Victoire was born in Venice, Italy. Her family were a Noble family, but she doesn't know that. At the age of five, a man named Maldor Montague kidnapped her for ransom. When they gave him the money for her back, he instead took her and raised her as his own child. Maldor fled from Venice to Cenred, Baldor, and occasionally Camelot.

The two never stayed in one place for long. He taught her everything he knew on their travels. How to steal, lie, fight, to read, everything that a good thief should know. Around the age of thirteen, they discovered that Victoire could use magic. Maldor thought this of a a great gift and went and took her to study with a few friends of his. She became a talented Sorceress and was soon called the Bandit Mage.
