The sun was out and shining, the birds were out in force singing and Isolde was happy. Her father had allowed to to go in the forest for a while so she could hunt and meet up with her friends, while he finished up an order for Sir John. Isolde enjoyed helping her father make swords (after years of hassling him to allow her to do so), but she also loved being amongest nature. For being in the forge after a while became too stuffy and unbearable after a long period that one needed to be among some fresh air.
Isolde made her way down the lane between her little dwelling and the forest, before she ventured deeper and deeper in the forest towards the twisted old oak tree. Her and her friend's meeting place and the first tree Isolde managed to climb when she was no more that 6 years old.
She waited for 10 or so minutes for her friends to arrive and thought she heard one approaching her now, for she could hear footsteps coming closer. She looked up, from her spot on one of the fallen branches to see that it wasn't one of her friends, but rather a young girl. She looked no more older than her and looked very disheveled with dirt and mud all over her dress and face. Her eyes were bright red has if she had been crying and she was panting loudly as if she had been running. Running away from someone maybe.
Concern filling her face, Isolde stood up from her spot on the branch and walked a little closer towards the girl. "Are you alright?" She asked her softly, not wanting to frighten her.

It was a beautiful day. Freya wished she could go home but she had been cast out. This was odd for Druids to do because it hardly ever happened. She missed her grandmother, who had died a few years ago, she had always been there when Freya needed her. So now, she had killed a man and his mother had put a curse on her. So, not only was she homeless, she was a monster as well.
She had no control once she turned into this beast either. She hated herself for being a Bastet and she was afraid. She didn't know what was to become of her. She was dangerous and she believed she should be killed but she was afraid also. She didn't want to die and now she was being hunted. She wished people could see that she had no control over her actions when she turned into this beast.
She was wondering through a forest. She didn't even know where she was. She was glad there was a lot of daylight left. She was also glad there were no people around. She hoped she wasn't being followed. She felt as if she hadn't slept or eaten in days. She was hungry and tired. She was all alone and afraid. Suddenly she ran into a girl not much older than her. She stopped. She smiled shyly. She needed help but didn't want to put the girl in danger. "I'm fine," she lied.

Isolde was very good at reading people. She knew when they were telling the truth and she knew when they were lying. And this girl was definitely lying when she told her, "I'm fine."
"Well, excuse me miss, but you do not look fine." Isolde informed her, growing more and more concerned the more she looked at her. She looked tired, hungry, but most all she looked scared and afraid. Isolde could tell though the girl tried her best to hide it. She could see it in her eyes and read it in her face. "In fact, you look very tired, hungry and scared." Isolde stepped closer, hoping that the girl would not run away. So she decided to walk closer to her slowly and gently to not scare her anymore than she looked.
She was about to ask the poor girl if she would like to follow her to house and offer her some food and shelter, when she heard footsteps coming closer towards them. The footsteps edged closer and then stopped before an arrow shot into the air flying towards the girl. Isolde responded quickly and pushed the girl and herself to the ground to safety, causing the arrow to narrowly miss hitting them. Thank god, Isolde thought and then she waited to hear their next move. A few seconds pasted and not hearing anything more, Isolde quickly helped the girl onto her feet and gestured her to hide behind the big oak tree. And with that, Isolde got out her bow and arrow to prepare it. Ready in case they shot at them again, or worse, come out to attack them.
