Hello. I'm new so I figure I should make an introduction here though I doubt it'll be as long as some of the ones I've seen on here ^^;

Well I shall start by saying my name is Stephanie and I'm 20 years old. And I live in Michigan.

I came here in hopes of having all kinds of fun an stuff.
I like to write and love to role play and I absolutely love to read.
My favorite things to read are anything fantasy or King Arthur related lol. In fact I think currently I have about 20 different King Arthur related books in my room, all of which ARE different of course no matter what my sister says and makes fun of me for. XD

I role play a lot but it's always just with friends on AIM or in a notebook so I'm quite new to this forum RPing and I hope no one here will be upset about that kind of thing. I've seen VERY snippy sites like that and it scares me. DX

Greetings everyone!

My name in RL is Ashley but I go by a variety of things: Ash, Ashleymae, Mae, and Gwyn (which happens to be a favourite character's name of mine to use on rp sites).

It is an honour to be here, as I enjoy both Merlin and Arthurian fanfiction. I do think an important aspect to having writing partners is letting a bit (not too much) known to who *we* would be writing with. That way *we* can all be on equal terms and, hopefully, have no squabbles here and there.

Before I delve completely into a brief background I need to mention that while I hail from the US, most of the books I have read and/or own (my room is literally flooded with them) have been published in the UK and so, starting from a very young age, I have adopted most British writing habits. For example I find it difficult to spell 'colour' as we Americans do.

Education wise, I am currently a senior in high school (younger than my classmates), living in Michigan. Next year I plan to attend University with a major in History and a minor in Medieval History. After that I plan to return to the same University to gain my Masters in Medieval History. From there I hope to gain a PhD of History at Cambridge, if I have enough money at the time. If not, I'd likely continue on with my planned University. For those of you who are curious the University in which I speak is Western Michigan.

Writing wise, I have been doing it since I was first taught to write a story. And I have adopted several language styles throughout the past, as I love reading material from the early 1900s and before.

Roleplay wise, I have been doing it for over five years now.

Out of all genres I prefer fantasy and historical fiction, although I am known to dabble here and there in horror and Doctor Who and Torchwood fanfiction.

Most of my inspiration comes from the Celts, Norse, Greeks, Romans - including the Medieval, Renaissance, Elizabethan, Baroque, Regency, Victorian, and Edwardian periods. Of course certain legends also serve as inspiration, Robyn Hode and Arthurian things mostly.

Some of my favourite people in history, who often serve as great inspiration vary, the most notable being: Boudika, Empress Matilda, Eleanor of Aquitaine, Richard the Lionhearted, William Wallace, Jacques de Molay, everyone involved in the Wars of the Roses, Henry VIII, Elizabeth I, and of course Queen Victoria.

I have, over the years, taught myself to speak Latin and read/translate into the Ancient Norse Runes of which have served as Tolkien's inspiration behind the Dwarf Runes.

My favourite type of music is Classical, but I also am deeply in love with Rock - they are really the only two I listen to. Yes I know very well how contradicting I am!

I have a hobby of collecting first printing books. My other hobby is graphics and I'll do them for you if you want one or some.

Well, this should be the first order of business on any new place xD I usually go by my handle name but if you don't want to call me that, my name is Leigh (or Lee). I'm 26 and have been RPing since I was very young (about 11-12 I can't remember exactly when I started but it was around there) although that was mainly though AOL and yahoo chats, once I discovered message boards, I like it a little more.

I've moved all over the place in the USA, although I am not a military brat by any means, my mother just had a thing for wanting to try different jobs that required her to move a lot. Currently, and for the past 7 years I've lived in Virginia and while it's okay, it's not the best place for people with allergies (there is pollen everywhere).

I know that I've started late in life for the profession I seek, but I am currently in college with a focus on wanting to become a psychiatrist all the while trying to keep up writing my own novels and hoping to get something published sometime this summer Or at least get it out there to get published. I've always been a big fan of fantasy, myths and legends and since I was younger and I've always had a soft spot for Arthurian legends (the earliest memory I have is through the musical Camelot and a handful of books I've read) so when I saw a review for Merlin on the internet I was intrigued and had to see it.


Favorite Animal: I'd have to say that this is a toss-up between either wolves, peregrine falcons, foxes and ferrets.
Favorite Color: Green and purple

I have too much music as it is (currently about 30,000 songs)

I feel a little awkward about posting right after the last person to apply for Mordred, but... yeah. Thought I should introduce myself anyway.

I'd rather not give my real name ooh aren't I mysterious. You can call me Quetzal if you don't wanna call me Mordred, since that's what I go by on a bunch of other sites. A quetzal is a type of bird, by the way. I'm seventeen and I live in the south of England. This means that of course I am best friends with the Queen, the Doctor and Sherlock Holmes, I drink tea all the time, I wear a monocle and have a butler. I live about ten minutes from the river Thames and an hour or two's drive from Stonehenge (I really suck a geography and have no idea where anything is but I drove past it once and I think that was how long the drive had lasted).When I was younger I was convinced that in medieval times Camelot had been somewhere nearby and that Merlin would probably come along one day and make me his apprentice. Sadly, that never happened. Still waiting on my Hogwarts letter, too.

