::vaughn:: Vaughn laughed. No longer was it was a deep chuckle emitted from the back of his throat. It was an amused laugh. An expression of how entertaining and unpredictably wonderful she was. The confidence and certainty in which she spoke. The strength of her tone. Was she certain she would not kill? Vaughn wondered if he could sway her mind. If he could present circumstances that would alter her perception. Her sureness. It was a matter of corrupting her. How far would she go to save herself. This was the question to be posed. This was the tag line of this game. Vaughn did not reach for the weapon. He continued to lock his gaze on her. The laughter subsiding but the amusement perpetually present. "Even if a man forced himself on you, you would not kill?" He was of course talking about rape. The implications, yet again, behind his words being that he could play the role of such a man. An attacker. A predator.
"You can kill," he told her. His words did not come from his knowledge of her. His familiarity of her was very limited as he met her only a few moments ago. His words came from an unwavering confidence that people had the ability to kill, when a situation that forced it out of them. He needed to prove this, to see how she handled it really. "You just have not gained the opportunity to." Meaning, she had not met a person or persons menacing enough to force herself to kill them. Or, she had been under the constant protection of others. The latter did not seem likely. For here she was; alone and vulnerable. "This notion of what goes around comes around," He just shook his head as if to say tsk tsk, for he did not believe in such things. His belief system was little to non existent. Leaving the weapon on the ground, he took a few menacing steps towards her. "Come. Prove me right," he urged her. He was not begging for death, but he wanted to see if she really had such limitations. "Pick up the sword. It is your only defense now." He advanced towards her, a sadistic smile on his lips.

::vaughn:: Vaughn had not been expecting her sudden reaction. He was pleasantly surprised. Pleasantly, because she was keeping things interesting. She was not willing to just submit. She was willing to fight. And with that, Vaughn could have some fun. When the blade was loosened from his grasp by her, he decided to fully let it fall to the ground. Her actions seemed drawn out, but eventually, she stood on her two feet. Arms out, Prepared to fight back. He chuckled, sinisterly amused by her display of defensive actions. "Feisty," he commented. "I like that." Yes. That was meant to come out as perverted as one would take it. With a devilish gleam in his eyes, he watched her carefully. She was right. He had indeed underestimated her. For as soon as he had seen her modest demeanor, he thought of her as a little vulnerable girl. But she proved him wrong. It was something that both frustrated him and pleasured him.
Along the lines of frustration, Vaughn did not quite enjoy being insulted. Overestimated. He should never be overestimated. But such agitation was better expressed in other ways. Expressing arrogance was a weakness for it made a person predictable. "Well, what are you waiting for," he said in a strangely expectant tone. A smirk still played on his lips and he locked his gaze on her. He was referring to the sword that was now on the ground between them. The one item that separated them. "Are you not going to pick it up." He did not draw attention to it with his eyes. For he was still too busy noticing every small feature of beauty on her face. And on her body. Yet for his, it appeared his fixation was on her eyes. "Are you not going to kill me with it." Vaughn did not fear death. But the main purpose of his taunting encouragement was to test her limits. To see just how far she would go in her defensive actions. Now she had a weapon within her grasp. Would she take it?

::vaughn:: Her hesitancy to answer his question as well as her stuttering, told him just how uncomfortable this posed question was to her. Her innocence made it seem that no question had ever been asked. That did not surprise him. Though, surely he was not the first to make such suggestive comments to her. From the way she dressed, the way she looked. There had to have been advances made on her. Perhaps, he could very well be the first who had taken it to this extent. He awaited her answer that eventually came out as, No. No? Well well. Wasn't she defiant. Of course he would expect nothing less. It just sustained that amused smirk of a smile on his face. It was her next question that was interesting. It could be taken in so many ways. He paused before answering, only to determine in which direction he wished his response to take.
As she was still kneeling, he slightly hunched over so that his face was a bit more leveled with her. Though, he still kept some height, just to assert his dominance. To appear more intimidating. As if the blade at her neck was not bad enough. "I would take your virtue, with or without your consent." Not really without her consent. But he did so enjoy toying with her. He slightly titled the blade so that the flat part of his dagger was positioned under her chin, which he titled upwards. This way, he could ensure eye contact. Or at least raise her head a bit so that she was somewhat forced to look at him. "The question becomes, would you give as much as I can take." He continued to play with her, enjoying the unpredictability in her questions. Just as she was cautious of his own unpredictability. It was a rather entertaining dynamic. Maybe not for her. But most certainly for him.
When she brought back the question of his name, he emitted a deep chuckle. Clearly finding this oddly humorous. His name was no big secret. It was not grand revelation by any means. It was just fun for him to withhold such pieces of personal information. Only to see how others reacted to this lack of knowledge. "My name is whatever you wish it to be," he told her in a suggestive tone of voice. "Whichever name you would prefer calling out in protest." He was still speaking under the assumption that he was actually going to take advantage of her. That she could decide what name she wished to yell out in objection.

