Laurelin remained relaxed as ever upon the horse. Her bare feet hung out of the stirrups. She was rather used to going bareback riding, but she oddly found the saddle a bit comfy. Although best be rid of if he needed to be set free at the end of the day. For even though they were in the forest, this wasn't a place to set him free. It was far, but not far enough from unexpected attacks. Mainly from those trying to snag him. No. Laurelin knew places where the wild horses played. That's where a horse could be free. It was one thing to be free alone, but freedom was better shared. Well, to some extent at least. As her brown eyes looked down upon the man's own brown eyes, feeling a tad drawn in. Felt the engulf a little of his laughter. She grinned amused at his response, she couldn't agree more as her eyes admired him a little more. As she was just trying to understand this man. Her expressions softened as he reached out a hand and gave affection to the horse. Silently looked upon his eyes, saw the attachment for the horse and some sort of bond. Even if Laurelin didn't think it entirely balanced, but it was out of a kind heart. That she admired. As her hand patted the neck, he seemed a rather happy horse after all. "I couldn't agree more... Is he all you have?" Laurelin couldn't help to ask. She couldn't help but sense the familiarity he seemed to have. For as though she was one among the gypsies. Laurelin was much alone. Her family. Her parents had sailed away. She always had the independent nature. Only closed to family was Oliver.
A smile came as the man spoke how his horse wasn't lost. Laurelin faintly shaking her head. Getting the horse lost was just what Laurelin had in mind. Maybe different views on freedom. She was half wondering if he meant Nuri as he spoke, in which Laurelin smiled. There was a difference. "Sometimes you have to be lost, to be free. I do... I believe in free will." Laurelin spoke kindly to the man what she half knew to be freedom. She mostly followed the wind from place to place. There was only one stop she made sure to meet, that was Mercia, even that could be randomly placed. Laurelin smiled with the gentle nod of her head. As then she spoke of free will. For all, was what she meant. As Nuri then picked up her wings and took flight through the trees. Leaving Laurelin's shoulder bare. Maybe she spotted something. Though Laurelin couldn't quite tell.
It was then this man bowed. Now Laurelin was sure he was not from the forest, although she couldn't quite say he was from the other world either. There was something that called to him, least that's what Laurelin imagined by the look in his eyes. He was just simply out here. Laurelin smiled, if this was what he truly wanted then perhaps she could really show him. Even if, as her eyes traced over him he would return from wherever he came. She could aid in getting him lost for a few moments. Her finger lightly between her teeth, she was sure she'd make sure he was set back on the right path. She couldn't help the slight blush of her cheeks from his words. There was something about his kindness that almost drew her in, but still clouded with a little bit of mystery. Laurelin then heard Nuri's scream, her call and the direction the echo carried it. Laurelin reached out her hand for the chance he may wish to take it. "Lancelot? Are you hungry? Come with me." Laurelin asked with intent eyes upon him. Knowing Nuri had possibly managed to catch a rabbit. As Laurelin then stretched her hand a little more if he wished to take it, otherwise he may need to go by foot. Smiled at the thought of sharing lunch and maybe a story or two. After all who was Lancelot.

As Laurelin's eyes grazed to peak through the shaded trees around her. As her small hand patted the horse upon it's neck, twirling the bits of mane around her fingers and simply listened to the wind. Smiled softly as Nuri shuffled nicely back upon her shoulder. Running a smooth little stroke under the eagle's chin. When she needed someone to talk to, it always seemed Nuri was right there when she needed it. Friends for so many years, Laurelin didn't know what life would be like without her company. She bore pants of a more natural range of colours which helped the blending into the forest whilst she hunt and just easier to move around with. A fitted top to match with some skin showing. Laurelin's golden locks tangled around her shoulders and back. As she gripped the mane a little more, came a scuffle just close by and Laurelin was surprised she hadn't picked up on it sooner.
As if out of the abyss of the forest came out a man, a little out of breath and rather calm voice. Her brown eyes looked to him as she motioned a little abrasive as he motioned towards her, before her eyes motioned to the horse she was sitting upon as the man spoke of his claim. So he had a rider? Laurelin rang through her mind then why did the horse come with her with little encouragement. Although as she pondered the thought could feel a slight motion of the horse, the perk of it's ears at it's rider. Friendly perhaps? That was keen thing to admire, as Nuri now scuffled a little more upon her shoulder. A little on alert of the new stranger. Laurelin couldn't help the kind look in the man's eye, there was a hint of strength as well and she felt his need for his horse. Maybe he shouldn't of fallen behind. Or perhaps shouldn't of fallen a sleep. "Your horse? I did not know this was 'your' horse. I don't see any names on him... You sure this is your horse?" Laurelin was more teasing him now at his notion it was his horse as she motioned to look around at the animal, not seeing any name or claim upon his flesh. Failing to see the proof of purchase, she smiled softly.
The horse then crept a little underneath her towards the man, in which Laurelin knew she could so easily take the horse, but not without giving the horse a fabled chance if it did wish to live freely. For Laurelin was envisioning stone walls where this horse must spend a lot of the time in and Laurelin couldn't live like that. Any step inside was one step quicker she wished to leave it. Laurelin smiled softly with the gentle stroke upon the horse as it made to nuzzle the man's hand. "To be fair he found us. If he was yours. May I ask how you came to lose him? If you would like to take him back, then join us. Maybe a little freedom will do you both some good." Laurelin spoke softly now with her spanish accent as she lightly told him that in fact the horse had found them as her eyes looked gently down upon him and asked how he came to lose him, especially if he valued him. As her eyes looked upon the man as she wondered why he was out here and alone. He wasn't a gypsy. Maybe to see the world. Even for a moment. That Laurelin could lend aid at, if he wanted some freedom which she felt also from the horse, she she offered as she patted a seat behind her. As being a tiny woman upon the muscular stallion, there was plenty of room. Including Nuri, who he may have to watch out not to offend by accidentally rustling her feathers. "I'm Laurelin... What's yours?" She then asked kindly, feeling the breeze gently brush by and carried the sound of water. Soon. Maybe if this man was up for a little cat mouse in the forest. Eat a little something before she sunk in the depth of the water.

There came a gentle sound of wood being carved and shaped. With the tip of Laurelin's small carving blade. Forming a good and strong spear. Holding it out to feel the grip, it felt good, just a little more rough refining and it should be ready for an arrow head. She had pulled one tied to her waist and it sat beside her on a rock deep in the forest. The sound of water echoed and called. Soon. Soon. Her heart rang at the sound. How could Laurelin go without the link to her family? How could she go without which was much like home? Water. It was life after all. The day was set nicely, warm and spring like. Not too hot, but then the movement of the trees helped give a gentle breeze. Laurelin had left her gypsy camp some distance in the forest to go for a little hunting and to really mingle around the forest. She felt so at home. As she gave a gentle hum to an old spanish tune handed down through the generations of gypsies. Nuri then swooped down from the heavens. Landing upon the rock. Laurelin was happy to see her little friend, seems someone knew it was hunting time. Laurelin smiled at the eagle as her finger lightly played under Nuri's chin.
There came a rustling in the trees nearby of movements. Perking both Nuri and Laurelin. 'Oooh maybe a rabbit' Laurelin whispered to Nuri. Though the rustling got a little more, maybe something a little bigger and motioned to tie the arrowhead in place. Though as soon as her hand grasped the newly formed spear, was then horse motioned into view. Then lowered the spear. The horse was just lazily grazing with saddle tack and all. Must have lost it's rider Laurelin pondered. "Look Nuri! Seems we have a new friend... Would only be right to introduce ourselves, join in with our hunt." Laurelin spoke with a smile to Nuri before almost falling off the rock. Quietly moving towards the horse with spear in hand but much out of sight. With Nuri almost on Laurelin's toe, well shoulder. The horse perked up, though much stood it's ground and just a little stand offish of the approaching strangers. First allowing to sniff her hand, soon Laurelin stroked the horse's head and looked around. Maybe he had runaway wishing for freedom. "Hello there" Laurelin spoke calmly. Soon after a couple of words, Laurelin quietly climbed to be on top of it and felt the saddle rather odd. Best be rid of this soon she gathered, maybe give chance for who ever lost the horse to get it back, but Laureling figured shouldn't let it wander off alone and with spear in hand. Held it in a comfortable spot. It wasn't her longest spear so it didn't get too much in the way of things. Nuri nested a little upon Laurelin's shoulder. As she gave a nice little squeeze with her heels and began their little descend within the forest. Was rather nice with the breeze tousling up through Laurelin's hair, in a nice direction so not to whip Nuri off from her shoulder. A nice stroke against the horses's neck, soon felt the beast relax more and settled to her feet. It felt a slightly regal type horse, but royalty.
After a little they trotted through the forest picking up speed, but not leaving the area a great deal. Felt the rush of the wind, the beating of her heart raced and Nuri's little feet almost clawed into her shoulder before they halted in their tracks. Spotting a rabbit in the clearing ahead. Motioned the horse quietly in a good range of distance, took aim and shot. Though some sound startled the creature and the spear hit nothing but twigs and a couple of leaves dead on the ground. Causing the rabbit to be out of sight in a matter of seconds. 'Great' Laurelin muttered. Before motioning to where her spear had landed. Motioned off the horses back, her bare feet hitting the ground nicely as she moved to pick up the spear. Checking the the arrowhead was still good. Then she motioned back to climb back on the horse. Wondering what had spooked the rabbit. Was it just the wind?

Laurelin etched her eyes back up at the moon. All around them was blackened. Everything that was supposed to matter just wasn't there. She fell into the place with Oliver. She felt the warm thud of her heart as if it was settling back home. For now it was happy to have returned. Although the faint rustling of the trees, Laurelin knew there was a call looming. She just couldn't stay here forever. Unlike Oliver she didn't care for shackles to the material world. What she saw through the kingdom was stone rocks. Wood. Abled to be burnt and melted into nothiningness. This just wasn't what home meant to her. It was destroyable. As she herself warm up with his arms, this was what home meant to Laurelin. That and the land. There maybe a time she never sees Oliver again, in which she tried not to think, but she would always have the memories. He would live forever. They would live forever in the wind. As which Laurelin rolled her eyes with this spiritual thoughts. In the end Laurelin just followed her heart and sometimes her heart made a mistake. Laurelin was strong enough to pick herself up. The true miracle was life.
"Your inviting me into your closet?" Laurelin asked with the raise of her brow with a playful smile as her cheeks blushed as he continued to warm her with the coat he had on now, she rather liked the idea. "Might have to be careful not to fall in the colossal scale of it, I might have to hunt you down." Laurelin remarked at the size and the possible losing of Oliver. It was well, maybe more normal sized closet, but then Laurelin just isn't around many. So it was huge to her. She did remember falling in it when she was younger and it took forever for him to pull her back out. She half remembered he tripped and fell upon her. She softly laughed at the thought with a gentle shake of her head *kids*. She was thankful he wasn't heavy. She gently tapped his belly as she turned to him now. He was still not overly heavy. 'OH' Laurelin gasped amusingly as he gripped her hand before she could pull his hair. So he still remembered how to play rough? Laurelin could make him cry mercy tonight, but considering she could easily get that at the poke of his wound. It lost its appeal. Well? Laurelin rethought that. Laurelin stopped her hand as Oliver spoke. She listened intensely as she was taking what he said as facts. Really he could get her to believe a lot of things. She laughed at his remark and smiled. She would behave. Her hand then pulled a strand of her own from her head and offered to him. "Here. Just incase you do lose it, you have a replacement... I also love your gold locks. You'd still look handsome with all silver."
For that moment she felt Oliver pull away in his implications. She felt at ease as he came to make up for it. Laurelin knew she had read into it more than she should have, things were tough on him and he didn't realise how his words sounded. Didn't realise what they could possibly mean, but he was realising maybe now he wasn't sounding himself. Laurelin looked at him side wards. Realising just how much he was maybe carrying. Maybe he had been more trying to convince himself in his words than trying to convince Laurelin. In that moment came realisation to her. "I know, Oliver!" Laurelin responded softly in tone to him with a hand to his cheek and a smile that she believed him now. She had mistook his meaning and for a moment didn't know Oliver. Now he was coming back to her. Her eyes dead in his as she knew he felt bad for having hurt her. He always feared doing it ever since. Really ever since she met him, so she knew when she mistook his words, it was maybe a little over the top on her part, but she didn't like the feeling Oliver was forcing himself to drift apart. As she looked into his eyes now, she knew that's not what he wanted. He saved her more than he ever hurt her. Everytime he hurt her, it only made her love him more. Because moments came when he showed he really cared and they were even more precious. He was her best friend. Her brother. Her family. She would always forgive him, but she would also be honest to him and tell him how it is. As he would do to her. "I'm not sure its about forgiving him. I just don't trust him. I just don't see remorse in his heart. He hurt you. He hurt us. Because of him, he not only changed us. He stole from me. Something I cannot get back."
Laurelin pained at his words. She knew he had always felt a little like an outsider in his world, it was half the enjoyment together for him. She just never knew he was in this much pain. Laurelin had lived through it and felt the pain daily. She didn't know Oliver did as well. He had to watch it unfold unable to fully help her when she had fallen to pieces. She had spent the years sewing them back together. She did still have her spirit. It was half down to Oliver and mostly down to herself. She was stronger than she knew then. Now she wished she could simply offer Oliver what he wanted. He was free. He just didn't know it. If he really wanted to leave this behind he could. There was no real shackles pinning him down, save himself. Then in the end he was also staying for his family, which she understood, she just didn't favour watching him being swallowed. "I never knew Oliver... Your not stuck, if you really wanted out you could. But I know you won't, because your scared Oliver. That's ok. Its alright to be scared. For all the bad there is for you here. There is some goodness, it half made you who you are Oliver... I can only imagine when he has that power. The lengths he will go... My main fear is for you Oliver. I tell you, he best stay clear of me. As you said I am not a child" Laurelin spoke truths with Oliver. From her heart. He was opening his right now and she was admiring him for it. He was opening up. She wanted to make it ok for him, but there was little she could do. He would leave Mercia, even though she knew he wouldn't regret it in the long run. He would to begin with, but he was afraid. There was good here. As it made him. He was Mercia in some way, but he also held the world in his eyes. He was meant for this world, not locked up living someone else's life. She then expressed her other thoughts about Edmund. She was now forming the protection as she spoke it was probably best they don't meet. For Laurelin had plenty of years built up to really go at him. She then remarked him saying she wasn't a child as a sort of light hearted way of saying it as she also meant it.
Laurelin then beamed with iridescent light as he took her hands and kissed them. Felt her heart thud in crazy butterflies. As they bubbled into tears and laughter. She didn't like fighting with him any more than he did. The moment he said sorry flooded her. It was all he needed to say. His actions were so beautiful, she truly had missed him. She let out a giggle with a happy smile. He may have hurt her, but he sure knew how to make up for it and no one could make her smile as he did. As motioned closer to him, her hand upon his cheek leading her back into his arms. Her cheek upon his own and her hand upon his neck. Closed her eyes as the tears leaked out and rolled down her smile. "Already forgiven... I'm here Oliver, I didn't know... You don't have to be always strong. If you need to fall apart, I am here to catch you... If you can only escape for a moment, then let's lose ourselves. In me Oliver you have a home as well, when ever you need it. I am your shelter... Shhh, I am here." Laurelin spoke softly with a smile as he was pouring himself out now. She was here for him as she held him tightly. She didn't believe he was doomed. If he was unhappy, he just had to change it. She felt in his words, his actions it was weighing him down. He didn't have to try and bottle it up for her. They may spend time having fun, but they were always here for one another. To fall and be caught. If he was only see glimpses he could be reminded of who he was, when he was with Laurelin. Then it was best they enjoyed what they could.... Although she still couldn't see why he couldn't escape still even for a couple of days. Perhaps getting away would help, but again he was afraid. She let go all that had transpired moments ago and was simply here with him.
"Somehow I don't believe you" Laurelin remarked as she buried her face as Oliver again said it was an accident. She just was failing to believe it, but with her tone, she accepted it, it was maybe mostly in her state of mind.
"Then I am afraid for you, Oliver. I will lose you forever... If he commanded you do what he commanded happen to me. Would you do it? Would you be able to look me in the eye afterwards and be proud of it? If you don't feel its right, then there is a reason for that, Oliver. Its one thing to betray you best friend, it is another thing entirely to betray yourself..." Laurelin then pulled back as she looked up at him. Her hand upon his heart. As the thought almost made her mournful. She had to turn away from him, she couldn't believe he would sink that low for someone else's greed. That he would turn away from his own inner voice. Perhaps she needed more than Nuri to keep an eye on him. She was half concerned to learn Oliver had been sliced to death in his sleep, but perhaps she was again over thinking it. She then moved away from him. Sank to the step of the Gazebo and leaned on the rail. For this would be all she had if Oliver not only turned away from her, but from himself. She then let out a deep saddened shy and wept at the thought.

