The return of Lady Morgana itself was cause for celebration – the fact that she was alive and well sparked the end of a yearlong search for the King’s beloved ward. Lucan was currently trying to drink as much of the night away as he could. Many of his friends were already chatting away to the available female courtiers and the young knight was now left to fend for himself. He studied the ever disappearing contents of his goblet – they weren’t even halfway through the evening yet and already he was considering getting an early night. To top it all off, he was on an early morning patrol.
“You look incredibly jovial” Sir Yvain sat down next to him and studied the turnout, “lot of people here eh?”
“Lady Morgana is well loved by everyone – it’s only natural that they should come and celebrate her return, besides – aren’t you happy that she’s safe and well?” Luc frowned
At this Yvain shrugged and then gave a small smirk, “Ah look, the Lady Camila is on the prowl for her next victim already – pretty little thing isn’t she?”
Lucan glanced to where Yvain was looking and then looked back into his cup with a ‘hmmm’. He wasn’t that interested in girl spotting with his friend this evening. “Indeed”
“You should go and say hi” Yvain slapped him on the back, “You need a woman, she wants victims, match made in heaven”
“Im sure she’s not that bad” Lucan snorted
“You’d be incredibly lucky if she even noticed you, let alone came over to talk to you – has every man at court wrapped around her little finger that one” Yvain smirked still watching the lady in question, “anyway, I’ll leave you to drown your sorrows – cheer up Luc, it might never happen”
“In my world it most likely wont” Lucan snorted. Both he and Yvain knew that he couldn’t even talk to a woman. He watched his friend head over to talk to a few other knights. A servant handed him another drink, which he took gratefully and continued to scan the hall. It was defiantly going to be a long evening!

Morgana had been found safe and sound and to celebrate there would be a great feast in Camelot. Of course, Camila's family was to be attending this festivity, they attended any little thing. Her parents were seemingly trying to stay in Camelot as much as they possibly could lately. No matter. There were much better looking men in Camelot, especially the knights, compared to the nobles, Cam found.
She enjoyed her little mind games. She always just led men on. Her rule of thumb: you can look but you can't touch. Not that they couldn't touch her, they just couldn't touch her nor have her for the night or anything, not unless she were to approve it and it had yet to happen once. Teasing men was just too fun and they would do anything for her, bring her anything, buy her anything. Whatever she wanted. Life was easy. Sometimes she didn't even have to try. She couldn't help it, she was pretty much just lazy.
Walking 'casually' through the crowd of people that had turned out for the feast, Camila looked around at the people present. She was very familiar with multiple men and women, many of the women were her friends or people her parents socialized with. And the men she knew were from a variety of different encounters. That's when she spotted two men, one of which she only knew the name of. Was it Sir Yaine? Sir Yvan? Anyways, he wasn't interesting to her. His friend, however, was something else. His brown locks were long and messy, they sat wildly around the structure of his handsome face.
Sir Yvran, or whatever his name was, got up and left the other knight and Cam followed the leaving man with her eyes for a moment before turning her attention back to the brown-haired knight.
Camila walked over to the knight and played the shy card. "Hi," She started. "Can I sit here?" She gestured to the spot next to him.

