Words were chanted like a mantra and Morgause gazed through her scrying crystal as a figure showed in her mind's eye. A figure of a young blonde man not too much younger then herself. A man that was well know to any and all that knew of Camelot's existence. Stopping her chanting the woman peered through the crystal and thought over the details she saw. The young man was sporting the sign of a crowned prince and she decided it was time for her to act. The slightest hint of amusement crept into her expression. "Arthur Pendragon a great destiny awaits you..." She began eyes moving away from the vision of the man. "The battle for your soul is about to begin." She stated to herself as she walked out of the room with the crystal and put together her armour. She had a long trip to Camelot ahead of herself and could hardly contain her excitement of what was to unfold. The witch had to prepare for battle, for the journey and for her entrance to where she was born.
When the journey itself was complete, she slipped in, but was caught by two guards. When they tried to stop her from making her way into the citadel she cut them down where they stood, sword drawn in an instant. She'd been so very careful to keep her identity secret, her long blond locks hidden under polished metal, and her clothing while form fitting was baggy enough to hide her slim physique. It seemed as if not a single guard learnt their lesson as she made her way inside. Pushing the doors open after killing a total of five men, injuring three others, she smirked under the metal that hid her face and walked into what had obviously been the throne room. Unbuckling straps from her gauntlet she slid the metallic glove off and tossed it down at Arthur's feet. She stood there waiting for what would unfold.
She knew that this was only the start of it and that there would be much more. For now she would play stupid, and not use her magic, despite knowing all the lies of the kingdom. Morgause had set her chessboard and it would be like a fatalistic game, if she were to reach check-mate it would be the end of the kingdom that Arthur and his father held so dear.

Morgause deftly raised her own goblet and smirked to the man's words. "To the end of Camelot and the beginning of a new era!" She repeated as she locked eye-contact with him and then raised the chalice to her lips and took a sip.
Setting it down she chuckled in an amused fashion and tutted.
“I don’t reason Morgause, im more of a hands on man, urely you were able to witness the result of that earlier”.
"Tsk, tsk. You can not see reason? You're hands on man? Well, I suppose that means you won't be keeping your hands off yourself then." She teased, taking it on in a different meaning. "But, yes. I saw earlier. Those whom don't comply must be punished, after all. What you did was right." ]She mused to herself and then stared up at him with a heated glower.
“and who put you onto my path? It can’t have been the goddess?” The man had snorted as if he were amused by how impatient she was growing. “who told you that I would be the one to help you on your way?”
She couldn't bring up any witty comment in retort. Nor, would she bring him any joy with the statement of how it came to be that she had began her journey for his assistance. As her goblet was filled she raised it back to her lips and then took a long sip from it before she stood up once more from the throne and set it down on the table. She walked over to the window and stood beside the king.
“And foolish a king is never foolish…well, with the exception of one”
"A king is never foolish? That is only if he has a queen to turn his head to the correct answer to steer him away from the foolishness." She stated and then glanced out to it.
“Im sure we both agree on that”.
"That we most certainly do agree on, by the way." She chuckled.
"Small, but it's a nice little kingdom. It's much more attractive then the Isle of the Blessed is in appearance." She stated and then was amused by the man's plan. That was far from foolish. "Brilliant, Cenred." She said and then glanced to the guard that was called in and she watched the exchange, and then chuckled.
"Yes, we are acquaintances, unless you're planning on being closer then that?" She laughed with a shake of her head. She was truly growing comfortable around the king's company, no matter how annoying he could be.

The man's utter denial of it all was horrific, and it utterly disgusted the young blond woman. She glared through the bars at the male and then took a deep breath. She had to keep a calm mind and she drew her hands back, solely to adjust the silken robe she wore over her dress and then gave a soft chuckle as she shook her head.
"You should know, you can not bargain one's life. The old religion chooses not the one who casts the spell. I wish severely that it had been you to die twenty years ago, Uther Pendragon! It was not Nimueh's fault, and I am certain had she foreseen this that you would not have a son. The balance of life must remain even, for a death brings a life, a life brings a death." She paused and took another breath, her lips curling up into a smirk. "After all, you took my mother the lady Vivienne to bed! That is after all the reason why my sister is your daughter. How Morgana is only my half-sister, and the rightful heir to Camelot. You. Betrayed my father, Gorlois. You tried to execute me before I was even old enough to talk in sentences! You're the one who is dangerous! You are the one who will destroy the kingdom you hold so dear! You are the savage one and you deserve to burn!" She hissed as she pulled back from the prison cell. She began to pace around in front of him. "Shall I give you a preview of the hell you shall be going to?" She asked with an amused tone.

