.:Name of Character:. Romily de Braose .:Nick Name:. Rommy, Rommers, Millie .:Age:. 20 .:Status:. Noble/Nomad
| ~ • ~ | Appearance | ~ • ~ |
.:Physical Appearance:. There was a time where many men would comment on this. Romily is strikingly beautiful with wavy blonde hair that cascades down and stops just above her chest. It contrasts with her eyes that are a deep shade of blue and her skin that is quite pale. She is of an average build and is slim. The only item she keeps on her is her mother’s ring that is shaped like vines entwining around purple flowers. She may appear the innocent damsel in distress upon the first look at her, but don’t judge her just yet because behind those eyes there are secrets hidden.
.:Height:. 5ft 7” .:Portrayed by:. Annabelle Wallis
| ~ • ~ | Personality | ~ • ~ |
.:Personality:. As any lady of nobility should, Romily has been brought up to act and behave just how any other woman should, especially when it comes to finding a suitor. She generally speaks her mind but knows her place. This often occurs during arguments between herself and her father, who told Romily she was too meek of a woman to become the wife of another lord. Romily is also very shy and will distance herself from large crowds (purely because she’s spent most of her life alone and does not know how to act) Since the event that changed her whole life she has learnt skills that will help her to survive in the world, all dreams of now is a fresh start.
.:Strengths:.
> Standing up for herself when needed – something that has landed her in trouble many times! > Sword fighting – when setting out on her own she had to learn to fend for herself and took one of her father’s swords with her. Thankfully she’s had all the practice but has never had any reason to put these skills to the test > Talking herself out of situations – she prefers to be the peacemaker and not to turn to violence unless it’s entirely necessary.
.:Weaknesses:. Can sometimes be a bit of a doormat, Keeping her regrets bottled up inside of her, Any mention of her mother (she still believes that she has failed her), She doesn’t like to see the bad in anyone and this had led to her being hurt because of her opinion on this.
.:Magic Abilities:. None .:Special Skills:. None really .:Accents:.Gentle British accent
| ~ • ~ | History | ~ • ~ |
.:Birthplace:. Wolfhall Manor, Carmelide .:Family:. Durwin – Father Jayne – Mother (Deceased) Thomas – Brother (Deceased at birth) .:Occupation:. None .:Current Location of Residence:. It was Wolfhall (the house where she grew up) but now she’s moving from place to place
.:History:. Romily de Braose is the daughter of Lord Durwin and Lady Jayne of Carmelide. The eldest and only daughter of the pair, Romily was only three years of age when both her mother and her brother died in childbirth. Since then Romily had to practically raise herself (along with the help of her nursemaid Bonnie) as her father found it difficult to even so much as look at her. Over the years Romily grew and became an independent young woman but was kept away from any pageantry that the de Braose’s were invited to. (It is believed that this is because her father was afraid of losing her). Romily also did not express any interest in these events and much rather preferred to keep a low profile around any company her father had. She could usually be found in the library or in her room sewing.
When Romily was eighteen a nobleman and his family came to dine with her father. In a chance meeting she ran (quite literally) into the nobleman’s son whilst out in the gardens. The pair spent the rest of the afternoon together but as the couple kissed goodbye, Romily’s father caught them and jumped to conclusions that there had been more to what he’d witnessed. He then proceeded to yell at his daughter that evening and dismiss her from his life, stating that she had failed him and her mother. At mention of her mother this made Romily want to fight back and tell her father what she really thought of him, but she knew her words wouldn’t come and he would have the upper hand. Without another thought she left Wolfhall and everyone else she loved behind and proceeded to flee from Carmelide and it’s painful memories.
Now she is on the road to wherever it takes her, determined to be rid of her rank and it’s rules and to find a new life where she will be free from meeting her father’s high expectations he had of her.