Lucan’s thoughts of the past year had slowly taken over his mind whilst everyone else partied around him. He swirled the red liquid around in his cup and ran a hand through his hair. He was usually the type to get up and have a laugh with his friends, but now he just felt tired.
A voice jolted him from his thoughts and he looked up, eyes meeting with a woman’s. A WOMAN!!! And it was Lady Camila – the girl that Yvain had spoken of earlier. Oh no – what if Yvain was right and she was a man eater??!! Luc knew he wouldn't survive being able to look at her let alone striking up a conversation. And she wanted to sit next to him? Him? Him of all people! Lucan couldn’t be sure if this was a blessing or torture.
Lucan shuffled over slightly, “Oh, err…yes”, even her gracefully elegance and beauty were enough to knock him stone cold dead to the ground. And thankfully he wasn’t hyperventilating yet. He looked across the room and saw Yvain give him the thumbs up on noticing the pair. Lucan wanted to send another gesture his way, but it was too inappropriate to do so in the presence of royalty and the court.
“You’re…. you’re Lady Camila?” he managed to allow the words to stumble freely out, he didn’t look at her, he couldn’t – he was so shy he even amazed himself sometimes. Nothing-unusual there then.
He could feel his chest aching slightly, unsure as to whether it was his heart just banging away out of fear or anticipation. It felt as though the wall had crushed him again (one experience that hadn’t been pleasant and that he wouldn’t be repeating again – oh well, he’d done it out of duty of course). He slowly looked over at her, his eyes meeting hers again and on that, he broke the gaze.

"Thank you." Camila replied, pushing her hair behind her ear, still giving off the shy girl appearance. He shuffled over a bit to give her more space. That would create a gap, and gaps were usually good between her and the men she liked to tease but this time the gap made her unhappy, sad almost. As if she wanted to be closer to him...
"You're... you're Lady Camila?" He looked terrified, Cam didn't know what she had done. But she didn't show a reaction to that. "Yes, I am." She gave a small grin. "And you are? I don't think we've met before." She would remember seeing him for sure! His eyes met hers for a moment before he looked back down at the ground instantly. Usually this would make Camila very happy, in a devious way. Shy guys were easy to manipulate. Ask something in a pleading voice and maybe even stroke their cheek and they were puddy! But she didn't feel the need to manipulate this one, she rather enjoyed his shyness, finding it adorable.

SHE WAS GOING TO EAT HIM ALIVE! He really hadn’t needed to state who she was. He knew perfectly well who she was! "Yes, I am." Oh well that just made everything dandy! "And you are? I don't think we've met before."
Lucan gulped slightly, breathe. Just breathe. He had to admit Camila was the most beautiful woman he’d ever laid eyes on. Or in his case, a mere glance. He fiddled with his cape, she must think him such an idiot – not being able to talk to her properly let alone look at her. No, he was now just going to go for it. Screw Yvain and what he said. Camila would probably run for the hills before Lucan did himself! Finally he plucked up the courage and looked at her, with a shy smile. “Lucan…”FORGOT THE SIR!!! His mind screamed at him “I mean…Sir Lucan” he corrected himself, “although people call me Luc for short”. STOP RAMBLING YOU IDIOT!
Lucan looked down at her hand resting beside her, hesitating for a moment before taking it and placing a kiss on the top. Smooth Luc…real smooth…
After telling his conscience to shut the hell up, he looked back down at his cape. “Sorry I…” he paused, “Im not very good…at this” he may as well tell her she was in for a light and boring, if not non existent, conversation with him – if it was conversation that she was looking for that was!
Shut up! She’s a gorgeous girl and you’re sat here thinking about what Yvain said about her being a man eater. She’s not jumped on you! For once just be yourself!. He was, but it was his shy self, and not Sir Lucan who found it easy to crack jokes every time awkward moments like this happened. Perfect timing.
He turned back to her, managing to give her a cheeky smile to lighten the mood. He now felt it impossible to not look at her anymore, she was just stunning. Why on earth she’d chosen to talk to him was beyond his own imagination. He could even see Yvain’s jaw burning a hole through the floor. Obviously his friend had been expecting him to either faint or have run by now. But no – something was keeping Lucan from doing that.
“You’ve probably heard this all before, but you are looking very beautiful tonight my lady”. Immediately Lucan felt a little embarrassed and looked back down at his cape again.

