"Elyan." He noted the formality of his voice, but he was a prince after all. Elyan didn't expect anything less. "I was hoping that I could speak to you for a few moments, if you are not to busy." Elyan wanted to tell the Prince that he was busy, very busy in fact, but that was a lie. The sword he had left to cool would take hours before he could carry on working on it again. The truth was he had been dreading this conversation. He didn't know how to act. Should he act the strong older brother, or the loyal servant? He decided both, if it was possible, but he had never been good at planning things. He was just going to have to make it up as he went along, just as he always did. It was going to be a long and awkward conversation, and Elyan had never been good with awkward.
"Of course, my lord," Elyan stepped aside, "Come in." Elyan made a note of the nervous look in Arthur's eyes. Surely the Prince of Camelot wasn't nervous about talking to him? It made him feel uneasy, for this man had faced monsters and wars. If he was nervous about meeting Elyan, what could he possibly think of him. For Arthur to turn up at his doorstep too, in his forge asking; actually asking to be allowed in... well that alone actually made him smile slightly, because who but Gwen could turn an arrogrant prince into the polite man he saw before him.
He tried to gather his thoughts. The Prince had obviously come to talk about the events of the past days. Elyan still had no idea how the Prince was going to broach the subject of his relationship with his sister. He certaintly didn't want any details, it was his sister they were going to talk about after all, he just wanted her safe, and could that happen with Arthur?

Elyan was deep in concentration while he was moulding the sword in front of him. It was all he could do to keep himself from thinking and over thinking about the previous days. He had never been so afraid in his life. Sword fighting and being captured with his life hanging in the balance felt like nothing compared to his sister facing execution. He knew he had been acting more protective over her recently, but he couldn't help it. She was his sister and it was his duty to protect her. The previous days have only been proof to how poorly he had been doing his job. He knew his father would have been dissapointed in him.
He had just left the sword to cool when a knock sounded from the door. He was visibly startled, he wasn't expecting anyone. He made his way to the door to tell whoever it was that he was busy and wasn't in the mood for whatever they had to say. He was shocked to find the Prince of Camelot in front of him. He bowed quickly muttering "My lord." He may have been gone for four years but he hadn't forgotten his manners. He knew he shouldn't be as shocked as he was. He had been expecting a visit from the Prince after the last few days who was nothing if not courteous, it was just a matter of when.
He still had no idea what to think of the prince. He knew he was definitely brave and courageous and of course a masterful warrior. But of his relationship with Guinevère, he didn't know what to think. He couldn't blame him for what happened, but he wasn't stupid enough to deny that their relationship was dangerous. He couldn't exactly tell the prince to stop seeing his sister and asking his stubborn sister to stop seeing the prince was out of the question. And who was he to tell her who and who not to love after not being there for her for four years? It would be to bold of him to try to control her life; as if she'd let him anyway.

| ~ ⢠~ | History | ~ ⢠~ |
.:Birthplace:. Lower towns of Camelot .:Family:. His father Tom and his younger sister Guinevère .:Occupation:. Town blacksmith and Knight of Camelot .:Current Location of Residence:. Camelot City .:History:. Elyan was the first child of the blacksmith Tom and his wife. Elyan was close to his mother and loved her. So, he was very affected by her death. It taught him that he needed to appreciate life to the fullest and live in the moment. His father and he had to raise his younger sister after his motherâs death which made him feel very constricted and boxed in.
From a young age, Elyan always got into trouble. It was usually by accident or âbeing in the wrong place at the wrong timeâ. Heâd usually be chastised by his father and even his sister as they grew older. He was always described as a âtroublesome dreamerâ by most of the townspeople who would send him home to his father after a good telling off. He was very vocal about his ambitions to leave Camelot at home, which lead to a very volatile relationship between him and his father. They would argue constantly, his father accusing him of being selfish for having such thoughts. After a particularly heated argument he decided to finally leave Camelot, despite his sisterâs protests.