*Comp messed up on me and deleted this post. I'll try and rewrite it when I can or least recap. So Sorry!!! I remember most of what she said at least... *
"Why? And miss all this? That or I just need thicker skin. Wait? We? Are we going hunting? I did not know designing coats was a skill of yours Oliver. What other secrets have you kept from me? I think this calls for the picking of brains or that of your hair… Least I don't look old. Is that a grey hair?"
"Do they expect you to lose your sense of humour as well, Oliver? What are you really trying to say Oliver? I mean you might as well tell me how you really feel. Right hand man? And your ok with that? We may joke about it Oliver, I am not a child, don't ever think it of me. If your trying to pull me away, then be a man about it."
"I left and came straight here. If I was a bird I would have gotten here sooner. Perhaps you just don't remember, Oliver. There was a lot coming out of your mouth. then maybe that was something other than words. I believe I even held your hair back."
"Be honest with me Oliver. Was it an accident? We both know what he did to us wasn't an accident. Forgive me, but I don't trust him... Can I see it?"
"If he asks it of you, Oliver… Please don't do it"

With the slight dancing of her toes which belatedly was probably only causing them to get colder and the slight chattering of her teeth. As she patiently waited for the descend of Oliver. She heard the voice of Nuri before the eagle took flight to land upon her arm. Bringing a friendly smile as she could tell in her eye that Oliver had indeed answered the call. Her eyes gazing up for there was a good chance he was watching her now. Was he planning to jump her? Unlike him she hadn't grown so much, she was well tiny still. Although she half believed down to her lent him to have a rather gentle touch. Well, with that she reframed that thought with a blush, but she had nothing than Nuri to know none the wiser. With a gentle stroke under the eagle's neck and the smile in her eyes. She let Nuri fly off within the night. As now was the waiting. Deciding if she was best to be prepared, but little good that will do until she landed on her mark. As with one hand she hugged the coat a little tighter. Feeling the rise in her chest breathe just a little warmer, but it still didn't help the chill of her toes. Then even in a blizzard she would risk it all. As she motioned down. Her hand feeling the subtle rocks beneath her fingers. Feeling the cold snap that had taken the kingdom this night, sending bits of frost at its wake. As she fiddled with the small rocks and dirt in her palm. To help her cause. Though as she motioned for her aim, something jolted her reflexes and caused the rocks half landing on herself instead. Dirt sprinkled upon her coat.
In other circumstances she probably be peeved he was getting her off guard again. Ok maybe a little. As she turned back to where she had left. Letting out a laugh caught in her breath. Wondering how she was already forgiving him as he smugly rested on the post. She half looked around and back to his window. How in the world did he sneak passed her? Perhaps he lied to her. That he did have wings. Frowned in play as it would make the distance a whole lot easier. Then when was anything about Oliver ever truly easy. As she then motioned back to the gazebo, back to Oliver. 'You called?' As if out of everything she got simply labeled a sheep, she smiled as she eyed his fancy woollen coat. She was sure she could warm someone up, if not herself. As she then quickened her pace to best be rid of her frost chill at her feet. Quite sure he was even more amused. With the same time, she wasn't out to be lent a hand. Although she would have hard trouble saying no. When did one learn that word? Whether to say it let alone heed its meaning. As she then reached the first step, it was rather like coming home.
"Well aren't you looking all smug, still a pleasant surprise as always... Ahhhh man, you made me miss my target."
Laurelin beamed to Oliver as she stepped on to the Gazebo, meeting him where he leant against the railing. Not that she was pointing out the obvious as she then smiled friendlier. Despite he nearly made her lose her skin, she was pleased he had answered. In well, Oliver fashion. She motioned next to him. Hmmm, feeling the faint brush of his wool. As her brown eyes looked up at him with a faint rest of her head upon his arm. Whispering 'home'. Then retreated as she felt the heaviness on her own coat where the dirt had scattered upon her coat. As she motioned to brush it off, she was amusingly complaining. He knew her well that a little dirt and rocks wouldn't dint her. Nor was she so easily hurt. As she fiddled with the remaining dirt on her coat felt the easing as she stood close to him. She smiled as he teased her about sneaking out. As she did one last brush of her coat. Before hugging it a little more. As she looked up at him amused by his words. How did he do it? Where she felt there had been something wrong and yet he made out as if nothing really changed? Though with the even slight shuffle in his step, much had changed.
"*¿Estás diciendo que soy viejo, Oliver? Your older than me and yet, I'm the one usually doing the kidnapping... You know if you don't want to sneak out, you can always invite me in. Well, then where's the fun in that."
Laurelin teased him back as if she jokingly accused him calling her old in her spanish tongue as she lent on him again playfully. Teased he was older and yet well he did have moments still in his youth. Although she had seen him behave in ways children never do. Her tiny hand held his arm feeling the warmth in the wool as she spoke light heartedly as her voice softened. Her eyes traced the outline of the moon. Before retreating her eyes down. As looked almost sad. He maybe charming enough, but he couldn't avoid her.
"What happened, Oliver? I was concerned when Nuri came back to me all flustered a little while ago, so I know Nuri saw something."
Her throat caught a little dry asked. As she felt the tug at her heart trying not to show to much concern, but she failed badly when it dealt with her best friend. Either he was downplaying so to avoid, or it wasn't as bad as she imagined. Either way it was the not knowing that toyed at her. Relieved she was here now.
*Are you saying I'm old, Oliver?

The night was up above with a faint full moon, but scared that it hid behind the clouds. Leaving a faint glow of the moon as Laurelin's eyes looked upon it. A small smile upon her faint pink lips as she contemplated howling to it, but unsure she would be howled back. This was probably not the most wise thing to do, as her hands tightened around the railing of the Gazebo. Why was she here? As she stepped around the flooring taking in the sight of the kingdom. She was here for Oliver, but why did he need her? There was the crisp change in the wind not a few hours the night before. As the wings of Nuri took guidance to her friend. All she knew was something had caused him to need her. What exactly she had no clue. Only that she felt the racing of her heart and it coursing through her veins. Had she not just seen Oliver some moons back. His heart stretched out, perhaps now it was broken. No. From what Laurelin took in. Something else. She felt the itching of her skin. As Nuri had took flight to his window. Giving him sight she was here before being off for the night. She then stopped between the paces. Feeling she was most likely overreacting. Besides she didn't wish him to be needing to calm her down, when its he that probably needs the comforting.
Forgetting that just some foot steps away, laid the kingdom. The city in which as much as she could, would never fit. Even being here, ran some kind of goosebumps. Not so much out of fear, but merely out of not wanted. Not that had ever stopped her. If she listened or peaked at any that didn't agree with her way of life, then good chance is she wouldn't even be here. Though as her eyes rang over the kingdom and the castle. She could bare any obstacle to reach Oliver. He meant something, she wasn't quite sure even he knew. All he knew was how he kept making her smile. On occasion make her laugh. In which as her hands grasped the railing. She escaped a soft laugh. She was half sure he would never know, but she was in no way for him to ever truly figuring it out. As she was content with what was. As she leant on the railing with her arms crossed. Her brown eyes reaching the faintly covered moon. Closing her eyes faintly. As she smelt the chill. Her legs covered in slick animal skin pants as well as her top. A fur coat... Though her bare feet felt the frost through her toes. As she lived how she did, did make her used to it. Although a warm fire was still something comforting. The smell of smoke and wood... hmmmm. She muttered as her closed eyes imagined and suddenly felt warmer. Before reopening to realise her reality of Mercia and soon Oliver, she hoped was well enough. Which her eyes fell doubtful, felt her heart question perhaps to take the steps herself. Breathed. As she contemplated. Before retreating to the moon above. Letting out a howl. Echoing through the kingdom around her.
Before a smile reached her lips as she motioned from the Gazebo. Skipping across the cold ground as she moved across in the darkness. Motioning to remain out of sight as she motioned closer to the castle. She couldn't wait. What if he never came? What if he was stuck in his castle, with no length of hair of his own to let him down? Or if his own Princess charming? Which she was no princess, but she could easily catch him. In fact she was sure she had kidnapped him a few times from his window, but then that was so many lifetimes ago. Then why does it seem only ghosts away? Perhaps she could kidnap him again, just minus the child part. Unless he was wounded by falling out of a tree again. That is what another kiss upon the knee? Laurelin's mind rang as she soon stopped under his window, hearing Nuri above. So she had made it. Perhaps they had some catching up to do. Laurelin smiled as motioned her hands to her lips. Letting out faint howling sounds, until Oliver held out the white flag and let down what ever he could. So she can catch him and run off with him, through the night. Oh, she could get him to bring blankets. As she was realising her cold feet in the snow. Unless it was past his curfew and he would insist on her to climb. She rolled her eyes, as if curfew ever stopped either of them. Or anything for that matter.

The centre of her heart ached so badly. Her mind was in no way seeking sense. Her eyes merely sort Oliver. She felt the thudding of her heart as his eyes looked upon her face. Looked into his eyes, it made her weep and her head drop. For he was the choice she made. It was the right choice, but it meant she gave up a lot as well. Despite the pain in coursed for so much to lose, she just couldn't lose Oliver. The moment he took her hand sent her into a wave of emotions. Begging to pull him in and never let go of him. Hold on to him. Make him hold on to her. She could feel from the emotions on his own face. This gentle desire to care for her. He needed her. Whether he'd ever speak it. He needed her. In ways she needed him. She most defiantly needed him now. With the look and the hold of her hand. She could feel he was no where else, than here. It caused a sweet sensation through her body. This devotion, she just couldn't live without it. She couldn't live without him. Not if it meant never seeing him look upon her in such a way. When his hands reached out to need her. How would she know across the water? How would she know he'd remember her? Her head fell down in her hands. How could she ever forget him? She shook her head. She wouldn't forget him, but with every chance had she had gone it would have happened. That she just couldn't face.
Her entire body ran of a mixed sensation as he took her in his arms. It was warm and it was home. Oh, it was home. As Laurelin held on to him as tight as she could. Curled up to him. Embedded herself within him. Needing to feel she was a part of him and yet, it didn't feel it was ever close enough. Her head fell heavy upon his shoulder, in the curve of his neck. She could smell how warm and inviting he was. It was a comforting smell and very soothing. Her legs still balled up, but rested upon his own. Her hands curled up between their chests. Her right hand ran across his chest, pulling him and herself closer. Cuddled as well as she could. Felt the caress of his hand upon her hair, she lifted her face for a moment as her eyes looked to his own as Oliver spoke. Believing them from how he looked upon her. She never desired a promise so much, but in this she wished. In this she believed. It was all he needed to say. It was all he need to do. Was be here. To be there for her. She wanted to remain beside him, possibly forever. She never was one to seek such a thing, but she could stop herself now. He was her other half. The piece that made her soul complete. Her hand moved from his chest and ran up to his cheek. Felt it pull him in closer. Felt the pure love within his skin. There was nothing in this man, she could ever fault. He was all she ever needed. Even the flaws she admired. As her eyes sprang these new tears, her lips smiled faintly as she saw him. Looking down upon her, she never wanted to forget this. She never wanted him to stop looking at her in such a way. Felt the drawing of her heart leap over bounds in all kinds of directions. Just any directions that led to Oliver. Not away. No never away. He was beautiful. There were so many things working around, but this was why she stayed. As her hand caressed his cheek. Felt how amazing he truly was. Her eyes fluttered in between glances, felt his drawing her in. Her lips smiled, before she took the courage to look away. Returning her head upon his shoulder. Her hand ran down his cheek back to his chest. Her hand felt the thudding of his heart. While her ear heard it in the curve of his neck. Closing her eyes as the tears fell down her cheeks and she simply fell within this moment. Falling within him and for once needing to be the one that needed to be caught. Oh and he was here. As she felt the rise and fall of her breath. The thudding of his heart was bringing so much peace. It was painful to look away from his eyes, but it was worth it to feel his heart. Beating now for her.
"I'm glad as well. I've never needed you more, than I do now. I just wish to remain here and never let you go."
Laurelin's eyes opened to see nothing. It was all black and it was all blurry. As her voice spoke in much of a soft whisper to his words. Feeling the embrace around her keeping her together. Smiled softly at how homely it was. How quiet and soothing it was. Allowing her heart to crumble as it wished. Helped ease the pain as it came at her in shot after shot. Otherwise she'd half expect she'd b upon this rock in million of pieces with no hell in putting them together. Though with Oliver here, she could feel him keeping these pieces in place and held on to those that couldn't help than to fall away, saving them for later when she could take them back. She was trying to settle in a more settled pace. She wanted to try and deal with this. Only she had no clue how to. She was just glad she wasn't alone. Laurelin ached in pain as Oliver pulled away to give her a look as she tagged him. Perhaps he was serious. Perhaps she had underrated his devotion. He didn't wish for her to try and make it better or figure it out. He seemed to want to do it himself. Let her fall and keep falling, knowing he was there to catch her. That she didn't need to fear these places Laureling felt in the deep corners of her mind, thinking she could never return from, but with the firm touch under her hand. She knew he was here to bring her back. He saw a young girl, needing to be loved. To be taken care of. In need of him. She was in ways still at the brink of being a woman and now with the world at her feet. So easily she could trip and fall. It was scary. It was overwhelming. She barely knew whether she was ready but it was that thing, she wasn't sure she'd ever be ready for this.
Felt the gentle thumb upon her cheek catching her tears. She couldn't help than to smile. For Oliver was here. It caused more tears to flow. So many mixed tears it was hard to balance it all, but she wanted to feel all she could for Oliver. She could see now he was ready for her to fall. It sparked something as he touched her skin. Set her heart to thudded and weep. His words set a few things within her. She had just made this choice and he sort to tell her it had been wrong. She should of left. It caused more tears. As it only set to make it worse. As she knew she made the right choice, but still that second thought not really believing it. Her mouth set out dry as she couldn't help than to burst out as he said she should have gone. There was a part that agreed, though a part just, well it was too late and no she shouldn't of. The confusion. Only thing not confusing was Oliver. With the small burst, it settled a little as her hand moved for her tears. So not to bubble to much in the mess. As she turned her head upwards. He really didn't know. She couldn't half blame him for not knowing. Somewhere within in this hold and in his eyes, she felt he knew. He was just not paying attention towards it. Had she had told him before she had decided and allowed him to help her choose. She knew he would have said the same. To go with her parents, whether it was truly in his heart or not. When in truth Laurelin would have wanted him to beg her to stay. He didn't need to speak it. She knew he needed her.
"I also need you, Oliver... I... I couldn't leave you. The thought of losing my parents breaks my heart, but the thought of walking away from all this, shatters me completely. I fell in love with that boy below the hill. How could I ever turn away from him? Does he not need me? Would he truly have me set sail without a second thought? I couldn't face missing you that much." Laurelin's voice remained soft as she spoke of needing him. She couldn't leave him. She couldn't lose Oliver for good. Let him know the reason for her choosing. Her eyes softened as she looked up at him. Her lips smiled faintly as she remembered when she found him. As her hand moved to his face, her fingers brushing the hair away from his face. As he was looking down upon her. As she spoke of this boy, who she saw looking back at her still. Couldn't help through her heart breaking and her tears. She couldn't help the faint smiles, her heart trying to thud. She couldn't help the falling in love as much as she couldn't help the falling apart. Did he truly wish her to sail away? From the embrace around her, she begged this to be her answer. Could he live without her? Her eyes squinted, it brought tears at such a thought if could. For she could not. She wouldn't and couldn't have missed him to that extent, and live to tell the tale of it. She'd much rather to jump of this cliff minus the water below, than to face this world without him, than to break his heart and cause him to miss her.