It was not something that she understood when Nimueh began to laugh. The laugh held a tone devoid of gaiety. It struck something deep within her. The very simple fact that the older woman was laughing at her words. It was true that to her Nimueh was a motherly figure. Someone that taught her the ways of the Old Religion. And yet she knew that it was not exactly the best way to describe the older woman.
"This has nothing to do with-" That was where she stopped listening to her mentor. She had expected some long rant to be given, her own gaze locking every now and then with the older woman's before she turned her head away and ignored it again. "-Cannot forsake the rules of magic-" and the woman kept rambling on and on. "-Remember the balance of the world!" And it was her turn to speak then. She didn't know how to respond though.
It was almost common knowledge how it would work if her purpose was to be completed, the outcome would not be favourable to many, but still would be better then allowing the idiot of a king to continue lashing out at the people of the old religion, just to bring forth a reign of terror and get what he thinks lost. It was not something she could allow to continue for much longer. Twenty years of horror was enough and it was time for it to end. She could wait no more to bring a suffering to Uther Pendragon and his kin. The suffering that had been brought by him was more then her driving force, it was the very reason for her goal. She wouldn't stop until that stubborn old man was gone.
There were things that she could not do. As long as her mentor lived, she knew that the cup of life, would be, and remain a finger tip's distance away from her grasp. Vengeance was sweet, but to be set aside made it all that much more bitter. She needed some form of control, and she had to play the part of a puppeteer for as long as she could. "Sometimes it is as important to know which way NOT to go as to know which way to go. Bringing down Uther is more difficult than we all first thought, as he knows how to fuel the people's fear of the unfathomable. Fear can become hate that kills, they say. It is more than true. But by chosing such paths, abusing magic and failing with it, we only play into his hands." Nimueh had said. That was true enough but she wouldn't fail. Still, she had to play with Nimueh as a child would play. She had to be cruel, cunning, and manipulative. "Then Nimueh, teach me how to go about this. I don't know any other way to bring him down. Guide me through this, I beg of thee." Morgause said, trying to sound desperate. She wanted solely for Nimueh to help her in some shape or form at this point. "I understand that I was wrong, but teach me the right way to do this."

Eyes trained to the man that had walked to the table and grabbed goblets of wine, she noticed the way he was looking at her. Morgause accepted the wine gratefully and rolled her eyes at the comment he made. "Don’t tell me that drink is a sin, or I may have to have words with this goddess myself" Those words made her feel like it was all some game to him. Though there was something wrong with drinking, she shook her head and put the goblet to her lips, taking a sip of the wine before setting it down and ignoring it. Her eyes were narrowed as Cenred told her that her plan would have turned to dust if she had killed him. Then she'd sat back down and just stared at him.
The words that the king spoke rang through her head and through the nearly-empty room. "So you need to pray in order for your magic to work? Obviously that must be a little annoying – was it in the job description?" followed by "Are you trying to state a point Morgause?" The words irked her. but she'd play nice. "Not for all magic, no. But for the more powerful spells and the ones to bring pain and suffering..." She mused with a smirk, and then ignored the second question as it if she was trying to make a point. That would only give him more satisfaction.
The man certainly was a cheeky little thing, “Visa Versa – you wanted me so you chose to come here…its only fair that in return I should have you, or at least…most of the credit and I think it does matter to you after all…you asked why when you could have simply ignored the question.” The facts of the matter were that she was not going to give in, for she was the deceiver of fools, and no fool would deceive her.
"I chose the man most likely to help me succeed in my plans. I will not submit like some handmaiden, and you will get only the credit you deserve. And it does not matter to me, don't be foolish Cenred." She snapped back in retaliation. "As I said, I believed you would have been willing to help." Morgause added, and then paused to listen.
"Oh I am willing to help, I just think that your ideas and ‘gifts’ from your goddess are somewhat…outdated…” The nerve of the man was enough to anger her further and she wanted to prove to him that he was far from correct, to the point it could endanger his own well being.
“and who exactly would be willing to help you? I know Uther has more enemies than friends but none of them don’t exactly see eye to eye with you either,” Watching the king pace in front of where she sat she listened closely. It was true that Uther had more enemies then friends, but none of them would be likely to ally with herself. “No…the only way you will be able to crush Uther is by taking the one thing from him that means the most, he’ll become so weak that even a simple servant could take his crown." Now that was getting somewhere. Perhaps he wasn't as idiotic as she had been led to believe. “We need to take Arthur from him – and with your magic, I think I may have some idea as to how we can do it.” She picked her head up from where she'd been resting and then smirked in interest. When the king had extended his hand towards her, she placed her hand within his and shook his hand.“Congratulations Morgause, you’ve got yourself a deal.” He had confirmed and this made her chuckle.
"I am glad you are able to see reason, Cenred." She chimed and the smirk fell into a small smile.

