Lunete was riding the horse instead of in the carriage. Mostly because the horse gave her a chance to see what was going on around her. They had been traveling for three days, and she had about had enough of HIM. Since they were getting close to the estate they would be staying at for the night, she was refusing to ride int he carriage for another moment! She wanted to see the great wide world! She wanted to ride the horse fast and feel the wind! She wanted an adventure!
Yet, her 'knight in too shiny armor' was set on keeping her from having any fun! Galahad should have been the one to let her ride off and have some fun before she married his brother; but instead he was set on annoying her. Just as she was set on avoiding him. If he rode near her, she slowed her horse; if he slowed his she sped up slightly. She liked Galahad (perhaps a little too much) but sometimes she wasn't sure if he was trying to be her friend or foe! Sometimes she wanted to kick him in the shins, and sometimes she wanted to push him in a lake! . . . and other times--Shaking her head she refused to give it voice. THAT though was only there when she was feeling lonely. Because most of the time, he was her friend. When his annoying goals were pointed at someone else!

we live TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY Galahad was having far too much fun. He had practically grown up teasing Lunete and now, with him technically in charge of the escort that was taking her on this trip . . . well, he was certainly using that to his advantage. Deep down, he knew why he gave her a hard time. When he was a child, it had been because well, it was just the way that he was. But as he grew older, it started to change. Started to shift into something else. Something . . . deeper. He knew he could never act on it. She would at the very most be his sister by marriage -- his brother's marriage. And that was all it could ever be. But he was hardly discouraged. If nothing else, he would continue to overcompensate and tease her . . . as a brother should his sister.
As they began to near the estate, he raised a hand to stop the group. He then moved his horse directly in front of her to block her own, and her path. He had not failed to notice the change in her pace, according to how he moved. He was going to get her back. "You need to go into the carriage," he told her, looking at Lunete expectantly. He knew she preferred to ride on horseback. "As the future wife of the heir to the throne, it would hardly look appropriate to ride in as you are." He was half making it up, half speaking the truth. She was to be the future queen of the kingdom. And, Galahad was making a point to hold up the entire escort until she complied. Even still, there was a smirk upon his lips, a frequent expression he wore . . . especially around her.

Lunete drew her horse to a stop when he so arrogantly blocked her way! Sometimes she wanted to just run him over with the carriage. Even when he smirked at her, and make her insides heat. She wished his brother made her feel that, but he didn't. Lunete figured it would take some time. A slow build up to their marriage. That was all this was, pre-marriage thoughts of wanting her freedom to choose her own life. She didn't just want to be queen, she wanted to be able to ride into which ever estate she wanted however she wanted!
"Well," She began, turning her horse sideways so she moved closer to him, "AS the future wife, of the future king, you should obey me and stop trying to make your head the first I take off!" It was a joke, even though her tone was exasperated, and they both knew it. They both knew that she had grown up with his teasing and it was common for her to mockingly threaten his life in various ways.
However, what was different this time was when she smacked the back of his horse causing it to rear up as she rode quickly around him and continued on her way. "I hope you fall!" She called back, but didn't bother to look--the knave was too good of a rider, and she knew it. Darn it!

we live TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY Galahad just smirked at her response of threat. "How naive, that you think you have authority over me." A clear taunt in his voice. To anyone else, it may sound like treason indeed, but considering the nature of his relationship with Lunete . . . this was all very normal for them. Galahad nearly lost his position when she suddenly hit his horse, causing it to rear up. He quickly braced himself, pulling on the reins and patting the side of the animal to calm it down from the sudden gesture.
He just watched her as she walked forward, one of the knights near the front of the group speaking up. "Sire, shouldn't we foll--" "No." His answer immediate, knowing what he was going to say. And as Galahad was in charge of this little brigade, his gave command. So instead, while the others just remained still, Galahad pulled out his most trusted weapon. It was one that he had since a child, and perhaps one that he was most deadly with. Reaching into his pouch for a pebble -- he was prepared -- he set it into the sling shot, drew back the string and then let it loose, returning the favor as the small stone hit Lunete's horse on its backside.

Lunete felt her horse jerk up and herself being tossed back. Since she had not been expecting it, she didn't even have time to brace herself! One moment she was sitting on her horse, knowing he was glaring at her back (or so she assumed that he would be doing! Little did she know--or believe that he'd actually risk her life by doing something stupid!
While she had done it to him, she knew he'd never fall. His skill was many times greater then her own.
Lunete found her back hitting the ground, knocking the breth fromh er for a few seconds. Gasping her eyes flew to her horse, which was galloping ahead! Turning to her side, she pushed up as best as she could with her breathing still labored and her backside bruised! Glaring at him, she wasn't so sure she was kidding when she thought about killing him this time! "One day, I will hang you for treason!" She bit out, knowing that HAD she been queen he could have been.
