Every man must decide whether he will walk in the light of creative altruism or in the darkness of destructive selfishness.
Vaughn was not on the same hill for the same reason Roland was. He was not there to appreciate the beauty of it, nor was he there to reflect upon his life. Life was dismal; filled with nothing but disappointment and corruption. These thoughts were what forced Vaughn to not leave upon climbing the hill, and seeing a woman there. He was intrigued by her. He stood in silence, watching her as she seemed to soak in the scenery, while a smile played on her lips. Vaughn smirked, folding his arms across his chest, and just standing there, eying her very carefully. He was not sure how long he had been standing there, but to be sure not to miss the opportunity to say this, he spoke.
"You must be a very naive woman," he said, finally breaking the silence, though peaceful for her, not so peaceful for Vaughn. He did not move from his position, as he continued to stand there, staring at her. "For only a naive woman would endure life and all its corruption, with such a beautiful smile of content." Vaughn appreciated nothing; he saw no beauty in a sunset. All he saw was another day of life waster away, while dark neared and allowed all the creatures of the night to emerge....whether they were people or animals. Vaughn still however, found it amusing that someone could smile at nothing. Yes; to Vaughn, she was not exposed to the true nature of life, and he was not shy to tell her those exact words.

Vaughn was ready to move on from this street, proud of his victory, though he was not exactly smiling. The next event that unfolded was nothing that Vaughn could even come close to predicted. He was often used to bullying another, seldom finding it a challenge and when it proved to be one..... he just found great amusement in it. However, there was absolutely nothing amusing about a vegetable being thrown at his head. He was not in the stocks. He felt something hard, and mushy at the same time, hit the back of his head. He quickly turned around, looking down at the ground to see a squashed tomato by his feet. His face expressionless and with out asking in words, his eyes spoke for him, demanding who dared throw a tomato at his head. If the seeds were intertwined in his locks somehow, well, then the tomato attacker was truly going to pay.
Vaughn's eyes surveyed the massive crowd, but it did not take long for them to rest upon a young woman, who was standing there, staring at him with an expression that could only be described as surprise. Vaughn was going to take advantage of any fear she may be experiencing, ever so slight. He slowly walked up to her, a false smile on his lips as he forced his expression to drastically soften. "Dear lady, were you the one who happened to throw that tomato at me?" He asked, his voice was deep, and it held a tone of politeness and respect..... though both of these were false.
[[Sorry its a little short. I was just building it up a bit, because I have what he is going to do in his next post planned]]

Vaughn had never been in Camelot before. He did not think it was an incredible experience to be in this land, as he had come across those who believed that Camelot was an amazing kingdom that would be an honor to serve. No. Vaughn though, just like every other place, that it was despicable. His cynical point of views forced him to never find anything good about anyone or anything, and this was no exception. He dismounted from his horse, leading it along with him, as the streets were so crowded, there was barley any room to walk.
The streets were cramped with eager people, running around to do their duties. They kept bumping into him, some muttering apologies, others just moving along their business. Vaughn was so distracted by cursing each person that brushed against him, that he did not notice a basket on the side of the street. He nearly tripped over it, but caught his balance, only making him slightly stumble. Still, it was enough to make him angry at the inanimate object. Or rather, the person who placed it there. He looked down at it. It was filled with a large pile of neatly folded clothing. That is what made Vaughn's next actions so much fun.
He kicked it. No. He not only kick it; he kicked it hard. It was hard enough for the basket to move far enough from his stationary position and for all the clothes to fly in different directions, scattering on different spots on the street. He hoped they got trampled on. But what he hoped even more, was that the person who's basket he had kicked, was watching him and would confront him.

| ~ • ~ | History | ~ • ~ |
.:Birthplace:. Adeney Estate .:Family:. Is a very sore subject for Vaughn. .:Occupation:. A nomadic knight .:Current Location of Residence:. None, he is traveling as he does not like to settle in one place .:History:. Vaughn was the first son, born into a noble family in a Kingdom far beyond Albion. He has a younger brother, and three sisters. He lived a typical life of a noble, perhaps the only difference being that even at a young age, he did not have a sense of right and wrong. He acted more selfishly than consider the feelings and needs of others, and while his father tried to instill some values into his son, it did not prove to be effective. Vaughn, like any nobleman, was sent at a young age to serve as a page. He went to a neighbouring estate and fulfilled the necessary duties for him to move smoothly up the ranks as he later became a squire, and by the age of seventeen, became a knight. When he returned home, an unpleasant, unexpected surprise awaited him. His younger brother by a year, was announced to be the new Lord of Adeney. This infuriated Vaughn, as he was the oldest and expected to be the new Lord of the land. His father explained to him that he was not qualified to be the heir to this land, for he did not possess the characteristics to be a good leader. Vaughn was considered too selfish, and inconsiderate which showed his inability to demonstrate the necessary compassion and loyalty to his people, and ultimately, the king. Though he had sworn allegiance, he was regarded as untrustworthy and his intentions were still uncertain by others...with good reason. It was at this moment, that Vaughn truly resented his entire family.
Not long after he was knighted, did a vicious battle break out in the land. While his intentions were unknwon before, they were clear now. He was expected to lead the army, and use this opportunity to show his worthiness of the title of Lord, showing his nobility and loyalty. Instead, Vaughn did nothing. He refused to lead the army, despite his exceptional skills as a warrior, and allowed someone else to take that responsibility. Or rather, forced somenoe else to take that responsibility by his refusal to do anything. He felt he owed nothing to his family, and could truly care less of they tore the land apart. Vaughn stayed for some time, witnessing others going off to battle, with very few numbers returning. This did not phase him. Instead, it pleased him to see them failing. Vaughn`s father could only take a limited amount of this, and so disowned his son, stripping him of any titles and wealth. This was the greatest news Vaughn had ever heard, for it officially freed him. Instead of feeling disgraced, as his father had hoped so that he would return to his family and defend them, Vaughn took this opportunity to collect very few things, take his horse, and ride away from Adeney, never to return.
Vaughn does not know what happened to his family, nor does he show the slightest bit care or remorse for what happened. He enjoys his current lifestyle, experiencing new surroundings every day and engaging in new adventures. While he does not exactly enjoy the company of people, he enjoys pushing their buttons, seeing how far he can provoke them. This his main form of amusement, and his unfortunate hobby. He does not seek retribution for what he did, nor does he seek glory for he truly does not care about what others think of him. He cares only about himself, and looks out for only himself.
