.:Name of Character:. Mordred
.:Nick Name:. None
.:Age:. Nineteen
.:Race:. Druid
.:Status:. Wonderer| ~ • ~ | Appearance | ~ • ~ |
.:Physical Appearance:. Mordred stands at 6"1, with dark brown hair and blue-grey eyes. He is tanned, but not overly so. He is lithe, with a slight hint of muscles in the chest and arms, from years of training.
.:Height:. ^"1
.:Portrayed by:. Alexander Vlahos| ~ • ~ | Personality | ~ • ~ |
.:Personality:. To start with, Mordred seems to be a somewhat innocent and shy child. He refuses to speak with an actual voice, preferring the telepathy of his kind. Mordred seems to be quite vindictive as well, using his powers to force Merlin into helping him when the warlock's views are swayed by Kilgarah's warning. There seems to be a somewhat dangerous side to Mordred, though, which bubbles below the surface; as shown when Mordred uses his telepathic powers to force away guards, and warns Merlin that he will never forget the betrayal that Merlin has dealt him.
Mordred's time with Morgana has hardened him, and he has learned the hard way of the cruel ways of life. He has also learned that Morgana is not the nice person she once was; something that has disappointed the young druid greatly. Mordred has a very distinct view of right and wrong, and his belief in Arthur is what has him saving the King from Morgana's powers.
.:Strengths:. Growing up, Mordred's greatest ability was telepathy, and using his actual voice (and telepathy voice) to fight enemies. Mordred is also able to levetate things without speaking a word. The Great Dragon warned that the druid was quite possibly powerful enough to weild the Crystal of Neahtid which Morgana stole early in season 2.
By the time we see Mordred again, he has grown much more solemn, rarely using magic, feeling as though he had to hide it; refusing even to use his telepathy, masquerading to those who didn't know his past as a normal child. Though Mordred stabbed Morgana in order to save the King of Camelot's life, he made sure not to make the wound fatal. However, in a vision that Merlin has seen, Mordred was shown to be skilled with the sword; eventually striking down Arthur. Kilgharrah warned that Mordred would eventually kill Mordred.
.:Weaknesses:. Mordred often recieves disturbing visions that make little or no sense; which sometimes cause him to feel ill for days. He also has a disturbingly firm vision of right and wrong.
.:Magic Abilities:. Mordred is able to speak telepathically to other magic users, and can use his mind to attack people

.:History:.
Born on the outskirts of Camelot amongst a druid clan, Mordred was seen as being special being a young child. Able to conjour things with his mind, he was quickly coverted by the druids, and taught in their ways, eventually able to speak using his thoughts to people of magic. He first met Arthur - then a prince - when he and his mentor were running from Camelot. Though his mentor was executed by Uther Pendragon, Mordred escaped death with the help of Arthur and Merlin, calling out to Merlin through telepathy. Merlin helped Mordred despite a warning from the Great Dragon, who prophesised that Mordred would bring about the Prince of Camelot's doom. Mordred is the first magic user to reveal Merlin's magical name, "Emrys", telling the warlock that Merlin si called that by druids and magic users alike.
Staying out of sight and out of mind was Mordred's goal for quite some time as he refound the druid clan, and continued to discover new things about his powers, and the destiny that was set out for him. Though most druids seemed to view the Pendragons with trepidition, if not out right fear, Mordred found himself strangely intregued by the blonde who had saved his life, finding the Prince's actions very unlike the rumours he had heard that detailed the Pendragons' intolerance to magic. Silently he vowed to use that to his advantage, and perhaps help magic return to Camelot.
Mordred later on sided with a group of bandits, led by a sorcerer named Alvarr, convincing Morgana to steal a crystal and deliver it to the camp that the young druid boy was in. When the camp is discovered by Uther's men, with Arthur leading them, Mordred is forced to part from the camp, and flees. Merlin follows him, and attempts to stop the boy. However, Mordred was able to get away by using magic which left Merlin visiably shaken. As he looked up, Mordred warns Merlin "I shall never forgive this, Emrys. And I shall never forget." before running off into the trees.
Mordred hid in a small town outside of Camelot for quite some time, learning to hide his magic in the face of those who might use it for their own distruction.
He eventually found himself travelling with the bandet __, and upon realising they were travelling to Morgana's abode. When the bandit ____ treats Arthur with roughness, as Mordred and he take Merlin and the King to Morgana, Mordred acts wtih visable displeasure, though at the time doesn't say anything. He later speaks to Mordred, telling him he has nothing to fear, and that he owes Arthur a life debt that must be repaid. He also promises the warlock that he will not reveal Merlin's magic to anyone.
When Merlin and Arthur escape, Mordred runs after them. Merlin and Arthur escape by jumping across a frozen gorge, and the use of Merlin's powers (unbeknowns to Arthur). Mordred simply looks on as they escape. Mordred travelles to Ismere with ___. The two have a somewhat sombre reunion, and when Mordred reveals that Arthur and Meriln were in his grasp, he seems a little surprised by the Lady's outburst and anger.
Though Morgana attempted to kill Arthur with a dagger, Mordred stood by right up until the moment when it seemed Arthur would die. Mordred attempted to stop her with words, but when she refused to heed him, he thrust a swod through her, making sure not to make it a fatal blow, sparing Arthur Pendragon's life int he process, and helping the Pendragon King to his men, and safety. Because of his actions, Mordred was awarded a place as a Knight of Camelot.
Afterwards, Merilin and Mordred spoke briefly, with Mordred explaining to Merlin that he helped Arthur because "Arthur is right, the love that binds us is more important than the power we weild.".| ~ • ~ | Sample Post | ~ • ~ |
Left swing, right pally - Mordred's sword flashed in the cold autumn sun as his eyes swivled about, trying to guess where his enemies might next be coming from. He had demanded training in swordery, and despite Morgana's roll of the eyes, she had reluctantly agreed. The brunette frowned in confusion as the man nearest to him suddenly dropped his sword, and stared at the boy. "Yes?" He asked, swinging his sword a little before letting it hang to his side, still gripping it firmly, unsure.
He was a little less surprised, then, when suddenly a force was pushed into him, forcing him forward and into the nearby tree, slamming the young druid against it before spinning him around to face his attacker. The brunette frowned as he came face to face with Morgana, wondering what on earth she was doing. "Morgana. What--" Mordred was cut off as the Witch slammed his haead up against the tree, causing a hiss of pain to come from Morded's lips as he felt blood trickle down his head. "Morgana?" He tried again, swallowing a little with difficulty as an invisable force seemed to start to choke him. "Morgana!"
