An Awkward Encounter [Elenora | Pablo]

Nothing was better than being back at the castle, Nora thought as she made her way towards the library. It was the King's birthday and so every noble was expected to attend and quite frankly Nora was glad for she enjoyed nothing better than coming back to the castle. But most importantly, the library. She spent hours in there, looking for a new book to read. And while Nora read a lot, it still amazed her that there were so many volumes she had yet to read.

She wondered if there was any new volumes that had been added, seeing as Geoffrey, the court librarian had mentioned that he was going to be adding more volumes to the history section. She was too busy thinking that she did not see that there was someone heading towards her. Not until she collided into them, and went flying to the floor.

God, Nora was horrified. She was always a little clumsy and she hated it. But not as much as now as she looked next to her and saw the most handsomest man she had have seen.

Pablo wasn't enjoying the celebrations so much, but he was there. He mainly came to be there as it was King's Birthday and his lovely sister wanted to attend. Following the death of his father, nothing much made him happy, except the smile on his sister's face. Moreover, the Prince of Mercia wanted him and his family to be there and to have fun. So how could Pablo say no to the Prince's and his sister's desire? He would attend.

He woke up in a bad mood and thought that some sword training might do him some good. But first his sister wanted him to retrieve a book from the library. His main weaknesses was his sister. He didn't want his sister to be sad like him. So he went to the library, asked for the book, got it and left the place. He was looking at the book when suddenly he collided into someone. It turned out to be a young lady who had fallen down to the floor after their collision.

Pablo quickly knelt down to make sure if she was alright. "Are you fine my Lady? Let me to help you!" He then extended his hand towards her to help her to stand up.

"Are you fine my Lady? Let me to help you!" The handsome gentleman asked, before extending his hand to help her up which Nora gladly took. "I'm alright, thank you, Sir." She tried her best to smile and not look nervous at all. Truth was her heart was beating like a horse galloping really fast so she tried her best to slow it down.

"I've never seen you here before," Nora ventured to say, before introducing herself to him warmly, "I'm Lady Elenora. But most people call me Nora. And what is your name, kind sir?" Nora asked with a smile. She hoped that she was making a good impression to the gentleman for he certainly was handsome. He had bright sparkling blue eyes, which nicely contrasted with his dark brown hair. Yet there was something in his eyes, a soulful look like he has been through a lot in his life. Nora couldn't stop herself from looking into them. She was entranced.

The young lady accepted his offered help with what looked like a little pleasure. Her hand was so soft and gentle that he wanted to hold it for a long time, but of course he couldn't. So when the lady didn't need his help anymore, he removed his hand gently. Then the young lady started to speak perky and with kindness. "I'm Lady Elenora. But most people call me Nora. And what is your name, kind sir?" Pablo was about to ask for her name, when she introduced herself and asked for his name. "I'm Sir Pablo Dark, my Lady." He responded to her, before he bowed before her, "It's nice to meet you my Lady." Then he grabbed her delicate hand again and kissed it.

It was a strange feeling for Pablo as if but he never held a hand so soft before. And now her eyes were looking at him and had a strange shine to them. He couldn't avoid them, and he didn't want to. "Of course my Lady, you haven't seen me around before. I'm a knight of Mercia." He explained, before he paused for a moment, "Mainly I escort members of the royal family or nobles from Mercia to other kingdoms, such as Camelot." He really didn't like it much, but maybe if Nora wanted to travel to Mercia, he may have the opportunity to spent more time with her and maybe he could holdher hand into his again.

Pablo started to worry again about her and wanted to made sure that she was really alright. "Are you sure my lady that you are alright? You don't want me to accompany you to physician's chambers?"

As soon as the young man removed his hand, Nora felt a little disappointed. Like she wished he could have held it longer. But she was given another opportunity to touch him again when he introduced himself as Sir Pablo Dark, before he bowed and grabbed her hand to place a gentle kiss upon it. Nora could feel her cheeks going slight red in a blush. Rarely did any gentleman's attention give her such feelings and stirrings within.