"Really? I was only joking about you being scared of the big bad. If you are we can refrain from swimming or just watch me swim... Though if I sink you may need to paddle me to shore.... Oh, don't look so shocked, you should be expecting it. There was once a time you wouldn't of hesitated at the paddling."
Laurelin found his words somewhat amusing. He generally wasn't the scared type. As she moved her head to the side, as she tried to stop a laugh, but couldn't. Oh no, he wasn't getting out of this one. She knew him and water quite well. She dipped her head and shook it. After all this time, she would have thought he was still on the so called edge. Where Laurelin just simply thought it living and experiencing life. Who knows? She may drop dead any second, she might as well do what she felt like. Only when it concerned her was when it would hurt or effect someone else. As her voice spoke light hearted to him about this newly discovered fear she was almost tempted to make sure it was rid of. Not that Laurelin wasn't scared, she just liked facing them. Her fears and it was always a thrill along side Oliver. She could always push him, her eyes shifted off. We'll see, she gathered. Toying at him that if something were to happen there maybe no choice but to come in and save her. Joking about him paddling through the water, he can swim. Though couldn't help also referring to the other kind of paddling, she teased him.
It had much been a world apart even from Oliver. He barely knew, but Laurelin did her best to keep him informed somewhat. Only thing Laurelin saw and experienced so much. It was much where to start. As she sat across from her beloved Oliver. She couldn't help than to smile. To be overjoyed by his laughter at her ears. It was a sound she very much liked to keep going. What ever happened and what ever scars remained, and there were scars. Something like that never leaves someone. She just couldn't be more glad to be in a place like this with Oliver. For in the end he was there for her and that's all that mattered to her. He made a mistake and it was not his fault. She knew the feeling, she knew what and why he felt it. This was neither her fault or his. Her mouth grinned as he picked up the arrowhead out of bone. Well, it was rather hard not to collect them. They were easier than one would imagine to come by, then hardly anyone travelled like the gypsies and hunted like she did. Where Laurelin was skilled with a bow, her art was defiantly in the spear. Well, both really. She wasn't about to challenge Oliver's skills. She knew the tricks she gave him, she grinned again. He was brilliant with a bow even before she ever met him, she half expected he was born with a bow in hand. His poor mother. Well, Laurelin knew half of his so called bad behaviour he learned from her. It just made Laurelin laugh. She was used to people misjudging her. Oliver knew what he was doing. He was simply living. Wild? no. Free! Laurelin smiled softly as he took his gifts, to see the little glimmer of joy in his eyes as if a little boy opening a christmas present this was why she kept collecting them for him. That she could know he would be smiling even without her there. Well and laughing. She motioned her finger to the arrowhead he was holding and pointed to the tiny markings on it.
"You see those markings, Anglo. You know you'd be surprised what you find under water. I also found this one there as well its more tribal, you see how its worn. I say a battle took place there. You maybe holding on to a piece of history. The third one I've not seen its kind before. Have you? There were bits of ruins must have been a fallen kingdom. It has the make of royalty, but almost seems ancient though the bits of ruins I saw seem rather new. I thought I knew these lands, but it seems even to me there are still secrets to be found... I plan to return sometime and look around a little more. If your life isn't so busy, you should meet me there. Help solve the mystery."
Laurelin gushed about the arrowheads as her finger pointed one after the other. Telling him a little about where she found them. Just sort of letting him know a little of her adventures as her voice heightened as she spoke. It was rather fun finding these even if they more found her as she didn't really look for them. The third was something Laurelin hadn't quite seen before. It had that touch of royalty, that fineness to it, but it had a dated feel to it. It had quality about it, though also a touch of mystery. She expressed an invitation to meet her at this place, it be nice to explore again with him before his life settled to much away from her. He could help keep her out of danger she smiled for danger generally was created by her.
"OH... Oliver. Yes, I do. Now take me away in those chariots and we can live in a house made of ginger. Wait? What was it again? What was the house you were gonna build us when we were kids? If I remember correctly it was eatable, so we'd never go hungry. Or was it a castle? I think we settled on house at the end oh and by the sea and plenty of forest behind., in a far away land all our own... Perhaps in our next life, our far away land will be waiting. Do you promise to wait for me?... Though really Oliver its beautiful, thank-you. I don't know how a girl got to be so lucky... Where did you get it? But truth be known Oliver, your all the gift I would ever need. Seeing you now, this is the real gift. I will treasure forever, you know it, boy. Now where's our drinks? If your going down, I'm coming with you. Well thats if you can handle being beat by a girl again. You never learn Ollie."
So this be around when one realises Laurelin can talk alot. Especially with Oliver. As he pulled out the stone from his pocket after all the pickup lines, hid her in the corner and buying her dinner. Just minus the ring and it was half way there. Laurelin smiled and took this in a light hearted direction. Trying to cheer Oliver up with her weirdness to others, but she knew Oliver found it endearing. As fantasied about what they dreamed and promised as kids. It had been changed over several times and things added over the years. She still remembered well most of it. It was a time of innocences and a time they had nothing to worry about other than growing up. Apparently dreaming of a land all their own. A place where Laurelin would have the sea and the land to share with Oliver. They always had that underlining and unspoken promise of never leaving one another. That in the end they'd be forever. Their friendship would always keep them together minus the childish parts, Laurelin still believed it to be true. What ever happened after she died, she knew some how she'd find Oliver. Or he'd find her. Then retreated her tone to more realism as she truly thanked him for the stone. Blue like the sea. Made her eyes twinkle at the sight. The devotion he had for her. The love was always there. She did not wait 4 hims to give it. Her fingers took the stone from his hand. Held it. Asked where it was from? Then placed the stone down and made sure he knew he was the real gift. As he said he hadn't much to give her and that was lie. He had plenty n it was him. She smiled. Her hand rubbed his own, she would give up any and probably everything for him. Nothing was worth more than him. Nothing. For get the magical crown on his head. She saw a halo in its place. A rather tainted Halo at times, but it just added character, she smiled brighter. Then figured this was getting a little too soft and asked for the drinks. When Laurelin needed to play, she could play.
Here it was the heart to heart. So much coming at once. Laurelin just sat in interest and listened. There was a lot to take in. Laurelin thought perhaps a drink would be nice, no wonder why it was troubling him. To bottle all this up. Though she couldn't help but smile. He wasn't troubled. He was smitten. She could imagine the confusion. Such feelings came with a long list of confusion. Oliver was possibly falling and by the sounds in no way of stopping it. There was that little spring of jealousy. Not so much about it being another girl, but Oliver maybe setting down to a more desire to settle. Laurelin always knew there was a chance. That his life would find a totally different direction. Even though she sensed it would lead him more away from her, she couldn't stop it. She could see the shear joy bedded in his words. Nay his expression when he thought of this girl and how she made him feel. All Laurelin ever feared was losing him for good. Though she would never admit to him these things. He knew she missed him, but he didn't know how much she actually missed him. How much she wished he'd come with her. It was selfish which was why she never voiced it. She was sure he knew in a way. Though his happiness meant the most. She laughed softly in between his wordings and expressions. Her eyes watered from bits here and there. They even sprang a faint tear in which her hand quickly caught it. As she leaned back. As her mouth opened in awe. Her breath taken and her mouth rather speechless.
"Sounds like it was love at first shot... Wow, Oliver. I think your in love. I've never seen you in such a state. So what is her name? That you played cupid with?... It sounds to me you both just overreacted, if she feels half as you do, I'd say she's just as confused as you are. If you really do love her. Then it shouldn't matter who she is? Or where she is from? Or even what she has done? The question you need to ask is, do you love her? I see no prince before me now. I see only you, Oliver. What's inside should be what counts. I half imagine all you should be doing is showing her who you are. She's put up a wall you say. Well a wall can come down. You are perfectly special Oliver, I should know. You gave me peace Oliver and I'd like to think I gave you the same in return. So maybe its the same now. You have to give in order to get, Oliver. Love generally finds a way, so try and enjoy this Oliver. You only live once, like I always say to make each day count. Love it doesn't come around a lot, embrace and take it when you can, but allow her time to see for herself. It wouldn't be fun having love only one sided."
Now as Laurelin gushed on. In a rather joyful tone. She was pleased it was more Oliver was more happy, just so happy it hurt and well confused. She rambled on. Love advice just wasn't something she was use to. She tried to make sense for him. She knew he needed this what she could offer. Hopefully he could take something out of this and use it. It be fine she knew it. He was sounding like he and this woman were just overreacting. Then fell back firmer in her seating, rather exhausted by all these words, but she was just trying to help. How ever she could. Knowing she probably maybe made him think even more now. She laughed. Hopefully he could forgive her. Perhaps he was better at this than he thought. Understood it better than she did.
"I think I need that drink now. Not everyday I spill the ways of love... Don't let it trouble you so much. Besides you know no matter what happens you've got me. I may not hold the great love, but I still and will always love you Oliver. So know your special to someone. If for some reason she can't see you for who you are. Then it's her lose. Don't lose who you are. We age and we change, but she's gotta accept you for you. Don't change for her. Change for you. Just be there for her and allow her to be there for you, if she so desires. That's love to me, to just be there."

