Lance had taken the day off though there was never really a day off for a Knight but he needed some time to himself so getting on his horse he road off out of the walls of Camelot though he staid on the land. He wore a loose shirt tucked into pants with boots, it was nothing fancy but it was comfortable and that was all that mattered to him! He gripped the horses reins and sped off, it wasn't that he wanted to be away from people he just wanted to get away from walls, to be out in the open surrounded by the greens of nature sounded wonderful to him today. His head was in the clouds as he road off, not really paying too much attention to where he was going but where ever it was it was going to be beautiful because that is how Camelot was it was beautiful, well taken care of. Something only a good king could do and Arthur was just that!
Finally getting far enough and deep enough he got off his horse he looked around there was trees everywhere and a nice lake not too far off. It was a good place to rest. He took some of his stuff off his horse so the horse could have a little free time as well. He smiled and took a spot next to the tree leaning back he closed his eyes for little just losing himself in his own thoughts. It was nice not to be around anyone the quiet was really nice and though he liked to be around his brothers and the lovely people of Camelot but some times quiet and nature was nice to be around.
Before he knew it Lance had dozed off a little he was so relaxed that he just couldn't help himself. With a soft huff his eyes fell closed and his breath became soft and silent. Lancelot's head dropped a little as she dreamed sweets dreams. Though the nap was nice it did not last long for he awoke when he realized that it was too quiet around him. He opened his eyes and blinked a couple times to make the world around him came into focus. Whipping his face a little he looked around and noticed his horse was no where in site, Lance grumbled a little as he stood up the horse must have wandered off a little ways it was no big deal though he really wasn't wanting to get up of his lazy bum but he did because his horse was very important to him. Walking past the trees a little carrying his stuff over his shoulders he looked around keeping all senses open for any horsy noises. Tag: Laurelin! Note:Will make it pretty later. I hope it was ok I am not too good at openings haha!

There came a gentle sound of wood being carved and shaped. With the tip of Laurelin's small carving blade. Forming a good and strong spear. Holding it out to feel the grip, it felt good, just a little more rough refining and it should be ready for an arrow head. She had pulled one tied to her waist and it sat beside her on a rock deep in the forest. The sound of water echoed and called. Soon. Soon. Her heart rang at the sound. How could Laurelin go without the link to her family? How could she go without which was much like home? Water. It was life after all. The day was set nicely, warm and spring like. Not too hot, but then the movement of the trees helped give a gentle breeze. Laurelin had left her gypsy camp some distance in the forest to go for a little hunting and to really mingle around the forest. She felt so at home. As she gave a gentle hum to an old spanish tune handed down through the generations of gypsies. Nuri then swooped down from the heavens. Landing upon the rock. Laurelin was happy to see her little friend, seems someone knew it was hunting time. Laurelin smiled at the eagle as her finger lightly played under Nuri's chin.
There came a rustling in the trees nearby of movements. Perking both Nuri and Laurelin. 'Oooh maybe a rabbit' Laurelin whispered to Nuri. Though the rustling got a little more, maybe something a little bigger and motioned to tie the arrowhead in place. Though as soon as her hand grasped the newly formed spear, was then horse motioned into view. Then lowered the spear. The horse was just lazily grazing with saddle tack and all. Must have lost it's rider Laurelin pondered. "Look Nuri! Seems we have a new friend... Would only be right to introduce ourselves, join in with our hunt." Laurelin spoke with a smile to Nuri before almost falling off the rock. Quietly moving towards the horse with spear in hand but much out of sight. With Nuri almost on Laurelin's toe, well shoulder. The horse perked up, though much stood it's ground and just a little stand offish of the approaching strangers. First allowing to sniff her hand, soon Laurelin stroked the horse's head and looked around. Maybe he had runaway wishing for freedom. "Hello there" Laurelin spoke calmly. Soon after a couple of words, Laurelin quietly climbed to be on top of it and felt the saddle rather odd. Best be rid of this soon she gathered, maybe give chance for who ever lost the horse to get it back, but Laureling figured shouldn't let it wander off alone and with spear in hand. Held it in a comfortable spot. It wasn't her longest spear so it didn't get too much in the way of things. Nuri nested a little upon Laurelin's shoulder. As she gave a nice little squeeze with her heels and began their little descend within the forest. Was rather nice with the breeze tousling up through Laurelin's hair, in a nice direction so not to whip Nuri off from her shoulder. A nice stroke against the horses's neck, soon felt the beast relax more and settled to her feet. It felt a slightly regal type horse, but royalty.
After a little they trotted through the forest picking up speed, but not leaving the area a great deal. Felt the rush of the wind, the beating of her heart raced and Nuri's little feet almost clawed into her shoulder before they halted in their tracks. Spotting a rabbit in the clearing ahead. Motioned the horse quietly in a good range of distance, took aim and shot. Though some sound startled the creature and the spear hit nothing but twigs and a couple of leaves dead on the ground. Causing the rabbit to be out of sight in a matter of seconds. 'Great' Laurelin muttered. Before motioning to where her spear had landed. Motioned off the horses back, her bare feet hitting the ground nicely as she moved to pick up the spear. Checking the the arrowhead was still good. Then she motioned back to climb back on the horse. Wondering what had spooked the rabbit. Was it just the wind?