He was so very shy, so very nervous. It made her grin just a little. Was he afraid of her? Had he heard about her? Heard about her from somebody who was on bad terms with her? Oh dear. That would just completely jeopardize everything. Camila was a good person on the inside but she just like to be a little 'bad' and use men as tools, she didn't want any extra physical contact then those of greetings and had never allowed any other contact to happen that wasn't out of courtesy. She wasn't a random girl on the road, after all, begging for a cheap thrill. No. Camila was much better than that but liked to deceive people a lot.
"Lucan... I mean... Sir Lucan. Although Some people call me Luc for short." His rambling made her giggle unintentionally. She would usually never let herself just giggle at random. All her laughs were usually regulated, planned and so fake. She would laugh in a mischief way at times or give an unimpressed chuckle. But this giggle was genuine.
The next thing she knew, Lucan had taken her hand. Her face flushed of all colour in that instant, she didn't know what he was doing but when he place a kiss on the top of it, her cheeks became rosy red. She didn't blush regularly, Luc was just bringing this out in her. It was embarrassing! She was supposed to have control over herself.
"Don't worry about a thing, Lucan. You are very charming." Maybe complementing him could make things better? Make him less shy? Either way, he was a little charming with his shyness. At his next complement Camila smiled widely, blushing agin. "Thank you. And mint I say you look absolutely dashing."

He was making her laugh for all the wrong reasons here, but at least she wasn’t giving him disapproving looks. Lucan noted the blush that she now sported on her cheeks as he kissed her hand. Ok, so perhaps that was a good thing, wasn’t it?
"Don't worry about a thing, Lucan. You are very charming."
Luc gave her a look, “now my name and charming have never been used in the same sentence before – that’s a first”.
Of course they hadn’t, because no one had ever deemed him charming before. Mind you he was acting like the shy idiot that he was. How on earth did that seem appealing to her? Lucan would love to know what went on in women’s heads that attracted them to specific features, but then again, he didn’t.
Now she was calling him dashing??!!! Lucan looked at her shyly and grinned, “they haven’t called me that either” he chuckled slightly, “mostly because I very much doubt that it’s true, but thank you all the same my lady”.
My goodness, it was a wonder how he’d not yet passed out. Lucan surprisingly felt relaxed, sort of. He was now able to look at her for more than a mere few seconds without becoming shy again. “Are you enjoying this evening?” he asked, “I can see that most people are”. He shot a glance to where Yvain was challenging Lionel to yet another drinking game. He’d have a banging head in the morning! Yvain caught sight of him watching and raised his cup cheerily. Lucan, with an amused expression, raised his in return before turning back to Camila. Finally, he was beginning to show the real Lucan.

"I don't believe that." She lightly shook her head as she said this. He was so very shy, yet so charming. She usually despised that kind of men but with Lucan it was different. She didn't know why she liked it this time. Camila was still lightly stroking the back of her hand with the other mindlessly but every now and then she would lower her gaze and find herself looking at it. It was like she could still feel his kiss on her skin.
She also didn't believe that nobody had deemed him dashing before. It amazed Camila that nobody noticed this handsome knight.
"This evening is quite fine, but it's only getting better." She was referring to the more and more she spoke with Sir Lucan the better the night got. "And your evening?" She replied just before she saw him raise his glass to someone, she followed the direction it had been pointed at and saw that guy Yrvin or Ykran, whatever. He wasn't important. Cam looked back at Lucan, waiting for him to respond.

