It was a day that led into itself. Laurelin hadn't planned much other than to simply live it. Nuri was around fling for the day. Somehow Laurelin found herself tracking through the forest and leading to a place she wasn't sure what it was. Just following her nose. Just a simple pace at the walk and every notion of life around her was beamed into a light. It shone within the trees and helped pick up the glow of her skin. The day of living on the edge seemed at the tip of her toes. She couldn't imagine living life half lived. It needed to be grasped at the throat. Her legs took strides of the knowledge they knew as every bare foot landed upon the ground. She had become use to the roughness and being bare. Still of course came the unlikely prickle or scratch of a rock. Just as Laurelin was in her pace, she pierced her foot. Causing her to stop in a slight flinch of pain. As she picked up her foot to pick out the little spike that caused it. Cursing just a little, but it was nothing she couldn't overcome.
Her ears took sound of a horse nearby. She could hear a faint snort and a faint nay through the whispers in the forests. Something caused her to go see. To see these beasts in flesh. She threw the spike in the air and let go of her foot. Then tracked through the trees weaving until she could just make out the black form in amongst the trees. The coat shone and the muscles helped define the horse. A mare. As Laurelin turned her head. Her eyes ran over it. As her feet planted quietly not to spook the horse. Creeping into where the horse stood, the animal peaked its ears. On a slight alert as Laurelin stepped in a decent pace before it. Her lips with a smile as she soon reached the animal with very little of a flinch. Her eyes looked within the animal's eye. She could tell the wild spirit that laid within it. It was unbroken and untamed. Left to roam these lands how it had been intended. Before long Laurelin eventually found her hand upon the animal's neck. Felt the stir of its muscles and its warmth. Its eyes still read of alert, but as Laurelin made contact it soon relaxed.
As if something unspoken and just simply at a whim. Laurelin moved down the animals back as with a leap Laurelin jumped to sit upon its bare back. Causing the animal to be more than alert. It seized underneath and slightly danced at the spot, with a little shake of its head. Laurelin ran her hand along its neck. Feeling it respond to her touch with a snort. Somewhat settling, but Laurelin was is more of wanting to enjoy this day. Have fun. Laurelin then kicked her legs enough against the horse's side. The horse bolting in to a gallop with little encouragement. As Laurelin felt the animal below her with such strength move within the forest. The wind running past her hair and making it dance. Feeling the deep thrill of this. It was just done out following where life lead her. She smiled and laughed. As the rush filled her cheeks. Her hands held firmly upon the mane. As the horse motioned around the trees and leading into the forest in no real direction. The speed was fast that the tress flashed by and one almost had a rush you might just run into one. Though Laurelin trusted in this beast and the horse was feeling the freedom of its own movements.
She found themselves going deeper into the forest. The thrill was ever so good. As the pace flowed. Laurelin's hand slid back from its mane to its wither and pushed Laurelin up. Her feet coming upon the unsteady back of the horse. As she slowly found her balance through the rush. Laurelin then pushed to stand. As the horse galloped. Laurelin's heart raced as she stood upon it as her hands reached out to the side to help balance. She grinned and laughed. As the rush flowed in waves. Her voiced drove out screams and yells of excitement. As she felt so truly in this moment that was simply not one to be repeated so often. There was every chance this ride now wouldn't last much longer, so Laurelin enjoyed the thrill whilst it was here. Soon came that faint bump in the road that caused Laurelin's footing to become unstable. It caused the horse to flinch more and caused more unsteady movements.
It wasn't long before Laurelin no longer felt the horse underneath. Her body was flung to fly some what through the air, the horse taking off through the forest and Laurelin left to fall. Landing firmly upon her back in a decent patch of grass to help ease the fall. It was still rather painful, but it hadn't been the overly damaging kind. Laurelin fell into a belly laugh as she laid there. Her hands falling to her stomach helping the painful laughs come out. As her head slowly came from spinning in circles from the rush and the almighty fall from grace. As her eyes looked up to see the branches over lapping with a faint hint of the blue sky and it all circling around and around. Settling soon and Laurelin laughed some more as she felt nothing but joy. What a thrill! What a Risk! What a rush! It had ended roughly, but it was all worth it. To get a kick out of life and it was only getting better.

The world was large. It was ever changing. It was always exciting. One never knew what was around the corner. It seemed even bigger to Laurelin at aged 11. For she was but a small part in the larger sense. Yet with a sense of pride that she would be but ages older, well at least in her mind. Still there was a innocence within her that was just not so easily taken. She also had a freeness that only a child could dream of. She saw life in a way so few get to. She was able to learn the world, grow a little wise, but without growing up too fast. She just lived a more simple and peaceful life. It was normal to her. Although life was anything than normal, it was always exciting. Laurelin especially as a child loved life. Enjoyed it.