Her eyes ran over him in wonder at his chuckle. Moving her head a little to the side and her eyes squinted. Trying to figure this man out. Before escaping her own faint laugh as her eyes dropped for a moment. He was the more timid kind, which Laurelin always knew wasn't a bad thing. It only meant when they had something to say it was important and something special would be at the end of it. Her words had caused him to maybe blush a little. All Laurelin could do was smile. She didn't see this as a bad thing, it was rather quite well him. She liked it. It meant he was like a flower that slowly opened, so Laurelin was left seeing each petal in all its glory. It may take a little extra time, but it would be worth it in the end. Because she would then see him. The gift that he could quite be.
All she could do was look up at him with a wandering gaze. As he soaked up her last words. Although he was still rather something with the wet clothes on. She smiled as he worked up his words. Not smiling so much to make him more uncomfortable, but to feel more secure with her. He had risked his life, he was entitled to be himself before her however much he wished to show. Though she couldn't deny would have been a pleasing sight to be seen, but then it was maybe like the petals he had inside. Just go slowly. She couldn't help smiling at the fact for some reason she woke to him. Perhaps she was still dreaming. It would make sense, generally this sight doesn't come out of the water and create such a movement. Or well lack of movement. Laurelin slightly blushed, she wasn't about to move off so quickly. Not from this sight. All she could do was see him. Who ever he was?
"Of course, but you would not offend me if you change your mind... The sun does seem to be lovely today, don't you think?"
Laurelin agreed with him, though assured him the offer was always there. Trying not to sound she had her eyes at the ready if he did change his mind, Laurelin blushed. Maybe a tad. Mentioning the fine sun as he spoke of drying off. It was a beautiful sunny morning. So perhaps he was right. As Laurelin leaned back her hands catching behind as her head leaned back and embraced the sun over her own wet skin. This was much better on bare skin, but she wasn't so sure he was even ready for her to take her clothes off let alone his own. As her lips smiled at the thought. Smirked a little as she was sure she'd barely get words out then. Then he moved lower to the ground and Laurelin's heart raced. Her head came to look upon him. She hadn't expected the movement, but she sure wasn't complaining. All Laurelin could do was keep looking. Causing her only little rush of tingles. She was getting the feeling she was not someone he probably met before. Laurelin smiled as she wanted to know who were these people that seemed so in line. Whatever the reason she quite liked him. She found it easy enough to talk given a right reason to. He had risked his life when he didn't need to, he was rather gentle and yet as her eyes ran over his arms was strong. Though watching him as he was amused by her words and even her actions. She could see a hint of something else inside. She wasn't so sure he was so much hiding, just cautious. Felt her toes curl within his boots. As if she could feel that bit closer since wearing something that belonged to him. As her eyes kept upon him unable to stop it. As her hand toyed at her hair in twirls with a simple smile as she didn't want him to stop whatever he was doing. She liked his smile and she liked his laugh. It was rather infectious. Her heart thudded with his name now at her ears. Which a huge grin soon fled her mouth. She suddenly felt he was defiantly a friend now. As her lips turned into a more simple yet pleased smile. As he then spoke her own name, which just sounded somewhat different from his mouth. Just very sweet. As her eyes shone from his words. As she motioned in a more easier seating so she could reach for his hand without hesitation. Feeling her tiny hand being lost in his rather oversized hand, caused a rush in her body. Sure he felt it escape up her arm and fly to her cheeks. Her eyes was able to see his own closer, his smile. Yeah, this was defiantly not a dream. She could feel him now. If these hands had caught her, she wouldn't of complained. She was almost tempted to re-enact so he could. Smiling softly as she wouldn't do that to him.
Laurelin soon forgot her hand, simply whenever he wished to let go as she was in no hurry to take it back. She smiled as he seemed unsure again by her words. There was a good chance he was catching her now, who knows? She couldn't play to much on whether she would have had any chance to meet him other than him rescuing her or well attempting to. Would he have paid her attention anyways? It was not in her to dwell on such things. She was with him now. In ways of being caught up. Causing him to wonder why she asked such things. Why she offered such a glance? Because she liked him. She hardly knew why, but she did. Save he was the reason. She tilted her head again as asked her these things about her health. Knowing there was really nothing wrong, but still it was this notion she was liking. With this all he wasn't aiming to head off just yet, so there was something here he liked, maybe? Laurelin smiled and motioned her hands to his boot and removed one. Where her foot she had cut. It wasn't bad, but she wasn't giving up the chance for him to attend to it. Not with those hands.
"The pleasure is mine, Percival. Did you come out here to runaway? I can lend aid in that... I am mostly unharmed I believe. Though I did step on that rock over there. If you care to slay the rock and make the pain go away, I won't object... I do believe the rest of me is ok, but if you wanna make sure go ahead. Actually I think my back is a little sore... Though then what about you? Are you hurt? I can lend aid if you like."
Laurelin responded pleasantly. Liked the feel of his name upon her spanish tongue. She sure repeated it over in her head. She couldn't help but wonder why he was out here. He didn't seem the gypsy type or one that lingered out for too long. Not that she was calling him scared. Laurelin put out her foot where there a small drop of blood on her heel. It barely hurt, but she wasn't about to miss this chance. Laurelin was least light hearted about it as she pointed to the rock which caused it. She would be interested to see if he aids at her foot. She didn't feel sore anywhere else, but when she said that she knew she needed to extend a little hope. Not entirely bluffing as her hand motioned to her back. She then realised he had risked his life. As Laurelin then motioned on her hands and crawled a little towards him. As she motioned her hands to check he was unarmed. Perhaps his shoulders. As her hand then moved to his upper arm. His muscle. Her hand wished to remain here for a little while.
"WOW!"
Laurelin only managed to express. It really just slipped out and she retreated her glance and stare of his muscle. As her hand motioned at how impressive it was. Coyly slightly realising how uncomfortable this may be for him. Laurelin smiled softly, but she wasn't about to forget that. Though she was liking this extra closeness. She remained her hand upon his arm just lightly. She couldn't manage to completely lose it. As she flinched at her foot being bumped upon her other one with the boot. She very much despite that accident rather loved his boots. They felt much like his hands upon her own. Like a nice warm hug, but they weren't something she'd easily walk in. It was so beautiful as he sort to fix this. Even if she hadn't had shoes before. She just looked at him in awe for some moments. She had hardly expected it to have come out of his mouth. She tilted her head. How many petals was that? It was very endearing either way. The main thing that rang in her mind was it meant he was coming with her. Though smiled for she wasn't sure she's ever had such an offer.
"I've never had shoes before. I don't know what to say. I wow, nor have such an offer to steal them for me. I cannot say no to such an offer if you wish to give it. Are you hungry? I've not eaten yet, would you want to hunt first or after? I will miss your boots, but they belong to you... Gracias, Percival."
Laurelin expressed to him shoes just wasn't a part of her life. She had survived this long with out them, proving she hadn't needed them, but she was just overly touched that he offered. It seemed so odd and foreign to her. If he's offering she figured it worth a shot. Especially if its Percival's doing. Though really any excuse to have him not leave so quickly she was up for. As she smiled. Her hand lingering to touch him and just feel in his presence. She would be rather content to just stay here and oh, enjoy the sunshine. Then her stomach talked. She had forgotten to eat since she had just woken up not many moments ago. Laurelin asked kindly assuming as hunting was the norm for her in ways of food. Though these talks of these new shoes. Meant the giving up of his boots. As her hands motioned reluctantly to remove the other one. She couldn't really use them, but she sure like the feeling of her toes inside them. He need them. His feet weren't as tough as hers. She put it down to. As with a bright smile with her cheeks pink. Handed his boots back to him. As her eyes sort to his that were so close and yet so far away. Then she thanked him kindly in her tongue. For the boots, for the new shoes and for everything else. That he merely did not have to do, but did it anyways. Whom made it almost impossible for her to put her eyes anywhere else.

It suddenly felt like a trip back in time. No. Another world. It had always been their own, when ever they found an excuse to meet up. Though as she beamed of a smile at him, she hardly saw an excuse. Wasn't he the excuse? Laurelin blushed as her eyes moved away. There was his own ray. An awe about him, that she could not find a reason not to like him. Her eyes drifted off. As he sure had given her moments that weren't as flattering as this one, but she could never give up on him. As he never gave up on her. Sure he made mistakes. Laurelin could barely shake her head, as she had made her own. It was about rising above their mistakes and just finding the foothold that seemed to keep them together. It was hard to describe him other than he was special. Laurelin can smile now, even if she barely understand it, but she felt the exact same way when she first saw him. Her eyes fluttered and her lips smirked. For she knew Oliver probably hit her for thinking of it, but it was possible he was her guardian angel if such things exist. Her head looked down amused, as she couldn't quite picture him with wings, but he was just as beautiful. She would just be careful not to say it. Rolling her eyes, she was not about to start worshipping him. She was sure Oliver would have a field day with that. No, all Laurelin could do was be the friend she always knew she was. All this world to Laurelin felt mostly like strangers, in all these faces it always seemed to be Oliver's she knew.
Even now as he looked upon her. It beamed her how seemed to brighten him up. She didn't so much speak of it, but she could sense the lack of extra spark in his eyes as her arms made to hug him. Though she smiled brightly. She was happy and over joyed to see him after so long. Perhaps this long distance helped. She wasn't wishing to take anymore, only what she could get. She didn't need him every inch of her day. She didn't need to see him. For the friendship to last. Though it did feel nice to touch him once again. It felt like a reunion every time. Seeing the boy she knew she could never turn away from. She felt warm and she felt safe. Oliver was that sense of a home, Laurelin didn't want ruined if she over stepped her stay. So moments like these would always be what they were. As she grinned as Oliver tried to hide his own. Watching being displeased with his response. Teasing her of course. Laurelin just grinned more. He was utterly a child and Laurelin still adored this child. She joked in her head. As arms then withdrew from his neck. As her eyes came to meet his own.
"Oh your spending the night, Oliver? Apparently the waters are unfit for children, perhaps you will need protection tonight, as I take it your joining me for a swim?"
Laurelin couldn't help to point out him spending the night. She knew he was jokingly flirting with her. Though she teased him back, she knew what spending the night meant. She smiled. He just liked messing with her. She hardly expect there be much sleeping involved in which amused her more at the thought. Wishing to punch him for making it sound such a thing, but thankful. He was just helping it all feel like they never left. She just knew there be a lot of talking probably. Probably collapse by the water. Laurelin teased him back as she compared him to a child, which wasn't so hard to do. As her eyes ran over him amused. There were moments when this child could be a brat, then times when he was utterly charming. Either way amused her. As she asked about him joining her. She figured as much as it generally was swimming involved. Laurelin just liked water, it reminded her of her parents and just also forget for a moment in time. Only Oliver she was sure understood.
Laurelin was utterly pleased he was here. Then his teasing her cut off and pulled her in his arms. She couldn't help than laugh in response to his own laughter. He knew all he needed to do was hug her and it make everything ok. Her cheeks ran red and her body tingled. She felt so safe in these arms. Not surprised he tightened the grip. It made it a little difficult to breathe, but she hardly could complain. It had been so long since the last one. It always reminded her of when he hugged her and when she had so needed it. It seems unimportant to others, but it was in that moment anything Oliver did, she would always forgive him. She loved him before, but in that dire moment. When everything seemed at the brink to her young mind, he was there no questions asked. It was in ways siblings. Sure Laurelin has fought with Oliver, but it was out of love. No relationship or friendship would be so easy sailing, but it didn't make it not worth it. A friendship like this needed to be fought for. She was just so happy he was here. Her arms around him tightly as well. Felt his lips upon her forehead and made her smile even brighter. Forget any greater love. This was love to her. She hardly had it in her life these past years. It was mostly Laurelin. She overly enjoyed living on her own, but it does get lonely. It is nice to know there is someone that knows her and cares for her no matter what.
Laurelin beamed up at him as he smiled himself. She liked when he smiled. It was made up of sun and all the jewels in the world. Her hands held his hand. Her own face soon faded. As her brown eyes scanned him. What as her words changed him? She hadn't wished for it to be true, but there was something up. Something just not right. He almost looked sad and she knew it wasn't her doing. Before she could muster any response, her hand was taken and led. If there was anything about these two. It was stubborn. Laurelin softly laughed to herself. For he didn't ask to take her, he just took her. As when Laurelin would do the same. Though with her free hand had to rub her ribs a little after having her breath taken away for some short moments. Before Laurelin knew it. She was placed in a corner with Oliver. Really? Next she was expecting him teasing her with another pick up line. Then rolled her eyes as she found her seating opposite to him as well it was almost a pick up line. As Laurelin bumped him under the table with her foot. Not hard. It was amusing he then ended with if she wanted to eat. Generally he would keep at it until she ate. Perhaps it was payback from when she made him eat all that food when she met him and ended up having to rub his stomach. She could hardly see where the food went, still hardly any fat on him.
"Sure I'll eat if its on you. I'll have the same... So what you came here to drown them all away? I would half imagine the problem would still be there in the morning. So best face this Oliver, I'm here. So we can face it together. Tell me what's troubling you?... As i am too see you. Despite what's lacking in your eyes, you seem in good health? Least for now. Oh, I have something for you... You must have been extra special."
Laurelin agreed on the food and drink. See if she'll be able to hold it. She figured she was better at control. Plus he was paying. She could hardly find coin to pay for it herself, so she sure jump at the chance and promise not to take advantage of the offer. She just wouldn't be surprised they steal each other's food. She could shrug seemed the norm for her. What's his is hers. And what's hers is his. Laurelin smiled. Could just be like a picnic in the bar, just a very different scenery around them. Laurelin responded to his words and confronted him. So he sort to kill all these with drinks. Laurelin could shake her head, she would expect it wouldn't solve much. Reaching out her hand to his. Knowing she was here. What ever was troubling him? He no longer needed to face it alone. Laurelin smiled as her eyes softened. Wishing to rub his hand and wish it all better. As from what she saw he was in good health, she wasn't sure anything could be worse than if he wasn't in good health. Though just after saying it, she sat back as her eyes met with the bar and drinks. If he was planning a long night of them, she might have to end up carrying him to bed. Her smile faded a little at the thought of him seeking this to help him, but quickly smiled. As she was here now and did have a present for him. In fact three of them. It wouldn't make things better, she knew, but it would be a nice change to give these in person. As her hand motioned within her outfit and pulled out three arrowheads. Each different. She had placed them safely without them killing her. Now they were Oliver's as she placed them on the table before him. Right there were tales of her own. As she smiled.

