He hardly seemed to react to her words, and she was unsure how she felt about that. Still overwhelmed yes, for the joy of seeing him well was incomparable to any other feeling. Yet... he seemed so disinterested in her. In who she was that knew his father. She wondered if she should reveal her own self, and felt it may be the only way to gain his attention. For even when the men lied for her reason for captivity, Alistair still did not question it. He only asked about another man... that Korrina feared he would just leave if she did not make more of an effort to reach out to him. This time, it was not only to save herself, but to introduce him to something that he may not know: the existance of a sister.
Her eyes never left his face, as a tear slowly trailed down her cheek. She was already a rather emotional woman and this... right now... seeing him... was causing so many emotions to run through her heart. She knew it would be safest to continue to speak in druid, so that the men could not follow along with their conversation. I am Korrina, she revealed, pausing before finishing her statement. Daughter of Tristram.

Korrina's eyes went to the man that joined them. Not only went to him, locked to him. There was something about him that felt... she was unsure. Perhaps it was just the trauma of what was happening that was clouding her judgment and feelings. It wasn't until one of them spoke his name that her body numbed. Frozen in place... not that she could go anywhere anyway. But the name. The appearance. Alistair. Alistair; her brother. Now she knew what it was about him. He looked just like his father. Her father. Their father. That strong presence, the features in his face. Yes. He was her brother. Fate. Fate had guided them on the same path and finally... Korrina understood the purpose of this. She understood why she had been kidnapped. It was not her time to die. But it had been a way to reunite her with her brother.
Her wide eyes began to moisten with tears at the impact of this moment. How she had longed to meet him, and she knew their father felt the same. She was unsure if either of her parents were alive, but believed in her heart that they were. That Tristram was still in search of his son, and when he found him... he would be with his sister. She had heard many things about Alistiar, and in the moment did not think of what dark connection he may have that made him know these men. She could only think of that overwhelming happiness at finally meeting her beloved sibling. The shock did not subside, but finally, her lips parted to speak. Though he paid little attention to her... her entire focus was singled in on him. You are Alistair, son of Tristram? she asked in a gentle voice, using their druid language so that he would know that she of his culture... and soon would know that she was also of his blood.

Korrina knew it was futile to struggle but she could not help it. She may lack physical strength and not know spells of the kind that would be useful at the moment... but should she just wait here then? Wait for the men to try and extract information? She knew why they were keeping her alive. Either they would torture her or they were waiting for someone to come find her. She hoped that they did not get the chance to do either, and from the moment she had been captured... she'd been praying for someone to come. Someone who would be a match for these men, and only one man came to mind. One name and the only man in her life that she would pray for in a moment such a this: Connor. She did not wish for him to endanger himself for her... but she also knew that he could easily render each man unconscious, long enough to free her. Since Korrina did not condone violence or well, murder.
In the meantime, she would continue to try and twist her wrists, which surely must be bruised with burns by now, while the men spoke amongst themselves. Should she beg for her life? It may come to that if there was no alternative. Korrina did not want to die... nor could she give up the location of the crystal. It was in a safe place... though she did not trust herself under the influence of... whatever methods of persuasion they would dare use. So in the meantime, she prayed. Prayed for some sort of means to grant her freedom from captivity. Pray that her life did not end at the hands of these misguided men.

Korrina was running as fast as she could.. which was sadly not a rarity for her. Only this time, she could hear the thundering of hooves as a distance far closer than desired. The men had managed to find her and were hunting her, like a hunter to its prey. The only thing that kept her moving in this moments was the adrenaline shooting through her body. She knew that if she stopped, she would feel the exhaustion all at once. Which was why she could not. Not until she found proper shelter. Considering she was in the middle of the woods however, made it quite difficult. Her head would turn back every so often, ensuring that they were not in sight... though could be heard. It didn't help that she was forced to leave her darker cloak, and now only had her white dress, stained with dirt. Not exactly the most inconspicuous garment when being hunted.
But alas, what choice did she have? So long as the crystal, which was carefully wrapped in her white veil and in a bag that she carried, was safe and still out of possession from those who would seek to use it for evil purposes. That was all that mattered. Hope suddenly flickered in the young woman's eyes when she saw a cave up ahead. She hurried into it, sliding over the ground and rested her back against the wall of the dark cave. The sun would set in a matter of a couple of hours which made her all the more pressed for time. She closed her eyes, trying to steady her heavy breathing, and her hard beating heart pounding in her chest. Just breathe... just breathe... . No longer did she hear the sound of men's cries or horses.
But the sound that replaced them was less than reassuring. She heard a screeching noise, and turned to see a creature. Her eyes widened as she staggered out of the cave. Had she known creatures better, she would have recognized it as a cockatrice. But it mattered not its name nor its nature. What mattered is the way it advanced toward her. She stumbled back, tripping over a root and falling to the ground. The fear paralyzed her, and all she could do was stare up at the creature as took position, readying its attack.. preparing to pounce on her and claim her life.