Right now I've just finished my exams, and I'm studying biology, chemistry and physics for my A levels (they're a qualification that takes two years and are sort of done in two one-year stages, AS and A2. Universities and employers judge people on them. I think). I was studying history, but I've swapped that recently for maths. Doing a two year maths course in a year. Yay. Unlike most people on here, I'm not really a creative sort of person, I'm a sciencey person. I either want to study veterinary medicine or physics (possibly with astrophysics, particle physics, cosmology or astronomy) at Cambridge, London or Manchester universities, maybe some others but I haven't made a decision yet. I need to soon. I want to be either a vet or a physicist in the future.

As for my hobbies, I enjoy reading but I never have much time to do that. Been able to read more now exams are over. I also like playing the violin and piano, playing video games, and acting. I'm a member of an amateur dramatics theatre youth group so I get to be in plays all the time. It's fun.

Favorite Animal: I want to say dumbo octopus because they look funny, but it's probably either a wolf or an olm. Changes all the time.
Favorite Color: Red? (the blood of angry men)
Favorite Book: This one I know for definite! The His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman.
Favorite Movie: I have no idea. There's a long list of films that I like (from pretty much every genre except horror and romance) but I can't think of any I like more than the rest.
Favorite TV Show: Merlin (duh), Doctor Who, Modern Family, The Hour (if anyone's ever seen the Hour I love you so much please let's talk about how amazing it was and how they shouldn't have cancelled it and left it where they did).
Favorite Song: Again, don't know. I'm quite fussy with music and there isn't a particular genre I like. I have a habit of finally finding a few songs I like then playing them until I hate them. At the moment, I like Over Hill by Howard Shore (from the Hobbit soundtrack), and a lot of stuff by Jonathan Coulton.
Favorite Food: Chocolate, strawberries, pasta... I'm a vegetarian, too. I'm not a preachy kind of vegetarian, though, I just don't like meat that much so thought I might as well stop eating it.

Hey there,

I'm Chi, well at least that's the name I go by in many places on the net.
Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, THOC, Deviant Art etc.

I'm from the netherlands and I am nearly 30 years old. That said my hobbies are photoshopping, webdesign and roleplaying. However I am not your everyday board roleplayer. To be quite honest I've never participated in a group roleplay. Most of the times I roleplay over skype, google talk, messengers so to say.

The reason for this is because the personal contact makes it easier to reply, or know when there has been replied to. Board roleplaying often appears to me, as a less active way to roleplay than directly with a partner on your private messenger.

However, I've been lurking here for nearly a year now not really using this account much but then I thought oh well what the heck right? Let's see what I can do here.

I've already send a P.M to the lord or lady of the house Camelot with a few suggestions.

So what else can I tell you about myself? Well as I said I am a webdesigner I run one of the largest media Merlin fanpages next to Merlin's Keep. Different than FarFarAway I focus only on the Merlin fandom and stay updated on what the actors are doing now. Hoping to share that knowledge across the net with the other fans.

Merlin's Myth and Magic

This is my baby really, it has over 36.000 images and 9000 videos on there and counting. All Merlin or Merlin Cast related. But I'm not here to promote my site really, so if you're interested have a look for yourself by clicking on Merlin's Myth and Magic above.

So let's get to the little list;

My favorite animal? Well that would definately be a cat. In specifics I love Black Panthers. I think they are beautiful, mysterious and elegegant. Like most cat creatures are. I used to have 3 cat's unfortunately only 1 of them is left who also goes by the name Chi. The other two I have had to say my goodbye's too. Which was one of the most difficult things in my life I can assure you.

My favorite color? Dark blue, or Marine Blue. I like the kind of blue closest to black. But Black is not a color really hehe so Blue it is.

Favourite book? I'm afraid I'll have to pass on this one as I really don't have one anymore. When I was a little girl I had a book called "Dances with the wolves" yes it's the same story as the movie. But that was when I was about 12 years old. Nowadays I don't really read anymore.

Favorite Movie? Had you asked me that about 10 years ago I would have still answered The Matrix. I was a total fan of Neo and I love all 3 parts of the Matrix. But then today it's very hard to choose. I don't really have one single movie to call my favourite anymore. There are so many good movies out there. For example "Pacific Rim" was an amazing movie. "Enders Game" is a definate must see. And well not to forget "The avengers" which is a blast.
But I think of all movies in all the time I have seen, the one I will always remember would be "Shawshank Redemption".

Favorite TV Show? You need to ask
I'm here aren't I? BBC's Merlin, although recently I have also gotten more involved in Doctor Who and Sherlock.
Whate else do I watch? Hmm that's a lot to name but let's give it a try. Hey Everyone! I'm new so I figured I should follow in everybody else's footsteps and introduce myself. My name is Abbey, but you can call me Abs or whatever nickname you come up with if you like

I love reading and writing and anything to do with the fantasy genre, which is why I love Merlin so much. I am on several RP sites for many different fandoms and I absolutely love it, I think it's a great way to communicate with other writers and people who enjoy the same things as you.

My favourite character in Merlin is Morgana, because I feel like what happened to her was tragic, and that it could have been prevented, if someone just stepped forward and helped her, before it was too late. Anyway, if you wish to discuss an RP with me please do so! I really love Merlin so I'm excited to roleplay it
