Hey there!
I would love to request a gif banner for this thread. I'm thinking it could have the title of the thread on it on it, and it could use a scene where Elenora is curtsying/smiling. You could use a scene of Sarah Bolger as Lady Mary from The Tudors where she first meets Jane Seymour in season 3 episode 2 (I believe) or whichever one you find.
Secondly, I'd love to request a gif banner for our thread and this time I'm thinking you could use a scene of Sarah as Aurora in Once Upon A Time in the second season when she is in the forest. It's been a while since I watched it, but I'm happy with anything you come up with. Oh and also include the title of the thread on it.
Many thanks

Lady Elenora sits idly in the carriage, reading the latest book her tutor gave her on the healing techniques for curing the sick and ill. Though she has been studying for a few years now, her tutor has insisted that she keep up with the latest developments in healing. Not that she minds anyway, she enjoys reading -- especially now as the last months have not been great in Camelot. The King was now dead and Prince Arthur was now the new ruler of Camelot. While Elenora was not supportive of the late King's ruling methods, she felt for the Prince losing his father. After all, she knows all too well what it is like to lose a parent.
Finally the carriage halts, a sign that Elenora has arrived in the city. Placing her book into her small bag Elenora stands up, and taking the hand of the stable boy she descends from the carriage, where she is greeted by a nervous but smiling Guinevère (or Gwen as most people call her) who bows to her and says "Lady Elenora, welcome."
Elenora returns the bow by curtsying and smiling before greeting her, "Thank you, Lady Guinevère." Though Gwen is not a noble, Elenora considers she benefits the title seeing as her brother is a Knight of Camelot and everyone is aware of her budding romance with the new King of Camelot. "I am happy to be here, though the circumstances are sadly not all pleasant." Posting Banner is made by me and is temporary.

| ~ • ~ | Character Basics | ~ • ~ |
.:Name:. Lady Elenora .:Nick Name:. Nora (by her close friends and family) .:Status:. Nobility .:Age:. 26
| ~ • ~ | Appearance | ~ • ~ |
.:Physical Appearance:. Elenora is 5 foot 6 inches. She has bright blue eyes and pale white skin, which many people compliment her on. She has light brown hair which is naturally wavey, but with the help of her maid she keeps it curly (for public events, such as balls and ceremonies) and up in creative buns and weaves.
Most of the time she wears corseted dresses made by the finest silks, cotton and furs that Camelot and surrounding kingdoms have to offer. However, most of the time she prefers to wear light cotton embroidered dresses in private or when in closed quarters. .:Height:. 5”6 .:Portrayed by:. Sarah Bolger
| ~ • ~ | Personality | ~ • ~ |
.:Personality:. Elenora is a gentle, friendly, kind-hearted woman. Growing up in Uther’s (and later Arthur’s) court as her father was a high ranking knight meant that she was very much privileged, giving her the opportunity to become friends with Arthur. Whilst watching her father train Arthur and the other knights she would watch, wishing she could learn how to fight as well. But alas it is not proper for a woman to participate in such activities.
Instead she decided to spend her time reading many books ranging from history to romance novels, which were banned for a young woman her age. Yet this would not stop her. She has a strong thirst for knowledge and likes to use it to help others whenever she can. Recently she has started to study healing techniques and her teacher has discovered that she is a natural at preparing brews and poultices for the sick. .:Special Skills:. Elenora is a good listener, observant, intelligent and smart (she has a great memory, thus she learnt things every quickly), generous (always treats her maids with respect and kindness) and determined (she tries her hardest and never gives up). Elenora is also very accomplished at sewing and embroidery.
However, she also has weaknesses as well. She can be stubborn especially when she wants to participate in something that her gender prohibits her from doing. She can be a little too trusting, especially as she tends to see the best in people and not always notice when she is being manipulated although she is smart. Sometimes she can be quick witted and people (especially men) take offense to this, meaning she’s had to learn to keep that in check.
| ~ • ~ | History | ~ • ~ |
.:Birthplace:. Camelot .:Family:. Father: Sir Anthony Mother: Lady Annabelle (deceased) Sister: Lady Anne, 21 (deceased) .:Occupation:. Noblewoman .:History:.Elenora is the eldest daughter of Sir Anthony and Lady Anabelle. She has a younger sister, Lady Anne with whom she is very close to. Her mother died after giving birth to her younger sibling after contracting a severe fever after giving birth. This meant that she had to grow up quite fast and became a mother figure to her younger sister (along with their governess).
Growing up, she was very much a book worm and spent most of the time (when she wasn’t trailing after her young sister who was constantly getting into many scrapes or sending time with her tutor) reading as many books as she could get her hands on. She had the tendency to be too quick witted for her tutor and was constantly being told off. But this didn’t stop her from using her knowledge to help the less privileged whenever she could.
Having grown up in court, she became friends with Prince (later King) Arthur, as her father was one of the main knights in charge of the Prince’s training. She was very happy when Arthur announced his engagement to Guinevère and approved as she knew what a kind hearted woman Gwen was (having had Gwen serve her on several occasions as her maid-servant when she was visiting the castle).
She was very happy when she discovered that her younger sister was to marry a nobleman from Gawant. Though she was sad to say goodbye to Anne, she wished her well as her husband could provide well for her. Unfortunately, not long after her sister and her fiancée were wed they both contradicted a deadly virus killing both of them, leaving both her father and herself devastated. Her father shut himself from everyone as his grief overtook him. Thus, leaving it up Elenora to manage the estate’s affairs, a challenge she welcomed though she too was grieving from the loss of her beloved sister.