Nadya mad not keep the company of many men, but she knew what they were like. Dismissive of their injuries. And it only motivated her further to care for them. Her husband was much the same way, though he seldom had reason to become injured... mostly by accident during his work. I come from no town she admitted. I am a traveler. My companions are.... Her eyes looked around, having no idea where they were. She was not the navigator of the group. So she was unaware as to which direction they were in... though she had some hope when he said that they were to go west. At least his sense of direction was far more keen than her own. Where do you come from? She asked, wondering where his own village was... and what he was doing in the middle of the woods. but the latter question was irrelevant.
He had saved her life, and that was far more important to recognize than whatever motives he had for being out here. And seemingly prepared for the dangers that lurked within the Forest of Balor. She heard the screech of another serket, indicating that there were more nearby. She felt that familiar fear surge through her, yet not to such a great extent... for he was here. And she felt more protected for the time being. We must hurry then She agreed, though still waiting for him to lead the way. He had said west, and that was the direction that she turned her body toward, in preparation to make another run for it.

Nadya was so focused on moving away from the serkets, that when she heard the rustling of leaves behind her... she assumed it was them. Which only made her go faster. But then she felt an arm move around her waist and pull her to him. She gasped, and probably would have screamed had he not covered her mouth. Her surprise was evident in her widened eyes, staring at the man who had saved her. Oh... how utterly foolish of her! In running from the serkets, she was running toward them at the same time! Despite his heroic actions, the discomfort of his touch made her heart beat faster. As she was not used to having another man's hands on her... not since her husband's. Even if it was not intimate, she was still modest and... well, he let her go so no harm was done. Before she could catch her breath they needed to apparently hurry in another direction.
Wh-Which way should we go? She asked, telling him that he would be the one who needs to take the lead for she had no idea where she was going. Her people were nearby, at the same time... even while he had saved her life, were his intentions truly noble? Would it be safe to have him around her children and the other few companions they traveled with? Your hand! She suddenly realized, looking at the blistering area of it. Was that because of her? Oh dear! Whatever his intentions, noble or not, she did not wish anyone to get hurt for her. Is there another path to return from where we came? Where her basket was. She had the necessary herbs for healing... as it was better to use that method first before relying on magic and thus, exposing her true heritage. These were dangerous times... not only because of magical creatures, but because of those who hunted practitioners of magic too... like her.

Just when Nadya was uttering her final prayers... she heard the sound of, something. She was not certain how to describe it. It caused her to jolt her head up to see one of the creatures catch fire. Her eyes widened with surprise, knowing that even in this distressed state, it was no coincidence. A voice pulled her out of her shock and she abruptly turned her head to see a man. A, rather tall man. Who looked even more towering over her petite figure when she was curled up in a ball preparing for her death. Or, maybe not. It took her a few additional seconds to realize what he was saying... run. She rose to her feet and glanced at him. Part of her wondered if she should leave him, yet the other part, the more dominant part, knew that he was capable of taking care of himself. Besides, what could she possibly do? And so she ran. She ran as fast as her adrenaline could force her legs to move.
She wanted to thank him for saving her life... so couldn't help but keep turning her head behind her to see if he would follow. Was he injured? Was he well? Would he be severely wounded in the attempt to save her? Nadya was used to being on the run, but she was not used to being alone. Maybe it was cowardly of her, but she was accustomed to being around people. Family. And now she was alone, running in whatever direction seemed most convenient and furthest from the serkets. Not entirely wise but she was alive... thanks to this stranger who had come just in the nick of time.

