::vaughn:: Oh hell. This woman was eliminating any possibility of this happening without making a scene. When she turned to leave Vaughn rolled his eyes and quickly grabbed her, putting one hand across her mouth and the other around her to pull her back. He needed to do this as quickly and smoothly as possible before one of the guards noticed that he was kidnapping a woman. He began to move back, towards the dark forest where there would be better concealment. When they well hidden, without being too deep in the forest, Vaughn threw a bag over Gwen's head so that she could not see anything. He did not want her to know the direction of where they would be going.
"Cooperate and you will not get killed." His voice was blunt, firm, and yet there was a hint of amusement in it. He took out rope from a sack that he had in place for when they got her, and proceeded to die her hands together so that she could not struggle as much. Now all he needed to do was wait for Alistair to come with the horses and they could be on their way.

::vaughn:: She was certainly right about that. He would not change his mind about something just because he saw someone cry and beg for their life. "Desperate times force people to do desperate things. It could not hurt your situation." But it was definitely not going to help. While Vaughn was clearly more of a talker than Alistair, he did not want to waste his time standing here with the princess of Gwent when she was supposed to be being held captive somewhere. He turned around and began to walk away from her, pausing for a moment to look at the small group of men who had been looking at her, and who were now looking at Vaughn for further direction.
"Do whatever you want with her," he told them, far too casually. "Just make sure she stays in one piece." The men began to approach her with a hunger in their eyes that were clearly only going to be satisfied in one way. That was how little Vaughn cared about her. Whether he knew her or not, she was just a business transaction and he cared nothing of her as a person. That was why he was about to allow a group of men to unleash themselves on her. He continued to walk away and went back to his initial position. This time, he stood up and leaned against the tree, going back to sharpening his dagger. He would not participate in whatever they were going to do with her, but he would not stop it either. He just did not care. He was not even looking at her or the men, and focused on his dagger, leaning against the trunk far too relaxed for what he knew was about to happen.

::vaughn:: Vaughn laughed at her attempt to convince him. "Are you trying to convince me, or convince yourself." He asked, joking of course. If she was truly from a good noble family, then no doubt there would be proposals being sent her way, but if it was the same way as other noble families functioned, those proposals were meant to benefit the families. Strengthen their status, increase their land and wealth. It was very pathetic indeed. When she asked him to undress her, using those exact words, Vaughn let the smirk remain on his expression and slightly cocked his head to the side, as if he was inspecting her.
"You will have to come over here," he said. Yes, he was going to make her come to him. If she wanted to play around and throw flirtatious comments, he was going to play along. He had been playing around with their entire conversation, her joining in only encouraged him. "I have many skills that are undeniable, and this just happens to be one of my greatest ones." Oh did he ever have the ability to do such a thing, and he was going to have fun while doing it.

::vaughn:: "Oh there certainly are, but this is one of the most satisfying." Vaughn of course that there were more satisfying things in life; like blackmailing a noble. But he was just playing up the idea of sleeping with someone as one of the more satisfying desires. "I would not have expected you to," he said, giving her another suggestive smile. "A woman such as yourself should indeed have suitable standards. As must your mother, despite what I am sure is a difficulty in finding someone for her daughter to wed." Marriage was a concept that Vaughn would never understand. Committing to one person for the rest of your life; settling with that one person. It was just too, permanent. "After all, what man would marry a woman who runs out in the middle of the night. One who has a secret identity." Now, he was mocking her late night activities rather than her personality.
Vaughn did not move when she asked if he minded. He had watched her fully entertained as she had begun to remove the clasps and armor, and now the inevitable had come, and Vaughn had expected it. He remained leaning against the tree. "Would I mind what?" He asked, just wanting her to say what he had known she was going to.

