::vaughn:: There was something very strange about the way this man spoke of Vaughn's impending doom. He was so confident in his words. So sure of himself. He was not even saying he would die by his hand. He was presenting a vague scenario of how Vaughn would die. Tomorrow. It was specific; oddly so. Still though. For all Vaughn knew, this man could be insane. Suffering from some mental illness. He was not quick or naive enough to trust the words of a stranger.
He chuckled at the thought of it. He would continue to humor him. "Oh is that so," he said, his tone a mocking one. "And how will this be happening?" He asked, slightly sarcastic. "If you could also give me a specific time, because I would like to make sure I have my errands complete before I leave this world." He was ridiculing this man. Little did he know how accurate he was, though Vaughn continued to feel that there was something odd about the way he spoke. He seemed, familiar with something that had obviously not happened yet. It was, bizarre.

::vaughn:: Death. Yes. That was exactly what Vaughn wanted to hear. The boy certainly was not stupid or as naive as some others. He knew that the smartest thing to do was to comply with Vaughn's demands; or so that was what the knight presumed. "Hmm. Death," he repeated aloud, acting as if he was pensively thinking about this. "So many ways to be publicly killed. Burning. Hanging. Axed at the neck." He was just trying to present terrifying methods of death that criminals faced, hoping it continued to scare Neav. "And how old are you boy?" He asked. He did indeed look young, no older than 16. Vaughn truly did take far too much pleasure in threatening others lives, especially children's.
"It is a rather pleasant day for a ride. I shall accompany you." It was not an offer, nor was it a suggestion. It was a statement. Vaughn would go with the boy to, well wherever he was going to go with all those horses. He did not trust Neav to be off by himself. It was too risky. He would have far too much opportunity to go and inform someone of Vaughn's criminal acts and plots. This ample opportunity was not something he was willing to afford Neav.

::vaughn:: Interesting. Very, very interesting. Alistair was plotting evilly? Well this was a first. While Alistair was not exactly the follower, he certainly was not the instigater. The was Vaughn's job. He was usually the one who provoked people; who tried to get on their nerves. Alistair was the silent on, usually the brain behind every situation. And now. Here he was, having some sort of plan. If Vaughn had not gotten the impression that Alistair had a vague, or perhaps detailed, idea of what he wanted to do, then Vaughn would have suggested some possibilities. But his gut told him that his druid friend had been scheming.
"What did you have in mind?" Hearing Alistair saw such things, Vaughn could not resist a sinister smile mixed with excitement. What on earth had the Prince done to him to make him this angry. Usually he had a great deal of patience. He must have greatly offended him or something something greatly aggravating. It did not surprise him. But it did intrigue him even more. Especially since Vaughn was not the kind of person to reject such an interesting idea of getting revenge on a prince of a kingdom.

::vaughn:: "Well I am not your typical man, so typical rules do not apply to an untypical person such as me." He was just playing around. Clearly enjoying this far more than she was. He was not sure when he would get the opportunity to harass Alistair's gem again anyway. This may be his only chance, and with the druid not here to defend her, it was even more fun. Feel free to leave. He would not allow her to have the liberty to dismiss him. He was not making any intention to leave. He would have made himself completely comfortable had he trusted her not to call the guards or make a run for it. But no. For now, he would have to remain near the door.
"You still have not asked," he said smiling. He knew she probably would not, but he was having a great deal of fun teasing her. "Are you really still that bitter because of what happened during our last, encounter?" When he had unleashed the pack of dogs on her and stood on the side, watching. Well, sort of watching. He had diverted his attention as he had not cared about what about to her. So long as she was alive because he got a fair deal of money from it.

::vaughn:: Now what did this man mean about that? Was he threatening him, saying that he was going to kill him? Vaughn felt he had fairly reasonable instincts, and his gut was not seeing this man to have said his statement in a threatening way. In fact, he seemed rather calm about it. He said it in almost the same way Vaughn had told him he was going to die, except in a less amused manner. It was strange indeed. Vaughn had insight. He knew that a group of bandits were coming. What had led this man to make such conclusions?
"And why do you say that?" He asked, vocalizing this curiosity. He was not going to offer the man any information or warning about the thieves that were probably not going to take much longer from charging out from the maze. He owed this man nothing. He was another insignificant human being, and yet, out of sheer curiosity and boredom, he would humor him and question his intentions and reasons for claiming that Vaughn was to meet his death. He did not fear death, but that did not diminish his curiousness.

