Today was the first day in the rest of Freddie's life. Now was the time to make amends, and those amends would stay in place for as long as he could imagine. He had made a promise to Romily to change, and to be the man that he knew she deserved. He wouldn't be prepared to change for many people, but Romily was different. She just made him want to be a better person; just for her.
Freddie was starting to put this life changing plan into action, and the first way in which he could think to do this was to take Romily out for a ride. It would give them the privacy which he so craved with her, as well as combining this with his need to see Camelot in all its splendour. He wanted Romily to open up to him, he wanted it to be like the old days. Although Freddie knew it would be a long time until they could get back what they had once had, he could still help it along anyway that he could think of.
Freddie was now just waiting in the courtyard of Camelot castle, waiting for his Millie to join him so that the afternoons events could begin. Freddie straightened out his tunic and looked over the two horses which had been selected for the ride. There would be no guard to accompany them; he was more than capable of protecting them both should any trouble arise.

She had no idea why on earth she hade even agreed to this. Frederick had seemed determind that he was going to become a better person, although Romily very much doubted that he could change his ways - even if it was not his fault for past events. She would just have to see what the day would bring. Apparently they were going for a ride. Romily had not ridden in years and was a little hesitant about getting back on a horse again, but she couldn't say no to Freddie -she would always give in to him.
She adjusted her dress and looked in the mirror. That would be suitable enough for riding - it was a nice day in all fairness, so there was no need for any other heavy riding gear to weigh her down with. Picking up her skirts she left her room and headed down to the courtyard, where he would be waiting for her.
Romily caught sight of him as she approached the top of the steps, standing with two horses. It was then she remembered why she had said yes. Her feet soon found themselves guiding her body down the steps and towards him. It was time to be Lady Romily, the Lady Romily that he actually knew. Finally reaching where Frederick was standing, she swept down into a curtsey. "My lord". Formality was all the part of her, whether Frederick had forgotton that or not was an entirely different story. She stayed for a moment on the ground, not daring to look up at him incase she lost her balance and fell flat on her face. What a good start that would be!

Freddie began to worry he had got the wrong day, or perhaps that she wasn't coming. However, all these fears or thoughts were dispersed in an instance as he saw her descending down the steps towards him. She still had the ability to take his breath away and he couldn't help a smile erupting onto his lips as he walked forwards to greet her.
As she swept into a curtsey he slightly raised an eye brow at her. Surely she must have known that such formality was not needed in front of him? But then again perhaps she was just doing it as a sign of respect. He wanted to do this her way, Freddie wanted to accommodate Millie in anyway he could. If this was how she wanted to start off the proceedings then of course he would oblige her. He held her hand and raised her up, "Lady Romily." He said softly as he raised her to her full height, "I trust I find you well this morning?" She certainly looked as beautiful, if not more beautiful, as she had on their last meeting.

She felt his hand take hers to raise her from her position. "Lady Romily." she heard him say as he did so. Still she could not bring herself to look at him just yet and instead chose to keep her gaze fixed on the ground. "I trust I find you well this morning?"
Romily bit her lip and nodded, "Very well indeed, my lord" she replied. This was like being at Wolfhall again. She'd suddenly turned back into the girl who was made to learn every line over and over again until she'd got it right. By now, Romily was the master in being curteous to nobles and had no more need to being taught the answers that she had to give to them when they asked questions. In truth, most of it she'd picked up on her own accord.
"and are you well my lord?" she asked
Romily wondered what the people were like back in Sorestan? Did they address Frederick like this? Or were there completly different customs that she had to comply to? His rank was indeed an important one as well as his position, so surely there were ways that were different to Camelot. Once upon a time, Romily had dreamt of Sorestan, being just the Kingdom that was anything like Carmelide. The people were friendly, the surroundings beautiful. That was a dream though, but one that she hadn't forgotten in time.