The rhythm was sent coursing through the tavern, through the night. A place that was almost in its own little world for a short moment in time. That most will forget when their heads come back around by morning. It caused her hips to sway to the beat of the cultural music that seemed so much like breathing. As it was something her kind did. Made music, sang and danced. Tell stories. They were a creative bunch always having a need to express themselves how ever way it could be. For Laurelin. It was in moments like these. Where the music fled through her veins. Sang to her heart and caused it to beat harder. Her moves weren't overly planned. It was mere feel and sway of the music within that drove her. Her eyes rang over the people. Not seeing a face she knew. Which didn't scare her so much. They generally were entertained or to invested in their drinks. Laurelin could be forgiven that her eyes did not take heed that she didn't see one face she did know. As her hair caught around her eyes unable to spot him so easily. Flipped her hair before a turn of her seductive sway of her hips. The energetic roll of her torso. As moved through the music. Her spanish heart leading her through it all before her last move of her hips. That never lie. Her hands pushing away from her chest as her hips worked at the beat of the drums. As her tongue rolled around the 'Ratata'. Worked herself up, not overly worn out. Just more pumped if anything. Exhilarated.
So she motioned to a seat at the bar. Soaking in the room. Letting her heart settle and catch her breath. Crossed her rather bare legs. Her now frazzled blonde hair wrapped around her shoulders. Her fingers toying slightly at the knots here and there, but failing in between. So she gave up. Her feet were bare as always. However they stayed clean was probably hopeful thinking. Perhaps a late swim tonight amongst the crickets. It could be a keen thing despite what she had heard these folk hinting to their children of the big bad hiding in the water at night. Laurelin was yet to be bitten by anything other than a fish here or two. That generally just tickled her toes. Generally a risk Laurelin would take, but merely swimming in a gentle pool, was harmless to her. Her dress was around mid thigh. Thin straps. Fringe. Her wrists with a few mix bangles. Oh and that one thing. As Laurelin's hand made to her chest. To the cross at her neck. Caressed the cool metal and the cord that kept it in place. Her eyes dropped to the table in thought. As it was a day filled with so much. So much loss. So much to gain. Where her parents were now? Laurelin could only guess at. Even though she still missed them, she was glad she had decided to stay. Things were more complicated when she was younger, but what her parents had said. Made more sense now days. Though as her eyes met with figures nearby. Feeling so dead in the centre and so out of the circle at the same time. As her hand toyed at the cord. As her other hand etched at the table. Remembering always seemed to bring her a smile. She missed him day by day. Even would wish he could be right here. Though he had his own life. As Laurelin had her own. Laurelin was no longer the small child that had held his finger. Aided him to better health. They had grown up. Where they still held a place within each other, the spark had not so much gone, it just changed. Where there had been complications from when things had deepened. There wasn't anymore. For Laurelin had put that in the past and now they were still just friends. Her eyes twinkled with a soft tear with a smile. He would always be her best friend. Who she could turn to! She just couldn't live in a world where he didn't exist. He was her family and she was sure she reminded him of that. Wasn't it about time for their yearly visit. Laurelin usually came early to surprise him and yet. It never worked. He was always one step ahead of her. Meeting her before she could even beam a smile. She wasn't sure why she was thinking of Oliver now. Though it wasn't as if it didn't happen often. Usually it was random, even if there was nothing random about him. They had a friendship that she knew was hard to explain. Even though her gypsy friend told her otherwise that Laurelin was just trapped. That she still was head over heels for him. Laurelin could laugh, so she was in a way always head over heals for Oliver, he brought her so much joy simply for caring. She knew the man he was. Laurelin could laugh as it was something to say. Oliver is a man. When she could so easily remember when he was not quite a man, but a boy. Who ever the girl be? If Oliver ever found the settlement, Laurelin only prayed she'd take care of Oliver. To truly cherish what was always inside Oliver. The girl would be the lucky one. Laurelin sort no jealousy. The only jealousy she ever laid towards Oliver is if she never got to see him again. Her eyes moved down. She always wondered had this been the main reason she sort such love and devotion out of him. That she was merely latching on because she feared he'd leave her for good, as her parents had. She always expected it so.
As her hand toyed at what was so precious around her neck. Lost in a small reminder of her friend. Of emotions she now understood. Came a voice behind her. Perhaps she had been so dazed. Who knows how many had spoken to her and she didn't hear them? Yet, least with this one. She did hear. It caused the frowning of her eyes slightly. Wondering why it was so familiar. Why was her heart now beating towards it? Why did her lips smile, in such a way? Her toes curled. Perhaps it was just somethings were more in tune wheres as the rest was merely catching up. Feeling as if the front door was a mere foot step away. She merely had to put out her hand and she was home. He knew the words to say. As Laurelin turned. For the most part she had already knew it was Oliver. It was always that needing to see him and be real real. She shook her head with a soft laugh. Foolish how many times she had thought he was nearby, but it was just a faceless shadow when she turned. Or someone she thought looked like him. It didn't happen a lot. It had happened more when she needed him. Or she merely missed his company. Her other half. Almost like a brother.
Laurelin beamed to see him. Yep, she felt the arrow deep in her own chest. As he hooked her with his smile. She had to have known it was Oliver from what had come out of his mouth. It wasn't as if Laurelin had ever said no before. She laughed. When ever he needed her. He needed to simply follow the bread crumbs. Yep as she felt the digging of his mighty arrow, she had no choice. Only it was always her only choice. Where had he been? Why was he here? OH. Laurelin gasped. Had he followed her. She squinted. She doubted it, but maybe he did without realising he had. Really what ever the reason. She did not mind. He was here. But her mind rang with so many questions. There had to be a ton for him to spill upon her. She sure could spin him a few tales. Before just falling into a belly fall of laughs and roll along the grass, as it always seemed to end up as. Then her lips smiled more warmly. Perhaps if he was in no hurry to be anywhere. He could come play protector from the big bad fish. It was only fair if he snuck up on her after the dance instead of joining in. She could have used an extra hand. She laughed. She could least drag him off and dunk him in the deep water. Letting out more laughs. As she knew Oliver knew she was thinking up childish thoughts. That now they were sucked into their own world again. Even though in the tavern, in the city. She suddenly felt completely elsewhere. The wind hadn't come so much of a calling. She could use him for tomorrow or however long she could get him to stay. It had been so long. Laurelin expected this was going to be an all night thing... She was pleased Oliver was happy to see her. She half rolled her eyes. Why wouldn't he be. Though there was something else. Something hanging at his chest. His tongue needing to be unleashed. Laurelin didn't know if something was wrong, but she knew when Oliver needed her. Needed her more than when he had simply missed her. She maybe much out of his life, but she was still very much someone that truly knew who he was. She half expected she knew him better than he did, but she wasn't one to rub that in. Well, on occasion. As he claimed he knew her better than herself and Laurelin was too stubborn to agree. Who's one to call Oliver, Stubborn? Laurelin looked over him. Ah. Yep. She felt as if they had never been parted. Two peas back in the pod.
"Halo Ollie"
There was time to gush. Her ears were his own. Her heart well. As one can see, already struck by his arrow. When ever he left. Remained the hole, until she saw him again. Laurelin uncrossed her legs. She couldn't bare it. There was so much excitement. So much joy to be taking in. She merely wanted to keep blinking. To keep staring at him and watch him never disappear. Though the space was killing her. Tackle was maybe not quite what she had in mind. A kick for sure. Why did this have to be such a long wait? Again, they can't be a stubborn bunch? If they were, Laurelin was happy to be stubborn together. She smiled again and it wasn't long she was on her feet. Not caring the floor was uneven and a cause for a blister may happen. She'd easily trample over glass and coal to get to him. As her arms motioned around him. She was still tiny, but she always managed to reach him. Felt her arms make to go around his shoulders. As her cheek rested upon his own. She could simply remain in his hug. It reminded her of when he hugged her before. When she had needed him the most. She would never forget it. She felt Oliver needing it more tonight. So she lingered him in the embrace how ever long she could. She wasn't reminded of any deeper thing they had from the mere closeness. She always felt comfortable with Oliver. She was sure she never truly loved him in such a way. Only that she had thought that's what she thought she had to do, in order to make him never truly run away from her. Though she was blessed to have been given the moments. Despite the rough patches. It had given her some peace when she had needed it so much. It made her see Oliver in such a different way. She would always love him. She would always care for him. She just didn't want to settle with him. She was content with the homely feeling whenever she could get it. Though she missed Oliver. It wasn't totally unbearable. Besides. It was also what Oliver wanted. Whether he knew it or not.
She felt the comfort within him. She was home for the night. She retreated a little. As her lips motioned to his cheek with a soft kiss. Before retreating as her eyes looked to him as if he had just restored her to life. As she smiled up at him. Her hand ran over his cheek. He really was real. As her hand toyed at the hair that escaped in his eyes. Brushed them away. She still couldn't imagine he would grow up in such a state. That she could still be seeing the boy that needed her so vividly. He was so beautiful and precious then. He was even more so now. Oh, she just wanted him to wrap her in his arms. Like he always had. She always liked Oliver's hugs. She would suddenly feel safe. Oh and then was the times he'd hug to tightly. Because it had been such a long wait. And her feet would be lifted off the ground. Almost begging him to stop, but really she didn't want to. Oh and when he tickled her. Yeah, that she had to try and avoid. Before her laughs turned into hiccups. She'd end up punching him, asking why. Then he'd scare her and they'd be healed. Her saviour. She smiled to him as she would never forget any of it. She was happy to have experienced the bad in order to be given such goodness. Most defiantly and she hardly expected to have done it any differently.
"And you know a gypsy doesn't make agreements. Only promises, I promise to you Oliver... Why for the sudden need to sneak up on me? Your hardly scary Oliver... You were always a big baby, not a bully. Whom I have missed! Any day or night you seek, its yours Ollie, you know it. I am yours. Now tell me tales. You can never hide from me, Oliver."
Laurelin remarked his lame attempt of acting so big and burly. A thug? Please? The only crime he's guilty of was stealing some women's hearts. Thats not a crime that's infatuation. Besides its not as if those hearts didn't want to be stolen. She spoke heartedly. Referencing the so called traits of a gypsy. If only people knew, Gypsies were just that. People as well. Not so chucked into a box. Though it was true to say they didn't exactly agree to alot of things. Freedom, in ways. Though with Oliver, it was different. Though with him it was Laurelin's choice. It hadn't been something he had asked and she gave. She chose to promise him what she had. She never regretted it. For he never let her down. Well, not in the times that truly count. Even so. When she had felt he had let her down. Where she had been left alone to deal with it all. It wasn't his fault. It was her mistake to have fallen in the trap. Her stupidity to have thought she could exist in such a world, but she knew now it was not her place. It wasn't even really her fault. Still Oliver didn't know. It was Laurelin who just thought stupidly that he would just sense and know. Like most women do. But how is a man to know when one doesn't tell them. It was behind her now. She realised. Oliver had always been there. She was just stupid to not see for just how young she had been. She was too young to die. Too young to be so broken hearted. She wasn't the kind to live with such shards of her hearts. They mended. If anything Oliver helped piece them back together. It would have killed her more, to not be able to get to a place like this. This meant more. She was his now. As she then moved her hands to hold his own. Wished for him to tell her tales. Stories of where he has been and what has happened? She could give her own tales. His life always seemed so far away. She always loved hearing the tales. He was almost like 'The Emerald Archer'. Only minus the tights, maybe. Not that he wouldn't look good. No, she shook her head. With a laugh. She'd prefer him pants less than have him do that to himself. Her voice softened as he really couldn't hide from her. She knew when something was up. Apart from Nuri. Whom visited Oliver during the long absence to make sure he was alive. Still breathing and in no need to have his finger held. She wasn't sure whether to lead him to the seats. Or lead him elsewhere. She was his and she was happy to follow to wherever it may lead. Just as long she wasn't left behind without him warning her.

It was in the midst of the forest and the villages, that Laurelin felt most safe. It was in these larger community areas, where it heightened the heart muscles. Instead of turning her away so suddenly, it made Laurelin step these so called boundaries. There was hardly a place in the city for a gypsy let alone a woman of her kind. That's at least what they told her, but it really only made her take that extra step. Camelot. It was as if stepping into a big massive world of magic. Even if it had put magic to bed so to speak. Laurelin was speaking in terms of the other kind of magic, of course. She had barely even seen this kingdom from within. It was wondrous. Exciting. Taking heed she wasn't so welcome, but the local tavern. She had found her way to. Having the need to bite into the culture. The music. The flow in their veins. It seemed the one thing that could tie everything together and yet separate them all completely.
She had left the surrounding comforts of the Gypsy camp, somewhere on the outskirts of Camelot. Her dear friend had thought it not wise, Laurelin insisted and if she wanted to tag along she could. Laurelin smiled as her friend had that sense of wanting the freedom that Laurelin craved, only not as brave to take it. To be fair her friend was but 16, hardly a time to insist she see the world in these places. She had come in meetings with a rightly fellow that ran the tavern. Long story short, requested to perform at the tavern. Perform was an odd expression as Laurelin wasn't so fixed in her movements. Alot of it came from feel and flow of the moment. Still she couldn't take up the chance. She wanted to see more of this world she barely understood, but music she did. The night was a fresh one. Just that nice chill, but in the tavern was warm and inviting. Laurelin hadn't planned so much in the ways of an outfit. That sort of depended on the day and in ways night. Though for this evening, Laurelin bore a red short dress, some fringing or tassels. They moved when she moved.
The night had started out slow. The rounds of drinks filling the room. The music moving her hips. It was music more tied to a more spanish vibe, mixed for that more exotic sound. Clapped her hands above her head with a smile. As her moves began. The rhyme causing through her body. A lot of hips rolling, her shoulders and her belly dancing. Belly dancing was very much a ways of dancing for the gypsies. Her dress shaking along with the movements. Shaking her hair around as the music peaked. Her voice was pitched and shot with the rattling of her spanish tongue. As she sang in spanish. Feeling the room unable to understand the words so easily, but through the music they did and still was entertaining.
"Yo tengo pila y loco haciendo cola, Tengo a palomo metio en lio, Y yo te quiero atracao ahi, ratata"
Her voice took to the words of song she knew well and it still was fresh as the first day. It was exciting to feel the room hearing something almost for the first time. Gypsy wasn't something so easily understood nor accepted, but through moments like these made one feel rightfully human. This was fun. These were some of the places Laurelin liked to visit. Where cultures had more right to blend. Her torso rolled to the music. Her hands upon her hips as they shook and rolled. Her tongue rolling the words off her tongue. Laurelin didn't so much use the stage, she had started in one area and eventually went to using the rest of the room. Even had taken to as two knights were celebrating, though one shy. The other not so much. As Laurelin's hand was taken for a moment and she smiled. As he kissed her hand, blessing her for her talents. It could be forgiven as his hand had motioned elsewhere and his words were slurred. Drunk with a touch of a gentleman. Maybe. As Laurelin put his hand back in check and brought out her flute. She had made it herself. Her last one had broken in a haste, but the new one was just as useful for the creating of sound.
So her hands held the flute in a graceful enough way for a gypsy. As her lips made for the instrument and the tunes matched the music being played. Her body moving in zinc still with the sound. Not playing to any really rule. As she moved around how she could. Jumping. Dancing. Turning. Getting the room into the mood from the music. The laughs and cheers growing louder. As her hands held the flute she was still able to motion to dance. Set this room just right. It was going to be a long night. Her lips eventually ceased from her flute. As her mouth churned out more of the song.
"Oye papi, vuelveme loca Aruname la espalda y muerdeme la boca "
As her tongue rolled out the last bit of spanish. And her body finished her belly dancing shaking moves. She grinned and softly laughed. As the energy was high now. Where once was cold was not heat. Feeling her breath starting to relax and ease. Letting out a deep breath. That sure was fun. Causing the heart race and hopefully a ton of others. As her eyes looked around the room. Eyes were upon her, though not with much of a notion they even knew her. She wasn't something often seen, but most minds were so drunk it probably wasn't overly strange. As their eyes diverted back to their pints of ale. Her hand placed her flute upon her waist with a tie. Then rubbed the faint goosebumps on her arm. Causing the slight blushing of her cheeks. As she sure did enjoy that. After some of her songs and dances. She let for now settle. Mingle with new folk. Escape a little more in this night. As she motioned to bar. Took a seat as she greeted those interested, but noting they were either stand offish or just to drunk to take notice. Maybe she was just too out of this world. How was she to know?