She was all too comfortable on the throne, it made her feel all powerful and all knowing to be sitting upon a throne, even if she was far less then a queen. The idea of being able to come into such a position of power intrigued her never the less. It was something she greatly desired, though she'd never say such a thing out loud.
Watching as the man circled around her she kept her stony expression, although she was starting to feel irritated. To her men were simple, and yet because they were so simple, they became pig-headed and annoying. To hear of a man speak down to a woman was not something she had grown up with, as Women at the isle were the leaders and the men the warriors.
"Superior?" "That is what I said. I said superior." She retorted, almost as if chiding towards a child who had been caught stealing kindling from the fire place. “ha! You think that a woman of your kind is more superior than a king in both blood and name? I think not Morgause, but thank you for the comedic entertainment that you’re giving me so far…” These words of insult were enough to make her snap. Standing up from the throne she threw an icy glare at the king and cleared her throat. "A woman of my kind, you say? I believe that I am superior to you. I can use the elements to my advantage, I have been blessed by the goddess of the old religion, and I have power you couldn't even begin to think of." She hissed out, and stood from where she had been seated.
"A man, no matter his blood status will ever talk to me with such a tone. I could kill you, right now if I wanted, Cenred." The blond woman threatened and then walked closer to the dark haired male and placed a hand under his chin. "You have no idea how simple it would be. All I would have to do would be a simple ritual and pray to the goddess for the power to do it." She purred before stepping away and back to the throne and sat herself down gracefully.
“I see…so you are pretty much like a servant then?” Cenred had dared to say, and hadn't even let her answer, although to be compared to a servant made her all the angrier. “and I suppose the goddess pretty much gave you immortality too? No matter how powerful or superior you think you may be Morgause, people die – even the strongest are made of clay” These words alone while angering her also gave her the reason to believe that Cenred had the heart of a good king deep down in him, not matter how horrible of a man he could be. Remaining quiet to hear the rest of the man's words she bit back a chuckle at his comment about carrots, and then pursed her lips. He wanted her. That stirred something in her mind and she willed away the thoughts that were running through her mind. There had to have been another meaning behind it.
"Why ever would you think of wanting me in a deal? Not that it matters." Head turned to the side, she didn't even want to look at his back. The questions had in turn been redirected towards herself, and she only had one answer.
"It is simple, I wanted to put an end to Camelot, and I believed you would have been willing to help as you are a major enemy of the Pendragons." She stated with a roll of her eyes as she crossed her arms and then her body language changed as she leant over to prop her head up on top of her hand, elbow on the an arm of the throne, other arm resting against her lap, clearly bored with the turn of conversation.
"I could always find someone else, if you're not willing."