::vaughn:: Vaughn turned to a familiar voice. However, Alistair was a bit different this time. Even when they did happen to cross paths or meet up, they never really engaged in small talk and exchanged formalities. They were very direct men, getting to the point for they were both people of purpose. But still, when Alistair asked this question Vaughn could not help but notice that his voice lacked the calmness it usually held. Vaughn flashed an amused smile and turned his gaze forward again.
"Is that anger I detect in your usually calm voice?" Vaughn asked. He was intrigued. What had made this man so angry? What had the power to do such a thing for the many years Vaughn had known him, he had never seen him so close to being enraged. He was also aware that he had not answered Alistair's question. He was far more interested in the reason that had caused his current emotional state.

::vaughn:: Vaughn of course had no idea that Neav's own emotions were channeled through the horses. He did think it was a bit of a coincidence that they all reacted at once, and then were immediately silenced at once without any words or actions of comfort. Still. Vaughn clearly did not have a great understanding of horses, nor did he care enough to ask. They were animals who were a means of getting from one place to another; that was all that mattered to the nomadic knight.
He let out a bit of a snicker at the boys reaction to Vaughn's revelation of his murderous plan. His face was pale and he was suggesting an alternate means of avoiding the violent confrontation with opposition who would have a problem with him riding the horses out of the city. "No. We will stick with the other plan." Why? Because Vaughn enjoyed seeing how the boy reacted to it. "It will be easier at night anyway, and more difficult for them to follow me." He then took a step towards the boy, his swords still held tightly in his hands, trying to intimidate the boy. "It will also make you an accomplice to murder. What is the penalty for that in Camelot? Some punishments vary according to the kingdom." Vaughn was slightly sarcastic in asking the question, and he was sort of exaggerating Neav's involvement in this plot. But still. It was funny to the knight.

::vaughn:: While he knew she was not thrilled by the idea of him having his few moments, he was going to take advantage of her compliance and try to drag out this encounter with her as much as possible. After all, he had not planned to just come in here, question her, and them immediately leave. Oh no no. This time, he would spend more time with her. This time, Alistair was not here to stop her. He was locked in the dungeon because an old lady kicked his ass. Some formidable partner in crime Vaughn has allied himself with.
He stayed silent, as if he was expecting something. He was acting as if he was, but he knew that she would not ask it. After a few moments of silence, he finally spoke. "I am not sure how familiar you are with formalities, but the way it usually goes is that when ones is asked how they have been, the polite response is reciprocating by asking the questioner, the same thing." He really was drawing this meeting out, and he was enjoying every single second of it.

::vaughn:: Vaughn was not a people person. But he was also like a child in a candy shop. He had left his family just a month or so ago and he was traveling the word, living new adventure, loving causing trouble when he could. He had not yet decided if he wanted to make his mishaps a solo act or if there was room for a partner or two. Right now, he had joined a small group of bandits who he had just happened to come across. They were idiots. Not at all intelligent; just robbing whoever they thought would have something on them. Still, Vaughn was very new to this nomadic lifestyle so he decided to join them; it was very temporary since permanence was never his sort of thing.
They had been going through the labyrinth for quite some time. Most of them were frustrated by its complicated layout, but Vaughn silently went through the obstacle and eventually, he was the first one out. He actually used his brain rather than just took a random twist and turn, even though there was inevitably some of that necessary to break free from all this greenery. When he got to the other side, all he saw was a man. Nothing exciting. Nothing extraordinary. The bandits were expecting something grand as a reward of getting through this maze. They were going to be massively disappointed.
"You are going to die." Vaughn's voice lacked any sympathy, compassion, in fact it had no emotion at all other than amusement. For some reason, he had an image of all the bandits charging out from the maze, looking like lunatics, robbing and killing this man because they were cranky over not having found something better at the end of their efforts. Such a comical image indeed.