There were shadows being cast. As the clouds passed over the sun above. Just faint shadows. Which Laurelin took no heed. Her body limb upon the rock she had broken down, upon. Feeling numb. Feeling all things she wasn't sure she had been so prepared to feel. There was that notion these were tears of a child and maybe they were. So be it. They would last and least Laurelin hoped they wouldn't. As her hand clutched at her heart. Having the need to just crash more and lay in a ball where she sat. She was just to lost to even contemplate any other movements. Still having that need to hold on to something... To Oliver. She. How was she supposed to make him understand all this. Was there even anything to understand. It was still hard for her even to really know. Her free hand made to her face, covering and catching her tears. That seemed to flow even through her hand. Unable to really catch them. As her heart leaped of too many things at once.
It wasn't until his voice came to her ears, that she was aware Oliver was actually there. At first it had been but a ghost. Feeling she was merely hearing what she wanted to hear. Had he really found her? As her hand released her face and was able to see him. Her eyes searched over his face. There was movement inside of her as he was here. Her eyes cried a little more, but there was a beam inside that he was here. That the one person she could turn to, was but an arms length. She knew as she watched his face. Merely the look in his eyes. She knew she had made the right choice. All this was worth it in someway. As Laurelin motioned her limb body to face him, but she still sat. Laurelin reached out her hand. Wishing to take hold of even a finger much like she had done once before. To be the one that needed him for this moment in time. Laurelin's eyes dropped. A faint smile with a hint of a weakness. As she needed him most of the time. It was why or at least part reason she stayed. Needing his arms. Needing for him to hold on to. As it was not helping trying to hold on to herself. It didn't seem so bold to simply feel she loved him. Laurelin always knew she had. Her brown eyes ran over his expression. For she felt it through it in him. He was always her family and in ways now her only family. Yes, someone she would miss if never saw again.
"Oh, Oliver... They're gone, across the seas... I couldn't go with them. I wouldn't... Please stay with me Oliver... I.. suddenly feel so lost. "
Laurelin though felt numb and somewhat lost. She was suddenly feeling at home. Now Oliver was but a touch away. Her body ran with needing him. His touch. His heart. His comfort. She simply wanted to rest upon him and let this pass. Somehow hope he'd make it all better. No. She just didn't want him to leave. She had lost her parents and in ways felt a part of herself. She just couldn't bare losing him. As her voice came in broken forms through her tears as her hand made out to hold his. Reach out to him. As her eyes looked she wasn't so sure Oliver knew at all what had happened. Her parents left, that was what happened. Wishing for her head to be placed upon his shoulder as her voice softened, as the crying had caused a lot out of her. As she asked him to stay. It was something she knew she didn't need to ask. Yet, she just needed him to know. As she catched her breath and the feel him so close. Eased her tears. A gut wrench broke here and there. Though for the most part her tears slowed. They flowed, just not as painful. As it was as if her heart was bleeding out. She just suddenly didn't quite know where she was. Where she was suppose to go. She was so free now and yet so lost. The only thing she knew. Was she felt comfort here with Oliver. She would have made the choice again and again. This was the reason. Because he was very much a part of her. She always felt he was her soul mate, something to do with more than just love. A place to feel safe and a place to turn to.
With his close tenderness and now the gentle soothing of the water behind. She was slowly more coming around. As her tears fell at a more bearable pace. It paid to take her mind off a little. As she sort to not seem so run down. Oliver was the little beam of light. As Laurelin realised he had found her. It brought a gentleness to her lips. When she needed him, he was always someone she could count on. In hoping now she was safely in his arms, Laurelin dug into this place she was happy to call home. As she motioned to direct it more towards the light. Try not be so sad, even though it was hard.
"TAG! How did you find me, Oliver? However, I am just pleased you did. Just don't run off on me, just yet. I surrender."
Laurelin laughed softly through her tears that bubbled and was caught in between her words. As she making an effort to sound more not so sad. Allowing the misery be not so serious. As the touch she realised he was now tagged. Her eyes played upon his with a gentleness. Her voice softened as she asked. Feeling her friend every much still beside her. Asked purely. As in the game of tag it had not been so easy for him, but for now she was speaking generally. She always knew he'd be able to find her. For Laurelin had a little more faith in him, than he gave her credit for. However he came to be here, Laurelin was just content that he had found her. Just toying as she didn't wish to play tag right about now. Although she was sure if he ran, she would have to find the energy to find him. She just surrendered to the here and now. As she wished to curl up to her friend. Be embedded by his embrace and just let these emotions pass.

It seemed so long ago and yet Laurelin remembered it vividly. The moment she had found her friend. This boy with such a need of freedom. She remembered the moment she had found him. Glad that she had come across him that day, though despite the reasoning. It seemed rather worth it, to get such a friendship out of it. It wasn't such a straight forward bond. It had started out as simple and quite new. No real clue as to where it would lead, but Laurelin knew he would play an important key in her life. Despite her lifestyle. Her need to be everywhere at different times. Laurelin never had the exact grounded feeling and with Oliver she caught glimpses of it. As if together they contrasted their two worlds. Offering something from either side. Ahh. Oliver. She remembered the moment she had learned his name and oddly never forgot it. She remembered the look in his eyes, how frightened he had been and yet seemed calm with her presence. She had lent him her name. Given it to his ears, but not soon after had his eyes shut. Laurelin's then small heart thudded, but she knew this sleep was not a bad one. He needed rest, but still she had this need to remain by his side. Even through the depths of night. Feeling she needed to be there for the moment he reopened his eyes. There was a trust made and ever since, it didn't seem to be tested. She wasn't sure there be anything to test. She missed him on her travels, but this made for an even greater time when she did see him again. For with Oliver, Laurelin experienced such joy, with no other. She showed him her world and it was always the two of them. For he was her world for a day or a few days.
Though now, Oliver wasn't quite the boy he was anymore. He was becoming a man. Laurelin herself was no longer such the small girl she once was. She was now a young woman. Despite these newly developed shells, the bond seemed only to be getting tighter. They weren't seeming to outgrow one another, but just growing more into their friendship. They still managed to play games, for they were still young and free.
This was a day to escape for Laurelin. A time to simply be with Oliver. There was just something about him. When she was with him, she felt warm and safe. That for a moment it was only them in this world, which was strange for Laurelin was raised as not the settling down type, but with Oliver there was just this sense of belonging. Even with the gypsies, Laurelin never felt a real connection. They were her family of course, but even in this circle she didn't feel completely understood. She was maybe more carefree. She wished to see the places they wished she didn't. There was seeming no one she was more closer to than Oliver. Which Laurelin couldn't quite understand, that he seemed to know her better even with the months apart. With Oliver she could simply be. As these later years had grown him up into a rather handsome state. There was a flutter in her heart that seemed to change slightly which Laurelin wasn't entirely sure what it was. She had always felt comfortable with him and still did. They were used to the touching each other innocently. Though now when they touched, there seemed something more that stirred.
Just a hint, but Laurelin was just in no need to understand them. To just allow what relationship they had grow as it should. She had found herself in the forest, with Oliver. Playing as they always seemed to do. This was her time to hide. Oh, yeah. She smiled. Laughed in her head. Then deciding it maybe best to not hide to well. In which a soft laughter escaped as she dropped her head. Otherwise Oliver may never find her and Laurelin would be left with trying to find, him. Rolling her eyes. Which didn't seem so hard to do. He wasn't always so good at covering his tracks. Which Laurelin had to wonder why? For when they had hunted he had covered them quite well, but when it came to these sort of trailings. He didn't seem to. Finding this a sweet thing as to leave his friend a way to always find him. Her heart beamed. For just looking in his eyes and she knew she was in his heart. No matter what happens, Laurelin felt she had a placement within him. Someone she could always turn to. Someone, she would miss if she never saw again. Her head lowered. As Oliver had motioned his back. She couldn't deal with that. It really wasn't just him. There was still so much left for Laurelin to discover in these lands. She hadn't the desire to go across the seas. She was a gypsy, but this land was her home. She was sure. Though a great deal of it, Laurelin wondered if it was Oliver. How could she give up on him? She had promised him. To look after him when she was a child and she felt a need of that promise still. She had promised to always be there if he needed it. She couldn't just abandon him without a way for him to find her. She couldn't do it to herself. She would miss him a great deal.
With the slight missing of her smile, was soon lightened as Oliver began counting. She needed this distraction. It was a lot to really contemplate and she hadn't the will to tell Oliver, not just yet. For she wanted just for a moment, a reminder of just what she would miss. She was realising it wasn't just the time spent and what they did. It was him really and the placement he had for her. She had an effect on him. These moments were just as important and she just wasn't sure she could so easily abandon him. It pulled at her heart. Breathed and smiled. There was time for this a little later, but she knew her decision. She knew it for a long time, it was just a matter of accepting it. Laurelin bore a simple white dress today. It was above her knees allowing easier movements. As she now ran through the forest. Darting through a winding path so to not so easily lead Oliver to her. It was a rather warm day as it was coming into summer. The dress fitted her body just right as it now shaped her more developed body. It had singlet straps, but the dress was simple. Her wrists bore random bangles she had collected over the years, mostly homemade. Her hair was long and blonde. It seemed to have gotten more golden as she got older. She let it go freely today as she motioned through the gentle breeze that hit her skin just with a slight cooling a effect.
She smiled and laughed as she skipped through the forest. Wondering when Oliver finds her, if he would think it best to go for a swim. To cool off. She was sure she'd restrain from splashing him to much, though he got her back. Oh, and the seeing who dives better. She was sure Oliver wouldn't refuse. He hadn't before. This was also a good time to see just how beautiful he had become and in which Laurelin was sure he had all the girls chasing him. Yet, she would smile and blush, for he seemed to prefer the times with Laurelin. She was pleased he hadn't allowed his heart to be so stolen that he grew out of interest, but Laurelin put it down that what they had was just something special. Oliver was after all so special. He had a carefree side, he wished to be set free. Wild? As he claimed his people would say. They didn't understand Oliver. Laurelin did. He maybe so called wild, but Laurelin knew his heart. He had such a heart. So much to give. He was young and he simply wanted to enjoy as much of this life as he could. They were two peas in a pod. Oliver's people didn't understand Oliver so well, just as Laurelin's people didn't understand Laurelin so well.
So as Laurelin ran she thought of these moments she could spend with Oliver. Wishing they would not end so quickly, but finding the need to not stay in a place for too long. There was always a new place that needed Laurelin. Something new to discover. The wind called. She would beg Oliver not to return to the kingdom this night and simply crash. Sleep under the stars by the gentle sound of the lapping water. She was going to need him. She wasn't so wishing to part from him. Just not so quickly. This was a hard time for Laurelin, than she had realised. With Oliver he seemed to ease it. Relax her. For now Laurelin would just take the time she could get. Just forget for a few more moments, that her life was maybe about to change. She had been given a choice and which one she chose would lead to a change.
Laurelin had come upon an edge of a pool of water below, the cliff was a decent height up, it allowed a nice view of the land. It was in close distance to her camp, so it shouldn't be too hard for Oliver. Laurelin smiled. As she had motioned to hid behind the rocks that sat at the edge. Just as she motioned. Nuri had flown in her presence. Catching her upon her arm with a smile. Her eyes looked upon the bird not understanding. Then she heard the motioning behind her. To find her parents meeting the distance. Feeling her heart race. She hadn't realised it was time already. No. She shook her head. Why was this now? Though not realising it would never have been the right time. Feeling her entire body grow numb. As her teeth toyed at her bottom lip. Laurelin now knew Nuri had led her parents to find her. She patted the eagle's head, though let her fly off again. This was not an easy thing. Her parents refrained from hugging her as they knew there was a good chance Laurelin would not take this all in. They smiled warmly with eyes slightly watered. Laurelin knew it was time.
'It is time, Laurelin. Have you made your decision? The tide is at its best and we cannot wait any longer. As we said before you are free to choose and neither one is wrong... So will you come with us? Or do you wish to stay.'
Laurelin's father spoke to her. Laurelin feeling like her body rushed with nerves. She was not ready for this. She never would have been. No. She shook her head. Why did she have to chose? She didn't want them to leave her alone, but then she didn't want to leave this land she knew so well. She has so much more to grow between her friendship with Oliver. She just couldn't find it in her heart to betray him like that. Or herself. She felt either choice she was letting someone down. As much as she knew the love her parents had for the sea. Laurelin just didn't have the same desire. Not now. She had always wondered if she would end up upon the sea. She had always wished to see the world. She just was. She just wasn't ready. No. She shook her head. She knew she couldn't take Oliver with her. If she could then she thought it be an easier choice. She just couldn't live with the idea of never seeing him again. Then she didn't like the idea she would never see her parents again either. Though as her parents had said Laurelin would find a time when she would break away from her family and seek her own path. They believed she was ready if she wished to chose that now.
"I... Do you have to go? I just, I just don't know. I don't want to lose you, though there is so much here I'll miss. I feel at home here. Can't you stay. "
'I'm afraid Laurelin, we do. Whether it is now, or down the track it won't be any easier and believe me, this is hard for us as well. We will miss you Laurelin if you stay, but you deserve the choice. We don't wish to force a choice for you, especially if your not ready. Even though we are apart we will always be with you Laurelin. You know that... We understand there is a lot still here for you Laurelin. A lot that still ties you to this land, but not for us... What is in your heart, Laurelin? Whatever you decide, we will be proud of you.'
"I want to.... Stay! My heart says to stay... I... I'm sorry. There is so much I'm not ready to give up and I'm not ready for the sea. I love it here and I'm. I'm not sure I can give it up. I. There is so much I'll miss. Oliver. Oh, I can't turn away from him. But, I'm going to miss you. So much. I... Oh, I don't know if I am making the right choice."
Laurelin answered her mother. She paused as she thought her answer. It was like she was split. It seemed her heart begged to stay, but still wished to not lose her parents. Her voiced softened as she said she wanted to stay. Her voice picked up as she was confessing what seemed to her to be selfish thoughts, but it seemed best to get them off her chest. Either choice it was a selfish one. She simply didn't want to live at sea. Not now. She didn't want to give up this land. Not yet. She just wanted to stay. As she spoke it all she knew this was where she wanted to be. Her friendship with Oliver was still so important and she knew how important it was to him. She just couldn't turn away from him. Not when she was sure he still needed her. Though this meant giving up her parents. She loved her parents. So much. She had rebelled at times and wandered from the group. As a young teenager does, but not fearing her parents would ever truly leave. Laurelin would always return and they would always be there. They would always love her no matter what. She knew that. As she knew now she was making the choice to stay, she was still feeling it wasn't the right one. How was she suppose to know? Why did this have to be now?
'You are making the right choice, Laurelin. A very difficult one, we know. This is where you wish to be and you clearly don't desire the sea. That is alright, your just being honest. There is still so much for you here, Laurelin. We can see how much you desire to live here and there is nothing wrong with that. It is your path. Your life and we wish you only to be happy wherever it maybe... We Love you Laurelin. Please know we will always be with you. As we always taught you, never say never. There is always hope Laurelin. We know this is a tough choice, but we have faith in you. You are ready for this. If we didn't think it, we wouldn't be leaving now. You have a friend in Oliver, we can tell how much you miss him when your away from him. Don't feel a shamed if you feel your choosing him over, us. Your not. You have only found this friendship and whether it be now or later. Laurelin you would seek your own life in this world. We can also see how happy you are around Oliver and how hard it would be to part of him. He is a young man, that we know will look over you. In a way I'm sure you will take care of each other, as you already have. He is something special and we feel he needs you just as much. You may not be happy at first, but over time you will find peace again. Goodbye Laurelin.'
'This is a small reminder of our love. We will always love you Laurelin. We couldn't be more proud and sure, you will be fine. Goodbye Laurelin. If your not comfortable moving on with the gypsies just yet and feel you need to remain here with Oliver. Then your free to do that. You are now free to set your own path how ever it is you wish... We will never forget you.'
It was now finally happening. Her parents were leaving. She knew the choice now had been made. She knew deep down she was making the right choice, but she just was going to miss them. She took in their words and it eased her a little. That she had their support in her choice. Though as they spoke. Her eyes blurred. Blinking as her eyes watered. Felt a deep hole within her. As her tears began as they said goodbye. As the last bit of the child in her, wished to latch on and beg them to stay. She wasn't so sure she was as ready as they claimed, but she just knew she wasn't ready to leave. As they spoke of Oliver. She just. No, she wasn't ready. Her face lowered as her mother kissed her upon her head. With gentle touch upon her cheek. Feeling sort of out of her own body as her eyes wept and it was gut wrenching inside. Her hand made for the tears. They were falling in a nice pace. Not to heavy as her last attempt at trying to seem she was ok with this. Or at least she could try. As her father handed her the gold cross. Not really paying too much attention to it. For now was not as important as losing her parents in this moment. Laurelin didn't wish to forget this or really say goodbye. There was every chance she wouldn't get the chance to ever see them again. That was killing her. Her father knew Laurelin wouldn't be so easy to move past this and feel a little lost. As she was use to her parents always being there. To say it is ok to stay. if it is what Laurelin wishes and Oliver agrees. To not be thinking she needed to do the usual and follow the gypsies when she might feel in need of her friend. He was sure she would and he was glad to be leaving her with someone that cared about her. Laurelin smiled softly at the words. She felt this hole and this all stopping her. Not sure what she was meant to do and with her father's words. Made it feel a little more easier that she didn't need to know. Didn't need to know where she wished to go. For now Laurelin was feeling a tad numb and probably not wishing to just decide anything else. She had made a hard enough choice. Her tears wept still as she motioned to hug them deeply. She latched on which seemed ages. This moment was all that mattered now. Anything past this, Laurelin just didn't know. It was all numbing. As she felt the ripping of a part of her heart a very large part. Oh. As she held onto her parents. Wishing for this moment to never end. Though she couldn't hold them here forever and soon they let Laurelin go. Let her begin the path of her life.
It now seemed a lifetime ago, as Laurelin just stared into the space her parents once stood. Watched as they left until they vanished. Not able to pull herself away and trying to hold on to the moment as she could. Feeling the ripping deepening. As her hand clutched tightly. As her sobs grew a little more and her body couldn't bare to stand. She felt so weak. So Lost. As her hands led herself to the large rocks. Not even paying attention as she was now sitting upon it. Everything around her was blurry. She felt and saw only the hole deep inside. As her clutched hand now clutched at her chest. As her sobs flowed. Until they flowed uncontrollably. Her hand then motioned to open. As her eyes cleared enough to see the cross. Her lips kissed the gold. Vowing in that moment to never let this go. To never let her love for them go. They would always be with her. With that a whole new set of tears flowed. Laurelin was now lost in a deep pain. Which she had no idea where it was leading her. She wished to simply remain on this rock for how ever long it took. Until she could cope with the hole that was tearing her apart. Her hand clutched again seeking for something to hold, but it wasn't helping. The pain was still there. She had forgotten Oliver was still looking for her and he was the one she needed. Unable to move. Unable to reach him. What if he was already there and she was just already too lost to realise?