Morgause kept her head held high, giving in to the temptation to sit on the throne and crossed her legs at the ankles. She stared at the tanned male and folded her hands on top of her lap. That smirk never leaving her lips. It was all too rich for her.
“treacherous does not begin to sum up Uther Pendragon, I can think of plenty more words to describe him” was what he had said. Those words made her want to laugh as even Cenred had been called a cruel, and treacherous king. before, and he was sitting there thinking of words to describe Uther? That nearly made her laugh as she thought of it. Both of the adults in the room had a reputation that the other knew quite well.
The glare that was delivered towards her did not phase her, as she was stony as the most seasoned of the priestesses of the old religion. The words following surprised her but did nothing more. The fool thought he could speak back to her threateningly. That did not please her in the least. "I know full well, who you are and I am your equal if not superior here." She snapped harshly, though she shook her head. She knew the man believed Magic to not be credible, but to call it voodoo was not something she agreed on.
"Voodoo is not magic. Magic is a gift bestowed upon the goddess." The blond woman stated keeping her tone calm and even. The smirk left her as she stared at the male, instantly something told her that he was lying. It was part of being a priestess of the old religion. A deceiver could not be deceived.
"And who exactly is it that says that you don't care? You should not lie to a priestess. I have the sight to see right through you." She hissed. The fact of the matter was that she needed to get him excited some how or another. Then the idea crossed her. The best way of getting him to engage in the deal was to allow him to make terms as well.
"Tell me. What would you want to gain other then Camelot from a deal with me." She ordered, tone sounding almost bored.

It was expected the response that she'd received. She knew that the man claimed to be busy and the very way he spoke made it clear that he was a strong independent man. One that at the same time was a great king, ruling with an iron fist.
"Oh, but of course, I know the score." Morgause stated with a chuckle. She knew that the man looking down at her was one whom wanted to bring the end to the wretched Pendragons. The fact that he caught onto it so quickly proved to her that the man was not too much of an imbecile.
"Oh, you're certainly correct on that assumption Cenred." She stated with a small chuckle. She had half a mind to take a seat on the throne, though kept from doing such a thing, as she did not want to bring insult just yet. "Of course I do. I have many ways, but just to take down the vial Uther would not do what I need. To take Camelot, I'd need to make the citizens weak, or at least have an army at my side. This is the reason why. I could take Arthur and Uther's lives and I'd be satisfied. But, why would I do that and leave Camelot without ruler? Would you not like to take it over with him gone?" She responded with a regal air to her tone.
She knew well that with her magic she could do almost anything she wanted. But, now her objective was to gain Cenred as an ally and to take advantage of that. "I am of noble birth, my father is Gorlois, and my mother the lady Viviane. Uther does not know that I am even alive, as he ordered my death twenty years ago. My hate of that man is not without reason, he is treacherous." The blonde woman stated as she tried to press him on to do as she bid.
Upon seeing the man walk away from her, she glared towards the door. A few words and the door slammed shut as her eyes turned gold.
"No man shall walk away with out finishing a conversation. Cenred, I would not allow your men to die. I know how to keep them from dying." She said, and smirked. The cup of life. If she could only find it then the immortal would be able to be ruled over, and she'd be able to seize Camelot. "Certainly you are walking away from this in fear of your servants losing their lives to take Camelot. Am I incorrect?"

Watching the male plop unceremoniously down onto the throne made her roll her eyes. She had been spoken of, apparently and the words alone were confirmation of that. The man had correctly stated that she was a priestess of the old religion, and taken a goblet of wine. His eyes were like a vulture's, staying solely on her. So, he wanted to know what it would be that she'd had a deal for him of.
The following motion had left her smirking as the young blonde woman followed him over to the window and she stood beside him, eyes training to the courtyard for a moment before settling on the king again. This was too good of an opportunity to pass up. With a chuckle she moved over to his other side and leant in close to the brown haired man.
She had to admit to herself that he was attractive, but that was not why she was there. She was there to make a deal with him. She had to stand on the tips of her toes to whisper in the man's ear.
"It's simple. And I don't believe it will be a waste of time, my lord." She chimed with amusement. She in a way felt that it would become a game, and she wanted to keep him guessing. Her instinct told her that it wouldn't have been an intelligent move for her to not tell him what he wanted however, her mind was telling her to hold it against him and keep him wanting more. With a smirk she chuckled softly. "For, you want to bring an end to the Pendragons, is that not correct?" She asked before pulling back and walking over to the man's throne.
She glanced at it then placed a hand on the back of the furniture. "And do you have any way to bring it about? That is where we will make our deal. I will help you, but I'd need your help to dethrone Uther Pendragon and his son." She said as her eyes settled on the tanned man again. She knew that her offer would in the long run strike a fancy to him for a reason similar to her own. Cenred had personal strife against Uther. Morgause had personal strife against Uther, as well as a hatred brought on by the religious prosecution and the innocent lives that had been taken in the Great Purge, and every year since that day twenty summers ago.
"So what do you say?" She purred out, as she kept her gaze intently on the man by the window. She knew better then to let her gaze off him, in case he turned out to be against her, though she doubted it.