She didn’t believe him eh? He shot a small grin at the ground. Either she was flattering him or she generally didn’t believe that no one had taken the slightest bit of interest. Of course it was the latter…well – sort of.
“Me, women and conversation don’t exactly go together” He admitted, “Im not exactly an expert in that area – Sir Yvain and even the Prince have tried to get to the bottom of this unfortunate circumstance – but I guess it’s something I’ll always have”. Unfortunately for him. “Although…surprisingly I haven’t yet run away from you, so I guess you should take it as a compliment” he smirked.
"This evening is quite fine, but it's only getting better."
“Really?” he raised his brows. Was she flirting with him?! Was he flirting with her?! Lucan really needed help in this area. Time to turn on the Lucan charm then. “Hopefully not because you’re sat here having to listen to me ramble on and make a complete idiot of myself”
"And your evening?"
His evening? Oh…well…now that was a completely different story. His evening had sucked up until Camila had headed his way. Now it was slowly turning out to be unexpected rather than unpleasant. Yvain had certainly been wrong about this one. Then again what did Yvain know anyway?
“Dull…” He answered, “But then I met a very beautiful woman who I didn’t faint on or run away from…” The Lucan smirk was now playing on his lips. How could one girl just be so…so…GAH! SO BEAUTIFUL! Lucan felt like running into a wall 100 times over just to make sure he wasn’t actually dreaming that a girl was taking an interest. And that he was actually calm and being utterly ridiculous in front of her!
He gave a small laugh of embarrassment, “Im sorry…I shouldn’t have said that – you talk to a girl for the first time and say the most ridiculous things possible”
Was now a good time to make a run for it? He could slowly feel the old ‘OH MY GOODNESS A GIRL!!!’ phase seeping back into his mind. Run or stay? Run or stay? Stay seemed to be the perfect option.
He cleared his throat. “What im curious to know is why on earth you would choose to spend your time sitting here talking to me, rather than choosing to speak to men who can actually hold a conversation without making fools of themselves?” Lucan was no oil painting; Camila could have her pick of the bunch judging by the amount of advantageous men in the room tonight. It was a curious question with many answers, but he wanted to know what made him stand out from so many.
“Why me?”

How on Earth did he make her blush? It was almost like sorcery! Mind you, sorcery was banned in Camelot and punished by death. And Camila strongly believed that none if the knights or nobles that surrounded themselves around Arthur or the King were stupid enough to even practice sorcery. Yet then again... some of them were pretty stupid... That was besides the point. What slightly bothered Camila was how Lucan managed to make her blush unintentionally.
"No need to apologize." Without thinking about it, Cam placed her hand upon his as she said this. "Just relax. You're doing a fantastic job so far. It'd really be a shame if you fainted." She looked from his to her hand before realizing where it was. She pulled it away immediately. She had broken her own rules of 'you can look but you can touch' which so involved her.
"Why me?" The fine Lady paused for a moment. Yes, why him? She didn't know why either. "I guess I just like fools rather than idiots." She shrugged, she made it look so easy to be 'smooth' like that but it was a challenge. "And you're terribly handsome, I must say." Cam shrugged again. Lucan was very handsome, very attractive. It was surprising that he wasn't surrounded by woman.
"Can I ask you the same question? Why me? If you've run away from every girl who approaches you, why are you still here talking to me?" Camila was very curious about this answer.

"Just relax. You're doing a fantastic job so far. It'd really be a shame if you fainted."
He couldn’t help but smile at this. She was being too nice to him when obviously he was making a complete idiot of himself. “For me perhaps – but for you? Well I’d say it would be a blessing in disguise” he winked.
Lucan listened to her fools and idiots comment with intent. She’d clearly chosen the wrong man to sit with then – especially as she was now saying that he was handsome?! Him? Ok he wasn’t anything special but to hear that from a girl and now pass out was incredible. All he had to do was keep breathing and to remember to speak once in a while!
“Well you would be the first to say that then” he commented, given the fact that no other girl had managed to speak past a sentence before he’d flee from them.
"Can I ask you the same question? Why me? If you've run away from every girl who approaches you, why are you still here talking to me?"
Lucan smiled knowingly at this. Since he’d first laid eyes on her he’d known this next statement that he was about to say, from the start. He looked to Camilla, not feeling as shy as normal and then stared ahead. He wasn’t about to take her hand and declare his love for her or anything. That wasn’t even the Lucan way. His way with women usually involved a sprint out the door and a bump to the head from passing out. He truly knew that he had no idea what love was. How would he know? Was this how it felt? He decided to just stop thinking and answer her question.
“Perhaps you’ve got something that other girls don’t have”