The night was fresh. It was young and it was one night only. One night left before the troops were sent off to war the following morning. So what better way than to send them off in a night was fun. A night of bliss and joy. A night they could possibly remember or forget their troubles. Nearby the nearest port was a hall. Lit up like the brightest candle, just multiple that by 100. It was a rather decent size within. A stage at the back wall that was also of a decent size. Tables and chairs around the room with the centre left bare for the dance. To Swing and dance the night away. There was also a bar. Refreshments and treats alike to help ease the mood or even enhance it. It really all was a night to get away. The night had started early a couple hours before, but it was still early and plenty of hours left on the clock. As the hall was filled with soldiers dancing, drinking and chatting. Mingling around the hall. Women were also present to help the men relax and have fun with their ladies for one last night before departure. The room now was also filled with a music that had the room in a rather swinging beat. Rather retro.
As Laurelin was centre stage before the crowd. The beat of the song was fast beat with a nice play of words. Nothing too serious was needed, just fun loving. Some more sexy to keep the mens minds well played. For how long would id be until they see another woman after tonight. She wore a gold dress. Short and entirely beaded. So it shone and sparkled every move she made. Her moves were to the point for now, up beat and simple. Always with a smile. She was rather all pleased to be here. As her voice sang across the room and drove them all to dance. Swinging her hips with most movements, acting flirty and inviting. She was owning the stage for this moment. Though had two backup dancers and singers either side of her to help fill out the stage and vibe of the music. 'Sweet Sugar' Laurelin said sensually through the song as she ran her arm up and swayed her hips back and forth. Before blowing a kiss into the audience. Then feeling herself getting lost more into the act of the song. She generally travelled town to town for work. She had currently been working at a local bar as an entertainer, a little more fancier than tonight. She was a rather crowd favoured and was requested for this very night. She always did enjoy to entertain and this was a much better cause. As Laurelin then finished her song on a high note. With the entire room in rapture of the enjoyment of it all. Cheers. Laurelin could only smile and bow. Grinning as if she had never grinned before. Before heading off stage for a break. Maybe move through the crowd. Get more personal and have some fun herself.
She stepped back stage to freshen up. Re apply what was needed. Be rid of the sweat which was not over pleasant. Pulled the pins out of her up do and let her ringlet curls fall long. Finding her more latin features more heightened. When she felt more refreshed she motioned back into the main part of the hall. Her eyes falling towards the stage as the next performer entertained the crowd. Her lips smiled around the room, it was a night to remember. That's for sure. Who was to say any of these people may find themselves in such an evening again. She hoped so. She would pray they all travelled safely and returned just the same. The least she could do was entertain them, put a smile upon their faces. She greeted the soldiers as she passed by to motion to the bar. She was kind and she was friendly. Flirted a little of course. They were after all a great audience to have. They deserved this night of attention. As Laurelin then let out a laugh as a soldier jested to her, even if the jest went vastly over her head. Greeting the man behind the bar with a glad smile. As she ordered a drink with low alcohol for now. It was her night to work after all, but it would help relax her. As her hand then took the drink with a smile. Her hand toying at the straw as she brought it to her lips with a sip. As she smiled to the man beside her. Then positioned her back facing the bar as she watched the performance on stage. Swaying her hips just gently. As she was catching her breath somewhat from her own just moments ago. It was a thrill like no other. To entertain.

Splash. Splash and a splash. Echoed to Laurelin from the pool before her. Her eyes ran over the surface, but she merely took it as fish playing. Oh, yep. There as a fish jumped out of the water as if it was magic. No. No magic. Just will power. Just life taking its natural course. As the waterfall also hummed with a pleasant sound for the mind. As her eyes then regained at her feet. The one that was still upon her foot was so warm and roomy. There was not much of chance she would take these, but she had the desire to remain in them a little longer. They had that comforting feeling like a big hug. Something Laurelin hadn't had in some time to come, but it wasn't something she was overly looking for either. A home? This was her home. Anywhere and everywhere. She slipped the boot back on, wishing to feel them both for a little longer. Although she was in need of food, soon. It had been since last night since she ate. With that her eyes came to the movements at the pool. Perhaps some fish?
A man. What? As her head shook. Why was there a man? It was no one she seemed to recognise. Her head turned in curiosity. As the man spoke of friend as he swam closer. She felt the hint of her heart race, not yet entirely sure why. She was nerved that he was a stranger, but for the most part she sat where she did. Besides he said he was a friend. A friend of whom? Laurelin wished to express. For if he was her friend she would have remembered. Yes, she wouldn't of forgotten him as his presence exited the water and his height loomed above her. Her eyes trailing down as he stopped before taking any further steps. She wasn't completely in another world where she couldn't tell he was just being cautious. Which was probably why she wasn't so much. Although his height whilst intimidating was also rather exhilarating. She believed him now, about the friend part. Maybe not quite to the extend, but there was something there. It seemed he was more the one frightened. Laurelin was more just frozen. Her body rather motionless. Her eyes were never ceasing from him as her heart seemed to beat faster.
When he spoke about her apparent death. Laurelin then relaxed. For it suddenly made it a little more clearer. He was the knight in his shining armour trying to rescue the damsel. Her eyes darted around. She was failing to see where such a woman was, for it was not where she was sitting. Not today. She gathered he knew in doing such a thing could have risked his own life for someone he didn't know. Oh wait he did say friend. So it must be so. Laurelin looked at him a bit amused and quite flattered that he had tried to help. Who was Laurelin to tell him how to or not behave?
"I didn't mean to startle you, I was merely jumping and falling, nothing I haven't overcome before. I am sorry you didn't get to catch me, it sure would have made the fall a little more pleasant. Had I known... Please don't stop on my account."
Laurelin spoke clear enough to this mystery man. Stating it was rather a normal thing. Not that anything really was normal about how Laurelin lived. Was she in means to change this? Not so much. She was looking for places in this world she hadn't quite seen before. Looking up at this man, she was sure he was a entirely different world all in himself. She wasn't one so much in need of rescuing nor one to really own up she needs it. She wasn't so apposed had he caught her, by the looks at how he is built would have been rather pleasant. In fact very pleasant as he motioned to remove his chain mail. Feeling her eyes run over him as his cloths clung to his body. His sheer size was just quite marvellous. Yet captivating. Whether it was down to his height, she wasn't so sure. Then he stopped with the removing of clothes. Perhaps on account of her? She figured. She smiled softly as spoke to him to not stop. Laughing softly. Not that she was entirely needing to see this show, but she wasn't apposed to it. Besides it looked like he needed to get out them more than she needed to get out of her own. She felt his eyes upon her. He seemed the respectable kind. Seeing something more here, than there was. She was a woman, a girl and she was no lady. She was woman ruled by no one save herself. She was free as free as she could be. She would prefer it than being tied to one man's dream, that had nothing to do with her own. Let alone love. For Laurelin to love another, that other needed to love Laurelin. Simple. Yet difficult. There was something in the way he looked down upon her in her tiny size. He could easily squish her if he so desired. Depending on the squishing, Laurelin wasn't so sure she would mind it.
Then he laughed. The man laughed. She then saw what it was. Her tiny feet caught within the beast like boots. She quite liked his laugh. It seemed to cut a little from this gentle shyness that wished to respect her. Although she doubted really this was respect, but he was at least kind about it. Her hands motioned back as he squatted before her, but found she wasn't so much trying to get away from him. More just not expecting his moves. She quite liked him at this level. It wasn't so far to look up to now. Although she wasn't apposed the the previous position either. She could see his face a little closer now. It was very pleasing. Laurelin smiled as he gave his own. Feeling her cheeks glow a tad red as her eyes themselves ran off in shyness. Well not so much shyness. She merely looked away from how his warm smile moved her. She liked how he was looking at her and smiling. It was caused for ok, some nerves of her own. They caused a nervous joy. Simple and pleasant enough feeling of gentle tingles. Oh. Her lips motioned as he offered the boots. She now knew that they were his and she smiled at his simple kindness. She did not know this man. From what she could tell was one of those knightly kinds. He hadn't any reason to act in such away. In fact it rarely happened. Unless he was trying to gain something from her. Though as her eyes traced his arms and other features. She wasn't so sure she could stop it, if that's what she wanted to do. His eyes caused her to grin a little more and her eyes to drift off. A friend? She rolled the expression around on her tongue. Probably. He was oddly sweet for just having met Laurelin and he didn't even know her name. She didn't even know his own, even if he had one. Surely a knightly man like himself had a name. What was it? Oh what is? The title. Oh um. She tried to recall. Oh, right. SIR. These things came with Sir in front. In a way to separate them into a group. Right? She shrugged her shoulders, it really was all myths to her.
"Thank-you. They do feel extremely warm and inviting. They smell good as well. I feel quite lost within them. Maybe too lost. I think they might prefer you than I... I'm Laurelin, by the way. I hope next time you'll be quick enough to catch me. For the next time I jump, I'd be more inclined to take you with me. That's if your not afraid to fly?... Even now on solid ground, are you still desiring to catch me? That's if I'm worth the hassle. I generally don't stay in place nor do what I am told."
Laurelin was very thankful for his offer. Even though good chance had they fit her she probably would have just taken them. They were shoes, not a baby. Not something worth a great deal more than a life. Yet still when offered it was of course more pleasant and Laurelin wasn't the kind of gypsy that took anything she wanted. She took what she needed. That line between need and want can blur, but for the most part she was sensible with it. Surely the knighthood would capture her for stealing bread here and there. That they're be more interested in catching the actual monsters. Laurelin was sure she was far from any monster, but she wouldn't put it past this man if that's what he saw. She smiled softly. Perhaps a kind monster. Who ever said a monster had to always be bad? All Laurelin knew was she was not perfect. She had sins that well she wasn't so inclined to tell this man. Not all at once. She reached out her hand to his as she spoke her name. She remembered seeing folk like himself greeting this way. She much preferred it to the kind that brought people to their knees. Or what was it called. The bows. Or something. She barely knew, but apparently was expected of ladies and so called Gentlemen. Which was why she gathered she was not one of these ladies. She wasn't so sure she minded. Even if it meant in their world she was down the so called ladder of worth. Maybe Laurelin wasn't even on the ladder. She'd prefer it actually. Not the whole being worthless. But really be free. She only cared to be worth a great deal to herself. To those who actually knew her. It just didn't hurt her how many treated her or mistreated her. Of course it wasn't overly pleasing to hear, but there seemed no reason to dwell on such things. Waste of life. Her voice played upon her accent. As her tone was mostly kind and slightly amused. She hardly expected him to agree to fly with her. Then she rarely agreed to anything herself. Or at least stuck with them. Promises were best left unmade. It went down a road so easily broken. Her eyes ran over him. This knightly man had come to catch her. Was he still trying to? As her eyes ran over his muscles. His gentle features. She wasn't so sure she minded. It just another thing to keep her. Catch her for maybe a moment if he was lucky. Hmmm, she had no where in mind now actually. Where she wished to go? She could be content to be in his world for a day. Maybe a couple more if he kept her interested and a decent pace. She was not a shamed to admit she doesn't do what she is told. She listened to the wind and most important to her heart. She wasn't some completely reckless brainless creature that so many think she is. That he might be thinking she is. She does actually have blood. She does actually have nerves. If they are pinched right, she does bleed and Laurelin does cry.