Nora listened intently and with great interest when Pablo explained that he was a knight from Merica responsible for escorting various nobles from and to the many different kingdoms. "That must be a huge honor," Nora commented lightly, for it sounded to her like a great opportunity for travelling. "Do you enjoy the travel?" Nora wondered what it was like travelling and seeing the different kingdoms. Being a woman, and a noble one and that meant that Nora rarely traveled. But how she wished that she could!

"That must be a huge honor," she was thinking about it like this way. But he didn’t see like a huge honor. He preferred to be all the time next to his King and his young princes to train the young knights.
Ok he was still training the knights, but they had peace in their kingdom this season and the first prince wanted now to train the knights by himself. So this may be a big pleasure to escort the nobles and the royals.

"Yes my Lady I love to travel." and this was the good point. By this way he has met a lot of kingdoms, the life into them and of course a lot of new people, especially ladies. That was the ones who he was escorting most. "It is nice to travel, because I meet a lot odd new people. So I know a lot of nobles in many kingdoms." he added with a friendly smile. "Do you enjoy traveling and meeting new people, my Lady?"

Nora did not miss the level of happiness and excitement Pablo's face expressed as he told her that he loved to travel. Oh how Nora wished that she had the same privilege and pleasure -- though I'm sure someone in his position had a lot of responsibilities as well -- to be able to go to new places and meet interesting people. But her place was here in Camelot to look after her father and their estate for she was the only one left.

"I imagine you do enjoy travelling and having many adventures," Nora commented, her eyes twinkling with excitement. She wanted to learn more about his life and what it was like to be able to travel to new places as a knight.

"It is nice to travel, because I meet a lot odd new people. So I know a lot of nobles in many kingdoms." Pablo further added, giving Nora a friendly smile, one she enjoyed receiving very much. "Do you enjoy traveling and meeting new people, my Lady?" He asked her, causing Nora to laugh.

If only, she thought, before responding, "I do enjoy the pleasure of meeting new people, Sir Pablo. Unfortunately, I only venture out to meet people when I come to visit the castle as my father is too ill and can not run our estate," she paused a little when she began to speak about her father, but summoned her inner strength and continued on, "But I am indeed interested in one day being able to travel. In fact I'm very jealous of you!" She teased him with a smile.

She then asked him, curiously filling her face, "How many places have you been to?"

Lady Elenora was really so friendly with him. She was also such a sweetie but surely she was going to be enough younger than him. Or she maybe wasn't. Pablo was just more mature for his age and it was the first time that he was wondering how old a Lady is! He has met a lot of young ladies in his life, but he never wondered about their age. But why Pablo was suddenly wondering how old is the young Lady and how friendly she is with him!? He said to himself, 'come on Pablo you are here for a reason and not to flirt with this young Lady'.

But he stopped thinking of all these things and his face got serious, when he heard Lady Elenora saying that her father was ill. He didn't know what to do. He already hasn't got a father and he is a bit sensitive when it comes to matters like these. "Oh, sorry. I didn't know that your father is ill. I..." he stopped talking immediately. He was going to tell her that his mother was ill too. He didn't want to do that of course. He didn't want to speak about his family situation.

He tried to relax and continued chatting. "So you get jealous of me!" he added with a curious smile, but full of happiness. She was the first person who told him that she was envy him. "I don't find any reason you to be jealous of me." approached her shortly, like he was going to tell her a secret and said in a low voice, almost like whispering "Some nobles are really boring and demanding" and did again a step back!

"You can say my Lady, that I have been in a lot of places. In the whole Kingdom of Mercia, here at the Kingdom of Camelot and at the Kingdom of Escetia. In these areas I'm traveling most, but I have also been at the Kingdom of Caerleon and at the Kingdom of Graecia." he added with a friendly smile.
