::vaughn:: Vaughn continued to smirk as they remained on the subject of her bedroom. Had she meant that to be a rhetorical question? Either way, he just had to answer it. "Your bedroom would certainly be the mots, rewarding place in the entire castle." He obviously meant that in the most perverted way possible. "And a place worth spending the most time in." Again, flirtatious, but not exactly in a flattering way. As they had already established, she did not seem to care much for his compliments or suggestive remarks.
He chuckled at her sudden urge to introduce him to her family. There was not saying he would not return, but he doubted he would come all the way back to meet her family if he already met them today. It would not be as fun. "And how will you be introducing me?" He asked. She could not say that he was the man blackmailing her. He would not make good on his word to keep her promise a secret then. He would exploit it in the biggest and worst way he could possibly think of. "A mysterious friend that you encountered in the middle of the night? I do not think she will appreciate you bringing strangers like that home," he said, mockingly.

::vaughn:: When the time comes, or if the time comes. This made Vaughn smirk. "The time may come sooner than you think. We will be visiting your chambers after all, will we not?" He was obviously not going to force anything. If nothing else, this was all just flirting and taking it to a whole new level. Vaughn was not shy to admit that yes, he was a womanizer. Though it was more fun when he was trying to convince the woman, especially someone as stubborn and opinionated as Alegra. She seemed to show no apparent discomfort with his vocal advances and that motivated him.
Was he going to force her. Oh there were so many ways to answer that question. On the hand hand, as he previously concluded, he was curious to meet her family. On the other, if her brother was not here and her mother would not be awake for some time, no. That was not an excuse. Surely he would find a way to entertain himself until she awoke. But the question was, did he really want to? "No. I will not force you." This was not him being nice. It was him having an ulterior motive. "I will just return one day, perhaps when you are fulfilling your knightly duties, and introduce myself to what I am sure is your lovely family." That would be great fun indeed.

::vaughn:: He chuckled at her polite refusal. It was not rejection to Vaughn. He knew that she would not accept, yet. He had shown her no kindness, no respect, nothing that would attract her to him. This did not matter. Had he wanted to give that impression, he would have. But life was boring when everyone was too kind. If they acted as they truly were, then things would be far more interesting. And that was all Vaughn was doing; keeping things interesting. "You seem like a woman willing to try new things. You should try to, experience knew kinds of people as well. Move outside your comfort zone." He was not trying to convince her, he was just trying to see how she would react to his clearly suggestive, less than innocent remarks. If it happened, it happened. If it did not, Vaughn would still walk away a richer man.
"So what of your family. Will you be introducing me to them?" No matter whether she did or did not. He was curious to see what they were like, and how she would introduce him to them. This grand family who lived such a rich lifestyle and who raised such a daughter. Yes. Vaughn reckoned that he would meet them at some point in life. Maybe not today, but at some point.

::vaughn:: Once again, Vaughn was only half listening. Just because he did not react to everything she said however, did not mean that somewhere inside his head, the words were processing. "You will have to attract a husband one day. What kind of man would want a wife who does not put effort into her appearance. Of course, you will also be expected to give up these late night ventures of yours." He was really only saying this, because he knew her reaction. Either defensive, or sarcastic, or nothing. Never the less, Vaughn grew amused by the thought of her being married. He may not know her well, but he knew her well enough to feel sorry for the man who ended up with her. Well, not really but that was what he was going to say. "I pity the man who must constantly deal with you," he remarked, chuckling. It was a comment, meant in a teasing way of course. He cared nothing for whoever that man was. Compassion and sympathy were two traits that he lacked.
"Modesty is supposed to humble a person, is it not. It is perceived as a positive personality trait and you must be the only one who thinks otherwise." And him of course. He did not see the use in categorizing what were positive and negative qualities in a person. Qualities were qualities; no matter whether they were good or bad, they still made up a person. "As a noble woman however, I suppose you do not know the meaning of the word." These kinds of rich people were vain, practically swimming in their own vanity really. Vaughn's family had been no exception. It was the way of nobility. If you had it, embrace it to the fullest.
"You would indeed make a pretty face during intimacy," he said in a suggestive way, throwing out another sexual innuendo. It was far too tempting not to. "I could always prove that to you," he added, still smirking at the thought. She was growing more talkative. He was learning more and more from her every word she said, and would soon enough be able to anticipate her actions. This would be extremely important as they neared the castle. Would she admit that she had no choice in this matter of blackmail, or would she fight him on it and try something more drastic against him. The question was an amusing thought, and Vaughn favored either outcome.

