Camila carefully walked around the polar, her curiosity getting the best of her as she looked at the array of pictures and beautiful items in the room. Lucan's uncle did keep a very lovely home. She ran her hand over the lovely picture of a woman she did not recognize when she heard a someone entering the room. "Lady Camila I presume?" Said the man. "Yes." She turned entirely to face him.
"I am Lord Allard, Sir Lucan's uncle." Ah, so this was Lucan's uncle. He seemed very nice and... normal. Lucan had not been wrong about him. "It's a pleasure to meet you, my Lord." Cam smiled and gave him a small curtsy. "Unfortunatly my nephew has been slightly delayed, so may i escort you to the solar until her appears?" Camila gave him a smile. "Of course." She then prompted to follow him to the solar. Cam wished Lucan had been here to greet her but she did understand that he had things to do.

It was just a small touch, nothing much. Just his hand on her hip and a shock ran through her body. He was so delicate with her, the way he touched her, pulled her closer to him and how he kissed her. He made her feel so feminine. She felt safe with him. She was defiantly marrying the right man.
"Well once they meet you, they will defiantly know why I decided to make you the future Lady Aubert" This made her smile. Lady Camila Aubert. It had a very nice ring to it. Cam smiled up at her now fiance. She couldn't wait to be able to refer to him as that, even less calling him her husband. Oh the thought of him actually being her husband... her actually being his wife... it was exciting!
"He's been waiting to meet you ever since I first spoke to him about you" Lucan told her. "I think he picked up early that I wanted to marry you." Camila smiled and couldn't help but blush a little at this. "Well, your uncle should have told you to marry me earlier then." It had made her insanely happy.
"I don't really want you to open it, but I guess you can." She sighed a little. She walked up next to him at the door and laced her arm into his. "But you're staying for supper. Alright?" She hadn't seen him since before Morgana's take over and she wasn't going to let him go so quickly.

"you won't be saying that when you meet my family"
Camila laughed a little. "No matter how horrible they are, I don't have much of a choice, now do I?" She said holding up her ring clad hand. "You're stuck with me, whether you, or your family, like it or not." She joked lightly. It was so easy to be herself with Lucan, her brought back a side of her that she had thought to be lost forever now. This was definitely the the right choice.
"I look forward to meeting him, then." She mused. It was almost unimaginable to think that anyone could have a sensible family. Camila knew that her family was a disaster on its own level. She couldn't imagine how different Luc's family had to be for him to warn her so much.
"I'm positive, I can take them." She wasn't afraid of his family, she would deal with them one way or an other.

Carriages weren't Camila's favorite way of traveling; she much rather be riding her horse. However, there had been no getting around her father earlier that morn. He would not let her take her horse all the way out to the Ireby Estate, at least not without being escorted all the way there. It was complete rubbish to her. She knew very well how to defend herself, she never ceased to remind her father about that. He, after all, had been the one that had taught her everything she knew about sword fighting and archery. Aaron didn't contradict her skills but only pointed out that her talents in archery would not help her in close combat and as for her swordsmanship, although not as great as her archery skills, would protect her but bringing a sword with her when going to meet her fiance's family did not give a very good impression. Cam was sure that the last part was slipped in by her mother earlier. Thus, Camila had to take the carriage out to the Ireby Estate, to her great displeasure. But it showed that her parents cared, didn't it? Well, perhaps that her mother did. As for her father, he was mostly concerned about his daughter for the reason that she would bring their family a higher status after she wed. By now, Camila was used to it.
The trip wasn't too long from Faintree and Camila was more than relieved about it. When the cart came to a stop a servant came to open the door and an other offered his hand to aide her out. Cam held no hate for them, they had always been very helpful to her. She gave them a smile and expressed her simple gratitude to them as she stood outside. "Are you sure you-"
"-Yes, thank you, Fredrick. I'll be fine. You can go. Tell my father I gave you gentlemen the rest of the day off when you return." And before they could protest, Camila turned towards the doors of the rather impressive Estate. Obviously expecting her arrival, there were servants to show her inside and lead her to a polar.
(end was weird XD)

