"Stop the carriage. I want to have my lunch in this spot of the forest. It looks quite beautiful." Polyxena ordered her men. She came out of the carriage and waited for the servants to prepare her place where she could sit and have her lunch. She was traveling and this was the second day of her journey to Mercia. The servants told her that everything was ready and she could have her lunch. Contented, she grabbed her book and sat down against a pillar. She finished reading a page of the book, before she decided to eat because she hasn't had anything all the day.
The journey to Mercia was a bit tiring for her. It has been a year since she took over ruling her kingdom and organizing the agreements with the other kingdoms. Her father was very ill and couldn't rule the kingdom. She didn't want to be Queen yet, but she was going to be. It was time, however, Polyxena was the only royal member in her family. She has many responsibilities now, and she didn't have much time to have fun or to travel to meet old friends. She really missed that.
She was enjoying her meal, when suddenly she heard something in the bushes. She turned to see, but there was nothing there. So she listened again for the noise and heard it again. She ordered one of her guards to go and check it out.

The current area was prime pickings for a good hunt, and as Mordred went about the task, he tried not to think of his rumbling belly nor of the death which would bring about its end. Often he would feel guilty for murdrering an animal so he may eat, but nonetheless, he had to eat to survive. And not surviving was simply not an option. The druid sighed softly as he heard something, freezing, his eyes flickering back and forth, trying to deduce the sound.
Picking his way carefully through the forest, Mordred paused as his eyes chanced upon a Lady, sat against a piller, happily eating away. At the sight of the food, the druid's stomach grumbled loudly. Taking a slow breath, the druid moved slightly, to hide himself further in the trees. As he stepped back, however, his right foot caught upon a branch, causing it to snap. A silent curse left Mordred's lips as he saw armed men suddenly begin to move, realising they must have heard him. He shied back into the darkness, praying they would not find him.

Xenia was looking at the forest, to see what will happen. She had sent two of her guards to go and check. It could be just an animal and in the end maybe she was feeling scared for no reason. But it could be also a thief who wanted to make an attack. Anyway her guards were into the forest and if was a person they were going to arrest him and bring him in front of her. Her maid tried to calm her down, because she could see her fear in her eyes. Later she gave her a piece of apple pie, her favorite sweet. "Thank you, Daizy."
After a few minutes, the guards made their appearance and a young man was with them. She couldn't calm herself, because she was having her lunch and the appearance of a young unknown man was scary. She stood up and tried to hide her disruption. The guards said that they found him in the forest hiding behind a tree. Polyxena looked at the young man and tried to speak with calmness. "Who are you? What do you want? Are you scouting us?"

The druid held back a curse to the Gods as he was pulled from his hiding spot by the unknown traveller's guards, and brought before her. Bowing his head in respect, he hoped the gesture would prove worth hsi while, and that she would let him go, eventually. In a soft voice, Mordred spoke. "My Lady, please forgive me for startling you. I am a traveller, on my way to Camelot." he was not exactly being honest, but to speak Morgana's name so close to Camelot was most likely to ask for death, something that Mordred was less than keen to meet just yet.
After a moment, the druid boy slid one foot forward, into a kneel, hoping the gesture would be enough to suade the woman he meant no ill intentions. "I mean you no harm, Lady. I saw your guard and hid, for I know that strangers are not always welcome in these lands. I did not wish to cause distress.