::vaughn:: "Your pleasure has only been minimal if your virtue is indeed in tact." Vaughn's was not. Not at all. "I suppose that most men see who you are, and are immediately attracted as it is only natural to be drawn to such a charming and elegant young woman." Vaughn did not compliment others to make them feel good about themselves; he only spoke what his perception deemed to be true. And in this case, he believed it was. "However, if you act this vocal and defensive with them, then I am not surprised they have turned the other way, thus keeping your virtue in tact." He was joking, mocking her aggressive personality. He knew full well that it was he who had provoked that side of her, but still. He had to at least make fun of her as much as he could before their paths went opposite ways, temporarily.
Vaughn did not move from his position. "You are going to be asking for my assistance soon enough. Why not save your pride and accept my offer to help you." Though it would be fun to see her struggle, it would be even more fun to see her admit she needed his help.

::vaughn:: There were so many ways to answer that question, Vaughn was having a hard time deciding which one to go with. "Have I not made it rather obvious?" He asked smiling. While he knew she was not serious, he still lightly chuckled at her admittance of valuing his opinion. "As you should. You never know what could happen in the future." He was just entertaining the idea, without giving any specifics. He did not think long term. He lived in the moment, and right now, the moment was great. "Which means that you still have your virtue. That no man has taken it in the past." That it would be more fun if Vaughn would be that man. "Now why is that. Such a gorgeous woman as yourself, and no man to please her. You must have high standards Lady Alegra."
She claimed she did not need help, but Vaughn knew differently. Her tone was convincing of course, but Vaughn was a knight. He had worn the armor and taken it off, all with assistance. There was a reason he wore it majority of the time: because it was such a nuisance to remove. "Very well then," he said, amused. "I have all day to stand here and watch you struggle as you attempt to remove the armor on your own, and fail each and every time." He took a couple of steps towards a nearby tree and leaned against it, folding his arms across his chest, and just watched her. His position was more comfortable than having just been standing there, as he was literally implying that he was not the one who was in a rush. "I have no where else to be. Do you?" He asked sarcastically, already knowing the answer to his question.

::vaughn:: He watched her fold her arms across her chest. Either a defensive action or one that showed she was trying to show strength. Either way, the smirk would not be wiped from his expression. She was trying to be smart with him. And he would return the favor. He would get his revenge on this entire situation. Well, not him personally. "What makes you so bold My Lady? You are surrounded by a group of armed men, who are all watching your every move." The others were watching her for different reasons. While Vaughn was the one making disturbing and dark flirtatious comments, he would not act on them. The others on the other hand, he could not speak for what they were thinking, but he was a man. He knew the way a man`s mind worked, and that was something every woman should be afraid of.
He pointed the tip of his dagger to wards her, to emphasize its sharpness and just to motion towards her in a threatening way, without actually physically causing harm to her. "You are unarmed, without aid, and completely vulnerable." So what he wanted to know was what made her so brave and sure of herself. Vaughn was not about to reach the point where he felt he had underestimated the princess. He knew nothing of her. But her being here just now, showed that she was more trouble than she was...worth. Or maybe not. Vaughn made a decision right there, that he was going to increase the ransom. If she was causing this much trouble, then they would get their moneys worth for it.
[[Alright. Bye! In my next post, I will have the men start to advance towards her. Just thought it would be fun to drag out things a little bit. haha.]]

::vaughn:: Yes, Vaughn was amused, and she was right in assuming that when the conversation took this turn, it would only strengthen his amusement."I never lose a challenge I am determined to win," he told her bluntly. It was not done in a falsely cocky tone, he meant every word of it. She would be his most recent one, and so far, he was getting what he wanted as far as the money was concerned. "You would remove them, interesting," he said with a suggestive smile. "Interesting to know that you would remove them because I said they would not do you justice. That you would change yourself to be more appealing to me. I did not know you valued my opinion so greatly." He was teasing her of course, as he had been doing so from the moment he first saw her remove her helmet from her head.
He too dismounted from her horse, from the same side she was on, conveniently. He watched her smile, which increased his own. There was no denying it was a beautiful smile indeed. "Most men must grovel at your feet when they see you smile in such a way," he said chuckling. "Yet how many of those men have the pleasure of helping you remove your armor." Vaughn knew it was difficult to remove armor. Not the entire thing, but the small latches and clasps that kept it in place. It was why knights had servants, or women, to help them do so. Unfortunately for her, he was all that was around at this moment.