Lady Elenora was nervous. She felt like a hundred butterflies were fluttering in her stomach. It was the King's ward's birthday and there was to be a feast held for the Lady Morgana. This would be the first time Nora would be allowed to attend such an occasion, now being of age and she was very anxious. What if she made a mistake and made the wrong impression? Everyone who knew Nora, knew what happened when she was nervous -- or indeed not nervous -- she tended to fall over, or trip, anything that ended up making her look clumsy. Well, alright she was clumsy, but people tended to think that she was therefore stupid, when in fact she was not.
Hours turned into minutes which turned into seconds and Nora finally was ready to be presented to court. The page boy announced her entrance and Nora concentrated on everything her governess had taught her, and entered the hall. Everything was going fine, she made sure she nodded to everyone and walked regally with her head high, then the unthinkable happened. She tripped and landed on her stomach, right in front of Lady Morgana and some of the other noble ladies. Mortified, Nora had no idea what to do, she could hear the snickers coming from the ladies and felt so embarrassed. She wanted to get up and run, run far away from there, but she stayed on the floor, still. Like she was paralyzed.

It was mid-day and seeing as it was still mid-winter, everyone was gathered in the Great Hall for a lunch feast. The food, as always, was magnificent -- it had all of Nora's favorites and the wine was divine. Nora knew that her younger sister would be jealous, but she was too young to be out in society yet, so she was back in her chambers with their governess to look after her.
Looking over towards her father, she smiles as she sees him deep in conversation with one of his oldest friends, the Lord of Westhaven - Godfrey Burnell and his wife Lady Marjory. Though they are deep friends, since the Burnell family live a little further than them, she herself rarely sees them. Although, she has developed a little friendship with their daughter Cara and found her to be quite friendly and nice. So they definitely had plenty to talk about with Cara possessing a fair amount of confidence and a full abundance of conversation!
Taking another slip of her goblet, Nora hears someone say hello to her. Looking up, she sees that the source of the voice is Lady Gwyneth. Nora has never met the woman before, rather she had heard of her from the Burnells. She did not know the specifics, just that the Burnells and the Wynters were rivals. Thinking that it is odd that the lady specifically approach her, a few moments pass before Elenora finds her voice, "Hello, Lady Gwyneth - I believe?" She asks, making sure she has the right lady in question.

Caitrin shrugged before explaining that her midwife told her that it was okay as long as she didn't have fish all the time. Nora nodded her head, and listened and laughed a little when Cait joked that her husband would soon tire of hearing the excuse of her being pregnant. It seemed that Caitrin was very lucky to have a loving, dedicated husband and that made her glad. For she was a very kind, compassionate person so far and she deserved a supportive husband, especially seeing as she was a nurse and worked long hours.
As Nora explained the situation of her family, once again the other woman reassured her that her father would be well attended to by the team of nurses and that she would see to that, making a few tears appear in her eyes at Caitrin's generosity. But she quickly vanished them away, by sheer will before they were noticeable.
Instead, she decided to change the focus, "Are your extended families happy about two little babies joining them?" She smiled, hoping that it looked like she was coping somewhat. She didn't want to be a headcase, knowing that Caitrin was busy and probably had a lot of other duties to attend to.