It was afternoon and Nadya was in a rare circumstance. She was alone. She did not often stray from her people, as small as the group she was with was. There was only her, her two children, and about five other druids. But they were traveling in the hopes to encounter another druid camp. So that they could all unite and remain together. Safety in numbers after all. And in such dark times, no one should be alone. But for the moment, she was. She had a basket she had created out of sticks and twigs so that she could put the plants and flowers she was collecting to make medicine. One of the companions she was traveling with was feeling unwell. She knew just the remedy to make, however the plants were obscure. Yet no place offered them better than the Forest of Balor. A place of danger, but for now, one of necessity as they must go through it in order to get to their grander destination. But to say that Nadya was unscared, would be a lie. The forest of Balor had a reputation for hosting some of the most dangerous and vicious creatures of magic.
Ones that thus far, she had been fortunate not to make acquaintance with. But every snapping of a branch made her jolt her head up and search her surroundings. Every distant sound of an animal, made her freeze with fear. She had no strength when it came to defense... other than running. She hurried her actions, quickly gathering as much as she could so she could return swiftly to the others. However, as she was doing so she heard a sound... this one different from all the others she'd heard. Because it was louder, indicating that it was closer in proximity. She felt her entire body paralyze with fear, forcing her in a state of trepidation and fear at what that screeching sound was. She slowly turned around, her already wide eyes even wider when she saw what awaited her. Scorpions; or serkets as they were more commonly known. Not one, not even two... but a group of four of them. She held her breath, hoping that her still movement would direct their attentions elsewhere.
But no. They saw her; she was within their target range. They advanced closer toward her, and so, Nadya did the only thing she could do. She dropped the basket, and ran. Ran as fast as her feet could carry her. She would either be an easy victim for them by remaining still and awaiting her death. Or she could have that semblance of hope by running. The fear had clouded her judgment, or perhaps enhanced it, for she was running in the opposite direction of the camp. Her sense of her surroundings was not overly keen, so as she ran in whatever direction she took... little did she realize she was getting more lost as she raced deeper into the woods. It was to no avail either, for the serkets moved quicker than her, and soon, they surrounded her. Encircling her, so that there was no where left to run. A predator, narrowing in on its pray. She felt tears form in her eyes as she fell to her knees, curling into a small ball. In these last moments, she prayed for her children, for her family, for her people... and for a quick and painless death.

Alistair asked if their father was a alive and she gave a soft smile, with a gentle nod of her head. He is searching for you. Him and her mother. While Adara was not Alistair's mother, she was devoted to her husband. For Tristram had spoken of how he'd lost his first wife. And many years later, he was graced with another love. Bringing Nadya to this world, and now able to meet her brother. His druid tongue was flawless and it made her feel all the more comfortable in his presence. More so, now that the language could be spoken freely. Without fearing the consequences of exposing themselves and to which culture they belonged to. For it was no longer a hunted one. They were free... and now, they were together. Alistair, she repeated. Saying the name before had never been as rewarding as it was now. To say it in his presence... to feel the fraternal bond. Prala. But none as rewarding as that word. For spoken in their language, it added more sentiment to the already powerful word of their bond.
Tatcho. It was. Very much so. And words could not express what she felt in these overpowering moments. She gave another small nod, knowing that she would have to find her tongue and keep speaking. Mishto hom me dikava tute. And while that was an understatement, it was never the less true. Tu yéckorus leshya'e mandi's dui chiknos. Maybe that would help him refresh where he had seen them. For his earlier question seemed to raise confusion. And it also revealed that he not only had a sister, but two nephews. You made sure we stayed together. During an attack. She had been so afraid that she would lose one of her sons, as she had her husband during one such attack. But Alistair, her brother, made sure they stayed united. Had I known then who you were... She never would have been so dismissive of him.
It is good to see you You once helped my two sons