The merchandise? Was this boy serious? Well, Cam could see that this was going to be an interesting morning. She crossed her arms across her chest and slowly made her way towards Griff. Dear. He was quite the opposite of Lucan, although she did see the resemblances physically. Camila debated what to do. Slapping him wouldn't be very nice, no matter how rude he was, he was her future family. She could act entirely insulted, which she was. This boy had nerve, he knew very well that she has his brother's fiance. Camila decided to just beat him at his own game. Ohm it had been a long time since she had played games like these.
Cam stopped in front of her future brother-in-law and gave him a smirk. "Oh, how adorable." She gave him a pat on the cheek. "But if you value your life..." She held his chin. "Or your face. I suggest you keep your eyes and comments to yourself." She almost hissed before pushing his face to the side slightly and walked back to the way she entered the room. There, an other servant stood with a tray and two cups.
"Thank you, Magdalene." Cam said, taking one cup in each hand before turning back to Griff. "Now, Griff. Perhaps we should move to the study. I do look forward to getting to know my future brother-in-law." She handed him one of the cups. If looks could kill... She gave him a less than sweet grin before turning back for the exit, not looking back to see if he was following her or not.

Since Lucan's proposal, Lady Eloise, Camila's mother, hadn't stopped fussing over her. Now, Lady Eloise was usually a very soft-spoken woman that would putter around the estate quietly. She really just lived to be her husband's wife, it seemed. It was sort of pitiful, Cam found. Her mother didn't even have a hobby. And it wasn't like she had chores to do like cleaning, there were servants for that. But in a way, Eloise was almost like a servant. But since her daughter's engagement, she had been obsessing over her.
Cam loved her mother, no matter how sad her life was. But having her on her back all the time was starting to get on her nerves. Luckily, her mother had left the house today and Camila could be left alone.
"My Lady?" A servant walked into the library where Cam was sitting. "Yes, Terrance?" She looked up from her book at the man. "There is a Lord Griff Aubert here to see you. He says that he is you're fiance's brother." Cam cocked her head to the side curiously before closing her book. "Thank you, back to your duties, Terrance." She dismissed him, standing up and putting her book down on the table next to her chair. The servant nodded and left as Cam made her way out of the room.
It was peculiar, why was Lucan's brother here? They had never met... What could he possibly have to say to her? Maybe he had news? Cam put the thought out of her mind that he would be here to report on something horrible that might have happened to Lucan.
Camila reached the front polar and found this... Griff. "Can I help you, my Lord?" It was odd, but she had no idea how else to address him.

"If you carry on crying you'll cause a flood" Camila laughed lightly as she took the handkerchief from him and started to dab her eyes before he kissed her. It was so quick and gentle but it was intense. She would never get used to how he made her feel, in a good way.
Lucan stroked her cheek with his finger and Cam couldn't believe that no matter how many times he did this, no matter when, she always blushed. "Don't say that, everyone's been shaken by what has happened. You just need time to heal." "I know I will heal, I already have done a great deal of it physically." She stated. "But with you, right now, I'm doing far better than I was this morning." Luc was how she would heal, she knew it.
"I will always love you more Camila." She smiled up at him, giving his hand a squeeze before she stretched up to kiss him softly. She was definitely feeling bolder.
"I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you." She told him.

Cam felt like a blubbering idiot as small tears gathered at the edge of her lids and her breathing became uneven in a sort of hysterical joy and shock as he slipped the ring onto her finger. This was it. She was engaged! Something she had never truly thought would have happened to her in the past. Clearly, Lucan was very willing to put up with her for the rest of their lives and it amazed her how much she loved him at that very moment.
Her free hand went to her chest in a sort of silent gasp as she really looked at the hand he still held as he started to stand up again. She liked it like that; with a ring. A ring he had placed upon her finger. She was his, truly his and she was over joyed.
"Are you alright?" He asked.
Camila looked up at him and smiled lovingly at him before she gave him a nod. "I'm more than alright," she laughed lightly, "you've just made me the happiest woman in the World even when only moments ago I felt so weak." She lightly shook her head causing those tears of joy to fall off the edge. How could she have gotten so lucky to have seen him in the crowd that night?
"I love you."

