.:Personality:.
Morgana is highly complex character. An enigma wrapped in a mystery, and seemingly full of contradictions. However, she is wrestling with a lot of problems, and struggling to adjust to a lot of sudden changes in her life, abilities, and status.
She is not a typical, capricious or whimsical noble born woman. She mixes well with contemporaries of all classes, as seen through her close bond with Guinevère, the Chamber Maid. She genuinely cares for those in need of protection, and is not afraid to take grave risks in saving those people.
However, since falling under the influence of her half-sister, Morgause, Morgana has shown a much darker side. She can be deceitful, duplicitous, and highly conniving. She has made rash attempts to assassinate her biological father, half-brother, Arthur Pendragon, and former friend Guinevère; where once she would have given her life to save them.
In her haste to usurp the order of Camelot, Morgana cannot see that she is doing as much harm as good to her own cause. Thus, she is strong willed, obstinate, and incredibly stubborn.
.:Strengths:.
Her powers and ââ¬Åsightââ¬Â. They grow stronger by the day.
Charisma. She is a highly charismatic woman, and can draw people to her through the strength of her personality.
Wit. Her sharp wit have gotten her through some dangerous times, not just under the care of Uther, but externally, too.
Survival instincts. Morgana is nothing, if not a survivor.
Her intimate knowledge of her enemies, and of Camelot are also a key strength in her struggle.
Bravery. Not only to hide her magical powers form Uther, in the face of the threat of execution, but in her adventures around Camelot. Morgana has proven herself to have all of Arthur's courage on a consistent basis.
Morgana is a superb horsewoman. She loves to ride, and indulges her passion as often as she can.
Determination. When Morgana sets her heart on something, she will try, and try again to achieve her ends.
.:Weaknesses:.
Rashness. Often, Morgana will act with haste and rashness that dooms her endeavours to failure.
Anger. Morgana has inherited every part of Uther's mercurial temper, and often leads her into difficulties. She is a-like to Uther, as she is the antithesis of him. Although, she will never admit that!
Her special powers could also been seen as a weakness. She was over-reliant on them, before she had fully mastered them. Also, She was drawn all too quickly to the darker side of magic.
Paranoia. Morgana, like Uther, sees shadows within shadows. She suspects everyone, while the real culprits usually get away; and it is a vulnerability.
Bad decision maker. Often, Morgana will make terrible decisions, and often in the heat of the moment.
Pride. Morgana will never admit that she is wrong. A strong stubborn streak, just like Uther's, meaning that she will try to have her way, whatever the consequences are for others.

.:History:.
Morgana was born, or so she thought, as the daughter of Vivienne and Gorlois of Cornwall. However, at the time of her conception, Gorlois was off fighting in the Northern regions, and her real father was Uther Pendragon, King of Camelot. The lie was maintained until Morgana was well into adulthood.
When Morgana was about eleven years old, the man she believed to be her father was killed in battle, fighting for King Uther (who had failed to send Gorlois' army any reinforcements). Both Uther himself, as well as Morgana, always blamed Pendragon for the death of Gorlois. In recompense for the death of her father, Morgana's wardship was bought by Uther, and she came to live at Court in Camelot.
Despite the depth of her grief, and the upheaval in her life, Morgana soon settled into life at Court. She developed a close, personal friendship with her maid, Guinevère, and successfully established herself as a prominent figure in the everyday life of Camelot. However, being a headstrong, and outspoken girl, Morgana found herself at loggerheads with Uther on several occasions. Although fond of Prince Arthur, there was also a strong streak of rivalry there, too.
Throughout the first decade of her life at Camelot, Morgana appeared to build a new life for herself there. With the appearance of Merlin at Court, he, Arthur, Morgana, and Guinevère made quite a formidable, and tightly bonded team. They were all friends, before anything else, and often united to put right the wrongs committed by Uther Pendragon, and defend the people of Camelot.
However, cracks appeared beneath the surface as vivid nightmares took hold of her, and it became apparent that she had magical powers. Morgana had always opposed Uther's purges, but now that she had discovered her own powers, the odds became higher, and she became increasingly more isolated. In fear of her life, and boxed into a tight corner with no one to speak to, she took matters into her own hands. She ran to the Druids for help, who helped her to be at ease with her powers and abilities. However, she was forced to return to Camelot, to the care of Uther; further ostracising herself from her own kind.
It was not until Morgause entered Morgana's life, that Morgana truly had someone she could confide in, and who understood her. However, once under the influence of Morgause, Morgana was quickly tuned into the much darker side of magic. Her character and personality changed almost over night. She abandoned her friends, and her family in Camelot, to pursue her own ambitions of returning the Kingdom back to the Old Religion, but with the darker elements taking precedence over the good (as espoused by Merlin).
In Morgana's mind, the only way to fight fire, is with more fire. And that is what she has ended up doing.