::vaughn:: She had incapacitated him? How was that even possible. How had this small woman managed to impair someone like Alistair? He was almost twice her size, and was obviously physically stronger than her. What kind of game was that druid playing. Vaughn just smirked. "You, such a delicate creature managed to incapacitate such a man?" Vaughn eyed her carefully, a sinister gleam in his eyes. "What sort of tricks do you have hidden under that," He paused for a moment, allowing his eyes to once again trail over her entire body. It was meant to make her feel uncomfortable and since he was closer to her, it was also a lot more obvious. "Alluring exterior." It was also said with a hint of perversion to it, as Vaughn was not shy to make even a woman of royalty, feel discomfort.
With his sharpened dagger still in his hand, he held it up, acting as if he was inspecting it when really, it was just trying to create fear in her. Whether it worked or not, he would have to wait and see. But clearly Alistair had failed at being the threatening one and instilling fear in her, if she managed to escape from what was supposed to have been his ruthless clutches. "Are you going to incapacitate me too?" He asked in a strange tone that was mixed with both innocence and evil.

::vaughn:: Vaughn laughed. She always had something to say in response, and there was really not end to just how entertained he was by it. "If they gave in too easily, where is the fun in that. I do like a challenge." And that was what she was to him as well: a challenge. While he did not condone rape, or even paying for such things, he did like being persistent through words. Some went for it, some did not but either way, Vaughn was the non committal type. He did not create ties to people. He would do what he had initially intended and be on his way. Alegra might be one of the few people that he would see on a regular basis, other than Alistair.
Vaughn pictured the image in his head. "No. Not piercings. That would not do you justice." The slowed pace made him aware that she had an idea of where to go to transform herself from knight to lady. "Trust me dear Alegra, I would not dare imagine you as a usual sort of girl." He did not mean that in a good way, or bad way. He meant it however she would take it. "But you do leave a man hungry for more. What of your other suitors who have wondered who the woman beneath the dress is."

::vaughn:: Vaughn thought it was very funny that she felt the need to explain where she would be changing. Of course, she was right in doing so. In emphasizing that she would be changing behind the horse, therefore making it difficult for him to see her. Of course, just because she said that did not mean he was going to be discouraged from making jokes about it. He had been doing so all along, why on earth would he stop now. "You would deprive a man from allow him to stop imagining and satisfy his curiosity?" He was referring to something he had first said to her. How her armor did not suit her, and how he wondered what was underneath all that metal. Apparently, he was going to find out.
"That is indeed cruel to disallow him of such a thing. Especially since he has been wondering for quite some time." He paused, in a false pensive moment. "Then again, imagining it can be more fun," he said in a bit of a perverted way, acting like he was actually imagining it and picturing it in his mind. Of course all his comments were verging on perverted, and his tone would not imply any differently as he did not mean it any other way.

::vaughn:: Vaughn chuckled, a deep and highly amused laugh. He held his hand up so that none of the other men would approach her right now. He on the other hand took more steps towards her so that he was now standing directly in front of her. "You look lost," he observed. Even if she took a step back, he would always take one closer so that if she tried to make a mad dash, he would only have to reach over to grab her and prevent her from doing so. "I can show you the way home, Lady Isadora of Gwent." That was his way of saying he knew who she was, and that he had no intention of letting her go.
The other men at this point were snickering, and muttering crude comments. But Vaughn would hold them off, only for a moment, while he figured out how she had escaped, and where his partner in crime was. "So you have somehow managed to kill a man and quickly make a get away, is that how you ended up here?" Vaughn was not aware of the fact that she had Alistair had exchanged information about themselves, and even more than that. To Vaughn, this was impersonal, and strictly business. He was not even supposed to have seen her during the duration of this ransom situation. He supposed it could have been regarded as a perk, but now, he was only wondering how much had gone wrong. How much Alistair had let go wrong.