She couldn't understand how it could be a blessing to have him faint on her, not literally. As much as it frustrated her that he was making her blush and giggle without her own doing, she wanted to continue with their conversation, almost curious to figure it all out. "If you fainted, I would be stuck in a room full of idiots without a fool." A smirk played on her lips but it was more of a grin. Lucan was interesting to her. No one else in the room caught her attention.
And what was this something? It actually bothered her to not know what he meant. She looked at him for a moment before giving a quick glance at the floor and looked back at him. "And what's that?" She asked coolly. Camila was not someone one should keep guessing, she didn't like to not be in the know.

This woman was unreal. So unlike anything or anyone that Lucan had come across. It was as though she understood him. At least she had a sense of humour judging by her next comment about him fainting. He laughed. He hadn’t laughed like this in quite a while. Keeping his gaze rested on her delightful (and very beautiful) face he took a breath.
“Well then – im happy to play that fool if it gives me the chance of talking to you some more”. This smile for a woman was genuine. Camila seemed like that to him. Yvain was so going to get a thwack around the head in training tomorrow. “Would you like another drink?” he asked.
What was it that made her different? Well. That was going to be a tough one to explain, as he didn’t even know himself. “I’ll let you know when I’ve figured that one out myself” he smiled and looked away. Yvain was desperately trying to dance with Lady Arabella and managed to step on her foot! Lucan bit his lip to stop himself from laughing at the sight. His friend clearly had drunk far too much.
On a sudden spur of the moment decision he turned to Camila. “Do you dance? My lady?”
Oh great. He had to go and ask that. Luc couldn’t even dance. Well – he could but very badly in his opinion. If something slow happened to be played then that would be it. He’d be on the floor. That was if she accepted the invitation to dance with him, and he hadn’t even properly asked her yet. “I mean…would you like to dance? With me?” he asked shyly.

"I’ll let you know when I’ve figured that one out myself," was his reply. Camila could not decide if that was something to be happy about or the complete opposite. Mind her, she couldn't really understand, herself, what extactly it was about Lucan and his foolish ways that made him so special. Besides the fact that he was unlike any other man she had the pleasure of meeting and that couldn't hold up her regular charades. But there was something there. Almost a sort of pull...
"Do I dance, Sir Lucan?" Cam grinned thoughtfully at the suiter. Truthfully, Lady Camila had not danced with any man since when she was a child. Her father would often sweep her up into his arms and hold her hand up with his own while his arm held her up securly and they would dance around the kitchen a little. Yes, it wasn't much of a dance lesson for Camila, however, she had to pretend. Part of why she had yet to dance with any other man was due to her 'don't touch rule'. Dancing involved physical contact, although very minimal. Would she truly give this first chance to shy Lucan? He had summed up the courage to ask her to dance after. He stumbbled on his words, which she found far too adorable and made her laugh lightheartedly. "I would very much like to." She smiled fondly at him. Camila took hold of Lucan's hand and stood up, walking along side him to the where everyone seemed to be dancing collectively.

She wanted to dance. She wanted to dance with him. Lucan hadn’t suspected she’d actually take up his offer – then again, Camila was a woman full of surprises and pleasant ones at that. He stood up and extended his hand for her to take and she stood up.
What if it was a slow dance? Oh blimey! He really hadn’t thought this through had he? Could he even dance? Lucan didn’t know himself. What if he stepped on her toes? Or her dress??!! He was trying to push these niggling thoughts to the back of his head but they just seemed to keep hitting him out of nowhere. He felt a little faint now, but knew that he had to keep his cool. He’d already made her laugh enough for the wrong reasons this evening, and he doubted that she would be able to catch him, should he even lose consciousness. No. He could dance. He would – and without any mishaps. He was a Knight of Camelot for crying out loud! He was supposed to be the one who didn’t go all shy or turn red at the slightest word Camila breathed. It was time to act how he was supposed to.
He led her to where a few other courtiers were gathering for the next dance. The last just finishing off. “I should warn you, you may lose a few toes” he grinned to her before they took this places. What if she could dance better than him? Well anyone could dance better than he could but he knew he was going to have to appear at least good at some point. No turning back now – the music was already starting and he already bowing to her just as the other male courtiers were doing so. Yvain was most likely going to enjoy this – Lucan could see his face now.
Then he realised the dance was slow…