::vaughn:: Vaughn was far too amused by this. The boy was shaking. From fear perhaps? Either way he had gotten to the child and that was all that mattered. "Very well, he should be on our way then," he told him. The threat he made was not an empty one. He would kill a horse just as he could kill a person with no hesitancy at all. "Keep in mind, I know where you reside, and I will now know where the horses are. Do not test my patience."
Children were sneaky, and Vaughn was not one to underestimate their intelligence. He did not find them a challenge to overcome, though he did not dismiss them so quickly. They did indeed have creative minds, but Vaughn enjoyed people trying to stand up to him. It only made it more rewarding when he had something against them, like right now. He put the dagger at his side. "And do not mistake me or over estimate my compassion. Just because my dagger is at my side, does not mean I can not pull it out in an instant." He then just smiled at the boy. "Now, lead the way." Vaughn was going to walk behind him, but at a close distance. That way, he would be able to have a hold on him if need be, or disappear into another abandoned alley way if he called out for help.

::vaughn:: The five day festivities. This was by far one of the most ridiculous things that Vaughn had ever heard about. A peace treaty. Idiot kings believed that signing it on paper meant something, but it was absolutely disposable. They could easily break their word and Vaughn was fairly certain that somewhere down the road, one of them would. Yet, they celebrated the fact that they all had the mental capacity to sign a temporary alliance. Never the less, it could prove to be an advantage. There would be wealthy royalty and nobility throughout the various kingdoms and that would mean it would be an extremely extravagant event. Extravagance meant wealth, and wealth meant, well, money in Vaughn's pocket. He only attended to see what it had to offer and what fun he could create upon attending.
Getting in was not difficult at all. He was dressed as a knight and was able to get the necessary attire for the next five days, if he did in fact plan to stay here for that long. He provided the necessary seal and papers proving his nobility. Vaughn Adeney, first son of Lord Adeney. The guards granted him entrance all too easily. They had not heard of him, but could not deny the completely authentic papers he had to offer.
Tonight was the night of introductions. Thank god it was not a themed ball. The idea of dressing in the theme of a season added to the ridiculousness of this entire festival. Tonight, Vaughn was dressed in a dark outfit, with some gold work on his suit. It was one of the few times he did not wear his armor in public, though he would not be self conscious about it. Tonight was supposed to be a time to celebrate peace. No one would create a scene, unless it was him. Or well, hopefully. He would not want everyone else to have all the fun now would he.
Upon entering, his eyes scanned the crowd. It was filled with people and everyone extremely dressed up in their fancy clothing. Beautiful women surrounded the room. Vaughn could not help but smile at this. Upon his surveying of the crowd, his gaze rested on one particular woman. He knew who she was, even though he had not personally met her yet: Lady Morgana. The King`s ward. A woman raised practically like the King of Camelot's daughter. Vaughn wanted to get to know her indeed. He began to approach her.
One of the worst things about such an event was the fact that he would have to act genuinely charming. Vaughn could be quite charismatic, but it was all an act. His true nature different from this a great deal. But tonight, he would have to at least act like a noble knight. Honorable. Respectful. Kind. How very revolting. But, if it could grant him being in the company of such a beautiful woman as Lady Morgana herself, then why not. When he was standing near her, he lowered himself in a bit of a bow. "My Lady," he greeted in the most respectful voice he could create. He looked up at her, smiling. "I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting you," he added, just to be more polite. Tonight was going to be an interesting night indeed.

::vaughn:: Neav. "Well Neav, I will be sure you remember your name." Vaughn may very well forget it. Though his memory was not terrible, he did not make it a habit to remember strangers names. He did not care enough about the people he encountered, but this boy, well, Vaughn find him highly entertaining. He did not return the favor however, not yet revealing his own name. He would build up to that. "Your tolerance for them must be very high then." The boy could be lying, or he could be telling the truth. Either way, Vaughn had a purpose for his question.
"If you try anything or draw the attention of anyone else, then I will ensure that one of the animals you are responsible for taking care of, does not make it out of the stable ever again." Yes, Vaughn was threatening a horse; an innocent animal. "Whether you like them or not, they are ultimately your responsibility as you are the stable boy. So I do not think the King or Prince will appreciate one of their prized animals turning up dead under your watch." Vaughn gave a sinister smile. "Are we clear on the terms, Neav?"