::vaughn:: She had ignored his comments, but he did not care. He had no expectations get a comment back from her. As they galloped through the Balor forest, Vaughn was growing more and more curious to see her estate. And to see all that she would have to offer him, in term of money of course. He was not going to ask how far it was. He would just enjoy the ride, and enjoying it he was. "Are you planning on removing your armor before entering?" He asked, wondering if she had the liberty of going in dressed in her uniform. Did the guards know about this? Or was it just her immediate family, and now him, who knew.
Vaughn was debating whether he wanted to go in with her. He did not want her to try anything, so he would have to find out as much information as he could so that he could make an informed decision. If only her mother and brother knew, then she would not risk anyone else finding out.

::vaughn:: Vaughn noticed how quickly she had grabbed the reigns. He had to have expected it. People got attached to their horses way too much, and she was not exception. Vaughn on the other hand, only used the animal for transportation. He altered them frequently, just to keep things interesting. He mounted himself up behind her but instead of keeping his hands to himself, he put them around her. If she wanted to steer, he was going to stay as close to her as possible. Just for the fun of it all.
"My, this is rather cozy," he said, smirking to himself since she could not see his face right now. "Are you sure you can maintain control? Such a small woman should not be steering such a large animal." He was poking fun at her size. She was so petite and Vaughn could not get over it. It was just so funny to see such a small person inside so much armor and then to see her fight men twice her size.

::vaughn:: Vaughn would be the first to say that he was surrounded by idiots, but that was the whole point. He had been on a search to find some men who they could use as extras in case there was an ambush of some sort. While Vaughn had assured them that they would receive part of the money, he had lied. Vaughn was only planning to split the money with Alistair, and then the time came, all he had to do was get rid of the morons, take the money split it, and be on his way. Alistair had been responsible for capturing her and holding her hostage until they got the ransom they demanded, and it would not be too much longer now.
Vaughn was leaning against a tree trunk, sharpening his dagger with a stone, while the four men he had "hired" were sitting around joking amongst themselves. Vaughn was not the overly social type so had no intention of joining in their conversation. He was annoyed by every word they said, but just kept reminding himself that this was all very temporary and soon enough, this entire thing would be over. The waiting part was the most boring, but soon enough, Vaughn's boredom would indeed come to an end.
The group of men were loud, but Vaughn's senses picked up on some rustling. He told them to be quite for a moment, continuing to hear it. Someone was running, fast and from the direction of the sound they were headed right this way. Who was running at this hour of the night? It did not take long for his silent question to be answered. There, in front of all of them was a woman. Silence immediately filled the air as everyone just stared at her. Vaughn eyed her carefully. He did not have to recognize her face to know who she was.
She was not a commoner. She was dressed in fancy attire and there was a certain elegance to her that was very noticeable. Vaughn may not be the smartest person, but he was certainly not the dumbest. It was the Princess of Gwent. Alistair had told him that the camp was near here and Vaughn had not exactly been looking for her, but seeing her now, here, running for her life....... Alistair. The idiot had let her escape? Some watch man he was. Vaughn straightened himself up and began to walk to wards her. He scanned her body, his eyes trailing very carefully, too carefully, up and down her figure. "Well well, is it not rather late for such a beautiful woman to be wandering the dark forest on her own?"
[[Talked to Alistair and he said it was alright if Isadora and Vaughn had a bit of back and forth before Alistair re-appeared.]]

::vaughn:: "I am no noble knight," he said with a sinister smile. He knew that she was of course being sarcastic, but he could not help himself from saying it. His actions this far were clear that he was anything but noble, and he was anything but a knight for a knight did not display such selfish and cruel qualities, and Vaughn had no problem admitting it. When she spoke to her horse, he smiled. At first he had thought he would ride his own horse there, but this was probably better. He could keep a closer eye on her and, well, just be closer to her, hoping the mere prospect of it would make her feel less than thrilled.
"Well, we should be on our way then," he informed, standing near the horse. "After you My Lady." He gestured, referring to her mounting the horse first. As if he could ever portray any ounce of polite manners at this point. He had proven to be the opposite in far too many instances for manners to mean anything now. Still, he just had far too much fun saying it.