::vaughn:: Vaughn was not an impatient man. He could wait for as long as it took for her to abide his words. Though part of him had a feeling she would not. Unless, he had instilled enough fear in her to get her to do what he willed. It was all a game to him. Clearly not to her. But to him, the perverse pleasure of controlling any given situation was what fueled his words and actions. She did not seem to share his amusement in the matter. Her graceful features, while still soft, held a degree of fear in them. It was evident that she was not used to this kind of behavior. To these kinds of demands. And yet, her dress was so very unique. Alluring to any man who had not seen such a style before. Vaughn had traveled the world and this was one of the first women he had come across with such an attire. Unfortunately for her, it had been enough to force his presence on to her.
When she moved her head closer to him, Vaughn's smile only spread. Her discomfort brought him sheer pleasure. Especially on such suggestive commands as the one he had made. Would she comply? Would she resist? She began to slip to her knees, Vaughn's locked gaze on her showed the tears in her eyes. He wondered if he could break her. Only to prove that it was possible. He watched her carefully. It was as if she was a magnet, constantly pulling his sight to her; some unseen force making sure it stayed there. Vaughn did not consider himself a weak man; but she certainly had a way of distracting him with her undeniable beauty.
But he had to focus. Once she was on her knees, crying, Vaughn's smirk remained plastered on his lips. He reached to his side and pulled out a large dagger. He would have gone for the sword. But since they were so close in distance, he did not need such a long weapon. He slowly began to release his hold in her wrist, only to replace one threatening action with another. He held the sword against her throat, at a side angle. All it would take would be one strong swipe and her throat would be slit. Of course, he would not yet do that, if at all. He did not even cut her. It would be quite a shame to create any blemish on her soft, fair skin. While he kept the dagger there, he did not yet place too much pressure. So the cool metal would just be gently [if such a word could be used to describe this placement] rested against her throat. "Would you risk your life, to save your virtue?"

::vaughn:: Vaughn was no gentleman. He had not intended this to be an embrace filled with emotions of affection and care for one another. Yet, her response to it had been surprising. He had not expected the kiss to last for long as it had. What he thought would be only a second, turned into several. Though it did not discourage him. He maintained his position. Finding it easier to do so for she did not pull away. Interesting indeed. The fact that her reaction to his kiss was unexpected, only meant that he was further intrigued by her. This was a rarity for Vaughn. And determined that he was not about to do this and just walk away. She had captured his attention. From the moment he saw her. But now, it was solely due to her physical appearance.
When she pulled away, he immediately opened his eyes. His lips were no longer to conformed to the shape that had granted access to hers. They curve into a smile, seeing the very subtle tears in her corners of her eyes. Furthermore, feeling her begin to pull her wrist away from his grasp. But Vaughn had no intention of letting her go. Not right now anyway. Her body language told him everything that he needed to know. True, he had thought his action would be rejected. But it had not. She was not striking him across the face with her free hand. Nor was she glaring at him. She was, blushing. Such modesty for a woman. Perhaps she was one who's virtue was still in tact. Which only motivated Vaughn to make this experience more uncomfortable for her.
He tightened his hold on her wrist, to indicate he would not release it just yet. "Now what if I were to demand that you remove your clothing." He was pushing it. And he was well aware of this. His sadistic smile and that sinister gleam in his eyes only added to the crudeness of his words. Or, demand rather. He would see just how far her innocence truly went.