Four years had passed since King Arthur had passed away, leaving his wife Queen Guinevère to rule the kingdom. And while it was so heart-breaking that Arthur had died so young, Nora was proud of everything that the Queen had achieved since his untimely death. However, not everyone agreed and Camelot was facing tough times, with huge threats of a two front war. It was one of the reasons since King Arthur's death that Nora decided to visit the castle more frequently to be of assistance to the Queen and the kingdom. She believed so much in what Gwen was trying to achieve that she felt it her duty to help in any way she could. Though, she was a noble lady, she hoped that she had some skills or knowledge that could be of use.
It was late night, the anniversary of King Arthur's death today and Nora had trouble sleeping -- she could feel a illness coming on her. There was to be a feast to be held to honor the King's life tonight and of course many people would be in attendance.
Not wanting to be sick when she really wanted to attend the feast, she decided to go and see Gaius. So she made her way towards what she thought was the right hall way to his chambers. But it turned out it was rather the longer way of getting there, due to her headache and fogginess, as well as the lack of light, Nora had trouble seeing where she was going. That was until she head footsteps coming towards and 'thump' they collided into her. She tried to look up at who she bumped into, but they were wearing a cloak with the hood up hiding their face, though there was something that felt familiar when she looked into his face. Or what she could see anyway.
He gave a small bow of apology, before he slowly went to walk off. Yet something was holding him back. "Sorry Sir, I did not mean to walk into you." She tried to get up, before another wave of fogginess hit her and she fell back down again.

Both her and her new friend sneaked looks at the two gentleman that were indeed looking their way, they both were quite attractive in looks, which indeed make them both blush. However, it was improper for two ladies to approach the two gentlemen and ask them for a dance, so they waited. Nora taking another slip from her goblet, before she looked up at Xenia.
Her companion drank more of her wine and was about to talk to her about something when the two gentlemen made their way over to them and greeted them with friendly smiles. Xenia did most of the talking, not that it was much and then one of the gentlemen asked her new friend for a dance. Xenia was about to make her way with him when she paused and looked towards Nora, wondering what was wrong. But Nora was speechless, for the other gentleman did not ask her to dance. It looked like he too wanted to dance with the Princess and she did not blame him, for she was a Princess and a beautiful, kind one at that. While, her on the other hand was just an ordinary noble.
The problem was she did not know what to say or do. She was conflicted, for she knew that Xenia wanted to dance -- she could read it on her face, but on the other hand, Nora was having a wonderful time getting to know her and did not want to be separated yet.

Nora did not miss the level of happiness and excitement Pablo's face expressed as he told her that he loved to travel. Oh how Nora wished that she had the same privilege and pleasure -- though I'm sure someone in his position had a lot of responsibilities as well -- to be able to go to new places and meet interesting people. But her place was here in Camelot to look after her father and their estate for she was the only one left.
"I imagine you do enjoy travelling and having many adventures," Nora commented, her eyes twinkling with excitement. She wanted to learn more about his life and what it was like to be able to travel to new places as a knight.
"It is nice to travel, because I meet a lot odd new people. So I know a lot of nobles in many kingdoms." Pablo further added, giving Nora a friendly smile, one she enjoyed receiving very much. "Do you enjoy traveling and meeting new people, my Lady?" He asked her, causing Nora to laugh.
If only, she thought, before responding, "I do enjoy the pleasure of meeting new people, Sir Pablo. Unfortunately, I only venture out to meet people when I come to visit the castle as my father is too ill and can not run our estate," she paused a little when she began to speak about her father, but summoned her inner strength and continued on, "But I am indeed interested in one day being able to travel. In fact I'm very jealous of you!" She teased him with a smile.
She then asked him, curiously filling her face, "How many places have you been to?"

