- Wife: Emma -- deceased --
- Daughter: Emma [named after her mother] *Portrayed by Skye McCole Bartusiak
- Father: William
- Mother: Elaine
- Sister: Kathryn [has four sons]

.:Occupation:. Blacksmith: Was the Apprenctice of Tom until he passed. Now, he has taken over and opened a new shop. .:Current Location of Residence:. City, though his actual house is in Willowdale .:History:. was born into a small, poor, farming family in a rural town. As a child, he was a very free spirit. He was a dreamer, believing in unrealistic possibilities and opportunities. Though his family was not rich, he did not mourn over it. He was an optimist, believing that everything and anything was possible. He was the epitome of a dreamer, and was always planning out his life, without really a set goal in mind. He wanted to travel around the world, and see new things. His ultimate dream was to move into town and open a small shop of his own. He never did express much interest in farming, and so knew that he wanted to change and break the tradition that his family carried for so many generations. The thought of being a blacksmith intrigued him, and so he would spend his childhood making different things . . . mostly sculpting things out of different stones and such.
Among his dreams, a woman existed. She was their neighbor, living in the same general district as his family. They were good childhood friends, and from a young age, he told her all the time that he planned to one day marry her. This was literally a dream that came true. When he was 17, he married her. She convinced him to achieve his other dream of opening a shop, but he wanted to dedicate all of his time to her, for not too long after they were married, she became pregnant. This was a life changing event that produced both a positive and devastating outcome.
Emma gave birth to a healthy baby girl, but unfortunately, there was complications that could not be ignored and Gawain's wife died soon after giving birth. Gawain, heartbroken, knew that he was going to have to change his life for things were going to be drastically different. He had no plan of allowing his grief to consume him, for he wanted to be a good father to his newborn daughter. His inexperience could not be ignored, but he felt no shame in asking for help from his parents and his sister, who had children of her own.
In addition to this alternative lifestyle, Gawain decided to begin his dream of working as a blacksmith. While he traveled to town, he came across the city's best blacksmith, Tom. It did not take long for Gawain to become the blacksmith's apprentice. He worked closely with Tom, as they became rather good friends. He learned a great deal about weaponry and the art of building it. This was how he lived his life, until one tragic event would alter the course of reality. Tom was arrested and killed for escaping. This tragic event devastated Gawain as he lost his closest friend. Distraught but still in need of work, he open a shop in town. He wanted to fulfill his other dream, not only because he needed more money to care for his daughter, but also because his late wife wanted him to, and to share the skills that Tom had taught him.
With this determination, he continued Tom's work, opening a small little store, in Camelot city and officially became a solo blacksmith. He is just barley making it, as there are a lot of expenses. His reputation as a skilled blacksmith however is slowly spreading throughout the town. He travels back and forth quite a bit, though sometimes he will spend the night in his little shop since the journey -- though not too perilous -- can be tiring after a long days work. After this fulfillment of a final dream, Gawain is set in reality. He no longer fantasizes about all the potential opportunities the world has to offer. He has become more realistic, and has lost some of his optimism after his wife's death.
In addition to the work stress, Gawain is extremely paranoid for his daughter's safety. Because he does not always return home, and sleeps in his shop instead, he is always worried about her. He shelters her from the world of magic and does not want to be mixed up in any of it for it is illegal in Camelot and he is not willing to take any risks, especially after the recent discovery that his ancestors were practitioners of magic. He does not want that for his daughter. Presently, he is living between his shop in Camelot and his family's house in Willowdale. He has a five year old daughter who is the pride and joy of his life, and his work as a blacksmith to keep him busy as the days roll by. He wants to make his wife and daughter proud, and set a good example for his young child.