::vaughn:: She was just one of those people. Finding the good in everyone. A notion of an idealist, wishing for the best, even when faced with the worst. Had Vaughn had any sort of conscience, he would not have done half the things he had. He would not resort to murder, blackmail and exploitation, thievery, and so on. And set simply spouting off his list of crimes seemed insufficient. He wanted her to see for herself; to experience that he was not one who had kindness in his heart. But proving that, right now, would be difficult. Not because he has reservations, but because there was no one else around. No other means to use. Just her. And her, alluring self. That only seemed to draw him in more. Seeing the way she looked away from him, was easily recognized as an expression of how uncomfortable she felt. Good. That was at least a start then. So as she spoke her words, he kept his eyes intently locked on her. The notion of personal space escaped him. As did the rudeness in staring at someone.
"There is only one way to find out," he told her, in a rather pleased voice. He was almost anticipating for her to say something that he could do. Something that would disprove her. Yet the question had remained unresolved. "And that is dependent on what you say. And what I do." What he could do. How far he would go. Right now, judging from their position he could certainly imply a dark evil that only the most crude of men would ever do. After all, they were so close, and it would only take the slightest movement forward. Asserting his dominance in forceful means. While Vaughn was anything but a rapist, she did not know that. Perhaps he would see, after all, how far she believed he would go. So with that, he grabbed her wrist with his hand, to ensure she stayed in place; to have that hold over her. And finally closed the distance, his lips now firmly pressed against hers. Her reaction could entail a number of things: a slap on the face, a kick in the groin. Either way, he was prepared to see the extent of what she would do in return to this, intimate action.

::vaughn:: My my, wasn't she defiant. Truth be told, Vaughn would not lose any sleep over Alistair's death. He would lose a decent partner in crime, but that was easily replaceable. Sort of. Either way, Vaughn kept an amused smile on his lips. Showing no remorse for hearing about the druid's possible death. If she 'loved' him as much as he 'loved' her then she would not kill him. He doubted she would. "Shame. He would be more useful to you alive I am sure," he said. Who knows what desires he could satisfy in the lady. "Unless he has already worn out his use to you." Unless she moved on that quickly. He had already called her a whore. His implications to this insult would not so easily cease. Besides, he was enjoying himself too much. Especially since he knew this would not be the last time he saw her.
Contrary to popular belief, Vaughn was not stupid, despite his next decision. He could tie her up and make a quick escape. Or, he could give himself more of a challenge and confront the druid. He chuckled at her offer, knowing that it was somewhat rhetorical for what mad man would willingly enter the dungeons? Vaughn however, was not known for being sane. "I would much rather you bring him up here. So that we put that ever so large bed to use." Meaning, well. The meaning in his words were fairly obvious.

::vaughn:: Their conversation may seem like it was going in circles. But Vaughn was getting a great deal of information. While his questions were not being answered, he was studying her carefully. He had not believed it when she told him that she was simply a peaceful traveler. And this doubt had been confirmed when she went on to say that she had revealed her identity too early before. Which meant, that she was someone of more importance than she was letting on. These possibilities could not be so easily narrowed down. It could entail a wide range of things. But she had managed to peak Vaughn's curiosity. The more a person talked, the more you could get from them.
"If you believe I am working for them, then why do you ask me what direction Camelot is in. You expressed your doubt in trusting me. Why trust my answer?" It was understandable; common even, for a woman, not to trust a male stranger. Yet, if that were the case, why would she trust in his answer to her question? She asked it enough times, seeming desperate, admitting to being desperate. Would she really believe him if he pointed her in a direction? "Seems we have reached an impass," he said with slight amusement. He was not going to tell her answers; if she was not going to tell him. Nor was he going to let her out of his sight if the return to her previous captor could prove to be profitable for him. Either way, she was staying right here. Only she did not know it yet.

::vaughn:: Vaughn was doing what he normally did. Absolutely nothing. The boredom of the world continued ensue as he was seriously lacking entertainment or any form of amusement whatsoever. The woods were large. It took time to come across anything that struck remote interest in him. Plus, he was not doing anything to help himself. He was currently leaning against a tree, sharpening one of his daggers. He needed to find another horse, but that would be easily arranged once his weapons were probably prepared. Clad only in his knightly attire of a foreign seal, and two swords strapped on his back, he was prepared to search for anyone who he could steal from. Or, perhaps find a more devious way to get the animal.
While he silently thought of such things, without so much as plotting for Vaughn often did not plan things, he heard a set of footprints rushing his way. He did not look up. Not until he saw from the corner of his eye a vibrant red cloak that immediately captured his attention, for it meant it was a woman. He broke his gaze from his dagger, quickly tucking it into its holster as his eyes rest on the runner. She looked, exasperated. Interesting. He took a few steps forward so that he would somewhat block her path. If she moved past him, all he would have to do is move to the side. It would not be too difficult to overpower her either. She was petite.
As he got a better view of her, his lips curved into a bit of a smile. His eyes scanned over her, as only a man would peer over a woman, his gaze emphasizing each curve of her body. It was a look meant to make her uncomfortable, as if he was peering too closely at her. Of course, every woman reacted differently to such a gaze. He would have to see what her reaction would be. He continued to do so until his eyes finally rested on her face. Delicate features. Fair skin. Alluring eyes. She looked almost porcelain. And she was positively exquisite. Vaughn could indeed have some fun with this. "Where are you going in such a hurry?" He asked in a bit of a playful voice. Today was going to be interesting after all.

