GREETINGS MEMBERS!!
On day 3 of our festivities, we present an interview with Griff Aubert! This member graced our board several months ago with a variety of muses! Each is unqiue and wonderful in their own way, and we are always amazed and ecstatic that they managed to keep each and every one active! Their creativity and activity is something we feel privileged to have so take a moment to read more about the member behind the many muses that we've all grown to love! - Nickname: Roz
- Is English your first language? Indeed it is
- How long have your been roleplaying for? Erm...a fair few years. I joined one a few years ago and did that for about a year and then joined this one after another few years. So...maybe five/six years since I joined the first one.
- What made you wish to start? I used to write a lot anyway but never showed anyone. And then I just sort of stumbled across my first rp one day and thought "Hmm, this might be alright." Turns out I was right.
- Do you sit at a desk to post, or do you lie in bed? Somewhere else? It varies really. I've got a laptop so it's wherever I happen to be at the time. Most of the time though I'll be in bed because the muses are very nocturnal.
- What other fandoms have you written for? The BBC Robin Hood series and Doctor Who
- What is your favorite person to write for? Erm...out of my lot, either Iwan or Griff. Iwan's probably the easiest to write because he's the most like me, only probably less socially awkward and has better diction. Griff is well, he's Griff. He has lots of issues! And is probably about the same levels of social awkwardness as me, so there's lots of hole-digging. He's basically the easiest to be mean to and that's more fun
- What is your favorite plot that you role played out? Does Caitiff count as a plot? It probably doesn't, despite the fact that they are all kinds of fantastic, and yes, I do say so myself. So...not counting Caitiff, I'd say Gwaine & Iwan going off saving villagers and discussing Iwan's love life, or lack thereof. Gwaine is just so inappropriate, and Iwan's on the verge of a break down
- How did you find this role play? I know the wonderful girl who writes Luc and Rommers. She told me about it and encouraged me to join.
- How did you get into the show Merlin? I pretty much watch any BBC drama. I remember discussing it with the girl who writes Cait before it aired, and saying they need some nice men (because I'm not really shallow or anything). And then we were given Bradley, Colin and Eoin
- Favorite Series/Season? I like them all! Series 1 gave us such wonderful Arthur/Morgana chemistry, series 2 gave us Vivian, series 3 gave us Elena and series 4 was just all kinds of epic. I'll have to be shallow and go for series 3 because Colin had really good hair.
- Favorite Character? Arthur! He's just brilliant, but then we all knew this. I love angsty!Arthur, prat!Arthur, saving-the-world!Arthur. And he has such wonderful, wonderful facial expressions.
- Favorite Episode? Either Sweet Dreams or The Changeling. I just really love Vivian and Elena. They were both fantastic, as was enchanted!Arthur. And the facial expressions!
- Your ship? If we ignore the fact that they were both enchanted at the time, Vivian and Arthur. This is of course mainly for the facial expressions because I'm shallow like that. I used to ship Arthur/Morgana before we knew they were related and also Morgana/Merlin. Just think of the angst!
- What other shows do you love? I would list everything, but it wouldn't be interesting at all, so I shan't. I pretty much watch anything on BBC1 & 2 at nine. Off the top of my head: Doctor Who, Being Human, Hornblower, Rome, Robin Hood, University Challenge. I think that's enough for now
- What books do you favor? Again, another question that will end in a very long list! As helpful as this is, I really do like quite a variety. Off the top of my head, my favourite authors: F. Scott Fitzgerald, Terry Pratchett, Evelyn Waugh, Jane Austen & Agatha Christie. I'm saving an Edith Pargeter novel about Welsh princes for the summer, so that should be fun and at the moment I'm reading Moon Over Soho by Ben Aaronovtich which is all about policeman-wizards solving crime in London.
- Favorite pastime? You mean besides WTC! Erm...writing really. Writing, sketching and cooking. Preferably at the same time.
- Do you collect anything? Theatre tickets, they live on my wall. I also have a collection of wooden coffee stirrers in a shoe box.
- If you were trapped on an island and only could bring one thing, what would it be and why? Erm, gosh, hard question! I'm horrible under pressure so I'd probably panic and then make a list and spend so long perfecting said list I'd run out of time and end up not taking anything. Hopefully I'd remember some food. Can I take a person? I'd take my friend Ben, and we would quote Carry On films and have island-based larks.
- If you could meet any celebrity, who and why? Well I would have answered Harry Lloyd but I've already met him so I will go with my favourite actor/director: Kenneth Branagh. He is just fantastic in every possible way.
- If you could visit the set of any show, movie, or band which one? I would visit the Doctor Who set and steal the Tardis. And have strict words with the Moff about character development.
- Do you have any pets? I have a monkey-faced black and white cat called Ozymandias.
- Favorite colour? Because I am five, I can answer this straight away and say my favourite colour is green. Rather fittingly, my nails at the moment are painted green. The nail varnish is called ninja though, I would have thought green a rather poor colour choice for a ninja.
- Favorite myth or fable? I do like the Arthurian legends quite a lot. Those and Greek myths were always the favourites as a child. Lancey and Jason ftw!
This or That:
- Laptop or Desktop? Laptop
- Day or Night? I going to be all cool and mysterious and say night - purely because it's the only time I ever get anything done.
- Coffee or Tea/Chai? I don't really like either. Well, actually that's a lie. I like green tea and the cold lattes from Waitrose.
- Type or Write? I find I write better when I actually write things by hand, but I'm much too lazy for that.
- Silence or Music? Muuuuusic. Makes the people. Come together. Yeah.
- Introvert or Extrovert? Introvert! Who needs the outside world when you can have a computer screen?

Can I just say how FREAKING AMAZINGLY AWESOME it is that you ship Arthur and Vivian!!! AHAHAHAHH!! I think that's BRILLIANT!! And I LOVE how you mentioned the facial expressions!! Its SOOo very true! Gotta love how expressive Arthur/Bradley is . . . especially when he's enchanted!!! LOVED reading the interview Roz!!
Though I'm not sure how I feel about you not liking tea (because clearly green tea doesn't count!!) . . . I suppose I won't use my kingly powers to banish you . . . we'll just have you get you to like tea . . . SOMEHOW!!

Cait, we knew this already
Arthur, haha! I'm glad you approve. Arthur/Viv were just fantastic - both have exceedingly elastic faces. Please don't banish me! I suffer enough by being an English non-tea drinker!