His eyes were heavy, that rest he was in the middle of was wonderful but now that he was up and walking about he was a little groggy. It had been too long since he had been able to just relax, he was always going something for Arthur or the other Knights, anyone in the need of help had his attention so he didn't get many days off to himself and now that he had one he had to go looking for his horse that was always fun! His horse was a curious little thing but it was his horse and that is what made him special. Lance placed his hands in his pockets and continued on his way he was not walking carefully so he was stepping on twigs and crunching leaves he was not afraid to walk the forests for he was prepared for any and all situations that may occur while out in the open.
He made his way whistling for his horse, normally the horse came when Lance called it but it seemed to not be hearing him. Something was up, hopefully the horse was not stuck or worse taken. Lance shook his head and picked up his pace calling out for his horse. Hearing a noise he stopped in mid step, letting his ears perk up he listened, with that noise he picked out where it was coming from and headed that way he was not going to let his horse get away, it would look bad on his part not that, that mattered any he was a Knight and he would be able to get another one but he did not want another one he wanted his horse.
Making his way through the forest he saw a rabbit race past him, it had a loot of terror on it's little face. Lance look around to see why this rabbit should be so afraid so he pushed through the bushed only to find his horse and upon his horse sat a beautiful young woman and... And a Bird? How interesting "May I ask what you are doing with my horse?" Lance was calm and his voice was kind, he did not want to spook her or any of the animals but he did wish to know why she was on his horse and what she planned to do with said horse. It was a little weird seeing a woman upon his horse that he was not wish or helping she was just there on her own so he was very curious as to why. Lance looked at her with his eyes full of curiosity and he had a friendly smile slapped on his face as to show that he was not there to harm her. Tag: Laurelin! Note:Looks good! Oh wow sorry this sucks I am having a bad day haha hopefully you can work with it!

As Laurelin's eyes grazed to peak through the shaded trees around her. As her small hand patted the horse upon it's neck, twirling the bits of mane around her fingers and simply listened to the wind. Smiled softly as Nuri shuffled nicely back upon her shoulder. Running a smooth little stroke under the eagle's chin. When she needed someone to talk to, it always seemed Nuri was right there when she needed it. Friends for so many years, Laurelin didn't know what life would be like without her company. She bore pants of a more natural range of colours which helped the blending into the forest whilst she hunt and just easier to move around with. A fitted top to match with some skin showing. Laurelin's golden locks tangled around her shoulders and back. As she gripped the mane a little more, came a scuffle just close by and Laurelin was surprised she hadn't picked up on it sooner.
As if out of the abyss of the forest came out a man, a little out of breath and rather calm voice. Her brown eyes looked to him as she motioned a little abrasive as he motioned towards her, before her eyes motioned to the horse she was sitting upon as the man spoke of his claim. So he had a rider? Laurelin rang through her mind then why did the horse come with her with little encouragement. Although as she pondered the thought could feel a slight motion of the horse, the perk of it's ears at it's rider. Friendly perhaps? That was keen thing to admire, as Nuri now scuffled a little more upon her shoulder. A little on alert of the new stranger. Laurelin couldn't help the kind look in the man's eye, there was a hint of strength as well and she felt his need for his horse. Maybe he shouldn't of fallen behind. Or perhaps shouldn't of fallen a sleep. "Your horse? I did not know this was 'your' horse. I don't see any names on him... You sure this is your horse?" Laurelin was more teasing him now at his notion it was his horse as she motioned to look around at the animal, not seeing any name or claim upon his flesh. Failing to see the proof of purchase, she smiled softly.
The horse then crept a little underneath her towards the man, in which Laurelin knew she could so easily take the horse, but not without giving the horse a fabled chance if it did wish to live freely. For Laurelin was envisioning stone walls where this horse must spend a lot of the time in and Laurelin couldn't live like that. Any step inside was one step quicker she wished to leave it. Laurelin smiled softly with the gentle stroke upon the horse as it made to nuzzle the man's hand. "To be fair he found us. If he was yours. May I ask how you came to lose him? If you would like to take him back, then join us. Maybe a little freedom will do you both some good." Laurelin spoke softly now with her spanish accent as she lightly told him that in fact the horse had found them as her eyes looked gently down upon him and asked how he came to lose him, especially if he valued him. As her eyes looked upon the man as she wondered why he was out here and alone. He wasn't a gypsy. Maybe to see the world. Even for a moment. That Laurelin could lend aid at, if he wanted some freedom which she felt also from the horse, she she offered as she patted a seat behind her. As being a tiny woman upon the muscular stallion, there was plenty of room. Including Nuri, who he may have to watch out not to offend by accidentally rustling her feathers. "I'm Laurelin... What's yours?" She then asked kindly, feeling the breeze gently brush by and carried the sound of water. Soon. Maybe if this man was up for a little cat mouse in the forest. Eat a little something before she sunk in the depth of the water.