::vaughn:: Vaughn had nothing to do with any of the business that was taking place here. He was merely here out of boredom. Out of a lack of anything better to do. And of course, more importantly, to see what sort of trouble he could stir up. It was not difficult really. Alistair was here. Princess Isadora was here. That was all he needed really to cause some problems. Posing as a knight from Gwent, he had access to most resources that he needed. He was able to be in the company of those higher up. And, he would have access to the castle. Which is why he was here, only to create a diversion. any of the knights were in the training field, sparring. Practicing. As some of them seemed to want to create a bit of an informal tournament. Hmm. This could prove to be the best distraction; one that would allow him to slip into the castle while everyone was busy paying attention to the 'fight'.
Now, he needed it to be a worthy one. He casually glanced around at the potential participants. It did not take long to find the perfect two. Alistair. And Prince Arthur. Yes. Perfect. The tension between them was already great, and this would give them an opportunity to have an intense fight, one that was a bit more serious than just friendly sparing. As the men discussed how they were going to go about doing this, Vaughn decided to interject. Their nonesense was wasting precious time. Time that could be better spent sneaking into the castle and taking what he could. "I have a suggestion, if I may." Politeness. He had to be though, just for now so that he would be heard.
"What about Sir Alistair of Gwent," -- Vaughn had to pause for a moment, holding back laughter at how ridiculous that title sounded in front of the Druid's name. "And Prince Arthur of Camelot." The two appeared to be a good match. One had a reputation as a strong combatant, the other had the size and apparent strength to be a suitable match. Of course, Vaughn did not use this logic to suggest the pair. He knew that the fight would turn into something more personal. Others however were not aware of this. That much was clear when they all began to nod their heads, seemingly impressed with this match.

::vaughn:: This was getting old, very fast. He was growing impatient to seeing who exactly it was that he was chasing after. The deeper he went into the maze, the more she would be straying from him. Perhaps it would be best to remain in one place so that he could try and get some sense of direction as to where she was. Where she was going to. Where he could continue to follow her. He would have to get to her before she got out of the maze, that much was for certain. It may help if he put his sword away. Not out of sympathy for her feelings. But because he did not want to lose this game of cat and mouse.
He stopped chopping the hedges, noticing that it made little different. The greenery was thick enough and the only sign that they had been tampered with, were the few twigs and leaves that had fallen victim to his blade. He stopped walking for a moment. Trying to mask his voice into something less sinister and something more, friendly. "I will not hurt you," he said in a slightly raised voice, only to ensure that she could hear him. "I am a traveler, lost, tired and hungry. I only wish for aid." Vaughn had nearly choked on his won words, but managed to get them out with some sort of composure. Whether she believed him though, was an entirely different matter. Only time would tell as he awaited her response

::vaughn:: There was something about her cold glare and tone of voice, that sent some sort of chill down Vaughn's spine. It gave him a strange sort of thrill, to encounter someone so out of the norm. So out of the ordinary. Yes. There was something different about her indeed, and Vaughn was highly intrigued. He continued to smile. Had he any sort of warning instincts, they would have been screaming at him to get away. But it was a good thing he did not. For that was what kept him firmly in place before her. Solve the ruckus? Hmm. "I believe it has already been resolved, for I no longer see men throwing themselves at each other only to impress you." No thanks to him, and he was well aware of this fact. It was only because she had managed to sneak away unnoticed, for everyone was distracted beating up each other. The fools missed the point of the entire thing. Then again, one could never rely on a drunk man to be perceptive.
"Besides, I thought it would have caused you to feel, flattered," he said, a bit teasingly. He knew that it would lead to a fight. That woman, contrary to popular belief, did not enjoy a bunch of men fighting over them. A couple, perhaps. But not a bunch of drunkards. Plus, she seemed to already know that he was the one who started this whole situation. How? Who knows. Maybe she was more perceptive than he had given her credit for. Maybe she was more than just a pretty face. Maybe she actually had a brain in there.