Hearing the sounds of a sword from within, followed by a startled gasp and a thud she grew curious as to what had happened within the walls of the throne room. Surely it was some low class barbarian who tried to pass it's problems off as being caused by the king. A fatal mistake from the stories she'd heard about the king. It was just the kind of man that she wanted to be able to use for her advantage. There could even be some fun advantages to it, if she were lucky enough.
Hearing the voice inside give orders to clean it, and yadda yadda, she felt the corners of her mouth twitch up in a smirk. It was exciting to see someone using their power.
With the guards having been told not to keep the lady waiting, one seized her by the arm forcefully and shoved Morgause forward.
Seething the woman turned to the man who dared touch her and yanked her arm free. "You will never touch another again, for you do not dare to touch a priestess of the old religion in such a fashion and expect to get away with it." Morgause hissed out.
A few words of old English, and a pained scream later, the guard was outside in the hallway, in a crumpled ball against the wall. The second guard had ran out with his tail between his legs and this only made Morgause smirk.
In long, elegant strides Morgause positioned herself to stand in front of the king. She curtsied and then looked up at him, still smug and overly content with how the situation was playing out.
"My lord, King Cenred. I am Morgause LeFay and I am here to strike a deal with you." She said, tone even and yet there was an icy chill to her voice. Her gaze settled on the man before her, and she eyed him for a moment taking in details of the way he stood, to the shape of his body and finally settled with eye-contact after a good fifteen seconds.

The trip was long and perilous it seemed. There had been much riding and perhaps even more walking by foot then Morgause had expected to get to King Cenred's palace. The exterior was nothing too special compared to other palaces, but it was still a palace. In it's own right it was beautiful, and when she approached the gate, ordering an audience with the King, the guards had a mind to ask her reasoning. To that Morgause just smirked and muttered something about how they should be stopping people from stealing in the market place, and that somehow or another had managed to get their attention away from her.
Slipping inside the castle walls quickly, while the men outside were distracted with a miniature riot in the market place, she began to wander the castle. Eventually she found herself utterly baffled. Either she was searching the wrong wing or the man was hiding some place. Opening a door the young woman found what she was looking for. The King's chambers. She knew by the fact that there were guards outside the door.
"Excuse me, I Morgause LeFay have come for the king. You will let me enter." She ordered the guards whom rolled their eyes and opened their sire's door. "My lord, there is a woman here to see you, shall we allow her in?" One of the men had called.

Morgause had placed a hand at the barred door to Uther's cell and glared down at the king. "I am responsible for this? Oh, how wrong you are." She hissed, and stared at the man. Men disgusted her some times, and it was men like Uther that were the reason for such a feeling that was arising within. "Was it not you who are responsible? You who lie and used those around you for your own gain?" Morgause snapped.
She wrapped her long fingers around the bars and smirked. "I would do nothing to endanger Morgana, she is my kin!" The blonde haired woman snapped and would have been livid had she not been trained to deal with unpleasant situations.
"And you would destroy your kingdom before magic does! You are filth." She hissed out. She wanted to harm the king, and the king alone, for he had been the reason she had not grown up where she should have. She had been one of many children that had supposed to have been killed in the great purge, not that she remembered it. "You have killed children, women and men alike. For that you don't deserve to rule."