::vaughn:: Vaughn did not take well to being told what to do. There was a difference when he and Alistair were strategizing, and now when he was telling him what to do because his own morals got in the way. Vaughn looked at him, a gleam of amusement in his eyes and while still looking at Alistair, grabbed a handful of whatever was in the drawer and slowly put it in the back. He was drawing out the actions of what Alistair had warningly told him not to do, and that was the only reason Vaughn was doing it, to defy him.
Vaughn had to say that this was more fun than the treasury. While it would have more gold and such, her room had far more entertaining things and ones that clearly made Alistair feel, what was the word, uncomfortable? After grabbing the handful of undergarments, he went to her other drawer, seeing some more jewelry and ornaments. He grabbed a few. "Lets go," he stated making his way to the door. They could always come back on the way out if Vaughn felt like their robbery mission was lacking.

::vaughn:: Vaughn did not trust the boy. He did not trust anyone really, but he was not about to let this boy run off and leave him here waiting. Vaughn was not an idiot. "Before we go, I have two questions for you." He maintained a close distance to the child so that if he tried to run, Vaughn would not be out of reach from him. "First, since we skipped the introduction part of our meeting, what is your name?" It was easy enough to find him by asking for the stable boy, but Vaughn wanted to know just so his job would be all the more easier if it ever came that he needed to locate the boy.
"And secondly, do you like horses?" He expected both answers. He asked the questions far too casually for someone who held a firm grasp on a dagger, and had two swords strapped to his back. He would alter his plan according to the boy's answer. Either way, he would form a plan before blindly following the child to retrieve a horse that he did not even need.

::vaughn:: Vaughn had not expected Alistair to react well to his small gesture. It amused him though, and so he chuckled at Alistair's defensiveness. "Where is your sense of fun. Do you know how much we could get for this? We can auction it off and give it to the highest bidder." Vaughn was not actually going to do it. He was just entertaining the idea because he knew Alistair would not be a fan of it. Maybe he would go so far as to actually take them though.
"Have you not always wondered? Then again I suppose with all those nights you two spent together, your wondering was short lived as you must have gotten far enough to see it first hand." Yes, Vaughn was making inappropriate jokes, mocking whatever intimacy these two had, implying that Alistair had taken things to the next level. "If I had known that you were going to steal the princess' virtue in addition to stealing the princess, I would have increased the ransom even more."

::vaughn:: Vaughn chuckled as the boy began to explain that the king or prince could kill him for it. "Well that is not my concern now is it." He could not care less if the boy died for helping him steal a horse. The point would be that Vaughn got the horse and put the boy in a difficult position. His ruthless behavior often found situations like these as the most satisfactory. What other enjoyments did life have to offer? None.
"The way I see it you have two options. Either die here immediately, by my hand." While he said this, he once again held up the knife, waving it around right in Neav's line of sight. "Or, you can give me a horse and risk death by the King's hand." He smirked, either option worked for him. Neither were really that good for Neav. "The choice is yours. You best decide quickly for your own sake. While I could wait here all day, I am certain you have places to be, stables to clean, and your presence will be questioned." But not discovered as Vaughn planned to keep him in this abandoned alley way for as long as possible.

::vaughn:: He was a stable boy? For the Prince of Camelot? Oh this was perfect. What good fortune had come in meeting this boy. Vaughn had so many options, he needed to narrow it down to see how he wanted to proceed. He began to distance the dagger a bit, but not to the point of seeming less threatening. So a stable boy. Responsible for the horses. Now Vaughn knew what he wanted.
"I want a horse then," he told him. Vaughn did not actually. But because the boy cared after them, that was the only reason Vaughn had said he wanted one. Little did he know just how much the boy cared for the horses. They were just animals to the nomadic knight and therefore, did not mean anything to him, other than being a means of transportation and for that reason he would feed them and allow them to rest. But he did not go out of his way to show them any compassion and extra special care. "And not just any horse. One of the Prince's or King's horse." If he was their stable boy, that meant he had access to them, and so now did Vaughn.
[[ No problem. I know the feeling. ]]