::vaughn:: Vaughn suppressed laughter after hearing her first few words. He was assuming her question as a rhetorical one. So she had been roughing it, here in the woods for so long. Poor thing. Not really. Vaughn could care less if the men came right now and took her away once again. But perhaps somehow, he could use this situation to his advantage. He would require more information before making that assessment. Her bold statement of not being afraid of the woods, well, Vaughn once again had to refrain from laughing. Clearly, something had rattled her. It was overly bold statements like that which he found truly pathetic. He did not make this known yet. He instead, continued to listening to what she was saying.
Ah. A claim of innocence. Clearly, she must have done something to have struck an interest in her captor. "What kind of cruel man? I can not imagine anyone wanting to harm a woman such as yourself." He was trying to find out more details of her situation. If the man who was after her was desperate enough to once again have the woman in her clutches, then perhaps Vaughn could get a hefty price for her exchange. If not, then, he would have to find another suitable reward. Or just ignore her completely. He comment about her finding him having been good fortune, was the most amusing remark out of them all. At this, he did chuckle, though did his best to make it sound less, sinister. Less so than his normal laughter. "I will do whatever I can." Not. "Start from the beginning, for in order to help you, I must know your situation in its entirety." There. He could not have asked more bluntly than that.

::vaughn:: With her little strategic movements, light weight, and speedy gestures, he did indeed stumble. But this was far from any sort of admittance of defeat. Before nearly hitting the ground after his already compromised balance becoming less stable when she kicked him, he managed to catch himself. He did not fall. Nor did he feel threatened by her words, or even actions. Instead, her 'threat' caused him to deeply chuckle, as he gave her a slightly amused smile. He was leaning towards not killing her. Where would the fun in that be anyway. It was not every day that he came across a fake damsel in distress, who in actuality, wished to pick a fight with men. Well, that was what it seemed like. He was still curious to find out her motives for doing this. To rob someone. An ambush perhaps. If it was an ambush then her companions were not very attentive, nor did they have good timing.
Vaughn kept a bit of a distance from her, as much as she allowed after her break from his grasp. "My my. Feisty little creature aren't you," he commented, still smiling. His words were taunting and mocking towards her, obviously. Vaughn more so enjoyed provoking people through verbal means. It always provided great amusement to see what affected them. To see how to get a rise out of them. He intended to find out what sort of subject would cause this from her. One that he already knew of, was to simply ignore her. For the first time he had done that, she did not take too well to it.

::vaughn:: Vaughn enjoyed certain kinds of games, but hedge mazes were not one of them. Then again, the prize at the end of it may make this tedious task of running through the greenery, worth it. Truth be told, he did not know where he was going. And he was not going to do this all day long. While he had nothing better to do, he wanted to see the woman that had made him enter this ridiculous maze in the first place. He had tried to follow her but lost direction. It seemed that she knew where she was going. Either that or she just frantically ran about with one purpose in mind: trying to stay away from him. He could not exactly blame her for that either. Even if it did slightly annoy him.
And so, he did what he always did when something annoyed him. He drew his sword and began to cut through the shrubbery. "Come out, come out, wherever you are," he said in a taunting voice, almost like a cat call, trying to instill some sort of fear in the woman, hoping that she was close enough to hear the lashing of his sword. She could of course be one of those woman that the world seemed to be filled with: strong, argumentative and stubborn. Or, she would be the exact opposite which quite frankly, were the kind of women Vaughn had more fun toying around with.

::vaughn:: Vaughn just continued to smirk. It was safe to say that his partnership with Alistair was at its end. He had fallen for this woman, and with that, all the strings attached to being with a woman who would not condone his behavior. One that led to kidnapping royals and nobles of the like. It was a shame too really. Alistair had been useful. One of the few people that Vaughn made an effort to see more than once. For the sole reason that their alliance had been quite profitable. And now, this woman had ruined it all. Damn women. This is why 'love' was the most ridiculous, delusional notion man had ever concocted to make themselves feel less lonely. Pathetic. Utterly pathetic.
"Oh trust me My Lady. There is of course something you can do that may persuade me to silence." He went back to suggestive propositions, knowing she would not go for it, but enjoyed the vulgar taunting. "If Alistair had gotten you to do it, then that means it must not be very difficult to do." In other words, he was calling her easy. It did not matter to him that he was being so disrespectful to a future Queen of a kingdom. Respect was one of the many lacking traits of Vaughn Adeney. "Speaking of the man rotting away in the dungeon, what is it that you plan to do to him?" That was part of the reason he was here after all. To find out the future of the man who he had successfully kidnapped and held others for ransom with. It was not out of compassion. It was out of sheer curiosity. Besides, it gave him a reason to pay the lovely Isadora a little visit. And he would never pass up an opportunity to do that.