It wasn't until he started speaking that more surprise came to Nadya. His voice was so familiar, and she found herself searching her mind to determine where she had heard such a voice. Her eyes fixated themselves on his face. Underneath his long locks... there was familiarity. Not only in regards to how he was the image of his father, but also... because they had met once before. She opened her mouth to speak, but in slightly parting her lips no sound came out. It was him. He was her brother?! After all these years she had longed to see him, she had already met him. And so unaware! Now under these circumstances... she could tell, and feel, it was her brother. But before, things had been so chaotic that she had not stopped to think. She had been too panicked about her boys. Which, Alistair had reunited her with.
He had brought them together during the commotion... and while she had never known the man's name who'd aided her, she'd always felt gratitude toward him. Now, she knew it was her brother. And wished that the time of their separation had not lingered so. Arva. She was not going to lie. For they had indeed made previous acquaintance. They just hadn't realized who the other was. We met once, before. Words were difficult to get out in the presence of her brother. A man she had wished to see for so long. Perhaps it best the explore that reality, before focusing on their brief past in crossing paths. He then asked if she was Tristram's daughter and she slowly nodded her head.
My father is Tristram and my mother is Adara. Is, not was. For they were still alive. She truly believed, they were still alive. Even if she had not received word from them since their departure... it was her faith that kept her strong. Devlesa araklam tume. Because her prayers had been answered. First by encountering Guinevère and Arthur in the woods. A path that led her to this one. She tried to keep her voice composed by there was a slight tremble in it... out of pure realization of what this moment meant. Of how they had found each other. Mandi's nav hi Nadya. She did not know how much he knew of him... to it was best to give formal introduction.
Yes It is with God that we found you My name is Nadya

Nadya felt her heart racing even faster, and forced it to calm down enough when she saw the door open. Now standing in the room, she gazed upon her brother. Unable to speak for so many emotions hit her in these moments. How he reminded her of her their father. He was tall and had a strong build. And had such a tremendous presence. Tristram had always made Nadya feel protected and secure. For he valued family, just as she did. She could see that radiate from Alistair as well. That strength and power... he was truly his father's son. Nadya felt her eyes well with tears and while she did not sob, few escaped her eyes of their own will. For her whole life she had heard of her brother. And now... here he was. And just from looking at him, just from having known their father... she knew it was him. She knew it was Alistair; son of Tristram.
Reminding herself to be respectful (as until their father was found, Alistair was the head of the family), she lowered her eyes and nodded her head. A form of respect to the head male in any family. And to further this respect, she added words. Prala. She could not stray her gaze for too long though, and her eyes raised to meet him once more. Being an emotional woman, she was never good at suppressing them. So when small tears continued to build in her eyes, she let them fall. How I longed and prayed for this day to come. Her voice was soft, just barley above a whisper. For the sentiment and strength of this reunion, or meeting rather, was so very overwhelming.

Camelot have become the safest place for druids. Whoever thought that such a day would come. Whereas Camelot had once been a place most hunted for her people, it was now a place of peace. Nadya of course held no objections to this. She was immensely happy that they no longer had to run for their lives. That they did not have to travel from camp to camp, wondering if it would be a safe place for her. As well, it was not the most ideal way to raise her children. Always on the run. She wanted the world to be a safe place for them, and thankfully, no harm had come to them. She'd lost a husband, and them a father. But they were not the only ones who'd suffered loss. And Nadya prayed for those people, every single day.
But to dwell in the past hindered the progress of the future. With things safe in this kingdom, she wanted to be reunited with her mother and father (somehow) and of course the brother she had never met. She wanted them all to be together, to be a family. She wanted her children to know their grandparents, and for them to know their uncle. Family was after all, was most important. And Nadya never trivialized its significance just because their family was not around. She would tell her children stories of their uncle (that she had heard from her father) as well as those of their grandparents and father. It made them excited to meet their relatives one day, and Nadya truly believed that this was not an impossibility. Not when she prayed for it every day. The value of prayer, would not go unheard.
She was currently walking along the streets, gathering a few herbs. The day was sunny with clear skies and she took advantage of it by appreciating the liberty to walk through the woods, without fear of being deemed fugitive. She did not stray far from the camp however. Just because they were no longer hunted, didn't mean there were not slave traders, bandits, creatures and other threats out there. Her magic was no protection against such threats, nor were her skills. Humming a soft tune, she had been so lost in her purpose, and it wasn't until she heard the sounds of a horse that she looked up, and saw two riders on two beautiful horses. Nadya's eyes widened and she dropped her gatherings out of surprise for not having seen them sooner. For she was now directly blocking their path.
She never claimed to be a decent hunter, nor was she able to pick up on the sounds around the forest. A few moments of daydreaming... led to this now. When the shock seemed to partially subside, her gaze dropped to the floor. Apologies, she stated, feeling a blush creep on her cheeks out of embarrassment. She then fell to her knees, quickly picking up what she had dropped. A further cause of embarrassment to herself. I will... be out of your way, in one moment. How foolish she must look! Not having realized where she was going, then having dropped the content of her hands, and now further hindering their travels by kneeling in front of them to pick up her fallen herbs! Surely, this could not get more humiliating for her.