Lucan wiped away the fresh tears from her cheeks. "I promise. You have my word." He said, the look in his eyes gave Camila complete reassurance. "Thank you." She almost whispered. It was relieving to her and she knew that without a doubt he was telling her the truth.
"Well you could always be the husband if you wanted" he chuckled, "but pink doesn't really bring out my eyes, so I think I should keep that role." Cam shook her head at Lucan's jokes with a smile. He really knew how to turn things around sometimes but this didn't change her prior shock. Although she did wonder where the comment about pink had come from...
There was a moment where they just looked at each other. Their eyes where locked without release and Cam could feel her heart start to race wildly as she watched him get down on one knee. This was it. It was happening. Camila had of course thought that this might happen... someday. However, she could never have prepared herself for this moment. As she looked down at him, her heart only raced faster.
"Camila..."
Her heart skipped a beat.
"Will you marry me?"
She wondered if Lucan could hear her heart beating because it felt as if it was flying out of her chest. Cam opened her mouth and stopped for a moment to smile as her cheeks turned red. "Yes." She whispered. "Yes, Lucan. I will" She repeated, a little louder, starting to feel giddy.
(like the pic? thought it was cute)

"You are anything but a mess - and even if you were then you'd still be a beautiful one" Camila's shallow cheeks grew bright and her eyes fluttered towards the ground bashfully. Lucan just got her. He knew how to make her smile, how to make her laugh and how to make her blush. She loved that he knew how to do those things. She hid her face in his chest for a moment. She knew that Lucan liked to see her blush, but Cam didn't know what to do with herself when she did. "Everyone is broken in someway by this, but you'll mend in time." Cam looked up at her courtier. "I hope you're right, Lucan." Worried if she would ever be herself again.
Luc went on to explain to her why he hadn't written since Morgana's disappearance. "I understand... but if, Lord forbid, anything like this ever happens again." Camila placed her hand on his chest delicately. "Promise me you will write, no matter what. I'd rather hear from you... a final time..." Tears started to roll down her cheeks again. "Rather than not at all. Alright?" She wasn't really going to give him a choice on this. And she wasn't even going to get started on how upset she was about the fact that he had been writing to her father.
"The subject of me making you my wife. I came here today to speak with your father about it... He's given me permission." Cam's breath caught in her throat, her heart started to race and her face flushed. "Y-y-your wife?" Her heart was almost jumping out of her chest.

“Don’t apologise, you have nothing to be sorry for. It’s been a rough ride for everyone, but it’s over now, Camelot is rebuilding itself and so are the people’s lives within it.”
Cam shook her head and looked at the floor. "I'm such a mess. Look at me. Crying. I'm not the same girl as before, Lucan. I'm far more than just broken. And I'm sorry for that." He had to get used to, and get to know, a whole new girl. He didn't ask for this, and he didn't deserve it. Cam felt horrible.
She was shocked. He had raised his voice at her. Yes, she understood very well why he had to, she would have do the same had she been in his place, but he had never raised his voice around, let alone at her before. Perhaps there was more to him than a quiet and adorably shy man inside this knight. There obviously had to be, he was a knight after all.
Camila frowned a little. She knew. She knew very well what being a knight meant and involved but it didn't change her feelings. "I know. And I want for us to all be rid of her but—" She managed to squeeze into the conversation before Lucan went on.
“And I’m saying this to you now because I know that one day; something else could happen that may take me away from you.” Her eyes swelled with tears again. She knew very well, as did anyone with a brain and the age to comprehend anything, that death was a price a knight had to be ready to pay for the safety of his kingdom and she had never really found it sad. But know that Lucan had become so important to her, it tore her to pieces.
“I want you to always remember that no matter what – I will always love you and I’ll never stop.”
That was enough to push her tears over the edge. But these were happier tears. Not entirely happy but happier, all the same. She gave him a grin, weak from the swirl of emotions that had been over coming her since she had walked into the room. Lucan brushed some of her troublesome strains of hair out of her face. The feel of his fingertips across her face set off sparks in her skin and butterflies in her stomach. Oh! How she loved him.
Then, he kissed her. On her lips. And her eyes closed delicately. It was very light yet so sweet and loving. It was the first time they had kissed and Camila truly felt her legs would give out on her had they kissed any longer. When he pulled away, her eyes fluttered open and her lips felt bare. Her heart was beating far too much for it to be healthy and her eyes shone right up at him. She could not believe it. Her head was spinning and her face felt warm. Perhaps she was blushing?
“You are everything to me Cam, everything that I could possibly imagine… I’ve spoken to your father about certain matters that have been brought up in some of the letters that I’ve exchanged with him…” Had he just said that he had been writing to her father? And he hadn't written to her once! She couldn't confront him about it now, because he went on. “Including one that was brought up a lot…”
"And what's that?" She said, hiding the bitterness she felt about his not writing.
(late sorry! I had almost all of it written then fell asleep all the other times I tried to finish it)