::vaughn:: Vaughn had not expected anyone to have seen him commit this crime, so when a woman stopped on her horse and told him to return the items, he looked up at her, smirking. Vaughn already did not take well to being told what to do, and so for this woman to demand him to return the items, well, Vaughn was not exactly preparing to comply. He looked at the woman, a gleam of amusement in his eyes. She was a noblewoman. It was easy to tell with her confidence, grace, and of course more evident was her attire. Oh, this was going to be fun.
"And what if I do not?" He questioned. Was she going to have him arrested? He could care less. Not that he liked the dungeons, but he was cocky enough to believe that he was a match for a couple of guards. He continued to smile. "Are you going to dismount from your animal and make me?" He said this in a bit of a suggestive way, a hint of perversion in his voice. And why not? He was in the presence of a rather beautiful noblewoman. Her features were indeed unique and Vaughn would never pass the opportunity to flirt a little with a woman of her radiance.

::vaughn:: The whole notion of this five day festivity was completely ridiculous. Camelot was celebrating the fact that they had signed a peace treaty with four other kingdoms but really, once circumstances changed, Vaughn knew that this treaty would represent nothing more than false promises and betrayal. So why celebrate something that was inevitably going to fail? It just did not make sense at all. But never the less, he was here. He would be granted entrance because he was technically a knight and had the papers and seal to prove it. It helped that most had never really heard of the Adeney family but he could give details about it which eliminate any misgivings about him pretending to be someone he was not.
So here he was; in Camelot; watching the servants begin to set up for this preposterous excuse to waste money and show off ones extravagance. Though it was night everyone seemed to be rather busy and so the streets were not as abandoned as they usually were. Vaughn watched from a distance though, a silent spectator, chuckling at how pathetic this festivity was going to be, and yet, wanted only to be a part of it to see what unplanned mischief he could create.

::vaughn:: Vaughn watched her take out the knife and let out a bit of a snicker. How many daggers did that woman carry with her? Maybe he would have to search her. Now there was an amusing thought. He did not like the idea that she was making conditions for him. He did not follow rules and guidelines and certainly did not take well to being told what to do. He did not say anything though. No need to argue about it. He would just not listen to her.
What did he want? Oh how that was a very loaded question. "Just a few moments of your time," he answered, rather honestly. He did not want anything from her specifically, apart from a bit of information. He began to move towards her, clearly disregarding her 'stay away condition'. But he did it with purpose. He went to the door and leaned against it, his back now rested against it hearing it creak to a close. He would remain in this position for now, just to make sure she did not make a run for it. "So, how have you been My Lady?" He was just stalling, trying to make small talk, hoping it would annoy her and make her feel like it was a waste of time. He just leaned there, casually, acting as he had not in fact broken into her chambers in the middle of the night, but rather, looked like was having a civilized conversation with a friend.

::vaughn:: Son. Of. A. Bitch. Vaughn cringed in pain and it was enough for her to be able to move his arm, and thus eliminate her vulnerable position. He did not cry out, but he would be lying if he said it had not hurt. After a few moments of waiting for that initial intense pain to subside, he regained his composure. He looked at her, knowing that it would only be moments before she probably called for some guards. He would never admit defeat or allow this one foot stomping, literally, incident to stop him or discourage him. "I have a challenge for you." An amused, and very sinister smile began to reappear on his face. His eyes locked on her as she was now standing across from him. He wanted her to know that he would not be kidding with what he was about to say.
"I have been in your castle before. I explored the entire thing. I know where all the rooms are, including the other royal chamber." He continued to smile in the most devilish way possible. "Call the guards, and I will go visit the king. Let us see who gets there first." He paused, mentally planning the quickest way for him to get to her father's chambers. "You may be healthy enough to defend yourself. Let us see if your crippled, sick father will be. If not, then congratulations in advance for you will become Queen of Gwent." Yes, he was threatening to kill an old, defenseless man. Not because he had done anything to him. But because he was Isadora`s father and was now the leverage he would use against her. "So call the guards. I will just be on my way then," he said as he began to head to the window. Was it a risk she would be willing to take? He was about to find out.