::vaughn:: No argument. Disappointing, but oh well. This would definitely not be the last time he saw this woman. He would have to figure out where they would meet. He would have to be creative in choosing locations. "Yes. I would expect such." Really, Vaughn just wanted to see her estate and see exactly how wealthy the noble woman he was blackmailing really was. It would help give him incentive to take some money from her. Then again, Vaughn did not need any more encouragement. His amusement in the matter was more than enough.
"I will escort you back to your estate." This way, he would not have to meet her elsewhere and he could just see the place for himself, and then furthermore, he would know where to find her in the future. "We would not want you getting ambushed by another group of bandits now would we." Not that he helped the first time, and not that he cared about that. "A woman such as yourself should not be lurking around alone in the woods. It is far too dangerous," he added, just for further mockery. "As for the other locations, I will choose them when the time comes."

"I am already trying to see how far you would go, and clearly, it is not that far at all." He was again, just trying to emphasize what she was not willing to do, rather than focus on what she was. "Never the less, money should be satisfactory." He would get more use out of that than anything else. This situation was perfect. "Instead of getting one huge payment, we will ration it out a bit." He was leading up to just how frequent that would be. "I have not fully decided yet. Lets start with once every month." If he found it would be fun to get more than that, then he would. But he was certainly not going to ask for a large sum all at once. The fun would be too short lived. He would get the money and then thats it, it would be over. This way, he could keep it going for however long it kept his amusement.
He was still smirking, enjoying this conversation far too much, even though she was not. Perhaps that was what made him like it all the more.

Vaughn she was right, which was why he had not actually intended to go forward with any other plan of telling on her, or the other option he had been suggesting. He knew he would get far more to gain money, unless he was some pervert who could find no other way to satisfy his nightly pleasures. But this was not the case for Vaughn. Thankfully, he was not an unsatisfied man. "Just be sure you make the right choice as you empower yourself with the belief that you have one." She chose to cooperate with him, which was the wisest choice she could make. Of course, cooperate as far as giving money went, nothing more. It was sensible. Decent. Though Vaughn could not help but wonder if things would go so far, that she would submit to such demands. Probably not. Not from the determined way she was speaking right now.
"I do not think it is possible to gain less from telling, or not telling and getting compensation and reward for my discretion." Again, he knew she was right to assume that money was the best way to go, but where was the fun in just admitting it and moving on? "So if I only asked for one thing, the virtue of a noblewoman, and if I were to say it was the only way to save your family, you would not submit?" He gave her a slightly crooked smile. "For people you claim to love a great deal, it does not seem you would do whatever it took to protect them." Vaughn knew that it was just a hypothetical situation, but the fact that he was still implying that that was what he was asking for, well, he was hoping she would believe him....for now.

"I am going to assume that is a rhetorical question," he commented when she asked him if he thought she was that easy. He had after all been testing really. Was she really that easy to convince of such a thing? Probably not. Judging from her stubborn attitude he had a feeling that would create a whole new set of defensive remarks from her, if anyone questioned her virtue and what they had to do bed her. Vaughn was not that interested in details. He would only ask, if it annoyed her and therefore, created furthermore entertainment.
At her refusal to do so, he laughed, a deep and highly amused chuckle. He would not say he was kidding about it, nor would he apologize for making such assumptions. He would merely display signs of humor. "Forfeit my ability to gain anything," he repeated, pretending to ponder deeply over these words. "You truly make it sound like you have a choice in this situation. Is your body not worth protecting your family that you claim to love so dearly?" He wondered if she would do it, to protect them. After all, the punishment for posing as a knight was harsh and would most probably affect her mother and brother, not just her.