“Stop that. I’m here now, and I’m not leaving you ever again” Lucan's arm tighten around her. She felt safer the tighter he held her. He wasn't holding her tight enough, she found but Camila knew that he thought she was delicate, breakable. She understood. Because right now, she didn't feel so strong. She felt] fragile. "I'm sorry." She composed herself, just barely. Camila didn't want to upset Lucan. It was almost as if she feared to disappoint him. She wasn't the same. She had been broken since the last time they had seen one and other. Cam didn't think he would still want her now. What was left of her.
“What did she do to you? If we ever find her I swear that I will kill her for what she’s done” "No! Lucan, please!" Camila's worried, watery eyes looked into his. "She didn't do this. Not of her own hands. I brought this upon myself. I shouldn't have fought back but I had no intention of letting them take me without trying." Camila paused. "I don't want her anywhere near you. I can't bare the thought of what she might do to you." Morgana was too dangerous. What if she found Lucan? He would try to kill her, no doubt and his chances against her were terribly slim. And Cam just could not live without him.
Lucan tapped her nose playfully, and Cam felt herself grin. Genuinely grin for the first time in ages. “I know you're a fighter. You’re my beautiful, strong Camila” Now she smiled as well as lightly blushed. It amazed her how he managed to make her do that when she was so broken. He rested his forehead against hers and smiled a smile that made her want to melt.
“and I love you”
Her heart sped up. She was sure Lucan could feel it, they were so close to one and other. He loved her. Even though her was a horrible mess, even though she wasn't herself, nor the girl he had met long ago. And she felt... well. "I-I love you, too." She almost whispered, still shocked but excited about his declaration.