The very essence of her plan was under way. Her dear sister was crowned queen, she had an immortal army under her power and due to Morgana's role in it, she had some of the men from Camelot. She had to admit that this despite having been planned from long ago, was different then what she had expected. When she'd first attempted to get the cup, over a year ago she'd been thwarted. She'd made a fool of herself by even thinking of using life magic to create death. And that's exactly what she'd done once she'd managed to get the Cup of Life in her grasp.
The part of the plan that hadn't been as she'd wanted was the simple fact that Uther Pendragon was still alive, and relatively well. She'd imagined just how much of a shock it must have been to be in such a useless position after having been the one man with the most power in the kingdom. Knowing that her sister's father would be kept alive solely under Morgana's orders the priestess had ventured down the steps and into the dungeons. Her steps were relatively light despite her stature as she walked down the stones.
Stopping in front of the cell that the king had been none-to-lightly deposited into, the woman smirked as she stepped right up to the bars. "Surprise, surprise your highness. Finally right where you belong. This is where the liars, thieves, and murderers wind up." Morgause couldn't help but taunt.

The whole scene was going far, far different from the one that had played through her mind's eye earlier in the day. The very fact that it had risen to this degree of hostility between mistress and student had proven to her that it would be a difficult task just to get what needed to be completed, done. She knew that she'd most likely be banished for what she was attempting. This was going against the high priestess' very commands and by that was going against the mother goddess. Still, Morgause wanted more then anything to knock Uther off his throne. She'd do it one way or another, even if she had to tear down Camelot brick by brick.
With the risks she was taking, the end result would by far be something farther from what she wanted. Her words had clearly been mistaken for having another meaning. She'd listened carefully to each and every word that the woman in the more powerful position held. It seemed that she had struck a nerve amongst the older woman's response. Despite the fact that Nimueh hadn't even raised her voice, the tone of the words responded held enough to strike caution into her very soul.
"That may have been my intended meaning. Not about bringing down Uther. I know just as well as you that you'd do it within a flash of lightning. I just don't think you'd have the heart to go through with just any method of disposal. You're like a mother, you wouldn't have the will to do something that... would go against your heart. I don't think you'd prefer to kill." The young maiden stated. It wasn't meant to be disrespectful in that aspect, just what she'd truthfully believed. To her, it was simply another means of getting a job done, not to bring an end of the world, just to an undeserving ruler.
Stubborn as she may have been, it was what she believed needed to happen. For the end of Uther's reign would bring many changes. The revival of magic and the old religion was amongst the possibilities that would be the final outcome of the actions taken until the next king or queen was crowned. Though she knew that it would be a king. The end of the topic had come in the form of the brunette staring at her with a disapproving look and crossed arms. The body language was what kept her from truly speaking against the older, much more seasoned priestess.
Lips pressed in a firm line she watched as Nimueh stepped ever closer. With the change of her mentor's stance she felt more likely to relax. What was said in response pulled her out of the reassured feeling of being in the right, and put her on high alert. She knew in the long run if it came down to it, she'd not have enough power in her to take on the more experienced sorceress. "Yes, a test." Morgause stated, voice filled with false remorse. The smile on Nimueh's face had faded before her confirmation had been completed. She had been seen right through it seemed. And the tone the elder used was enough to physically make her flinch. It was true what Nimueh had said. The high priestess had known her from a very young age, having been lead out of Camelot at an age she couldn't even remember twenty summers previous.
"Have I not any respect for you? Of course I have respect for you, my lady." Morgause felt genuinely offended and her brown eyes narrowed. "Do you know of any other way to bring upon the end of Uther's reign? To bring the old religion back into the light of day? I want to bring back open worship of the Goddess, which can not happen while that man hunts down our kin!" She argued, a hand over her heart for dramatic flair.