::vaughn:: "I am certain she would," Vaughn agreed. "Especially since our last encounter was so, pleasant." He had said things to her, allowed others to almost do things to her, and then went out of his way to make her uncomfortable and to piss off Alistair. All in all, it was a rather productive day. Whatever the case, in the end, they had gotten the money and that was all Vaughn cared about. He did not care if they were taking a bit too long in the room. This was one of the rooms Vaughn had wanted to go in. This room, and then the Kings. It would be where a great deal of valuables would be, but of course, not the most.
Vaughn continued rummaging through her drawers, finding one where she kept her undergarments. A smile crept on his lips as he saw these. "I have found something of great value," he said and before Alistair could ask what it was, Vaughn picked up one of them and tossed it towards him, expecting his quick reflexes to be able to catch it. Vaughn wondered how much they would be able to sell this for, to a drunken perverted man who was feeling rather lonely. They could take advantage of this indeed. And Vaughn fully intended to, even if Alistair did not.

::vaughn:: Vaughn chuckled at Alistair's teasing. He did not take such things seriously, nor was he offended in the least by the druid's words. It was amusing if nothing else. "I would have to say that this gold one here matches the best," he said, holding up a gold bracelet. Gold. Such a wonderful material. "I do believe it matches my skin tone rather well," he added chuckling as he put it in his pocket. Some of these expensive pieces should go in his pocket rather than the bag, just to be on the safe side in case anything were to happen to it.
"Do you not want to find the one best suited for you?" He asked, sticking picking away at the different jewelry she just left here. It was ridiculous how much wealth people squandered. Vaughn would never understand it. Having resided with three sisters in his previous lifestyle, he knew that vanity a woman had, and even sometimes men. "Gold. Silver. Diamonds. All of these will go with just about anything and everything." He meant that more of a, 'it is all going to make us wealthy' type of way. Vaughn was not the kind of man to suck dry all the wealth of another, though he had opportunity to do so. It was more about being the one in power to do so. The fact that he was able to do it made it better than actually going through with it.
Such as now. He would not steal everthing; just enough for her to know that some things were missing. "Perhaps we should leave a note. Send her our regards." Would Alistair admit to her that he was a part of this? Vaughn had no problem with it. After all, there was not much she could do about it, and she more than likely remembered who he was.

::vaughn:: Vaughn had been watching extremely carefully to wait for the perfect opportune moment to channel the attack. Like before, he had found idiotic bandits who would believe that they were really part of this plan and would therefore, be receiving a decent amount of the ransom. They could not be more wrong. Vaughn planned to cut their involvement as soon as they had proved their usefulness, and flee with Alistair and King Uther of Camelot. It was a risky plan, but what fun would it be if it was not. The money was not the only thing that Vaughn was after; it was having that control over someone. Being able to put them in a position where they could do nothing to ensure their safety. Everyone reacted to such things differently, and seeing the diversity of these reactions greatly amused the nomadic knight.
He saw Alistair come into view, along with a few other men. It was manageable. Not impossible to divert the king's attention. Vaughn had not been standing with the bandits however, he was hiding closer to the king and where all the action would be. Once Alistair called their attention towards the bandits, that had been the signal for them to attack. Thankfully they reacted as according to plan. The bandits, like fools, rode towards the knights. They were reckless, and would most likely get themselves killed, which was absolutely perfect. Once the swords started clanging, Vaughn watched very carefully from his hiding spot to see the kings reaction, and where he would position himself so that they could proceed with their next plan of attack and the purpose of this entire mission: to capture the king.

::vaughn:: "What do you do to earn your living, boy?" Vaughn asked in an even tempered voice. He did not overreact to situations, nor did he express any anger. His voice was often leveled and emotionless, and right now was no exception. He wanted whatever the boy had to offer. To have control over someone was Vaughn's greatest amusement in life. He had it when he blackmailed a noble, he had it when he helped kidnap someone for ransom, and now he had it when holding a knife against the boy's throat.
To Vaughn, life was a game. To a man who feared nothing, not even death, he tended to be reckless and disregard the emotions and feelings of others. This is what justified his ability to threaten even a child's life with no reluctance or compassion.