She never wanted to let him go and she prayed that this was not just another dream of Lucan coming back for her. Although she had been certain that he would come back for her, it had dawned upon her over the past few weeks that he might not. Her mind played horrible tricks on her; having her question if he was alive, if he had been horribly wounded or if he just didn't want her anymore. But Cam was stronger than that and she knew that their love was too.
Now that he was here, Camila was never going to let him go, if she could help it. When she had wrapped her arms around his neck and held herself to him tightly, she felt relief. He was safe. And he was there! In Faintree! In her home! In her arms! When he wrapped his arms around her just as tightly, Camila could feel her emotions swell. Cam never cried. Not usually. Since Morgana's take over that had changed.
She had spent night after sleepless night in her lonely cell crying, not to mention yelling unanswered demands that she be freed and screams of frustration and sorrow. She cried for fear of what was happening to her parents, what had happened to them? But Cam cried the most over Lucan. Over the fact that she might never see him again. She cried for their possibly lost future together. She thought of him all the time while she was alone in the dark room. And now, Camila felt tears stream down her face the more Lucan held her but she refused to let him go.
A small sob escaped her lips as she hurried her face into his shoulder. His beautiful scent filled her when she drew in her shaky breath. She had missed it almost as much as she had missed the man himself. Lucan kissed her head and told her that eventing was fine now. How could she argue? He was here! It was all that mattered now.
She sobbed again before He brought her face to meet his and touched his forehead to hers. Camila's watery eyes found his instantly. They hadn't changed, besides the fact that they looked full of sorrow and guilt. They were as brown as ever and made her feel weak. “I'm sorry.” Cam looked at him, more tears falling to her cheeks. “I am so sorry for making you wait” Camila shook her head. "I don't care. You're here now. And nothing could make me happier."
[/I] She managed a grin for him. With that, Lady Eloise decided to leave, closing the door behind her to give them their privacy. It wasn't something anyone would expect. Children, especially the daughter, were always watched especially when in the presence of a male, for a daughter. Chaperones were usually hired or appointed but Eloise felt for her daughter. Time to speak with Lucan was exactly What she needed. Lucan kissed her forehead and it wasn't until then that Cam realized that he had been kissing her. It was strange. Not that she didn't like it! He had kissed her before, on her hand or on her cheek. But right now, it didn't bother her. In fact, he almost managed to make her blush with the last kiss he placed on her forehead, were it not for the swirl of emotions at play inside of her. "I'm fine, I'm fine. I've healed." Camila started. "I didn't go without a fight." She grinned lightly. It sounded more like her, her old self.[/color][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Aaron stood and left Lucan in the study on his own. Contrarily to what he had believed, his daughter had not been eavesdropping outside the door but rather his wife, Eloise. She looked tired and horribly exhausted from the past events. Aaron himself felt the same but managed to look far better. Eloise looked up at her husband, a look of apology was almost visible in her gaze. "He's the boy?" She asked curiously, her voice was in a whisper. She pretty sure of the answer but still wondered if this was the man her daughter had fallen for.
Aaron nodded. "Indeed. Where's Camila?" He asked, running his hand down Eloise's arm in a comforting manner. Affection from Aaron was rarely seen around the house but he still cared. And his wife, in her state, did bring it out of him.
"She's with the Healer. I'll fetch her." Eloise whispered back. And with a nod from her husband, she turned to head upstairs to her daughter's room. She knocked lightly on the door before entering the room. Camila sat on her bed while a woman examined her carefully. Cam had not been too badly hurt when she had been taken from Faintree but she did not go without putting up a fight and had managed to get a few cuts and bruises in result. By now, the Healer was only checking up on how things had been healing and there were only just a few cuts that were still visible. She had done a lot of healing. Some of her injuries had gotten very dirty and had needed constant cleaning for weeks but now she was better.
Camila looked over her exposed shoulder as the door opened, her body tensed until she saw her mother walk in. Had anyone else walked in should would have imminently covered herself, no matter what the Healer was doing. "Mother?" Cam looked at Eloise. She looked better than the previous day but still a horrible mess.
"Thank you, Marietta. You can go." With that the Healer covered Camila's shoulder and left the room. Cam looked at her mother, confused. "Come, darling." Cam asked no questions and followed Eloise out of her room.
When they arrived to her father's study, Eloise made a gesture with her head for her to enter the room. Camila looked at her mother, confused, but opened the door. When she finally looked into the room, she felt her heart stop. "Lucan!" Her tired face lit up and she ran to him, throwing her arms around his neck. She couldn't believe it. He was here! She had not stopped thinking about him once since the beginning of Morgana's reign. She had heard nothing from him and only hoped that he was alright, that he would return for her some day. Obviously, that day was today.

Lucan seemed surprise that she had placed his hand on her cheek. She had told him earlier that he did have to agree to her terms of courtship before she would ever let him touch her cheek again. But now it was very obvious that he had every intention to court her and do so properly at that, thus she felt she could give him a sort of reward for his commitment, but also for herself. After a few seconds, his thumb started to stroke her cheek gently. As if she were too fragile for him to be touching but far too tempting to be left untouched. Camila couldn't help but lightly tilt her head to add a little more pressure from his hand to her cheek as butterflies fluttered wildly in her stomach with the warmth of his skin on hers.
“Come my lady, I said that we would walk and that we shall do.” Lucan said as he pulled off his jacket and wrapped it around her petite frame. "Oh, no. I don't want you to get a chill..." She started but Cam knew that there would be no use in it. He was being charming and obviously her cared more about her warmth than his own to give her his coat. Camila stood with him, clinging onto his coat and pulling it around her body more snugly. She hadn't noticed how cold it was outside until then.
“Well, I have to admit I thought I looked good in that – but you seem to have stolen my thunder.” Cam laughed lightly at this. "Then perhaps i will just have to keep it. It would be a shame to make it look any less than it is." She smirked, sounding a little more like herself. Of course, she would not keep it however she would most definitively enjoy it while she had it.
She could not stop blushing tonight! Lucan pushed a strand of hair behind her ear again and her face burned up again and the butterflies stirred up again. “Anyway…shall we walk? Otherwise before we know it, the night will be over.” "Yes, let's." And they did. As they walked, Camila found herself secretly inhaling the scent of his jacket while he wasn't looking without really realizing that she had.
It was odd how the night had brought them together and how much they had changed since they first met. Lucan was far more confident and Camila was the shy one, now.