::vaughn:: Camelot city. That was where Vaughn's wandering had led him to this time. He really had no destination, and so could take his time with any kingdom or city he found himself in. Unfortunately for the citizens of Camelot, it was this particular city that he decided to stay in and perhaps stir up some trouble if he could. It was the only fun life had to offer and the only reason he kept traveling. To have new experiences and provoke as many people as he could on the way.
It was very late at night and there were only a few people scurrying about. Drunk men were leaving the taverns. Women were being escorted to their homes. But Vaughn was simply bored and so decided to roam around the city. He was clad in his armor, as usual, making him appear to be a knight. Something he enjoyed people initially assuming and while he was technically one in title, he was certainly not one in spirit. His next actions would indeed prove this.
A old man was still putting away the things from his shop. He had a cart outside and was slowly preparing the horse so that he could attach his cart, which was conveniently on wheels to the horse and be on his way. The man was moving at a very slow pace however. It was to be expected of him; he looked to be at least sixty years in age. Normally, a knight would probably see this poor man and assist him. Not Vaughn Adeney. No. Instead he took advantage of this situation. When the man's back was turned, Vaughn peaked under the cloth that had been concealing whatever goods he had underneath and saw a few ornaments and trinkets. Vaughn grabbed a handful and put them in his pocket.
Rather proud of his very smooth theft he grinned and began to walk away, unaware that his actions had been regarded by a spectator not too far.

::vaughn:: Vaughn could do no such thing. Not when there was a chance that she would scream for help. Vaughn had no problem killing others when defending himself, but he was not stupid. He would be outnumbered for the amount of guards that would be rushing in to safe the princess of Gwent. He kept a firm grasp on her, though she had added a bit more distance between the knife and her throat. He did not move his position any more than that. "Are you going to behave?" He asked in an entertained voice. This entire think was funny to him, even if it was not to her.
"If you do not, then I will be forced to make you behave." Though he said it in a bit of a perverted way, he meant more so physical violence. He was so tempted to, if only it was to satisfy Vaughn's curiousity as to what Alistair would do if he harmed his precious little gem. Still. Alistair's usefullness had not worn out yet, so Vaughn would keep him around. You never know that could happen in the future though. Vaughn tended not to make long term plans.

::vaughn:: So they were going to play this cat and mouse game were they? She must have had enough practice running from Alistair and him chasing her. Vaughn had to move quickly as well if he were to grab her before she reached the door. He jumped up on the bed, only needing to take a few more steps before he hopped off, using the piece of furniture as a shortcut. While doing that, he quickly pulled out his dagger which had previously been at his side.
He grabbed her by the arm, forcefully pulling her back towards him, and feeling something hard in the sleeve. He was not an idiot. He had been around enough weapons to be able to recognize it just from the feel. He held her wrist tightly with one hand, twisting her arm behind her, and with his other hand, wrapped his arm around her neck positioning the dagger at its side, against her throat. It was not enough to cut her skin, but it was close enough so that the cold metal was touching her neck. He was now standing right behind her, his head very close to hers, too close perhaps, but it was necessary to make sure she was not out of reach. He lowered his head a bit, so that he was talking directly in her ear. He spoke in a low voice, considering they were so close to the door, he did not want anyone else to hear them.
"It would be a great shame to cut such fair skin." With one hand, he began to lift up her sleeve a bit to find the very weapon he had felt before. He took a bit too long doing so as well, recalling how he had let his hands linger before when trying her up with rope. Now, he was taking his time rolling up her sleeve, enjoying every second of this small gesture. "Well well, what do we have here?" He asked. His voice was amused and though she could not see his expression right now, he was smirking. He pulled out the dagger, and unable to keep a hold of her wrist and the weapon at the same time, released her wrist for only one second, tucked the knife in his pocket, and took hold of her arm once again. "Such a weapon really does not suit you," he added, in a mocking tone.

::vaughn:: "And where are your parents now?" He asked, wondering about her reasons for being out here in the woods. "Such dangerous woods is not a good place for a vulnerable woman to be alone in." Except for whoever Moros was. "Someone could take advantage of you." He said this with a smirk for there was a bit of irony in that statement. He had practically threatened to take advantage of her before when she was in the river, though he would not have. Then again, in a way be had to some mild extent, since he still had her pants and had refused to give them back before.
She was continuing to express her curiosity about his name. Vaughn could have some fun with this. "Since you do not think your name suits you, you can decide what name suits me." He did not care what he was referred to. He did not say this to be polite to her either. He said it, because he thought it could be comical to see what she came up with. The last time he tried something like this, the woman had come up with the name Vlad.
And that was when an animal came. Had Kazira not stated his name, he would have wondered where it was coming from. So this was the companion. Well that was slightly disappointing. It was no competition. It was an animal. Vaughn chuckled, clearly not feeling any fear or intimidation from the animal even though it was rather large and even though it was growling at him. And she was defending him to the canine. How very, humorous. Vaughn held Kazira's dagger tightly, tracing the air with it, mostly to show the canine that he was armed, and that he was not afraid to stab the creature. He just watched it's every move. "Have you ever tried dog meat before?" He was asking Kazira, but still looking at Moros with a gleam of amusement in his eyes.