Lucan stood up and offered her his hand to take. She figured that her stupid 'rule' was just that, stupid. Camila place her hand delicately into his and stood up infront of him. Good, he was taller, despite her shoes. There just something that had always turned her off about shorter men. Beyond her own doing, the Lady smiled at her suiter before he led her to the dance floor.
"I will take my chances." She said after he spoke. If anything, she feared that he would lose a few toes due to her own mistakes. After this, all the men bowed to the women and the women curtsied back in response. As Lucan bowed Camila held back a small giggle, seeing that he had only done so after he noticed all the other knights and noblemen were doing it. The curtsy was nothing new to Cam. She carefully picked up her dress as she lowered herself. She tried to project as much class as possible. The music started to play and she could see why Luc had stiffened; it was a slower melody.
Slower melodies implied more physical contact. And as she was sure, from what he had told her so far, Lucan hadn't had much contact with any woman in his life. In order not to create an awkward moment of them both just standing there doing nothing, Camila took his left hand and raised it so she could place her hand in it and her left hand rested lightly on his right shoulder. All he needed to do was hold her waists and the could get to dancing.

She seemed determined to still dance with him, even if he’d pre warned her about the toe breaking. Still, it was nice to know she actually had taken up the offer; in all honesty Lucan didn’t think that she would. He watched her with a small smile as she swept herself down into a graceful curtsey. Out of the corner of his eye, Lucan could see Yvain still burning a hole into the floor, but he didn’t care. Right now his focus would be on Camila – and Camila only. It was hard to tear his eyes away from her enough as it was.
A slow dance. SLOW. Ok, he now needed to concentrate more on breathing that remembering the steps. Were there even any steps to go with this dance? He couldn’t remember but he was sure they’d come to him. He felt the burning sensation of one of her hands in his, and the other on his shoulder. He couldn’t not take his eyes from her! How was it that any other time he would be lying passed out on the floor but this time he’d actually got to the stage of dancing with a woman!
He rested his other free hand on her waist gently. She was slimmer than he’d anticipated. Ah, now he remembered the steps! It was funny how it could all come flooding back to you once you got past the initial process of starting everything off. He hadn’t even realised he was now leading her until he actually felt his feet move. He gave her a reassuring smile. “Still got those toes” the small chuckle escaped him, “Lets see if we can keep them in tact throughout”.
It was strange at the fact that he now felt more relaxed with her. The stiffness he’d had when he heard the slow music start had all disappeared; on the plus side he wasn’t as tense either. “I’ve no idea what you’re doing to me this evening Camila,” he told her, referring to his current state and the fact that he was able to talk to her calmly. “But if im honest – I like it”.

It took a little while for Lucan to place his other hand on her waist. He did it delicately, almost as if he had to be cautious, as if she would shatter at his touch... Well, she felt like she was shattering. It was not a negative thing at all. No. His touch gave her goosebumps for a few moments. There was something incredible about that feeling, even more so that it was him causing it for some reason. Camila looked at the knight, gazed at him in a secret awe as she gave him an encouraging smile on the surface to try and releaf him of his tension. She could feel how tense he was. Especially in his shoulder.
Luc's shoulders were huge, muscular from all the sword fights and practices he had done. It was like resting her hand on a big, soft rock. Cam looked at his shoulder for no more than a second along with his chest before quickly looking back up at his face.
"Yes," she answered. "What's a few toes to me? I'm sure I can survive." Cam laughed light. Lucan was actually a good dancer or at least she thought so, nit having danced with anyone before. But he had managed not to step on her toes, trip on her dress or faint quite yet. This night was far from what she had expected when she had arrived for Morgana's return celebration.
His muscle eased up gradually and he expressed how he liked whatever she was doing to him. Although the Lady hadn't the faintest idea what should could possibly be doing to him, she agreed at the same time. Because he too was having some kind of effect on her. Camila looked him in the eyes, finding such gorgeous colours there. It took a second for her to speak. "I could say the same thing abut you." Cam grinned. "And I am certainly enjoying whatever it is you're doing to me. I am liking it quite a bit as well." She smiled at him. It was all true. He was making her due all sorts of new things, some she refused to do in the past. But now that she was doing them, she was really liking it.