They had the same goal, and she herself realised this very fact. This was simply an obstacle in her way. She had only her determination to keep her from backing down against the older woman. As far as she knew the only views differentiating them in this case was as to how it would go about. She had been hoping not to deal with the high priestess. Alas, she had no such luck and she knew that this would not end well if she didn't back down soon. Yet, at the same time she was not the type of person to back down from anything. She could fight any man, she could do any task so long as the Goddess willed it and she worked hard enough.
She smirked upon the next set of words that Nimueh had responded with. She chuckled and straightened her stance to stand tall although she was a mere two and a half centimetres shorter. Morgause mimicked the other woman by taking a step closer. "Would you have? I wouldn't think you'd have the heart to do it, even if you wanted to." She calmly responded with a chilling undertone. It annoyed her enough to even be bothered to argue with the older woman, and yet she had to do it. All things had a consequence be it good or bad. The outcome was like a flip of a coin, it could go one way, or it could take a turn and go the other way.
"And I do believe that it was a threat. There are two sides to this. Those for and those against bringing down that man." She stated, which was true. "Don't disappoint me on that. I know what I must do." She stated, although she was reminded of the story of what had happened. "if it is double pleasure to deceive the deceiver 1... Imagine what it will feel like to overthrow that which has overthrown the lives of many and ended them in cold blood." She paused then decided to go back to her statement of deceiving the deceiver. That was exactly what she'd have to do in order for her plan to work. She changed her demeanour.
Her stance grew to be lax and she bowed her head, not willing to meet the older woman's eyes as she'd be seen right through if she did. Eyes were the window to the soul and they could tell anything about a person. "You are right, it was wrong of me to even think that it would work against Uther Pendragon. There would be innocent lives lost if I used the cup of life, it was all a test of your faith in me, Nimueh." The lies came easily off her tongue.

Once a student, once naive and unsure, she was certain this was what the Mother Goddess wanted. Magic had been branded as an evil art, as well as the Old Religion. It was unknown to her, that it was people like herself that caused the ancient belief to grow to be hated. She however felt it in her blood that it was her duty to change that. It was her destiny to bring it back to Albion, or at least to take revenge for what Uther the king of Camelot had done. This was her very reason for being at the Stone Henge, the essence of her reasoning. And to have it kept from her was something she was not pleased about.
She knew the risks and the dangers associated with what she was doing. She'd been raised by the priestesses of the Old Religion, and had become one herself. She served only the Goddess. Even then, her own sacrifices were selfish. Her head raised as she lowered her hand and her lips tugged into a smug smirk. She knew exactly who it was that had stopped her from taking the Cup of Life. There was only one woman she could think of that would even have reason to be in the castle ruins.
Her mentor, and her guidance from when she was a child stood in the way of her path to paying Uther back for taking away her mother and father, as well as her sister. She did not personally remember the events that had transpired twenty summers ago, only that of what she had been told. As the blond woman heard the words that were sharp as knives she couldn't help but keep her smirk. She turned her attention from the sacrificial stone alter in the centre of the henge and brown eyes settled on the older woman.
"Ah, my dear teacher. High Priestess Nimueh. Did I believe that you would allow me to? No. I'm not a foolish child anymore. I'm a grown woman and I serve the goddess. It's time now to repay the dear king for what he has done to our people. There are two options. You allow me to do as I please... Or you don't and serve the consequences." Morgause stated. She was confident that she'd have the skill in magic to do anything she needed. It was time for the Old Religion to come back, and she'd do anything in her power to make those that defy her suffer as many curses as she knew.

The Isle of the Blessed, or as the once a young girl, now a fully grown young woman referred to it as what was a beautiful place. She heard others call it Avalon although that name was wrong. The Isle of the blessed was the centre of the old religion. The isle itself was on a lake that was shrouded with mist. What was left of the Isle of the Blessed was now ruins.
In the centre of it all, was a circle of stones, with a block in the middle of it, in perfect condition. With swift steps Morgause carried herself to the stones, sheer red material fanning out like a trail behind her. She knew exactly what she would do, she knew little about her destiny, but she'd strayed from the path that she had been taught so long ago.
Magic was to be used selflessly, and it was her own selfishness that brought her back to the place that she had learnt so much from. Blond curls had glass beads amongst them and she placed a hand gingerly on the centre stone. Her ambitions were clear. She would simply take the Cup of Life, although she'd have to be quick before another of the priestesses caught her.
The Cup of Life was a sacred artefact, it was a powerful item, able to stop death, able to create the immortal and it would bring to her the most powerful weapon in the so called, war against magic. With the cup of life she'd be able to end it all, and simply finish off that stubborn old man in Camelot.
"I can practically hear her voice already." Morgause mused as she lifted her hand from the stone and whispered a few words, as she kept her hand suspended in mid-air. "Cennan calic æ." The old English spilling forth from her lips as if there was nothing to it.
"I'll clear the way, and let the giant come crashing down." The young woman smirked as she spoke and then glared as she realised the spell had not worked, there was no cup of life in her hand. The only thing that she'd think of that would counter her summoning spell, would be the magic of an even more powerful, more experienced sorceress. Lowering her hand, the blond woman pursed her lips before speaking once more.
"Let us cleanse this farce with fire, strike the fool who leads the liar. Let it all come crumbling down! Like the firebird from the ashes we will rise to lead the masses! No longer will I stand by and watch that man kill, it is time that he paid for what he has done." Morgause said loudly and clearly, knowing by now that she was simply not alone.