He travelled across Albion over the course of four years. Although he loved every experience, he never stayed put for long. His longest stay was in the Kingdom of Escetia where he stayed there for six months working as a blacksmith in one of the villages. It was near the end of his stay when he was captured by Cenredâs men in an effort to lure his sister and eventually kill Arthur Pendragon. He spent most of his imprisonment in Cenred's dungeons, and later was accompanied by his sister before Cenred released her to capture Arthur for him. They were all able to eventually escape. Elyan was also observant enough to see the relationship between Arthur and Gwen. He then returned to Camelot to live with his sister, also taking over his father's Blacksmith
When Camelot was attacked by an immortal army, Elyan was able to survive. He and Arthur along with Merlin and Gwaine went into the castle to find his sister. After Elyan and Gwaine informed Arthur that Uther, was being dragged into the throne room, Arthur ordered them to get Gaius and they escaped, while Arthur and Merlin witnessed Morgana's coronation. Elyan was later knighted by Arthur and sat with him on the round table along with his other allies and helped him rescue Uther and Camelot.
A year later he was part of a group of knights who discovered and were attacked by Morgana in a wasteland. He also helped Percival save the lives of some children from the Dorocha. He was later part Arthurâs most trusted knights who accompanied Arthur when they went to the Isle of the Blessed to stop the Dorocha. He accompanied the knights and Arthur when they were hunting the dragon's egg and even joined in on a joke they played on Merlin. This resulted in him being poisoned along with the rest of the knights, but he was saved by Merlin's magic. When Camelot went out to battle Caerleon, Elyan along with his fellow knights professed their loyalty to Arthur saying they would die for him.
Elyan was one of the knights who were seduced by the Lamia, succumbing to her kiss. He was found the next morning by the knights and was brought to his sister who was extremely worried about him. When the Lamia was eventually killed, Elyan got better. Later when the knights were out on patrol, and Gwaine had drank all of Elyanâs water, Elyan drank water from a cursed well, unleashing a spirit. The spirit influenced Elyan eventually putting Elyan in its power. The spirit then told Elyan he had to kill the king. After Elyanâs failed attempt the spirit said he had failed him visibly tormenting Elyan. Merlin then freed Elyan in a plan to exorcise him but the spirit warned Elyan, who knocked Merlin out. Elyan then tried to kill Arthur again with a crossbow, but missed, but he began sword fighting with Arthur, now completely possessed and speaking with the childâs voice. Arthur overpowered him but let him run. Arthur was told by Gaius whoever had wronged the spirit would have to be punished, so he left the castle at night to find it with Merlin following. Arthur travelled to the shrine and called the spirit. He knelt down threw his sword away, revealing that he had led the raid on the Druid camp. Arthur, filled with guilt, explained how he had been young and inexperienced and was still haunted by the memory and sincerely sorry. He then promised that the Druids would be treated with the respect in the future, finally giving the spirit peace, and so the spirit forgave him. He released Elyan, who fainted but was fine.
When Morgana and Helios attacked Camelot, Elyan discovered Agravaine leading invaders realising Agravaine had betrayed them. However, Morgana knocked Elyan out before he could kill Agravaine. Elyan later with Percival helped Merlin hide Arthur but Morgana caught up with them. After Percival disappeared, Elyan stayed behind to buy Merlin and Arthur time and was caught. Morgana interrogated Elyan to find out where Arthur was, but Elyan wouldnât tell her anything. Morgana then used a Nathair serpent to, torture him. Elyan was catatonic by the time he joined Gwaine and Gaius in the dungeons.
Elyan recovered slightly after a few days, he was able function properly again, and when the guards came for Gwaine to make him for food, he wanted to help but was too weak. After Gwaine won, Elyan gave the food to Gaius, though Gaius refused it telling him not to waste his food on him. However Elyan refused to take the bread back from him. Elyan was later rescued by Percival and Leon when they came back to save Camelot and joked about being trapped in a cell with Gwaine for a week. He later cheered for his sister, Gwen as she was crowned Queen of Camelot.
