It was a day that led into itself. Laurelin hadn't planned much other than to simply live it. Nuri was around fling for the day. Somehow Laurelin found herself tracking through the forest and leading to a place she wasn't sure what it was. Just following her nose. Just a simple pace at the walk and every notion of life around her was beamed into a light. It shone within the trees and helped pick up the glow of her skin. The day of living on the edge seemed at the tip of her toes. She couldn't imagine living life half lived. It needed to be grasped at the throat. Her legs took strides of the knowledge they knew as every bare foot landed upon the ground. She had become use to the roughness and being bare. Still of course came the unlikely prickle or scratch of a rock. Just as Laurelin was in her pace, she pierced her foot. Causing her to stop in a slight flinch of pain. As she picked up her foot to pick out the little spike that caused it. Cursing just a little, but it was nothing she couldn't overcome.
Her ears took sound of a horse nearby. She could hear a faint snort and a faint nay through the whispers in the forests. Something caused her to go see. To see these beasts in flesh. She threw the spike in the air and let go of her foot. Then tracked through the trees weaving until she could just make out the black form in amongst the trees. The coat shone and the muscles helped define the horse. A mare. As Laurelin turned her head. Her eyes ran over it. As her feet planted quietly not to spook the horse. Creeping into where the horse stood, the animal peaked its ears. On a slight alert as Laurelin stepped in a decent pace before it. Her lips with a smile as she soon reached the animal with very little of a flinch. Her eyes looked within the animal's eye. She could tell the wild spirit that laid within it. It was unbroken and untamed. Left to roam these lands how it had been intended. Before long Laurelin eventually found her hand upon the animal's neck. Felt the stir of its muscles and its warmth. Its eyes still read of alert, but as Laurelin made contact it soon relaxed.
As if something unspoken and just simply at a whim. Laurelin moved down the animals back as with a leap Laurelin jumped to sit upon its bare back. Causing the animal to be more than alert. It seized underneath and slightly danced at the spot, with a little shake of its head. Laurelin ran her hand along its neck. Feeling it respond to her touch with a snort. Somewhat settling, but Laurelin was is more of wanting to enjoy this day. Have fun. Laurelin then kicked her legs enough against the horse's side. The horse bolting in to a gallop with little encouragement. As Laurelin felt the animal below her with such strength move within the forest. The wind running past her hair and making it dance. Feeling the deep thrill of this. It was just done out following where life lead her. She smiled and laughed. As the rush filled her cheeks. Her hands held firmly upon the mane. As the horse motioned around the trees and leading into the forest in no real direction. The speed was fast that the tress flashed by and one almost had a rush you might just run into one. Though Laurelin trusted in this beast and the horse was feeling the freedom of its own movements.
She found themselves going deeper into the forest. The thrill was ever so good. As the pace flowed. Laurelin's hand slid back from its mane to its wither and pushed Laurelin up. Her feet coming upon the unsteady back of the horse. As she slowly found her balance through the rush. Laurelin then pushed to stand. As the horse galloped. Laurelin's heart raced as she stood upon it as her hands reached out to the side to help balance. She grinned and laughed. As the rush flowed in waves. Her voiced drove out screams and yells of excitement. As she felt so truly in this moment that was simply not one to be repeated so often. There was every chance this ride now wouldn't last much longer, so Laurelin enjoyed the thrill whilst it was here. Soon came that faint bump in the road that caused Laurelin's footing to become unstable. It caused the horse to flinch more and caused more unsteady movements.
It wasn't long before Laurelin no longer felt the horse underneath. Her body was flung to fly some what through the air, the horse taking off through the forest and Laurelin left to fall. Landing firmly upon her back in a decent patch of grass to help ease the fall. It was still rather painful, but it hadn't been the overly damaging kind. Laurelin fell into a belly laugh as she laid there. Her hands falling to her stomach helping the painful laughs come out. As her head slowly came from spinning in circles from the rush and the almighty fall from grace. As her eyes looked up to see the branches over lapping with a faint hint of the blue sky and it all circling around and around. Settling soon and Laurelin laughed some more as she felt nothing but joy. What a thrill! What a Risk! What a rush! It had ended roughly, but it was all worth it. To get a kick out of life and it was only getting better.
