The Dark Tower - Discuss! (SPOILERS!)

Why would Morgana enchant her if she had spent all that time trying to manipulate her loyalties? She could have just done that in the first place? I think that she is being incredibly manipulated by Morgana, but im not sure if being enchanted comes into it? Idk, everyone has their breaking point, and it all felt a bit disjointed so perhaps she finally did break.

This isn't a character flaw though if you ask me, it shows her determination to hang onto her sanity, and shows that it took so much to get her to bend. Im hoping that the writers are going to link this back to Morgana's betrayal of her friends and family as well, like Nim said, its the same kind of pattern. We don't know what Morgause did to Morgana, and regardless of what followed, it would be interesting to see how her loyalties were twisted.

THAT itself is why a lot of Morgana's plans are flawed. I used the example of Lancelot situation, and I think that can be compared to this. When she brought back Lancelot, Gwen didn't lust after him so Morgana was forced to use magic. I always say that Morgana constantly underestimates Guinevère's strength and resilience. She tried to use her own sob story to gain sympathy, and when Guinevère STILL wasn't like "Oh poor you. I'll be your best friend now" I think Morgana went to more extreme measures. It is just WAY too drastic of a character change for Guinevère to suddenly want to kill Arthur when she told Morgana she wanted no part of her game.

A lot of her plans are extremely flawed, and that of course can be blamed on the writers and such. But in this case, I don't think Guinevère is suddenly going to turn over to her side after all she's done to her, and everyone else. No one wants to side with Morgana these days, because she's become SO lost in her purpose and so corrupted. Even Mordred couldn't side with her. Every ally she's had, has turned sides because she's so obsessed with vengeance. Her lack of justification is, again, something that can be blamed on the writers because I will always think her transition to the dark side was poorly done. BUT in this particular episode, I don't think Guinevère's transition is genuine. I SAY SORCERY!! *says it in an Uther voice*

That's why I think her transition to the dark side (Morgana's I mean) has been done by something that will NOW be revealed by Gwen's supposed transition to the dark side. That was what I mean xD Not that the writers have done it poorly, but that they held out all this time with something they will now reveal with Gwen

Hmmm, that would be interesting!! I dunno, I still don't think that Morgause used any form of powerful magic to sway Morgana to her side. We saw their interactions, and it was built up for a few episodes. I think Morgause knew just what to say to her, and after Morgana was poisoned by Merlin, suddenly had the need for revenge against everyone. What I DO think, is that Guinevère's 'transition to the dark side' can be compared to Agravaine's. In a deleted scene, we saw him proclaim his undying love for Morgana, and it just seemed SO random!

That was something that was never properly explained: why Agravaine sided with Morgana. His hate for Uther is understandable, but his hate for Arthur never made sense. (Well, technically neither does Morgana's, but still!!) I would say that this Guinevère thing is more similar to the Agravaine one, and I SERIOUSLY hope they explain why Agravaine was like that! Because he had NO backstory whatsoever!! Growing up with Arthur and being close to him, to suddenly wanting him dead and seeing his half sister who Agravaine has no relation to on the throne! I hope they clarify that, and I think this situation with Gwen could be similar to that!!

Oh really??!! I never saw that deleted scene, but I guessed as much in the way Agravaine treated her after she was injured by the old Merlin. Yeah... there are a FEW loose ends that still need explanation. I guess we will see what the next eps bring xD Just one thing is for sure, Gwen can't kill Arthur as much as she'd want (or forced to want ), cause he's destined to be killed by Mordred, right? ^^

YEAH!!! There are a BUNCH of deleted scenes and that was one of them!! I was like "WTF" but it definitely showed that something wasn't right in his reason for siding with Morgana !!

HAHAHAH THATS TRUE!!!! LMAO!! thats so sad!!! Its like "we know you won't get killed by your wife, because you'll be murdered by one of your brothers of heart!" HAHAHA WOW! Poor guy !! But yeah, I think Gwen is definitely going to fight it! She is NOT weak minded in the least so I have total faith in her!! Morgana's spell can't stop making her love him and ARWEN LOVE BREAKS SPELLS!!! AHHH CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT WEEK!!!

I wish they hadn't killed him, he could have done so much more!!!! We deserved more GWELYAN SCENES!!!
I agree with Arthur though, I think Morgana must have enchanted her especially while she was vulnerable over Elyan's death WHICH TOTALLY SHOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED!!! *SOB*

ELYAN!!! GOOD GOSH I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR THAT!!!! HE IS NOT DEAD! HE IS NOT DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HE WILL BE BACK, SOMEHOW!!!!! OMG THAT WAS SO HARD TO WATCH!! I freaking cried and I NEVER cry during shows and movies!! THAT WAS JUST TERRIBLE!! BROKE MY HEART!!!! *CLINGS TO ELYAN* That was one of the HARDEST scenes I ever had to watch in my life!!! Still thinking about it makes me CRAZY SAD

Im still in the sense of, "Ok....WHAT JUST HAPPENED HERE???!!!" I'm just as stunned as everyone else is about Elyan!