To say she was nervous, was an vast understatement. Nadya was nervous. Very nervous. Petrified! Though she supposed the fear was the good sort. For years, she had heard of her strong older brother. Fighting to defend the druids and trying to help free the people from persecution. While she did not condone the use of violence... she admired his courage. Though all stories were ceased when he seemingly disappeared from this world. She'd feared the worst: death. But no. He was very much alive, and thanks to the graces of the king and queen of Camelot, she would meet him. Always knowing him in spirit, and ensuring that her sons did too... only now to meet him in the flesh. She could feel her heart beating and her emotions all over the place. Her brother. Alistair. All the years spent waiting for this single moment. She was excited, and.... not sure what to expect. From what the lovely Guinevère had told her, Alistair was not the typical druid.
It sounded as both a blessing and a curse. But regardless, she loved her brother. For he was her family. A part of her heart had always been reserved for him, and now... she could be whole again. Ramon and Tristrum had fallen asleep, which was probably for the best. As she wished to make introduction at a more convenient hour. Right now, it was late and they would surely meet their uncle soon. Both boys were quite thrilled about it. After only knowing him in spirit for so long, and losing their father at an early age (as well as hardly knowing their grandfather)... they were desperate for that male guidance in life. Something Nadya could not provide them with. Something that she prayed Alistair would be willing to offer them. Placing a light blue veil over her head out of respect, Nadya kissed both their boys as they slept. Guinevère assured her that they would be well protected, and the compassionate woman had not done anything to deem herself untrustworthy. So
Nadya of course entrusted the caring woman. The room that they had been giving were not at all what Nadya was used to. Quite honestly, it scared her a little. For she valued the simplicity and the simplistic lifestyle she lived. It was part of her culture. So to be thrust in such an extreme alternative... was overwhelming. Her boys certainly had no complaints, and for that, she stayed in the kindly offered temporary quarters. But now the time had come to meet him. Once she was presentable she was escorted to a small sitting room where she would be given the privacy to meet Alistair. Her brother. Upon entering she patiently waited by the chair, gracefully sitting though she felt so restless in these moments. That was when she heard footsteps approaching. Heavy footsteps. It caused her heart to beat faster and her breathes become heavier. He was coming. He was near approaching. She rose to her feet and waited for the doors to open... the doors that would soon reveal her beloved brother.

.:Birthplace:. A small druid camp in Albion .:Family:. Father: Tristram, Mother: Adara, Half-Brother: Alistair .:Occupation:. Druid, nomad .:Current Location of Residence:. Is traveling .:History:. Korrina was born was the only daughter to her father Tristram and her mother Adara. She was born and raised in a druid village, and this was the only life that she knew. It was what she was most comfortable in and never sought to broaden her horizon. She enjoyed the peace and stability it provided her with, and became extremely close to all those that lived in this camp with her. From a young age she was told of a brother she had named Alistair, though details of him were never given. She prayed one day that she would meet him, but it had never been a focus in her life. Growing in a druid camp, she did learn the ways of her people and held very strong value and importance on her culture and beliefs. She became very spiritual and devout in the practicing of the ways of the druids and held these close to heart.
Though she obviously knew the dangers of being too public about this. Her father did not stay in the village for all too long, for he heard of the existence of his son. He soon ventured to find him, leaving Korrina and her mother in the protection of the druid clan they were with. Among their travels, never staying in one place too long, fate set them on the path of a crystal that everyone seemed in search of. They came across a corpse, his possession revealing who he was: Tauren. The druids took the crystal into their possession, protecting it so that it would not land in the hands of those who would use it for evil and violence. It was Korinna's duty to protect the crystal and she would do so at the best of her ability. What they didn't know, was that Tauren's men would be searching for the crystal, as would other notorious men such as Alvarr. Once word reached that the druids had the crystal, their camp was attacked.
Korrina had been out gathering herbs and saw just enough to see that everyone was either dead or had fled. The only people she saw, where the men. She dropped everything and ran. Ran as fast as she could, to fulfill the duty she was destined to. She managed to evade the men that day, but she is a hunted woman. Not used to being on her own and having no coin, she struggled to survive. She runs most hours of the day and must find a place in the woods to rest for a few hours before she returns to her travels. She is desperate to find the druids, though fears bringing danger to them from the men who are after her. Still, she knows it is her only hope and prays she finds another druid camp before its too late.