As was today all a day for Laurelin to simply enjoy. There was no telling what was going to happen. Laurelin just simply let life come at her as it was meant to. It was time for a little hunting for the gypsies. It was a means for food to keep them all well fed, it also allowed for the younger gypsies to learn the ways more and more. Laurelin had been around this since she was a small child. Today with a decent length spear in her hand. She had set out into the forest with a small group of her people. As Laurelin was a bit older now she was able to hunt a little bit on her own and Laurelin always seemed to find herself wanting to do things on her own. She bore animal skin pants n top. All handmade as was most things in Laurelin's life. Set in a colour of brown. As very close in tone to her eyes. Her hair blonde and ringlets for her age. Though they were not overly tamed nor were they usually.
As Laurelin motioned within the forest came a familiar flutter of wings as Nuri landed upon Laurelin's tiny shoulder. The eagle was not much in age, still had a few baby feathers of her own. Laurelin smiled a child smile. As her hand ran over its head. Laurelin had found Nuri abandoned by its mother and helped nurse it back to better health. For the most part the bird was free, but since Laurelin found the eagle, they had a bond that only they really knew. Some had horses and Laurelin loved them and every other animal. It just well, with Nuri it was much like a companion of sorts. An understanding. Laurelin smiled then she heard a dash through the trees of a bouncing beast of sorts.
"Oh, a deer. Vayamos Nuri con rapidez"
Laurelin spoke excitedly to Nuri as she pointed in the direction. Her tongued then rolled into her more spanish tongue along with her accent. They would need to go with haste before they lost track of it. So Laurelin sprang on her feet and Nuri took flight close by. As Laurelin moved within the trees. As quick and as quietly as she could. She was using her stealth like mode. Although at age 11 how stealth could she be. Laurelin followed the crumbled marks before her that lead her in the right direction. Feeling her instincts of this becoming more and more alert and instinctive. Until finally some trees away, Laurelin stopped. She hid behind a tree. As she looked around to see the deer in a small opened plained area. Laurelin crept up to move closer and closer. Through the bushes and the shrubs. Nuri still close by in the air keeping quiet for now. As Laurelin found a nice distance. She raised her hand up as her eyes fell upon the flank of the deer as her target. Ready and prepared to shoot. As young Laurelin aimed from the shrubs of the forest with Nuri closely by her head. Her eyes focused as the deer slowly moved and Laurelin just waiting for the right time to strike.

Waves. Waves. Waves. Swirling around as Laurelin floated in the midst of the ocean. Drifting no where. Was Laurelin frightened? No. This was peaceful. So very peaceful. There was a nice light out of the sun shining down, it hit her skin just nicely that it felt warm. Not at all burning. Her head felt at peace. Her eyes opened to a beautiful world. There was no lands. Nothing but blanket of water. With the waves lapping at her body as she floated. Floated no where. Yet she felt like she was at the top of the world. There was no more worried nor any troubles to be in suit. A faint sound of a sea bird came from above Laurelin. It started out faint and somewhat relaxing. Then it soon became louder. Soon Laurelin felt a peck at her cheek. She squinted her eyes and before long she felt herself being sunk within the waves. Washed underneath.
Laurelin then found her eyes open and awake from the peaceful dream. To be woken by Nuri with a peck at her cheek. Laurelin breathed in deep as her mind came back to the world. She had been sleeping within a small open place with in the forest. No shelter for she hadn't needed it. It had been a rather warm night. The grass that was beneath her was nice and soft. As she breathed she felt the fresh air invade her body and become wrapped in one. Soon her smile reached her as Nuri pecked her again. Laurelin patted the eagle upon her tiny head and then rose to sit. Not over thinking about where she was or where she was headed. It was mostly about following her nose or even incases Nuri's nose. She gently ran her hand through her slightly roughed out golden locks with dark strands weaved within. Not so much to try and tame her hair, just to bring it more to life. As her brown eyes sort around her. It was so peaceful out here, but life was calling to be lived. Laurelin couldn't give up that chance to go and live it. Not when it rang in her ears so clearly.
Laurelin smiled as she looked to Nuri, it seemed so natural for Laurelin to talk to Nuri as if she understood her and on some level they understood each other quite well. As if a past life once lived before together. Her tongue rolled around her spanish accent as it was probably time for Nuri to fly on her own and freely. Come back when Nuri needed to. Laurelin didn't own Nuri and never would. The eagle was much a friend and a companion for Laurelin, Laurelin wished to not cage her friends nor anyone for that matter. Her lips expressed a more broader smile as she spoke of a morning swim. For she knew just through the cracks in the trees there was a cliff not far with a water, begging to be jumped. Laureling didn't need to look so much for the water echoed just enough to be heard. Nuri chirped to Laurelin in response and Laurelin nodded.