“I wouldn’t want you to fall ill because of me”
"I, fall ill? Come now, Lucan. You should give a girl like me a little more credit." She sounded confidant but her voice was but a soft, gentle voice that would barely be considered a whisper. In all her days, Camila had never been sick and if she were to start today because of this shocking news...
Camila cringed inwardly when he mentioned other women wanting to jump at him. She was surely thankful none of them had. Lucan was very different from all the men she had met in her 19 years and she wasn't going to find any other one like him anytime soon, she was sure of it. Well, unless she went looking around in the villagers and servants would be start to be bashful at the first sight if her interest in them. No. Luc was perfect.
“I know im not exactly the best looking knight here, or the most chivalrous out of them – but I know that now you mean something special to me, and whatever does happen…you always will be.” And with that he gently placed a kiss on her hand, his eyes never releasing hers. She wanted to melt. Her cheeks got pink from the contact of his lips on her skin and she looked away at the ground timidly, hiding her face behind some of her hair for a moment. When she did finally look back up at him, their eyes met again and her lips froze lightly parted around the words she had forgotten she wanted to say. She wanted to tell him that he was far more handsome than any knight, noble or duke she had ever seen. That his eyes made her feel faint again but in a good sense. That he was special to her too.
Closing her mouth, Camila looked down, again, at their hands. They were still wrapped around each other carefully. Cam raised her hand, bringing Lucan's with hers. She looked back into his eyes before she placed his hand on her cheek and grinned lightly at him. She didn't know how else to express herself in this moment but she hoped that this would make everything clear to him. She just adored him. She was falling for him.

Lucan walked a poor, shocked Camila over to the bench. “Would you like me to return you to your parents? I wouldn’t want them worrying about you.”
What? Return her to her family? No! Why would he think she would want that? Camila shook her head, slowly at first but it got a little fast after a moment. "No. No! No, I don't want... They're probably already gone." They wouldn't be too far, though. They were staying in the guest chambers of the castle, like they always did when they came to Camelot. Uther was always so courteous and welcoming to the Faintrees. Camila even got her own chamber, a good ways off from her parents'.
Camila looked down at her hands, finding that Lucan was holding one of them. She watched his finger stroking her hand delicately. Maybe she hadn't exactly tricked him into courting her, maybe she had just made it happen for him, seeing how shy he was earlier. Cam wrapped her fingers around his hand, still feeling his finger stroking her hand as she looked up at him.
"You being a Duke-to-be hardly changes my opinion, Lucan." She caught his eyes and felt as if she might melt. Why hadn't she noticed how smoldering they were before? She paused. Yes, this courtship was definitely a good idea. "I'm happy you told me. Thank you."