“Well, do not hesitate to do so in the future.” Her dear friend told her sincerely, before she rested the top of her head against her adorable son's brown hair, “I can always leave my little rabble under the watchful eye of their father if you ever need any help.” Nora laughed at that, "I promise you, if I need any assistance I will contact you." And indeed she would, however at the same time she did not want to cause any disturbance if it was not serious. "Though, I feel a little sorry for Griff to be left in charge of of your brood." And it was true and one of the main reasons she was considerate when it came to contacting her.
Caitrin then told her with wide grin adoring her lovely face that her nights will be interrupted again in time "Does this mean you are hoping to expand your family?" Nora asked happily for she knew what a good mother Caitrin was and how hands-on and dedicated she was to their care and happiness. she only hoped if she ever became a wife and mother that she would be a great mother like her friend.
Nora felt Caitrin's reassuring smile when she mentioned her dear, beloved sister. She had a feeling that Caitrin did not remember much of her seeing as her sister ventured out in society not that much before her unexpected death.
“I hope so, he’ll have to speak loudly to get a word in edge-ways with these two.” Caitrin answered and little Esmae and Arthur looked up at her; Esmae gave a knowing grin while little Arthur just blushed again. Alfie, in the meanwhile looked like he enjoyed being in his mother's arms. Nora giggled, "No doubt he will find a way to make himself heard."
Nora smiled widely as both the twins jumped up at the prospect of going outside, their mother just rolled her eyes at them before she set tiny Alfie down so he could walk the short journey to the gardens. Caitrin did not hold his hand as he already was with his brother and sister. Leaving nothing for Nora to do but to walk with their mother. “Thank you for all this effort Nora, you really don’t have to just for us.” Caitrin complimented her, before she smiled at her.
"It's my pleasure," Nora returned her friend's smile with one of her own. She just hoped that Caitrin and her children liked the preparations she had made. She had her maids and servants set up a little tent with a nice cotton blanket and many wooden toys set up inside for the children to play in, as well as a blanket outside set with food and drinks. She also made sure that their stable hand prepared some foals for the children in case they wanted to go for a ride.
“We picked the right day for it, wouldn’t you say?”
"Indeed we did," Nora smiled broadly, before asking, "I hope it is alirght that I asked our stable hand to bring out the foals? I thought the children might enjoy a little ride."

She realized that she may of offended him when he said that saving Arthur had never been about debits. "Indeed. I was only jesting," Clearly Nora need more practice in that, she thought to herself, "I can tell that you did what you thought was right. No wonder Arthur knighted you," She complimented him, hoping that he would understand her meaning this time. God, she went from being flirtatious to possibly offending in seconds. No wonder she was still unmarried!
And it was at times like these that she wished her sister was with her. She would have known how to act and what to say. Unlike her.
“I fear my tales probably won’t be as interesting as tales that your father told you.” Sir Gwaine shrugged a little, and Nora went to reassure him, "Indeed not. I love hearing tales of different places and different people, their lives." She explained to him with a hint of wish-fullness. She found being a noble boring at times. She would love to be able to travel to different places and meet new people and learn about their lives. But she could not, especially with her dear father being ill and him and the estate needing close attention.
“My life was rather repetitive before Merlin and Arthur appeared in it. Though there are a few tales I can spin for you.” He went to say and Nora once again found this gentleman so interesting. How he could be confident and charming one minute and doubt his fascinating life.
"I do not believe that for one minute," Nora disagreed with him, "I'm sure your life before Arthur and Merlin appeared in it is far more interesting that my life." She smiled up at him, hoping that he would tell her something, some tale of his life before he appeared in Camelot.

The young man inclined his head in thanks before saying, "You seem to know far more of these ways than I, my Lady, and I thank you for your advice; I will try to keep to it." This was only because Nora was born a noble, but obviously Nora decided to word it better than that -- she was not some kind of snob, "Only because I've had years of practice, Young Mordred," Nora hoped that he didn't take offense to calling him that. She could not help it though, there was something about him that made him seem so very young and yet so very mature. She could tell that Mordred was very interested to hear about her connection to their king. "It seems strange to think of the King as anything but the great King he is now," he admitted to her softly, before he glanced his way to King Arthur, which Nora did as well. "Yes, it is indeed. But I can think of no better King that him." Nora held the King in high esteem for he was always loyal to his people. And loyalty was a trait that Nora greatly admired in people.
Nora listened with a sympathetic ear as Mordred explained his doubts in the King knighting him, though he was grateful for his kindness and honor in knighting him, but wondered if he saw something in him that was not there. "Oh Sir Mordred, let me tell you something. The King does not just knight anyone. He knights men who he feels have the loyalty, honor and inner nobility in their duty in protecting Camelot and all its people. Regardless of their station..." Nora ended her speech as she realized that there was still a factor of nobility that still did agree with the King knighting commoners.
Once again, he apologized and Nora tapped him on the arm, "You don't need to apologize. It's understandable for you to be feeling uncertain about His Majesty's decision, but you need to have faith in him. He does not take this decisions lightly."

