It was a beautiful day. Freya wished she could go home but she had been cast out. This was odd for Druids to do because it hardly ever happened. She missed her grandmother, who had died a few years ago, she had always been there when Freya needed her. So now, she had killed a man and his mother had put a curse on her. So, not only was she homeless, she was a monster as well.
She had no control once she turned into this beast either. She hated herself for being a Bastet and she was afraid. She didn't know what was to become of her. She was dangerous and she believed she should be killed but she was afraid also. She didn't want to die and now she was being hunted. She wished people could see that she had no control over her actions when she turned into this beast.
She was wondering through a forest. She didn't even know where she was. She was glad there was a lot of daylight left. She was also glad there were no people around. She hoped she wasn't being followed. She felt as if she hadn't slept or eaten in days. She was hungry and tired. She was all alone and afraid. Suddenly she ran into a girl not much older than her. She stopped. She smiled shyly. She needed help but didn't want to put the girl in danger. "I'm fine," she lied.

Freya knew once it was dark that she would have to head home. She was having so much fun. She enjoyed climbing the trees and playing in the dirt. She knew her grandmother would not mind that she'd left as long as she was home in time for dinner. Freya was quite famished as she hadn't eaten much for lunch. She didn't mind being hungry as long as she was having fun. She quickly picked some flowers to give to her grandmother when she arrived home. They were wildflowers and some daisies. Daisies were her grandmother's favorite. Freya loved flowers, they were so pretty and smelt so good. Her white dress now had dirt all over it, which her grandmother would mind. She knew she should have changed before she went out. She had dirt on her face and hands as well. She had a skinned knee from climbing the trees but it didn't look very bad. She knew she should get home soon because the sun was starting to go down so she finished picking her flowers and started home. She stepped carefully going behind the waterfall, knowing her grandmother was probably waiting for her on the other side.

Freya was a beautiful little brunette with dirt on her face. She was small for her age but she had a big heart. She liked to play in the forest and didn't have a care in the world. She was being taught the Druid ways just as her mother had been taught before her. She had lost her mother and father at an early age, but she had been old enough to remember them. They had been robbed and killed by bandits, while on their way back home from town. She missed them all the time. She would never forget them, ever.
Her grandmother had custody of her now. She adored her grandmother, who taught her the ways of the Druids. She enjoyed her teachings. She was very eager to learn. She was an obediant child, always doing as she was told. Her grandmother took good care of her and did a lot for her. She was about twelve years old this year and didn't ever want to grow up. She believed in faeries and knew magic was real. She knew she had magic inside her, as her grandmother had told her many times.
As a Druid, she was very powerful. She inherited magic from her mother and her father, passed down for generations. She didn't use her magic a lot because it was hard to control but she was learning something new every day and soon she would be able to control herself better. She didn't have many friends, but she loved animals. She was often alone or with her grandmother. Her grandmother had taken a nap so she had left out the back door to go play in the nearby forest. It was morning and the birds were singing. She loved the sounds of the forest and could listen to it all day.

Freya had waited so long for the day she would be free from her curse and able to live better. She hadn't figured it would work out like this exactly but she was glad to be free. She never wished to harm anyone and she'd hated herself when she was alive, or at least hated the Bastet. She knew she couldn't have controlled it but she wished she could take it all back somehow. She wished she could somehow get her life back.
At least she was alive, somehow, and she was thankful for that. Although it wasn't much of a life being the Lady of the Lake. She had a destiny to fulfill and she knew this was it. She did miss her old life, or at least parts of it, and she wished she could really be alive again. She missed Merlin and she wished she could see his face again. He always made her feel so happy when she was with him. Yet she felt sad that she couldn't be with him. She'd felt so special and safe when she was with him. It was the best days of her life.

Merlin made her feel special and they fell in love, she trusted him. Freya was loyal to the people she cared about, even returning from the dead to fulfill a promise she'd made to Merlin. She was also selfless and didn't want Merlin to give up his life in Camelot for her sake.
As the Bastet, she was a ruthless killer. She had no control over this though and never meant to harm anyone. However, she did not attack Merlin when she transformed, proving their bond was stronger than the curse. | ~ • ~ | History | ~ • ~ |
.:Birthplace:. Unknown .:Family:. Deceased .:Occupation:.Lady of the Lake .:Current Location of Residence:. The Lake of Avalon .:History:. Freya had lived in a beautiful place with mountains, trees, and a lake before coming to Camelot. A sorcerer had attacked her one day and she killed him in self defence. The sorcerer's mother then cursed her to become a Bastet, a monster that resembled a panther with bat-like wings, on the stroke of midnight every night. As the Bastet she had an insatiable desire to kill that she couldn't control. She was then cast out of the Druid society.
Freya was captured by the bounty hunter, Halig, and taken to Camelot. Merin freed her and hid her in the underground catacombs. He brought her food and told her about his magic. The two fell in love. Her curse resulted in four deaths when she transformed during her stay in Camelot. Merlin had planned to leave Camelot with her but she would not let him. He brought her one of Morgana's dresses to wear. Though she said she would go with him, she attempted to escape on her own. She was then cornered by Halig and Arthur's knights just before her transformation. She killed Halig, however Arthur managed to wound her in her beast form. Merlin caused a distraction and she was able to escape. She met Merlin down in the catacombs, she was fatally wounded. Merlin took her to the nearby lake and she died in his arms. She thanked him for making her feel loved and she promised to repay him someday. Merlin gave her a lovely funeral in a little boat, still wearing Morgana's dress.
When Merlin met The Fisher King, he gave him a gift. The king gave him water from the Lake of Avalon, the same lake Freya was laid to rest in. The king spoke prophetically that "Albion's time of need is near and in that dark hour you must be strong for you alone can save her." He said Merlin wouls need the help which he was giving as well. He then handed him the bottle. After Morgana and Morgause took over Camelot, Merlin attempted to use his magic on the water but it was no use. Then he accidentally dropped the bottle, breaking the glass. He thought he'd just lost Albion's last hope. However, the water glowed and formed a puddle in a rock crevice. When the water settled, Freya's face was shown in the water. Merlin was shocked, but delighted to see her. She told him that she missed him, but time was short and she couldn't explain how she'd become the Lady of the lake. She informed him that only Excalibur could destroy Morgause's immortal army and told him that she would give him the sword to repay him for all he'd done for her. When Merlin traveled to the Lake of Avalon, she gave him the sword though only her arm emerged from the lake.
