She was unhurt; that made him relax some. He had wondered if he found her in time. Between the flash of color that he had followed and finding her surrounded by men, he was unsure what all happened to her. He was not sure what he should be asking first, who she really was--WHAT--she really was. What she was here. Or the famous 'start from the beginning'!
He reached a hand up to brush her hair back from one of her ears. "What are you?" He asked, slightly confused. He knew of other non-human type creatures but had not known some could take human form. Or was she human? Was there more to this world then he knew? How much more was there, and what did this mean for them?

Once she was on the horse, he kicked it into speed and starting riding hard out of the city. It would take a good day's ride to get out of the kingdom, and he would not feel safe until she was safely away. Why was she even here? He felt her hanging on, so he did not think twice about his speed. If she was about to fall he would feel her grip slacken, and that was when he would worry.
He did not slow to look behind him; but after a while of riding hard out of the city, over the meadows and coming to a small patch of trees; he slowed. He knew they were to far from her horse to worry about going back for it and he he hoped she was not attached to it. He dismounted and held his hands up for her. "The horse needs rest, and I need answers." He told her, explaining why he had stopped.
He did not know what question to ask first, there were to many of them. Who (or what) was she? Why was she here; and why was she 'here'? He held on to her a moment after helping her dismount, to make sure she was steady on her feet. "Did they hurt you?"

He turned to look at her when she said she was just going to the woods. What then? She was just going to sit there and wait to be found? Really? "I am going with you, dearest, and making sure you get out of here before you loose more then your cape." He told her before pulling her along a little faster. He paused when he got to the other side, and looked over to where his horse was. "Stay here." He told her, and then he walked casually across the open lane to get his horse.
He untied the best, and paid the man who was watching it; before he walked it back over near the entrance to the lane. Mounting the large best he looked around to make sure it was clear before holding his hand do to her. "Quickly, before your friends decide to join us." So far they were avoiding them, but if they doubted back them they would be screwed. He was out numbered, and in a kingdom knowing for street fights.

He was glad when she started moving but that quickly turned to an annoyed form of urgency. She was WALKING! They men were going to put out the fire and come looking for blood and she was walking---and stopping! "We can no stop, you need to keep going." He demand, but could see she was out of breath. He was used to the woods, and running and going for miles if he had to; she did not appear used to it.
"Give this to me, the color stands out to much." He took her cape thing from her shoulders and, walked back out into the market, placing it over a basket cart riding by. With luck they men would see it, and chase the cart for a while before seeing it was a decoy. He pulled off his coat, and started to put it on her to hide her dress color; but he paused when he noticed her ears. He knew they did not have time for him to ask questions, so he tucked it away for when they were safe. "You mistress mystery, should not be here." He told her as he moved to take her hand, and pull her deeper into the ally and down the back ways. "Were is your horse?"

Curious, Dayton had followed the flash of color deeper into the market. However, after not seeing it again he was about to turn around and leave. Cenred was not exactly the vacation hot spot now days, and he was out numbered here. He turned, and saw a few men running to something. That was when he caught sight of it again. The color. He jogged a few steps closer and saw a woman there, int he mist of the men. They were making jeers and talking about riches.
He knew her face, and was shocked to see her . . . looking so young! He stared at her for a long for moments, filled with shock at her having nor aged over the course of over ten years. Finally he shook his head and knew this was not good. He rolled his eyes, and pulled out the powder he had just bought. So much for his needed supplies. He put his hand over it and spoke in the language of old; enchanting it.
Then he turned to run to the blacksmith's stall, only feet away. He ignored the man's yelling and grabbed a large bunch of straw, lighting in the fire and then running back to the men who were getting to close to the girl. Dropping the fire near their feet he pulled out of of the powder and dumped it on the fire . . . which burst into a huge gust of flames for a good 30 seconds. However the men were to close, and their clothing in areas caught on fire.
Dayton moved around them and got to her side. "We need to run, NOW."

Dayton knew he was miles from home, but he was attempting to make a connection with someone who could get him a some hard to come by good. He needed this special black powder in order to ward off attackers. While it looked harmless; it tasted horrid, made you ill, and when mixed with fire became deadly. You had to enchant this powder in order to make it react to anything however; as the basic powder was simply crushed up leaves of some plant that only grew in some special place mile and miles from here.
And as Dayton did not like traveling to far from his little world, he usually just bought it, rather then seek out the plant. He found the man he normally bought the stuff from, and made a deal. They did not look shady at all, standing there looking around and quickly swapping bag but Dayton did not care. This was not his home, and they only knew him under some random name that he never used anywhere else. When he turned around to leave he froze, catching a glimpse of someone. He stood there for a moment, trying to find the face again in the crowded market. The splash of color in this sea of blacks and greys. He started walking slowly, trying to find it again. It had only been a flash of color, a tease to his eyes. Temping him; beacking him to follow.

So that others, may have peace he will leave behind the teaching of 'do no others harm' and start seeking out ways to make the king loose his crown. He is not completely evil, but his is willing to do more wrong for the greater good. Unlike some, who fight openly and build them self a name; Dayton will fight under new aliases and stay low key for both his own and his friends safety.
For his personal life; Dayton is more relaxed when around friends. | ~ • ~ | History | ~ • ~ |
.:Birthplace:. Camelot .:Occupation:. Freedom Fighter .:Current Location of Residence:. Under the stars .:History:. Dayton was born a good while before the great purge started. His parents were druids, and made a living offering magical cures and cruses. When the purge started, they moved their family to the safety of the mountains, and hid. Growing up on the run, and in hiding Dayton both saw and lived the fear that most druids felt. There were some, who would fight back, but even with their powers, Dayton saw them fail.
Knowing the only way the others would be safe, was if someone started fighting smart enough to not loose to many battles or their lives. He does not openly admit he his a druid, in order to keep the connection from the fights he starts away from his people. He fights under the name Marc mostly; but has used many names.
He has watched others like Morgause and Alistair take the fight to the king's door and he disagrees with their tactics. It would only put greater pressure on the kingdom to wipe magic from the realm. He rather fight silently and bring the king down in one blow rather then dramatically and playing games.
'Marc's' allies are others who fight, and he makes sure they do not learn of his past. he does not want anyone to learn his weakness. A man with no past, and no one in his life can fight with nothing to loose.
