Nimueh had an urge to do two things. One, to hiss at the naive, ignorant man, blundering into her plot like a child. The second was to laugh manically at his stupidity. The latter was the action she chose. Her laughter echoed through the woods, causing many woodland animals to flee in terror. "Oh you pitiful thing." She sneered. "Why would the most powerful creature for miles around be afraid of the miniscule 'dangers' of this-" she paused, looking for a fitting adjective to describe this place. She looked at her surroundings curiously. "-this ancient, tired wood?" Nimueh shook her head in disbelief, and picked up a cloak that was lying on a nearby branch. She cast the cloak over her basin, not wanting the man to recognize ancient, dark magic.
Nimueh narrowed her eyes as she strutted toward the man, knowing her aura represented great power. It was not often that living things ventured near her- she radiated a force that subconsciously made one want to flee without hesitation. "What is your name, child?" Her deep voice commanded. She knew very well his name was Vaughn, however admitting the extent of her powers was not an act she favored to perform. "You could be of great use to me, brave warrior." Nimueh knew full well she didn't need magic to persuade a man. Her beauty was like no other, a magic of its own sort.

Loud chanting echoed throughout the forest. Nimueh's voice became louder and louder as she felt great power stir inside her. The feeling of magic within one'sself was like nothing else. She felt as though no other force in the world could overpower her. She was earth, fire, water and wind. She was the animals of the land, the rushing waters of the rivers and the strong stone of the caves. Nimueh was everything and anything. Her breathing came heavy as her voice grew louder than immagically possible.
Nimueh looked down upon her stone basin, which was filled with crimson blood. The liquid swirled in a whirlpool, the very centre of the basin untouched by red. At that center, an image of Merlin the young warlock played. It was difficult to see what he was doing, but as Nimueh's incantation continued, the image grew larger and larger. Entire concetration and focus was required for this sort of Seeing. A smile played upon the sorceress' lips as the image was one inch away from revealing what Merlin was doing at that exact moment.
Crack
Nimueh's concentration had been broken, and immediately Merlin disappeared, and the blood turned back into water. Nimueh hissed in frustration as her head whipped around. Tall trees surrounded her, many perfect hiding places included. "Come out, come out, wherever you are!" Nimueh sung maliciously.

Nimeh would never admit this, but at times she wishes she had someone else like herself to share her power and glory with.

.:History:. Twenty years prior to Merlin arriving in Camelot, Nimueh was a friend of Uther and Ygraine Pendragon
. She was a High Priestess of the Old Religion, and practised magic with Gaius. Uther and Ygraine were unable to conceive a child, and Uther felt he hadno choice but to use magic to do so. He asked Gaius te request Nimueh and make Ygraine pregnant. Nimueh did so succesfully. Dowever, in the laws of the Old Religion, in order for a life to be created, a life must also be taken. Ygraine was the life to be taken.
Uther blamed magic and Nimueh for his loss, and began to execute all those who practised magic. Nimueh was banished from the court, before vowing revenge for all the sorcerers who had been murdered.