The day was past midday, the sun was still out, but the sun would set in a couple of hours. This caused deeper shadows amongst the forest. As Laurelin's father carried the boy back to their camp. It wasn't a walk that would take forever, but it was a good distance. Well hidden within the trees and set close by a river that ran through the forest. Laurelin's tiny hand held the boy's finger as she walked a long side her father. His finger felt oddly cold. Shaking a little now. Her eyes fled over where his face was not far away from her own. His eyes were open, but he was barely seeming a ware. Yet as her eyes ran over she could tell he was frightened. It was understandable, she was sure. For he fell, basically broke his leg and now carried off into the forest by strangers. If only he knew he was really amongst friends. That they meant no harm. At least not while Laurelin was around. She smiled for she was sure she could protect him. As her hand tightened around his limb. Laurelin's eyes then went to look up at her father who just smiled and nodded. Causing her to grin and look back at this boy.
"Shhh, its ok. We not trying to harm you, we're just trying to help you. We're nearly there. Just hold on."
Laurelin said in a low and encouraging tone in her voice. As her brown eyes looked over his rather glazed over blue eyes. Trying to make him not so concerned. To just stay calm. Her hand let go of his finger for a moment to run over his forehead gently. So he can feel calm, reassured that he was in a safe place with them. Laurelin knew of all he different kinds of folk who could have found him, he was rather lucky she had when she did. Her lips curled into a smile again as her fingers gently ran through his hair as she begged for him to just stay with her as she could see the camp approaching. She wished she could be rid of his pain that he was in. Every ounce of pain he was sending she caught and it made her heart sink a little. Soon, this was all temporary. She was sure about that. As her hand then returned to hold his finger gently.
As the path a head now led within the camp. Set up of some tents roughly placed around. With a fire spot in the dead centre for the main gathering and entertainment. As soon as the group arrived, Laurelin's mother came over and spoke with her father. Her mother was kind and gentle. As she watched over the boy, knew already what was wrong and what needed to be done. Expressing to take him to their tent. Where she could help the boy and he can rest. 'Laurelin, I'm going to have to get you to bring me a couple of things... Thank-you, sweetheart.' Her mother then spoke to her daughter after a motherly hug and gave her a list of things she needed to help the boy. It wasn't too many, but Laurelin was keen to help so she remembered it all rather well. She hoped.
"He will be ok?"
Laurelin motioned to go collect the items, but her gut made her stay in her spot. As her eyes shadowed over the boy in her father's arms. She was sure he'd be ok, but there was just something in side Laurelin that needed to know the truth. She needed him to be ok. Her eyes then ran over her mother as she asked her. As her tiny eyes bubbled, her chest heaving a little and felt a jolt of nerved up and down her body. Her mother then wrapped Laurelin in her arms and somehow it seemed to help a little. Though it also helped her eyes to leak. Her chest wrenching up the sobs as her eyes cried. She was after all 11 at time so even the incident was rather dramatic to her. Difficult to really comprehend. Slowly her mother pulled away a little as her hands came to Laurelin's shoulders. Her mother wiped some of her tears and smiled. 'I haven't had a great look at his injury, but it seems just a fracture. Bones, heal Laurelin. Not quickly, but yes he will be fine. He simply needs support for his leg and plenty of rest. He seemed to have hit his head pretty hard. Though I will need someone to watch over him and to make him feel comfortable while he's here. He is far from home, so we need only be as welcoming as if he was our own until he is found... Would you like to watch over him, Laurelin?' Laurelin slightly beamed at her mothers words. It seemed to calm her enough. She smiled as she mentioned he needed someone to watch him and then ask Laurelin if she would be the one to watch him. She nodded greatly, she could do that. She was probably going to do that anyways. Was a good chance her mother already knew that as well. With another warm hug with her mother thanking her and her eyes ran over the boy. She motioned to gather some stuff up that was needed. As then her father carried the boy into a tent with her mother.
Laurelin then a few moments after returned to the tent with supplies so to speak. Though as she went through what her mother had asked. They had simply been food and water. So best the boy was well fed, of course. While Laurelin was gone the healing of his ankle happened. So incase Laurelin screamed or saw something not so subtle to her childlike eyes, that connected to her brain of too many thoughts. Her small hand opened the tent door as she stepped in. Most of the healing had been taken care of. It was now a matter of wrapping it up a little more. Which Laurelin soon placed the items upon a table and helped her mother wrap the boy's ankle. Treatment underneath to help heal it and sooth it. Mobile enough so it would prevent him moving it so much and cause more damage or worse even more terrible pain. As her father and another gypsy prepared some light food. How ever well Laurelin was at things, she was after all just 11 years old, it was probably best she doesn't cook too much over an open fire. Though she had learn a thing or two as she grew up. Laurelin's mother did the last bit of wrapping and Laurelin helped cut the end off. Patted it down so it would stay. It was a small bed of a thin mattress and fur blankets. To make it extra comfy, but not too comfy that he was swallowed up in it. 'I think that is all for now, Laurelin. I gave him something for the pain. It should kick in soon, but he may need some coaching if he gets to dizzy... I shall return later to check how your doing, you will be in great care with my daughter. If you need anything you may simply ask it. You are our guest and our friend. We are on the look out for your people, so please just rest. You are not lost nor are you in harm here. You are safe and protected. You just simply need to rest... I shall leave you two for now. You may try seeing if he'll eat or at least drink some water, but allow him to take his time. It was quite an ordeal his body went through, so its just a matter of it all catching up... Take care of him Laurelin, and I shall come by in a couple of hours. If you are concerned just come find me.'Her mother spoke to Laurelin as they had finished the initial treatment. Then she spoke to the boy a bit, reassuring him he is safe here and that he just needed to rest. Before again speaking to her daughter. It wasn't so much taking care of him it was simply just be in his company, but she knew how Laurelin was. She was still young and was wanting to feel like she could help. Laurelin had good intentions and it was something to encourage.
Soon in a matter of minutes after his injury was well attended to the tent was left with just the boy and Laurelin. She was slightly nerved, but in a way this was what she had wanted. Wasn't it? Who was this boy? Her eyes played upon the door that her parents had exited, now looked upon in as a black spot and then her eyes moved over to where the boy laid. She was hoping he wasn't so scared now. The tent seemed much bigger at this age, when Laurelin was a child, but it was just quite cosy, quint. It was what it was needed for. The tent was rustic made. There was mix of different patches sewn together. Dangles here and there. Not so much of a design, but enough that it seemed to have care in the planing. She still remained near his ankle. Not sure what so much to do, but what to say. She had only been so used to interacting with her own kind. With the gypsies. Although other worldly folk have always interested her, but not all interacts she had with other kinds haven't been so pleasant. Even if she was just a child she still represented a way of living that some just never quite understand. Not that she was reading this into him, for he was young himself. She then moved to kneel more closer to his head. Her hand then finding the courage to take hold of his hand within her two hands. For her need to comfort him was far greater. She smile gently to him. Hoping he wasn't so far gone yet.
"What's your name?... Are you hungry? Thirsty?"
Laurelin asked nicely in her spanish accent tongue. As she caressed his hand gently within her hands. Smiling as she remembered her mothers word of friend. Perhaps it could be. Yet she didn't even know his name. Who was he?

She felt her body glide within the cool water. It was a fine start of the day, the sun was out, but it was nicely warm. The water had just that hint of chill to wake up the body. To refresh the mind. Her hands in front from her head as her body dived deep within the water. She had swam since she was a child, she knew how to use her body in most situation and she certainly knew how to jump off a cliff without killing herself. Although there was still that rush of a risk. Then what was life without stepping out of your comfort zone. One never truly knows until ones tried it. Her body soon fell horizontal underneath as her feet peddled enough and motioned her arms just right. As she swam through the lengthy pool. Not having to take much strokes as the dive had set her with a decent amount of speed. When was it? The first time she was set within water. She was born into it more or less. With parents being of the sea. She remembered splashing around with her parents and the other gypsies. As she got older wishing to stay longer and longer. She also had quite a love for the sea. She was still not ready in taking the trip over it yet. Laurelin always thought one day she would, but for now she simply wished to discover these lands. She was not one to settle down, but within these lands she felt some piece of a home.
Her ears heard the faint echoes of the waterfall crashing through underneath. She faintly heard another crash, but put it down to just the waterfall. She hadn't much an idea she wasn't alone. This was pretty far out there, unless there were other gypsies around. Soon as she treaded through came closer to the edge where it met with the land. Almost walked straight out of the water, as it started with her head and soon more of her body became clearer. Her feet pressed upon the floor just enough, it felt the roughness, but it oddly massaged her feet and it felt good. Oh, until that sharpness. 'Ouch' she muttered. As stopped to pick up her foot with a small scratch under her heel. Just shallow and just dripping a little blood. The drops ran off gently to fall and be lost within the water below. Laurelin let go of her foot and hoped the little ways left to the land.
Before she crashed upon ground at the waters edge. Taking a better look at the damage. Licking her thumb as to try and sooth it. Not too bad. It seemed it was soon closing. Another rub and she placed her foot upon the ground where she sat. Her body wet. Her clothes, hair and just everything. She bore the similar style day in and day out. That homemade look of things she had stumbled and put together. As most gypsies do. Today she wore brown pants. With a belt, with some arrow heads upon it. Her top was also brown that covered her womanly parts and left the rest bare. With it tied with a cord around her neck and back. Her wrists bore cuffs and some spare bangles. Around her neck also was a cross. Something she usually kept with her at all times. She ran her hand through her wet hair and shook it. Just enough to dry a little easier. Her eyes then trailed to something close by on the bank she saw from the corner of her eye.
Her eyes frowned slightly, Shoes? She wasn't sure if she should be all that surprised. Surely leaving shoes in a place like this was normal? Laurelin then stood again to investigate them more closely. Perhaps vacant she could put them to good use. It would save the cuts and the thistles. She soon stopped at the shoes. Bent down to pick one up. How odd? She thought. Then shrugged her shoulders. Perhaps the skies above were just trying to help. Or someone just forgot about their shoes. Laurelin then sat again. Pulled the shoe upon her quite delicate small foot. Of course her feet are tiny, she is after all tiny herself. As she placed the other upon her foot. She wasn't sure this was entirely going to work. They were almost three times her size. She let out a laugh. For this was what she would look like with big feet. Quite out of proportion. Hmmm, best she just leave them here. Perhaps the last owner had a similar problem or was coming back for them. Laurelin then pulled one off as she wiggled her toes in the other. Quite roomy, but maybe too roomy.
A main reason for her to not have shoes is quite the amount of walking she does do that they'd wear themselves out too often, it was just easier and less costly to just go bare foot. Just had to suck it up when the occasional prickle or cut, but its nothing one can't get use to. Just she heard moving and splashes from the water. Had there been another in the water. Perhaps Laurelin was a little far gone to have realised. Her hand fiddled with the one shoe in her hand, it had an oddly nice smell to it and felt well worn within her hands. As Laurelin gazed up to see what or whom had spied upon her. Just as she did she heard the faint call of Nuri above as she flew through the sky. Laurelin's brown eyes looked up with a smile before returning to look over the pool. Seeing what else could happen to come out of the water, that was not already meant to be there.

The aim was steady and in preparation. The deer was of a decent size. It was a wandering adult. No antlers. Just a simple brown deer, that Laurelin knew was really more than simple. Simple was always just as beautiful. Though this life was all about balance. As Laurelin had made out to throw the spear just at the right moment. Came a piercing cry through the forest. Nearby. Laurelin had just thrown the spear and it jumped her hand. So the spear went flying and totally missing. Scaring the deer to flee the scene as well as some few birds. That scattered from the surrounding trees. Laurelin was taken by that as her eyes rang that direction, but her tiny mind fled to this cry. Of pain. Someone was hurt. That Laurelin knew. Her face fled of concern and she fled through the forest in the direction. Her footings quick with haste. Not focusing on the little bits of pain as this led her bare feet to hit roughly upon the ground. Everything rushed by. She fled the thoughts of whom it was. Her heart raced. oh how it raced.
It hadn't been very far as Laurelin soon fell upon the area below the slope within the land. Her eyes ran to find a young boy upon the ground who tossed and turned in pain. Her eyes ran up the slope for a second to really see just how much he had fallen. She gasped with air as he screamed again. Then soon with what was left between them motioned towards this young boy, a teenager. As Laurelin came into his presence. She hadn't a great deal of what to do, just that she knew she needed to comfort him and help him. His mind seeming elsewhere along with the pain. Laurelin ran her small hand over his forehead lightly. She tried to smile, but this was not quite a happy moment. Then slid her hand down his cheek trying to sooth him and stop from leaving this world. As her eyes ran over him, he was much a stranger to her. Who ever he was, he was deserving to be helped. She had to help him.
"Can you hear me? I'm here.... I'm here."
Laurelin rang with english in her rather spanish voice, her tone was gentle as her eyes looked upon him with trying to sooth his pains somewhat. At least ease his mind. As her voice almost whispered the last words. As her lips smiled softly. As her hand softly moved over his face. As her eyes took in his appearance for a moment. Before her smile slowly faded as she was now gaming to look at the injury she knew was there. Her eyes ran down his leg to his ankle. She could already tell there was damage, but what kind she couldn't know. Not soon did a few of the gypsies and her father came, they must have also heard his screams. Laurelin was glad they were here. For she wouldn't have felt right to leave him to go find help and even at age 11 she would like to think she could help on her own. Though she knew better that looking over at him, he needed more proper help.
Her father rushed over next to Laurelin. As he attended to the boy. Checking his vitals were in check. Then moved down to his ankle. Her father just lightly motioned it so not to cause any more pain. Laurelin watched her eyes ran over the boy's face and to her father. Trying to read into what her father was seeing. How bad was this? She could tell something about her father's eyes as he examined the boy's ankle. It couldn't be good.
"How bad is it, father?"
Laurelin asked innocently with concern as her hands continued to try and sooth the boy gently. She knew something was wrong. Her father removed his hands. His eyes ran up the poor boy and then upon Laurelin. "I'm afraid it's broken... We need to get him out of here, so he can be properly treated and can rest. It doesn't appear to be to bad, but it won't happen over night... Come we'll take him back to our base... Don't worry Laurelin, he'll be fine... Was there no one else with him?" Her father spoke and Laurelin gasped as he said it was broken. It explained the shear screams and cries. Her hands trying to sooth him some more. With her gentle touches. As her father spoke reassuring the situation and what was needing to be done. Laurelin smiled she was sure he'd be fine, but still concern as the boy was still in pain for now. Laurelin moved out of the way as father began to pick up the boy to carry him. He asked about whether the boy was alone as he stood. Laurelin simply shook her head.
"No, there was no one save him"
Her father nodded as Laurelin spoke honestly to him as she just shook her head again. Though did this mean he was alone. Laurelin looked around. It was possible he came out here alone. She didn't know who he was and nor how he lived. Laurelin rose to her own feet as she motioned to be near her father as he carried the boy. Her mind only focused upon this mystery boy. She cared for the world and she seemed to care for this boy she didn't even know his name. She felt he was like a magnet and she wished to not leave his side. As if she vowed to see him through all this and make sure he would be alright. So along with her father and a small group of the other gypsies. They motioned to leave the area and return to their base camp. Where they could best heal the boy to much better health. Though her father insisted for a gypsy to stay behind incase someone came looking for the boy. The last thing they wanted was to kidnap the boy. He had parents or someone that could be possibly looking for him. It was best to make sure and not cause anymore damage. To simply heal the boy. Laurelin stayed close by reached her small hand as she held one of the boy's fingers out of her kindness and caring for him. There was something special about him, she knew the moment she found him and there was something telling her, it had meant to be her that found him. She felt an oath to stay with him and her slight hoping he would get to stay with them. He was from another world and Laurelin wished to know him once he was able to speak more. A possible friend, perhaps. Then Laurelin is but a child, with a child mind. Seeing things that are almost made up of dreams. All the hope in the world. As her hand held his finger firmly as her eyes kept a descent amount of time upon him between watching where she was going. With this small hold she felt like she was helping. Even if it was really her father that was doing the carrying.