.:Birthplace:. Camelot .:Family:. Morgause's parents are Gorlois and Viviane. Through Viviane her half-sister is Morgana. .:Occupation:. Sorceress of the Old Religion. .:Current Location of Residence:. The forests of Camelot. .:History:.
As a young child, she was supposed to have been killed in the great purge, Uther himself having given the order despite sparing her little sister. Some how, she had been smuggled out of Camelot and was raised by the priestesses of the old religion. She studied magic for many years, aiming to become a powerful sorceress.
Many years later, a fully grown woman, and a skilled swordswoman, Morgause dressed as a knight and returned to Camelot. Upon her arrival she killed five guards. When she first introduced herself to the court, she challenged Arthur. The next day they battled and she spared his life, only wanting to make a deal with him. Around the same time, she introduced herself to Morgana, and gave her a magical bracelet that would ease her sister's nightmares. She stated to Arthur that she knew of his mother, and that she was a wonderful woman before she left.
At the temple she was staying at, she met up with Arthur and his servant. After a test of the young Prince's character she summoned Ygraine's spirit and the spirit told Arthur of his birth which in turn, put Arthur against Uther. Her plans came to a halt when Merlin had convinced Arthur that she had tricked the young prince.
Morgause in a later attempt on Uther's life awoke the Knights of Medhir. She also approached Morgana once more, and won her alliance. She placed a spell upon her sister, and then another spell on the residents of Camelot, save for any whom were out when it was cast and her sister. Upon hearing of how her sister was in pain, and could very well die, Morgause called off her attempts at Uther's life and destroyed the knights so that Merlin would tell her what he used on Morgana. Upon the knights of Camelot entering Morgause used magic to take her sister and herself away from camelot and saved her sister. After that, they began plotting their vengeance on Camelot.
Over a year later, she allowed her sister to return to Camelot in hopes of getting their revenge. She and Morgana use a mandrake root and Uther's tears. The spell cast upon the mandrake root and tears eventually cause Uther to hallucinate and thus gave the citizens of the kingdom that their king may have been loosing his mind. She also had been working with Cenred to move against Camelot. She was enraged when a later siege of Camelot failed.
She later visited Morgana in Camelot and discovered that she was Uther's illegitimate daughter. She was elated to find out that Morgana could in all theory inherit the throne.
She helped Morgana with her plan to kill Arthur by getting Cenred to kidnap Gwen's brother Elyan and giving her a magical ring to guide Cenred's warriors to Arthur.
Morgause later met up with Morgana in a crowded market disguised as a poor old woman. She gave Morgana the Phoenix Eye to give to Arthur for his quest to claim The Fisher King's trident so it would kill him.
Morgause discovered when Arthur and Merlin set out to find the Cup of Life, by Morgana whom reported it to her. She got Cenred to fetch the cup for her, and eventually made an army of the living dead out of Cenred's men. She then killed King Cenred. The immortal soldiers stormed Camelot, and Morgana was crowned as queen of Camelot.
Morgause later attacked Merlin when he attempted to retrieve the Cup of Life. Gaius arrived in time to prevent her from killing the young warlock and attacked her with his own magic catching her off guard. Merlin defeated Morgause by smashing her against a pillar.