Lance laughed a little at her comment about having names on the horse. He was not really laughing at her comment just the irony of this situation "No my lady I do not have a name on my horse, seeing as that would be cruel to the animal all in it's self." Lance put his hand out for the horse, his horse. Lance loved that four legged creature, they had many journey's together and faced more danger than one would ever know and Lance was not willing to let that go. It may have been weird to see but when someone who doesn't have anything, not even family to go back to what they do acquire becomes important and everything in their eyes. It was not something he could really explain to anyone. The other knights knew he had no blood family not that it really mattered because he had his brothers of the cloth to aid him and all his close friends. Lance was never alone!
"He is not lost, a forest is a perfectly good place for a horse. And freedom is what you speak of which is exactly what I am giving my partner here. Every animal deserves a rest just like we do, do you not agree?" He smiled up at her and patted his horse as it nosed his hand. They had history and it was obvious through the actions of both party members. It did not bother Lance that there was another on his horse without permission he was a very generous person and if the horse let the person mount them with out Lance they were obviously a good person. Animals always had a feel for those things Lance has noticed mostly with his horse but that was just some thing he saw in them it did not make it true.
She than spoke again to him this time stating a name and with a slight bow Lance smiled as he spoke "My name is Lancelot, it is a pleasure to meet you miss Laurelin." Lance left out the fact that he was a knight in Camelot but he also did not see it as important unless someone asks him, or he is announcing himself to another knight or royalty. Lance just liked to keep things simple really and he did not truly care for titles and he did not want to make it seem like he was better than those less fortunate but that was just him if he found it necessary to give a title than he would but till than he was just Lance, just like he use to be before his dream came true. Laurelin remained relaxed as ever upon the horse. Her bare feet hung out of the stirrups. She was rather used to going bareback riding, but she oddly found the saddle a bit comfy. Although best be rid of if he needed to be set free at the end of the day. For even though they were in the forest, this wasn't a place to set him free. It was far, but not far enough from unexpected attacks. Mainly from those trying to snag him. No. Laurelin knew places where the wild horses played. That's where a horse could be free. It was one thing to be free alone, but freedom was better shared. Well, to some extent at least. As her brown eyes looked down upon the man's own brown eyes, feeling a tad drawn in. Felt the engulf a little of his laughter. She grinned amused at his response, she couldn't agree more as her eyes admired him a little more. As she was just trying to understand this man. Her expressions softened as he reached out a hand and gave affection to the horse. Silently looked upon his eyes, saw the attachment for the horse and some sort of bond. Even if Laurelin didn't think it entirely balanced, but it was out of a kind heart. That she admired. As her hand patted the neck, he seemed a rather happy horse after all. "I couldn't agree more... Is he all you have?" Laurelin couldn't help to ask. She couldn't help but sense the familiarity he seemed to have. For as though she was one among the gypsies. Laurelin was much alone. Her family. Her parents had sailed away. She always had the independent nature. Only closed to family was Oliver.
A smile came as the man spoke how his horse wasn't lost. Laurelin faintly shaking her head. Getting the horse lost was just what Laurelin had in mind. Maybe different views on freedom. She was half wondering if he meant Nuri as he spoke, in which Laurelin smiled. There was a difference. "Sometimes you have to be lost, to be free. I do... I believe in free will." Laurelin spoke kindly to the man what she half knew to be freedom. She mostly followed the wind from place to place. There was only one stop she made sure to meet, that was Mercia, even that could be randomly placed. Laurelin smiled with the gentle nod of her head. As then she spoke of free will. For all, was what she meant. As Nuri then picked up her wings and took flight through the trees. Leaving Laurelin's shoulder bare. Maybe she spotted something. Though Laurelin couldn't quite tell.
It was then this man bowed. Now Laurelin was sure he was not from the forest, although she couldn't quite say he was from the other world either. There was something that called to him, least that's what Laurelin imagined by the look in his eyes. He was just simply out here. Laurelin smiled, if this was what he truly wanted then perhaps she could really show him. Even if, as her eyes traced over him he would return from wherever he came. She could aid in getting him lost for a few moments. Her finger lightly between her teeth, she was sure she'd make sure he was set back on the right path. She couldn't help the slight blush of her cheeks from his words. There was something about his kindness that almost drew her in, but still clouded with a little bit of mystery. Laurelin then heard Nuri's scream, her call and the direction the echo carried it. Laurelin reached out her hand for the chance he may wish to take it. "Lancelot? Are you hungry? Come with me." Laurelin asked with intent eyes upon him. Knowing Nuri had possibly managed to catch a rabbit. As Laurelin then stretched her hand a little more if he wished to take it, otherwise he may need to go by foot. Smiled at the thought of sharing lunch and maybe a story or two. After all who was Lancelot.