::vaughn:: "I have found nothing else worth complimenting." As Vaughn would not compliment for the purpose of raising ones self esteem, or flattering them, he would not hesitate in saying if there was nothing else worth kind words. What was he to say about her personality anyway? "Take the more shallow route," he told her. "Accept whatever compliment is given to you. You are very dismissive of them, not having said a thank you for a single one." Vaughn chuckled, as he said it as more of a joke than anything else. He cared nothing for manners. He also knew that under the circumstances that they met, his comments were more than likely unwanted. Still. He enjoyed teasing her. "You take them for granted quite a bit."
As he got a better picture of the estate, he began memorizing the architecture. Studying, the different entrances that he saw at their distance, seeing where the guards were positioned; he was studying everything he could possibly see from the outside. Soon enough, he would be able to do the same thing when he got inside. Able to analyze and talk at the same time, he managed to continue their conversation, listening to her argument. Defensive, yet again. "You act as if modesty is a bad trait. Some would consider it a good one. But once again, you prove yourself to possess more negative qualities than positive ones."
Vaughn himself did not care; they were all the same. He however knew others perspectives. Selfishness, greed, unsympathetic, these were all regarded as negative qualities by others, when really, they were just necessary ones for some to survive. He did not feel the need to justify the way he was though. He chuckled once again. "And you expect compliments regarding your personality when once they are given, you defensively disprove them."

::vaughn:: "Since when have I ever been shy," he said in reference to her remark about not wanting to admit it. "I would have easily complimented your ability to create the perfect name. It is not as if I have refrained from paying you other compliments in the recent past," he said in a suggestive tone. He had, and he was not shy to give another, even though it did not flatter her nor irritate her. It was merely Vaughn vocalizing what he believed to be true, and why refrain from doing that?
"I would not have received as much money as I plan to take from you if you did not appear to be this wealthy." As he had previously decided, his intention was not to clean her dry of wealth and make her family financially suffer. He did not decide that out of compassion for her and her family, but rather, he just saw it as useless. There was no drawn out fun in that. If he were to hypothetically take all the money, enough for them to be in a poorer state, then the moment of control would be over. Besides, what would Vaughn do with all that money. As he was living his life as a nomad, it would not be easy to carry all that money with him.
"Well off," he repeated chuckling. "Why have you chosen now to be modest, when previously, you have shown no attempt to do so. Quite the opposite in fact." The showing off, the arrogant remarks. Of course, it could just be her over compensating for deep rooted insecurities, but Vaughn doubted it. She was a confident woman; confident in skills that most noble women did not possess or chose to boast about.

::vaughn:: "Ah yes, you do seem to have your pride in going against the norm." Why would the issue of his name be any different. Though it seemed rather simplistic to have such a grand conversation about. Who knew Vaughn would find so much entertainment in withholding such a simple fact as his name. Though, it was perhaps the only piece of personal information pertaining to him that he would reveal, and even then it was to a limited group of people. "There was no purpose in me not telling you my name. Other than curiosity to see what name you did come up with. Vladimir is not bad." Vlad sounded strange, unsophisticated, and yet, Vaughn did not care.
"I can imagine," he said smirking as she spoke about society's standards and the ignorance of women. Was Vaughn sexist? Not at all. He believed men and women to be equally ignorant and even if Alegra was being sarcastic in this moment, he would still agree with her about that fact. As the castle came into view, Vaughn grinned, his eyes soaking in the very large and very elaborate castle. "I was definitely not wrong in deciding to carry on with my plan." His blackmailing plan of course. "For it proved to be a very intelligent move. Considering how much wealth must be inside those vast walls."

::vaughn:: "And you feel the necessity to create a nickname out of it? If it is too long to say, why not think of a shorter name." Would she try to shorten Vaughn if he revealed his name to her? Surely not. It was basically one syllable and therefore, would be completely unnecessary to make any shorter. As for the subject of children, he chuckled at her answer. "I doubt the daughter of a noble family will be able to pass the opportunity for very long." Daughters of nobles were expected to marry young so that they could start a family young. Of course, based on what he noticed about her rebellious attitudes, and from the way she spoke, this may just be another authority to challenge.
Now, he was paying full attention to her, because once again, she amused him. As if she had ever stopped. "Was that strenuous for you. I assumed a woman who has trained as vigorously as you would not find it strenuous to speak in a proper way. But apparently, that is an irregularity for you if it was that much work." Vaughn himself may not act like a noble knight, but he spoke like one. His accent and way of speech was what led people to assume that he had been brought up as a nobleman, and that he had not just merely killed someone and stolen his uniform.