This was all going very well indeed. Not only had he managed to prevent himself from crushing her toes, he was actually dancing with a woman who was actually willing to dance with him. Oh…and he hadn’t fainted yet! He could feel a funny light feeling in his stomach, as though it was performing summersaults. Her smile was encouraging and eventually he began to feel himself relaxing a lot more. Lucan flashed her a quick cheeky grin to show that he wasn’t about to fall flat on the floor anytime soon.
"What's a few toes to me? I'm sure I can survive."
He bit back a little bit of laughter. “One of us has to” he chuckled, “and by the way that im going I very much doubt that it will be me”. In all honesty – Lucan felt as though that Camila was killing him slowly – her touch, her look. There was always the option of melting away into a non-existent puddle but thankfully that wouldn’t actually happen. Lucan raised his hand from the grasp in hers and pushed back a small strand of hair that obscured part of her face. “Much better” he smiled and took her hand again, being gentle as though he might break her.
Her statement made him smile shyly – there was something about Camila that almost made him want to just take her hand, make a run for it and never come back. Thankfully this urge was held back and instead he chose to just keep his mouth shut. The way that she looked him in the eyes made him see something that he’d never done before, made him felt feelings that had never even been present. Camila certainly had a hold over him, and it seemed as though she were slowly taking over his soul as well as his mind. It was only now that he realised he was holding the tiny noblewoman very close to him, the burning sensation reappearing again, and now it seemed as though it would never leave – not even when she was as far from him as possible.
There was certainly a hold there, he didn’t know if she could feel it but Lucan couldn’t help the feeling of being drawn to Camila, now it felt like in due course he’d be selling his soul to her, but of course he knew that he’d lost that already, so only his heart remained…for now.

Who would have thought that she, Lady Camila of Faintree, would be dancing tonight. She never danced. And she could see the gaping faces of many men whom she had turned down in the past saying she didn't dance and had no intension on really doing so any time soon. It was as they were stunned that Lucan had managed to persuade her. Now, Camila wasn't sure if it was Luc's lack of confidance that would make this shocking or if it was because Lucan was a cowardly knight that no one believed would have to balls to even talk to her, but she didn't care (although she was sure that the case would be the prior), Lucan was so different. He made damaged but protected all at once. Perhaps it was because she was a damaged soul in need of protecting...
Lucan let go of her hand, hers descending a bit to her side, confused as to what he was doing. Perhaps he didnt actually want to dance? It was then that his newly freed hand reached out to her face to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. Camila's face went scarlett red instantly and her heart started to pound out of her chest. As Lucan took her hand again he was mainly guiding a mindless body. Cam couldn't understand it but she couldn't think straight for a moment, looking away at the floor.
When she eventually came back to her senses, Cam looked back up at Lucan. It was then that she realized that they were getting closer. To be quite honest, Camila did not mind it. It didn't make her feel uneasy at all. It was like they were drawn to be this close, to be almost closer. It was a natural feeling.
Who would have thought that she, Lady Camila of Faintree, would be falling for Lucan tonight.
(didn't know what else to add, didn't know what she could say. And sorry. I started writing last night but fell asleep. Haha. Was badly sunburnt so exhausted)