::vaughn:: It seemed the boy was thinking things more thoroughly through than Vaughn was. He was more the kind of man who lived in the moment. Made no long term plans. So such things as the gate guards was not even a thought that had occurred to him. He would deal with things as they came, but he did want to give the boy an answer. Whether it would actually happen or not, Vaughn could not tell for certain. He just wanted to see how much he could scare the stable boy. "They will be working their last shift tonight."
Meaning, Vaughn would kill him. Again, it was not a plan set in stone. He just wanted to try to intimidate Neav. It if worked, wonderful. If it did not, Vaughn would just keep trying. "It will not be hard either. They will be on foot, I will be riding fast on the horse. One swift motion and-" Vaughn quickly pulled out both his swords from the sheaths strapped to his back, cutting the air with them in the exact same way he would cut off a man's head. He was just giving Neav a visual image of what he was going to do to them; or what he could do to them rather.
Chuckling at the image he was trying to portray, Vaughn still kept hold of his two weapons as Neav assumed that he needed the necessary riding equipment. "Yes. Everything that is needed. And anything extra." Vaughn did not know what extra things he needed right now. He just threw that thought in there in case the boy thought of anything else; not that he expected Neav would offer up extra things to a man who was jeopardizing his job and life.

::vaughn:: Vaughn enjoyed lurking in the shadows of the darkness. This situation was no exception. He was however rather eager to see her again. Hearing her question only made him smirk. This facial expression remained frozen as he stayed in the concealment of the dark. "Come now My Lady," he began to speak. Would she recognize his voice, only with him having said a few words? Vaughn did have to wonder if Alistair had told her anything about him, prior to that mini encounter in the woods. He did not care of course if the druid spoke badly of him or not; he was just curious. Perhaps he would find out tonight.
"Surely you would not forget such a memorable and familiar face." It was now that he stepped more into the light so that she could get a better look at him. Still smirking, he kept a bit of a distance between them, as he really had only stood up from having been seated on the edge of her bed. Did she even know his name? Had Alistair told her? So many questions. He would find out the answers soon enough but for now, he was going to enjoy being in her company once again.

::vaughn:: Vaughn could not believe it. He was still reeling over the fact that his partner in crime was knocked unconscious by an old woman. An old woman! Vaughn had witnessed the entire thing and had been too busy laughing to step in and attempt to help him. It was the most ridiculous, most comical thing he had ever witnessed for some time. However, with that fate of his friend came the possibility that he would be hanged for his actions. Vaughn knew about what happened between the princess of Gwent and Alistair the druid. Such a strange combination. Of course he did not know the complexities of their relationship, but he knew enough to tease him endlessly about it.
Especially when they had sneaked into her room. And even more so when he stole her undergarments. Which he still had tucked in his pocket. Alistair thought he had been so sneaky, being a strangely honorable man and returning them to their rightful place. But no. Vaughn kept a pair, just for the fun of it. And it would be even more fun to wave it in her face now.
Vaughn had never been alone with the princess. There was no need for it. The last time they met, he had allowed a group of men to abuse her in whatever way they saw fit, and he had not cared. Did he regret his actions? Not in the slightest. It was why he did not feel guilty or uncertain while climbing up the castle wall. He knew the layout of the castle now, thanks to his and Alistair's break in escapade not too long ago; and so he made his way to the princess' window. Jumping through it, he looked around, grinning at the familiarity of it. She was not present.
He would wait. It would be worth the wait indeed. He sat on her bed, smirking at this entire situation. Alistair was in prison. The princess arrested him. And Vaughn was in her bedroom in the middle of the night, still with her personal belongings safely tucked in his pocket. He was not sure why he was so proud of this fact. He just was. And so, he sat there, waiting for her to come, so incredibly amused by what has been happening within the past week or so.