"Just a fool that drags you out into the garden during the early hours of the evening." Camila smirked. It was true. She did like fools, it seemed. And now, she figured she could accurately think, she had her own fool. "The very same."
Sir Aaron of Faintree was a well known nobleman around Camelot. He attended all of the social parties and special events - like tonight - with his lovely wife, Lady Eloise. The pair never missed the opportunity to mingle with other nobles, knights and royals; they had to be in the know of everything. Camila was getting into this habit on her own. Her parents used to drag her to every event possible when she was younger partly to show her off to others, but they no longer had to drag her out to make her want to go. Camila often went to events without her parents mainly because she would jump at any opportunity to get out of Faintree for a while. Faintree was dull to her, there was nothing that excited her there. She often wished she could live in Camelot, it was much more interesting. And although she was sure that if she asked Arthur or Uther if she could reside there they would graciously offer her living she didn't. why she didn't, she wasn't sure.
“well…if nobleman do not seem to suit his tastes – would a Duke?” A DUKE? Camila looked at Lucan, her expression blank with the shock. She had no idea how to react to this news. Having strung herself into being courted by a handsome knight was one thing but a knight-to-be-DUKE? She was a little impressed with herself, her father would indeed be very pleased, but how could she respond to Lucan? She was sure anything would be better than how she was doing so now, standing in front of him blankly... Lord, he must have thought she looked ridiculous! "I-I'm... sure he will be far more than please." Cam managed to speak through the numbness of her shock.
Lucan went on to explain how he had been brought up to be a knight and future duke. What he was expected to do and at what cost to him this meant. Camila was very aware that the process of becoming a knight was far from an easy one. It took ages to accomplish but with a worthy outcome. To Lucan, having to give up his knighthood must have meant giving half his life away. Camila felt sorry for this.
Lady Camila of Faintree was not the same woman in this moment. She was still in aw and shock. Her thick mask of a mysterious temptress had been broken down, leaving her vulnerable. She felt that she might faint! But summing up what little dignity she had at the moment, she formed a feeble smirk. "I'm sure I can."
(meeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhh! ew)

"Could you really? I can just about handle it myself."
Camila was tough, she was sure she could take on any kind of 'baggage' he supposedly had. "I'm positive that I could. Perhaps if you told me?" Maybe it was a little early to want to help with take on his problems in life, they having only just started to court, but she was also very curious. She searched his eyes momentarily, she wondered what could be so big of a burden that he didn't believe she could handle.
"To be honest my lady, im still a little surprised to find you unattached at all" Camila smiled up at him, flattered in a way. "When I first saw you this evening I was sure that someone as beautiful as you are, would be married to some snooty, yet very lucky, nobleman." This made her giggle lightly and then grin. "Snooty? It's hardly my style! As I said earlier, I don't much care for idiots or now, snooty noblemen..." Just fools. She left that out for him to remember.
Cam gave a sigh. "But if you must know, it's because of my father. None of the noblemen of Faintree meet his... likings, if you will." She shrugged. "He wants the best for me. And noblemen never seem to make my father happy." Cam truly hoped that a knight would make her father happy, not that she cared now. She wanted Lucan to be her suitor and her father wasnt going to stop her this time. Or at least she liked to think so.

Camila was not going to leave without an answer from him. Without a commitment. She was now 19 and her youthfulness was quickly reaching its peak. Usually by now, she should have been courted and engaged to be wed, or even be wed. But the men of Faintree did not interest Camila, nor did they ever dare to ask her if they could court her because her father would make quick work of them; they wouldn't be staying in Faintree very much longer, her father having driven them out. He wanted better for her and a knight would most certainly make her father's cut. But what was important to her was love. She never truly ever felt what it was like and she Hermes to know how amazing it would be to be in love, to fall in love, to be loved in a romantic sense and to make it. Love. It was not an appropriate thought for a girl to have but it was sitting in the back of her mind. All girls wondered. There was no denying that, but it wasn't a big priority. Although, chidren where.
Children was one of a woman's main uses. They carried them, gave birth to them, raised them, fed them, took care of them, clothed them, bathed them and educated them while the man would work. Cam didn't seem like the type but she did was children eventually. She wouldn't be able to bare many if she kept waiting.
Camila smirked at Lucan while deep down she wanted to jump with joy. He would court her! He would court her! She felt amazing. "Good." Was all she could say without getting all giddy. Her cheeks flushed pink when he kissed her hand. Camila had been kissed on the hand more times than she could count but something about it being Lucan made her blush. Perhaps it was because he was now courting her...
"Baggage?" Cam smirked a little. "I am pretty sure that I can handle it." She didn't really care at this point, she was being courted!
"Too 'Over the Hill'? Lucan, I think I'm in no place to judge. Most women my age would be engaged to be wed by now." Well, maybe. But girls were married off as early as they could be to carry as many children as possible and to take care of an eventually more aging husband. Younger was better wife material. But 19 was losing its touch.
Blah!
