.:Name of Character:. Gael .:Nick Name:. None .:Age:. 26 .:Race:. Caledonian .:Status:. Nomad
| ~ • ~ | Appearance | ~ • ~ |
.:Physical Appearance:. Gael tends to tower over people of Albion, while probably not the tallest person that they have seen, he is quite up there. He is rather broad as well in the shoulders, along with defined muscle volume from being constantly active on the highlands as well as from his travels down to the land of Albion from beyond its territories. His body is also marred by light scars, a notable one being three lines right on his chest where his heart would be, and another on the side of his brow. His body is also riddled by some other smaller ones. Also, along his left bicep, he has a blue pattern (interwoven with Gaelic knots) that wrap around his arm. His hair is rather dark brown, and is often cropped short with most of his hair brushing forward from behind. He often keeps up with his facial hair, so while not ever having a full fledge beard, there is still sprouts of facial hair that he manages to keep tame, or is merely stubble at points. His eyes are a fierce blue grey that often have a never dying fire behind them. .:Height:. 6’3” .:Portrayed by:. Andy Whitfield
| ~ • ~ | Personality | ~ • ~ |
.:Personality:. Gael tends to let his emotions get the better of him some times, and he strives on having a purpose within his life, for whatever that might be. Unlike other nomads, he tends to keep his morality and sense of right and wrong in check, by his standards at least and also by those of his people back home in the highlands of Caledonia. If somebody is deemed worthy enough, they can see this personality of his fairly easily, and even if not, it can still slip through the cracks of his somber front. Gael can be quite rash, often proceeding with actions before thinking of the consequences in single handed fights. While this hardly happens within his tribe, with invaders or opposing tribes within Caledonia, being talked down upon is not something that settles with Gael. Outside of Caledonia, he does not completely understand the ideas of monarchy, nor really a lot of the ideas of Albion with its crack down on magic. While not a freedom fighter, for he does not believe in being fueled by revenge as Alvarr does, Gael still believes in that magic users should take a stand, that they do not need to hide away like deer in the woods, but to be out in the open without fear. .:Strengths:. Tracking (both animals and people), swordplay (but not with archery), complying with team work (so long as the other is as well), and offensive magic. .:Weaknesses:. Temper (Gael has quite the temper on him, his rage can lead him to black outs and also extreme vulnerability), Archery, Dislikes being subordinate (does not take well to taking orders), and defensive/healing magic. .:Magic Abilities:. Gael’s magical abilities are mostly centralized in fire and offensive methods. He thought it ironic because of how Albion’s magic users were burned at the state, and if he chooses so, non magic users can earn the same fate. Although, a lot of his fire magic requires extreme concentration and can hinder him in fighting and make him have to recuperate some stamina. All of this is achieved by spells and incantations. .:Special Skills:. Gael is prone to being a charismatic talker, not in front of a single person though, but he does enjoy getting groups of people riled up. .:Accents:. A smooth blend between Scottish and Welsh, but his voice still carries it's rough edges.

.:Birthplace:. Highlands of Caledonia .:Family:. Caundival (Father, Lord of His People), Elliowye (Mother, Lady of the Samarians), Roran(Younger Brother) .:Companions:. Saoirse (Shadowmere), Shergar (Fleabitten Grey Horse), Ochulissa (Scottish Deer Hound) .:Occupation:. Pict Warrior, Scout .:Current Location of Residence:. Refuge with the Druids of Camelot’s territories .:History:. Gael comes from the Northern lands, a place where Albion does not have staked claims in its boundaries. The highlands are considered a dangerous wildnerness, run by savage tribes people. The tribe that Gael falls under is known as the Picts, and they are one of the more powerful tribes within the lands. His childhood is rather simple, first born and expected to take the lead of the tribe once his father dies only to be upstaged by his younger brother in leadership skills. Although, this does not bother Gael at all, and already being a skilled warrior, was glad to see that Roran, his younger brother, was beginning to excel in the tribe’s politics where he failed in the warrior’s test.
One of the skills learned from Gael's warrior training was magic, and learning magic within the Picts tribe is something that is often considered of a coming of age into manhood, just like becoming a warrior. While failing with spells regarding the elements water, earth, and wind, Gael excelled with fire and began to dedicate most of his magic learnings and parchments to offensive skills. Roran warned Gael of using his magic too frequently, especially when dealing with other tribes and told him to use it as little as possible. One day, lords from the lands of Albion, the kingdoms unknown to Gael this day, moved into the lands of Caledonia to try and take over. Many of the tribes resisted and fought back, the help of the Picts included. There was a terrible battle that day, and many fell, but Gael survived as well the lands of Caledonia were kept safe.
The try on their lands greatly startled the tribes of Caledonia, and therefore, a meeting of the tribes’ Lords was called into play where they would discuss on what to do. In the end, they came to the conclusion that they would send some of their best warriors into the lands of Albion for both scouting as well as causing a rift within the lands after hearing that Albion, especially the Kingdom of Camelot. Rumors of resistance fighters were traveling across the lands, as well as other things that were happening in the various kingdoms of Albion. With those thoughts, they set their plans into motion. Gael was one of the selected warriors, along with his friend Rannoch, to venture into Albion, because of his strength and unknown to him, his uneven emotions. Once his father told him of his travels to Albion, Gael quickly gathered his things and took his horse and set forth into the lands of Albion.