::vaughn:: Women were such interesting creatures. The more he tried to get the better of them, the more resilient they were. Interesting indeed. He had not expected her to move towards him, so he sure as hell did not expect her to slowly touch his face. He did not fail to recognize the way she did it either. It was done with less suggestion and more, innocence. Was that the word? He was unsure. Her words did not settle well with him either. She was trying to find good in him, trying to justify it by saying he had not yet hurt her. Vaughn did not like the sound of that. He did not like people telling him that there was hope for him to be good. Sometimes it worked to his advantage to have such naive people, but right now, it did not prove to be beneficial to him so therefore; he was annoyed by it.
He did not show this, tucking away any sort of emotion, other than a sinister smirk on his face. Now that she was closer, he began to lean in as if he was about to kiss her, but instead, paused when their lips were only inches apart. "Now what would it take to convince you how untrue your words are," he asked in a deep, slightly amused tone of voice. He meant this question in terms of the fact that he could have hurt her only then; or even that there was both good and bad in everyone. Really, he wanted to see just how far her innocence would take her.

::vaughn:: Vaughn kept his eyes locked on her, watching her every move intently. It was going to get increasingly difficult to sit here, attempting to blend into the background. For he was the only man sitting. Ironically, it drew attention to himself from the men who were riled up and just looking for someone as an outlet for their hostility. Vaughn would be no such scapegoat. After all, he had only technically urged a few men to make a move. Though he did know full well how the situation would escalate. He had been in enough taverns and encountered enough drunk men to know just what to say. Which was why this woman was so out of the ordinary. When she said something to the barkeeper and began to move towards the door, Vaughn immediately stood up. He took one final gulp of his drink, putting the mug back onto the table. Even though seconds after a body was thrown on to it, breaking the entire thing.
This was Vaughn's cue. He casually walked through the mad crowd, seeing which exit she had gone through and without asking the bar keepers permission, walked through the same one. Once he was outside his eyes scanned his surroundings, not taking long to find the mysteriously alluring woman. A small smirk formed on his lips as he took a couple of steps towards her. "You certainly did create quite a ruckus back there." His eyes surveyed her body, trailing up and down, thoroughly inspecting her in a way that only men would do towards women. "Not that I can blame them for fighting over such an, exquisite figure."

::vaughn:: Ah. There it was. Her courage or defiance, or whatever one would call it was slowly building. It would only make things more interesting. Especially when she did not take a step back at his advancing one. Now how far could he take this. How far could he push her. He had already made her attack his, sensitive area. What else was there left to do? She did not seem like a killer, nor was she running. Oh yes. This was going to be great fun. "I believe you chose one for me," he teased. It was not the first time he had been called a bastard and he was fairly certain it would not be the last. It was just particularly amusing it hear it from such innocent lips. From a woman who had resorted to tears, who now fought defensively. When she went on to say that she did not like this side of her, only reaffirmed his assumption that she did not act like this often.
He took another step towards her. "You say that like it is a bad thing," he stated, as she pointed out that people like him brought it out. Her next comment posted an interesting subject. Vaughn knew he had no light one. At times he did things that others felt were a favor to them, when in reality, he had his own selfish motives for everything. So self reflecting, he did not believe he had a light side. But now where would the fun be in revealing that right away? As they were still strangers towards each other, there was still a lot to learn. "Why don't you come closer and find out." His voice was urging her to come towards him, rather than him step towards her. It was almost like a cat call, attempting to lure her to him as he waited with anticipation to see how she would react.

::vaughn:: Lost. Sir. Camelot. Oh this was going to be very fun. Vaughn was no gentleman. He was not about to help her in any way. He had to wonder what she was running from. For if he waited for it to catch up to her, would that prove to be more beneficial than actually helping her? Hmm. It was a tough decision to make. He would first try to ask as much as he could about what had forced her into her current predicament. He took one more step forward, still leaving a decent amount of space between them. "It will be dark soon. Are you certain it is wise for a woman of such exemplary beauty to be wandering in the night on her own." Vaughn did not ask because he cared. It was easy to make it sound like he was actually concerned about her safety.
By reminding her of the dangers that lurked within the woods, even more so at night, well, if this woman had any common sense then she would not be too ready to dismiss them. Then again, people did all sort of unpredictable things. Including him. "I assume someone is after you," he stated nonchalantly. He did not over display any concern, but his statement called for a further explanation that only she could provide since she was the one running from something, or someone. And whatever it was, had done quite a bit to her already.