“I am indeed very lucky my Lady, that I carry some very happy memories with me.” Nora smiled at that, but did not miss the hint of the man having not so quite happy memories. She wouldn't ask him about it though, he didn't seem the type of person to talk about sad memories or experiences.
She listened with a keen interest as he went on about what he did before he encountered Arthur and his man-servant Merlin. She giggled as she said that if it wasn't for him, neither of them would have gotten out with their lives. "Well then they owe you a great debit. But I guess that has been given, seeing as you are now a knight," She told him a little flirtatiously, making Nora wonder how on earth this man managed to bring out this side to her. Usually she was nervous and just made a fool out of herself.
Then he asked her if she was boring him and Nora's head fell back as she laughed. "Indeed not, Sir Gwaine. I'm enjoying hearing your tales and would love to hear more." Nora told him eagerly, before she continued to explain, "My father, Sir Anthony was a knight and growing up he would tell my sister and I the most fascinating tales that has has gripped to our seats." It was true, there were times when her father would gather around her sister's bed and hear his tales battling bandits and all kinds of magical beasts. It was the best part of her days really, hearing her father talk so openly and animatedly.

Nora smiled warmly as Sir Mordred explained that he was new to the etiquette especially when speaking to nobles like her self. "Well, I ensure you Sir Mordred, that it won't take long to learn. Just remember to be yourself and the rest will come to you." She hoped that would give him something to hold on to so he wouldn't be nervous anymore.
He then asked her how she knew the King, before back-tracking to apologize for prying into her life. "It's fine," She assured him, "My father was one of the knights that trained him while he was learning to become a knight. And sometimes when I was little I would watch them practice and that's how I got to know King Arthur." She explained before asking him a question of her own, "How is being a knight going?" She hoped talking about this subject might make him feel a little more comfortable, seeing as it was a title he had earned.

As soon as the young man removed his hand, Nora felt a little disappointed. Like she wished he could have held it longer. But she was given another opportunity to touch him again when he introduced himself as Sir Pablo Dark, before he bowed and grabbed her hand to place a gentle kiss upon it. Nora could feel her cheeks going slight red in a blush. Rarely did any gentleman's attention give her such feelings and stirrings within.
Nora listened intently and with great interest when Pablo explained that he was a knight from Merica responsible for escorting various nobles from and to the many different kingdoms. "That must be a huge honor," Nora commented lightly, for it sounded to her like a great opportunity for travelling. "Do you enjoy the travel?" Nora wondered what it was like travelling and seeing the different kingdoms. Being a woman, and a noble one and that meant that Nora rarely traveled. But how she wished that she could!

Sir Mordred smiled warmly back to Nora, but she did not miss the note of nervous in his expression. For she knew it all to well, having been somewhat nervous when out in society. Mainly when it came to the opposite sex, but now she had became more confident and that was due to spending more time with others. For they say practice makes perfect.
He told her her it was a pleasure to meet her and Nora grinned back at the young gentleman, especially when he gave her a little nod of his head. She listened intently while he told her that he was having a good time, but a little lost when being amongest so many people which Nora could understand. Though, then he paused and started to backtrack and Nora had an idea why.
"You need not explain it to me, my dear. I have some experience in feeling a little lost at social engagements." Nora tried to reassure the young man.

Nora did not miss the way Gwaine grinned at her, before whipping his head back, causing his glorious hair to swing backwards and forwards. She had a feeling that he did this to every woman and made them go weak in the knees. And she was no exception! She was positively growing more giddy the more he spoke to her.
“That, my Lady, is only the start of the story.” He winked at her then before flashing her a broad grin that certainly made her knees weaken even more. If that was possible. "I bet," She managed to get out before he mentioned to her that it was all true and that it was still here after all. Further proving his point by gesturing to himself. "You're lucky then," she laughed, tipping her head backwards. Then he mentioned filling her in on more details and Nora smiled nervously wondering if he meant privately.
"Indeed, I am very intrigued to hear your whole story. If you have the time that is..." She answered him confidently, which was odd seeing as she was never this confident. Not usually. What the hell was happening to her?
