot. He would be something like she had never meet before. Charming, kind, loyal, and noble. Everything a girl could grow to love in a man. She helped him attempt to fool the king into thinking he was a noble of Camelot. However, when he was exposed and he left the kingdom whatever feelings she had started to grow for him were placed on hold. She knew she would never see him again, but she would forever think back to him.
On the tail end of that same year she would be faced with the greatest loss a daughter could feel. The loss of a father. He would be arrested for consorting with a known sorcerer, and executed for a crime he did not comment. It would break her heart in ways that would never heal. Everyone would forever think of her father as an evil man when she knew in her heart that he was not!
Gwenevere & The Forbidden
With her father's death, her brother missing, and Lancelot gone never to return; Guinevère started her year with her head held high but her spirits down. Everything would change for her this year, for the largest change in her life would hit. The prince of Camelot would spend three days living with her in her father's home, and the feelings she either developed or realized she had during these days would define the rest of her life; even if she did not know it yet.
She would fall in love with Arthur, the man; and have to hide it for he was also Arthur the prince.
Torn In Two
Shortly after her feelings for Arthur began, two very frightening events would happen. The first, her mistress Morgana would be kidnapped by Druids. It would be odd, for they were very peaceful people; but the Prince would bring her home. Guinevère would never doubt that he would not.
The other event would be when another group of ruffians attempted an kidnap of Morgana. Guinevère would stay to slow them, in efforts to let Morgana get away. They would force her to dawn Morgana's dress and pretend to be her. There she would find Lancelot, and rediscover a love she never thought possible. The freedom to be her self, and the passion she felt in his arms would give her hope when she had none. He would attempt to break her free, and told he he would slow them down and she should run. It had broken her to leave him, and only fear and made her run.
It however, was a foiled plan. For Guinevère was not faster then the men chasing her. She would find her self bound to Lancelot, as they wait to die, knowing that she had failed him. Knowing that if he had not tried to help her he would be safe. They were lucky, for Arthur would come for her.
Like a white knight in all the tales in all the lands; Arthur appeared just in time, scaled the wall and jumped between her and danger. Even with Arthur having come all this way, she could not tear her heart from Lancelot's side. She was love, and wanted to be with him. She knew it was cold of her, to openly pick one man before the other; but nothing could ever become of her feelings for Arthur.
Lancelot however, would have other ideas. She would awake to find him gone. She would be left broken hearted and feeling very alone. It would take her a long time to understand how he could have left her, if he loved her.
The pull she still felt from the prince, made her even more afraid what another break break looming ahead. It was with this in mind, that she held back and tried not to allow herself to grow too close.
Love Spell
The five kingdoms of Albion would come together, and it would be during this time that Guinevère's feeling became clear, for the prince. Until this point she had felt slightly torn. Yet one night, she came home to a letter from Arthur, declaring his love and