Laurelin rose finally to her feet and stretched her nicely formed body. It was rather pain free from the night sleeping on the ground, then Laurelin was used to it. Laurelin threw a whistle to Nuri and then ran through the trees. Her lips grinned so happy to see such a beautiful day and this notion of just how good this feeling was. Letting out laughter as reached the cliff. Her body becoming thrilled from the quick dash as Nuri flew by her head. Laurelin stopping just at the edge. It was a fair way up. Instead of it striking fear in Laurelin the height caused a made dash of excitement through her veins. Life was all about enjoyment and this was joyful to Laurelin. She stretched up as she took in this beautiful sight. This world. This land sang so deeply in her veins. She could even hear the wind speak to her heart as if they were one. Laurelin loved the rush that built inside her before she jumped. She liked the feeling as if she could fly. Nuri had landed nicely upon her shoulder. With one last pat and chirp. Laurelin smiled at the eagle then reached out her arm to let Nuri be free. Hearing the eagle faintly chirp as took flight into the distance. Her eyes danced upon the loving sight of nature in its rightful place.
Breathing in some more. Laurelin's eyes regained upon the water below. The height. She closed her eyes and breathed in deep as she raised her arms up out the side of her. With her toes she lifted herself up and then simply let go. Let go of all control and become one with the air. As she swan dived into the depth below. The crashing water playing so deeply in her mind and soul. Laurelin fell and fell. Her body shot through the air like a feather. Before long her body crashed within the water and Laurelin swam within the pool below the waterfall quite deeply. As she held her breath and swam. She just swam. Feeling the water cool her skin and feel as peaceful as did her dream just moments before. She hadn't planned much, but she figured something eat would be needed. For now she didn't worry too much and just let it all come to her in strides. Today was a beautiful fine day and it just felt so good. Laurelin was simply loving life as everyday she was blessed to be upon this land. This land she called her home. She knew it by every inch or so she would like to believe. For the most part anyways. There was really no where else she would need to be. Then there wasn't one place in this land she could settle in either. For Laurelin loved this land from all corners. She had a long life to enjoy every inch this land had to offer. For now she just enjoyed as her body swam within the deep water. This was paradise to her. Simply Paradise.

| ~ • ~ | History | ~ • ~ |
.:Birthplace:. At sea .:Family:. Father: AMILCAR (Departed) Mother: EVITA (Departed) Grew up with gypsies .:Occupation:. Bard/Gypsy .:Current Location of Residence:. Everywhere .:History:. Laurelin was born at sea. Some distance from Britain. Her parents are what you call Sea Gypsies. They sail from land to land as did their parents before them and their parents before them. Also seeking to find more in the world and not a kind that stay in one place for to long. Her parents are a mix of races really. Mostly from Spain and Portugal area. Laurelin didn't see much of the life at sea. For her parents wanted her to grow up in a more one place kind of life style. They wanted Laurelin to sort of have a choice of how she was wanted to live, but they would wait until Laurelin is at a right age to ask. They chose Britain to raise their daughter. They had travelled with other seas gypsies which when they landed at shore. Some continued with them to live in Britain, where the rest continued sailing the ocean. Although her parents had in mind of raising her on land, they didn't want to completely leave their life style as gypsies. It was after all common to them.
So with the group they had soon found other Gypsies that lived in britain. Which is where Laurelin became to grow as a Gypsy herself. There was never one place they stayed, but camped in a decent size group across the country. Laurelin has probably moved place to place, from north to south. They generally stay within the forests and living of more natural way of surviving. Staying well clear of the kingdoms and wanting a much more quiet lifestyle. Where it is just them and the land. Though they have known to come across the much small villagers, but not a lot of interaction. Laurelin as she got older sort to be more interested in the villages and found new cultures. Finding the entertainment and fun that could be had there. Laurelin also found herself seeking a little more independence as she came into her teens. Though it wasn't for that long. Then the day came when the sea came calling for her parents. Laurelin was about 16 at the time, her parents knew she was old enough and could now begin to seek her own course through life. They gave Laurelin the choice to either come with them or to stay in Britain. It was a hard choice, for she felt home in Britain and she felt there was still so much of it to see. So they agreed she would stay. They gave her a cross that was handed down from a relative long deceased to remember them and their faith. That they would always be with her no matter where they were in the world. Laurelin stayed with the group of gypsies she lived with for the next couple of years. She left them from time to time as she had always done, but finding herself leaving for longer periods of time. It was maybe that last bit of holding on to her parents that she even returned. Until she decided it was time to see the land on her own. Laurelin still sees the others from time to time, but she does not follow them anymore. As Laurelin seeks a path all her own. Its now just a matter of where it will lead. For Laurelin knows these lands so well, she knows almost every rock and plaid of grass. Then there's a vast part of these lands, Laurelin doesn't know. It is intriguing to her, but also frightening at the same time. Almost like two worlds. The gypsies and the non-gypsies.
